AdventHealth Reviews

Before you go to AdventHealth, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Altamonte Springs emergency room think.

Ryan Davis Just pour of overall service. Especially after what me and my wife are better together. That’s not your business but if you have any family problems I wouldn’t go here and go somewhere else like downtown they were good.Jennifer byrd Horrible experience for my daughter and myself as a parent having to watch my child in pain and the way they treated her like it didn’t matter. My daughter entered the ER with chest and abdominal pains. I explained my daughter’s symptoms and that she had an ear infection and only had a couple days left of meds and should be feeling better. Dr. Perry checked her ear and said it was fine. Dr. Perry actually told my 11 year old daughter she was not going to do anything and was sending her home because there were real people with problems and dying and that she was fine. We went and got care elsewhere to get to the bottom of her issues no thanks to AdentHealth. The next day the pediatrician informed us that her ear infection was in fact not healing and was very bad and changed her meds. I would not recommend going there ever. Why would any doctor ever tell a child their symptoms aren’t of their concern. I can’t believe we have to pay for that kind of treatment. Shame on you Dr. Perry.John Clancy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedKind warm staff always helps meEvan H Worst experience ever… I came in pregnant and uncontrollable vomiting. Took 30 min to get back them 2 hours to get an actual Iv meanwhile no one asked if I could use anything except the ultrasound tech who got me a warm blanket because my vomiting was giving me sweats and chills. The nurse told me to leave a urine sample and he’d be back to get it in 5 min… over an hour later he strolls in asks if I left the sample…. uhhh duh! I’m literally about to walk out and just go to the Iv lounge so I can get he fluids I need.Emily Fraser after my time at this ER early this morning with my five year old, i can strongly suggest to go to another hospital. We arrived at around 2:45 after my son was having trouble breathing at home (wheezing/croup). They got us back to our room quickly but once that curtain was drawn….we were forgotten about. 20 minutes goes by. I peak outside. no one to found. 10 more minutes. i heard some noises….it was the cleaning crew. finally after 40 minutes i found a nurse sitting at a station. I told her we’ve been waiting for nearly 45 minutes and no one has checked on us or even monitored my son’s breathing! (you can hear him down the hall – croup has that distinct seal bark sound) She hooked his finger up to the pulse machine and said the dr will be with us shortly. 20 more minutes and a different nurse tells us we need to change rooms as they are cleaning this section of the hospital. Are you kidding me. It’s 4:30 am and i’m now carrying my exhausted 5 year old to another room. I say we’re going to have to leave soon if no one sees us soon. I have to remind them we’re there because he’s having difficulty breathing. “oh, right” as his finger is hooked up again. 10 minutes. no one comes. I’m done. If it took that long BEFORE any evaluation, treatment & discharge….we were going to be there for 4 more hours if we didn’t leave. I understand Drs are busy and there were cases that could have been more pressing than ours…but the lack of attention is what was so frustrating and unacceptable in my opinion.Kyle Harwell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had a nasty fall and needed stitches. I was in and out quick with the best care I’ve ever received from a hospital.Destiny Bell I went to this ER today around noon with a family member. I asked if they took my family members insurance, and they could not tell me. Concerned about cost with no answer about insurance, I expressed my concern and tried to inquire if this ER was the place I should go for a family member passing out three times that day and being a little concerned about some twitching with the passing out, or if it was considered a minor emergency better handled by urgent care. The man next to the front desk woman kept looking right over at me as I spoke smirking as I expressed concern. Then when I looked back at him, he quickly looked away and stifled a laugh. I found this inappropriate. They said insurance is handled after being admitted. Never has someone not been able to tell me if my insurance is in network before being admitted (being admitted would cost money.) The CareSpot urgent care down the street (where I went after I left here) told me right away if my insurance was accepted there and were sincere when I spoke to them. I told the ER before I left for the urgent care instead, I did not appreciate someone stifling laughs and smiling when I am expressing concern. They stated he is a volunteer so they can’t do anything about him, and refused to acknowledge that his smirks, all his face expressions and body language while I was talking was inappropriate. They tried to say he is just a happy person who smiles and laughs, and it had nothing to do with me. However, I know the difference between someone who is just smiling in general, and someone whose stifled laughs are directly timed to something I asked who keeps looking away when I stare at him after he stifled a laugh. They did not empathize or accept how that behavior can come off to a patient even if he was not in fact laughing at me (which I really think he was and find completely unprofessional). Additionally, the response of oh well he’s a volunteer so nothing I can do is not professional. I will never go here again. I will never recommend someone go here.Juleiny Jiménez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey serve you super fast
