Before you go to Adventist Health, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Hanford emergency room think.
Lauren CabelloBeen waiting the longest time to get seen. Some of the physician assistants are just in the room talking. Saw one of their friends in the airing room brought them in to check in #3 and have been talking for a good twenty min. Like do your work you’re not clocked out.YPolo16⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLiterally the best ED experience I’ve had. Being an ER RN myself, I am intimately familiar with the trials & tribulations involved with an ED experience. Discontent is the norm, while appreciation is the rarity. With this visit, though, I want to let Administration, as well as Departmental staff, know how well I was treated and genuinely how appreciative I am. THANK YOU and KUDOS on a job well done!! Keep up the good work and positive attitudes!!Kymberle West⭐️⭐️Took 4 months to get Mammogram scheduled. They kept telling me they would call when approved and my insurance doesn’t require pre-approval. Tech was wonderful.Jennifer Martinez⭐️⭐️⭐️On one occasion, they may have saved my life, but on another, it was endangered due to bias and lack of action. Both times I came in with severely low potassium levels, but the second time the doctor argued with me and my fiance, accusing me of drug and alcohol use, as I slipped in and out of consciousness. He refused to treat me before testing my blood. Things changed suddenly when I tested clean/sober, and I finally received the treatment I needed. I gave no reason for the doctor to doubt me, nor do I have a history of drug use or alcohol abuse. I do have a history of reaching frighteningly low levels of potassium. The treatment you get at the emergency room all depends on the doctor. It’s a gamble. Some are great, some are terrible. That’s why I gave a 3-star rating.Angelica SantosI wasn’t going to rate this.i called Adventist to leave a complaint and they didn’t even have the courtesy to call me back. We went to the emergency room to take our baby on January 2nd had a small fever early and symptoms of a cold she’s 1. We waited 2-3 hours and never saw a Dr. Was sent a prescription with a nurse without séeing her. Than at around 9pm her fever hiked to 104.8 we took her to.the emergency again told them what had happened earlier and that she had a high fever was told take a seat 3hour wait and that the fever that high was normal. I explained to them that earlier we waited and didn’t see a Dr. Asked if I would see one. He responded with “Could be that you won’t”. Mind you this was at reception desk was not a nurse or Dr just a receptionist. Than he tells me Look at all of these people they are sick you have to wait. We left to Children’s explained what happened earlier at Hanford they could not believe it 1st of all that they would prescribe something without seeing the patient and that they would say that fever that high is normal. Thank God for Childrens hospital they took her in fast because of the fever and kept her a day. Will not take her here again. I would not give them a star if it would allow me to.Andrea YanezWorst hospital ever brought my 2 year old son at 7 pm for a cut on his forehead and it’s been over 3 hours waiting for them to stitch it up I highly do not recommend this hospital for serious illnesses.! Had to leave to Visalia for further assistanceKimberly Cattnach⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff were extremely polite and respectful. Very kind as well.manuel capetillo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat staff icu care doctors and all .KELLY GILLETTThey discharged a loved one prematurely without the right care. They knew this patient had pneumonia and still refused to give antibiotics even after they were asked. The patient had to go to Clovis community hospital to receive the proper care as their health started to decline shortly after being discharged from Adventist Health Hanford. It’s sad to think this isn’t the first and only time they’ve done this. How many others have suffered due to their malpractice? When will people unite and stand up against these criminals?theron dutrathis is the worst hospital in the world, you’d have a better chance of treating whatever problem you have yourself. if you have a serious problem, take the extra 15 minutes MAX to go to visalia. this place will tell you that your allergies are acting up if you have bronchitis and if you have a gash in your foot from playing with your dog they would rather you sign animal control papers to put your dog down than treat your foot. this place is hell and they only want to gouge people for their money. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLEking juniorThis place stinks I walk in and it automatically smells like armpit sweat so nasty. I would like to see the waiting room more clean and welcoming I don’t want to walk in and having to hold my breath while I wait.Mary Blyth Jones⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was surprised how quickly I was seen and attended to. Very professional, clean, and efficient.fany flores0 STARS Came in at around 3.30 PM, was placed in the hallway and waited over an hour to be registered in and another 3 hours to even be asked what was wrong finally had some x-ray done and I’m still waiting for the results at 12.30 AM. Still no word on anything except “we know you have been here a while, just wait for the results” if I could move on my own I would have left a long time ago to any other hospital. To the owner who might reply to this with the generic our sensirest apology… etc etc. Dont bother this hospital does not care for people or the service it’s supposed to provide.Cheryl Bergren⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent in for xrays. I was checked in and back in xray all in 10 minn. The front line people were very nice. The xray tech took her time and put me at ease. The very best and positive experience. The Lizzi Liz⭐️⭐️Like any hospital, there are great doctors and nurses that do care. And there are those that mess it up for the rest. Some CNAs get annoyed when you ask for bathroom assistance. I was a fall risk so I had to call for assistance, if it wasn’t for that I would have gone on my own. They did not listen to my diet needs and kept bringing me foods I cant eat. My mom brought me food from home.Thomas HurdOur mother was taken to the ER facility here on Friday, November 8 (late evening) due to a chronic condition (bacterial pneumonia) by my younger sibling who lives in the area. She was discharged around 3:00am and give a prescription for antibiotics to address the pneumonia. I learned of her condition and made to the trip to Hanford (3.5 hours) to visit my mom and upon my arrival noticed she was in a very bad state. We quickly took her to Saint Agnes in Fresno, as she had no appetite, weak, etc. We learned her pneumonia was severe, along with diabetes needed to be addressed. Saint Agnes did a wonderful job addressing her conditions. However, the facility in Hanford did a horrible job releasing her without proper diagnosis and could have led to a disasterous situation. I will be reaching out to this facility and communicating the lack of due diligence and negligence demonstrated by this facility. Here is another example of what is wrong with the health care system in this country.Jason Metune5 and a half hours, so many have came in after us and have already left. It’s like they have forgotten all about us. I asked the nurse how much longer and he said I was next and then they called 3 more people back the had only been waiting half the time I was. They need a better system. They should have never made this hospital they are very disorganized. The ers went much smoother here in Hanford when there was 2 open.Muhammad FusenigThere have been a few people that I know who have had bad experiences with this Hospital. I went into the ER last weekend and my gripe is with the Staff. First, my nurse sets my IV without wearing gloves. He misses twice and finally gets it on the third. Second, my nurse handles my urine and then wipes whatever he has on his hands on his pants leg… again, not wearing gloves. Third, when I asked for a pillow, after laying down for a few hours without one, the nurse comes out with a sheet with holes in it. He doesn’t give me a blanket either. Lastly, he takes out my IV without gloves and without washing his hands. Incredibly unprofessional and unsanitary….Anahi LinanWORSE hospital ever. Waited 3 hours in the emergency room just for a doctor to tell us that I’d be getting a shot and another 3 hours to GET the shot. Not only that, but there was an old woman who was CRYING of pain and they STILL had her wait. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone, AT ALL.Rheanne ThompsonWaiting at the emergency room its been almost 4 hours and its about to hit midnight for a blowout fracture. Doctor said its nothing to worry about but i dont understand why were still waiting. So much for an emergency room .. my boyfriend lays in a bed in the hall way and he fell asleep waiting across from us are all of the front desk nurses laughing as they share jokes around and the doctor who consulted us is sitting behind. We all work and we just want to get home and rest.WE DO NOT recomend this hospital at all . I would feel bad for anyone with major serious injuries.Ashley Oard-MasseyCame in for appendix pain at 10:10, Nurse has come in twice and told “I am doing this so i don’t have to come back and do your vital signs and makes me life easier” But i’ve seen her twice in 6 hours…. Dr. Just won’t get me out and ask me to follow up with my PCM who understands my medical history better. But nope.Maria SanchezWaited for hours and never got to see a doctor. Nurse told me my son had a sprain to keep his foot elevated turns out it was a spider bite that was getting infected.Makenzie RankinOne start isn’t low enough. I wa brought In an ambulance with a severe allergic reaction and i sat for 3 hours and never even saw a nurse. Had the emergency medication I’d been given in the ambulance not kicked in I’d be dead. Useless as a hospital and useless staff. I won’t put the worst human on earth in their care.F A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone was very nice, and registering was easy and fast. The wait time was not long at all.PJSat there for three hours never got seen by doctor. Just left.Susie RN1814⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI left kaweah delta after sitting in a tent for over an hour without any vitals sign done. History of pulmonary embolisms with very similar symptoms. Left to go to Hanford Adventist and was immediately seen with CT being done. I know I went ahead of other patients only that my symptoms were under the Emergency umbrella. So many times people come to the ER with minor symptoms that they even say “oh I’ve had this for a couple of months” why don’t they go the doctor then. ER means emergency room. Great job Adventist.Jana Dudley⭐️⭐️⭐️I was told to come for a test at 12:30 so I came at 12:15 not realizing it was not the appt. time rather it meant a 30 minute wait while I filled out a form that took about 5 minutes to complete. There were 2 of us with the same appt. time and I was called back about 1:20.JoAnn WatersMy best friend is a medical professional that works for Hanford hospital. She said Hanford hospital lets people die and its a horrible place. Twice now she has drove to Fresno for emergencies instead of her own town. What does that say about Hanford Er. Get it togther. STOP LETTING PEOPLE DIE!!!Angelo MagniaThis hospital runs a 5150 ward on 2 north! Beware!!Rick Durr⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWas only there for labs. Staff did great job of making me feel welcome & valued.Efren AyonMy wife went in at 3am and was 10 in the morning. Was told she was next on the list and asked do I need to go to another hospital and was told do what you have to do. Poor service ended up in Madera hospital getting emergency surgery worst place to go to not recommended and by the way hospital wasn’t even full….Speed44Went to the emergency room, Do not go there! Wife had procedure done 2 days before and doctor told her if she starts vomiting & has extreme pain to get to hospital ASAP. We went she was put in wheel chair and told to wait, after 2 1/2 hours we were still not seen, she could not lay down and finally we had to leave so she could go home and lay down as the pain was to bad. We will chance it and go to the doctors office in the morning. Very Sad!Elizabeth Kelley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Wonderful Doctors and especially the nursing staff!Katie GammonsHorrible! I have been waiting nearly 4 hours still not seen by a doctor. Same thing happened to me last time! When asked they state your next, ask again an hour later they state your next and they only have one nurse on staff for the ER. Um what? There is no care for patients throwing up or affecting others in the waiting room. Adventist truly knows it’s the only option I’m Hanford and does little to help.Daniela RodriguezTook my sister on like 5 back to back occasions because she didn’t feel well she has mental health problems and they automatically saw that on her file and assumed it was al in her head gave her anxiety meds all 4 visits except for the final they said you’d seem to be dehydrated every time I’m like no duh she has non stop diahrea I brought up metformin and lactic acidosis and the doctor said oh yeah I see it’s a bit high so just stop taking it and schedule an appointment to see your primary so she can prescribe a different diabetic medication I’m like she could’ve died because on the 4th day I made her stop taking itRonald Allvin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEmployees at the Mammography Dept. were very pleasant and nice to deal with.Alicia MarieCalled to get some help with a problem (nothing complicated) and they told me exactly “I can’t give medical advice over the phone. You’ll have to come in to the ER” So I called a clinic in Lemoore and they actually took the time to help me out. Gave me advice and set up an appointment for me. Also said if I was still worried I could go to the ER but it was nothing to worry over. Super nice people at the Lemoore clinic.Katherine TaylorThis would be a zero if I could. Absolutely the worst service ever, husband was sent here from urgent care 7 hours ago as an EMERGENCY. Throwing up blood, dehydrated. Saw a doctor, he ordered a room and IV meds, STILL HAVE GOT NO TREATMENT WHATSOEVER. Still sitting 7 hours after seeing a doctor. Ultrasound over 2 hours ago, no results… internal bleeding of some sort is obviously not an EMERGENCY in their eyes. But instead sit the emergency people in the waiting room with contagious people…. cold flu coughs etc. Absolutely lack of care.Tricia Kinchen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat hospital and caring staff. I usually dislike hospitals and avoid them but an unfortunate situation caused me to end up there. I was far away from home and they made me feel safe helped however they could. Even provided a charger for my phone.J CIf you ever need to go to the ER take yourself to Visalia or Fresno. Expect a 5-6 hour wait if you decide to go to Adventist Health. Went there 3 times in the last 2 months for abdominal pain. Every time I went same results. The 3rd visit I was there for 5 hours still without being treated with medication to ease the pain. Out of frustration I went to another hospital out of town and it turns out I needed surgery asap. If you need to go to the ER take yourself somewhere out of town.Pepe SilviaSo the Dr pulls you aside near the waiting room bathrooms to give you your diagnosis now?John Mejia⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFor the past week I’ve been in and out of the ER and and overnight stay, and it has been a complete nightmare of it wasn’t for Anthony, an RN in ER(believes he works the night shift). Couldn’t ask for better help from a caring human being. Also, a shout out to Ge(a nurse upstairs) and Tyrone aka Ty. Also Dr. Hoffman is legit and straight to the point. So my 5 stars go out to having these people on staff.Noel HaycraftI would give a zero. I am appalled at the level of apathy of this ER staff. My husband dropped me off on Friday afternoon with severe dehydration, but when he came back 3 hours later (3 hours!! When I had been vomiting over 30 times!!), I was still in the waiting room getting worse. I had a panic attack in the waiting room and was told to just calm down. I was also denied ice chips by Jerry, but in Aventist Health literature it says ice chips are good for vomiting especially if you can’t hold down liquids(which I couldn’t). So I say these people need to remember the “care” part in medical care. On a good note, once I got to a room, Dr. Johnson and the other staff was phenomenal! Dr. Johnson treated me with compassion, respect, and told it straightforward no judgement. Great doctor!XIS VLOGSTerrible ER service. A Doctor came in cursing at My brother speaking all kinds of bad words and starated to escalate an argument. Wouldn’t recommend going there at all. Worst ER around 100%.Petra Flores⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat firstname.lastname@example.org Claymore1972⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNice, respectful and friendly staffMaribel EscobedoThe wait at this hospital is this hospital terrible. The attending staff does not know how to do thier job. After waiting for 1.5 hours following a car accident my sons were called to do Xrays and an ultrasound only to ding out that they forgot to put on the orders for one of my sons. Then after they made that mistake they still took an additional 2 plus hours to give us the results and release us. Seriously stay away from this facility they need to restructure and put better systems in place to provide adequate service to their clients. You are better off making the drive to Fresno you be there and back before you ebem get seen here.Tanya TopeteHusband only has 3% gall bladder usage. Michael C Morell, MD brand new surgeon at Adventist Health. He was so ready to remove but exact comment was I did not remove it because the doctors can not come to agreement in treatment. Discharged my husband. His concern is his co workers not his patients. So he didn’t want to step on another doctor’s toes. Only to have our primary tell us to get back to e.r.. under 30% usage requires surgery. Adventist own staff R.N., C.N.A , P.A., and M.A., recommended we get out of there. Take husband to St.Agnes. when employees recommend you don’t stay. It speaks volumes. The biggest comment by employees we work here for our paycheck but would not get treated by the doctors. Listen!!!Randall Leach Jr⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOutstanding ER staff that do not judge people in unfortunate situations. All people are treated with dignity and respect. Excellent all around care!Adriana GomezI’m gonna say that my one star is a negative star, just straight horrible service. No compassion for no body, not infants, not toddlers, not seniors, nobody. They do not care. Waited 6 hours for my 11 week infant to be seen, never called me to give me results on blood work, which they poked in him 3 times because they couldn’t find his veins. I walked out, my baby had been vomiting all day and had diarreah, they just didn’t care if he was dehydrating. Horrible is all I can say. I can’t understand how these people work in this line of work, doctors and nurses who are meant to help you and understand you, treat you like you’re nothing but scum.Teri Magnia⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGo above and beyond to help you out.Azucena BoutiqeI went to the emergency department yesterday and today because my daughter that it’s only 3 years old had fever and the doctor named Sai Vang she treat me really bad because it was normal to her and I am a mom I worry about my child and I think her job it’s the take care of every people specially children’s.Sandy Garcia3/18/18 So irritated with the ER for dropping my 85 yr. old mother on the toilet. She’s in a wheelchair for a reason… she can’t stand without help. Two male nurses stood back while she fell and hit the seat. She weighs maybe 95 pounds at best. Terrifying to say the least. That was after her waiting for over 7 hours to be seen. 🙁Diana BuenoI’ve been waiting a few months to post a review. My grandmother was admitted to this hospital in November, due to a stroke. The stroke left her with limited motor skills and limited speech. Anyway, I cannot speak for my grandmothers experience, but I can speak from my own experience. There were a lot of things the staff lacked aside from bedside manner, COMMUNICATION was completely lacking. Communication from one shift to the next was inconsistent, and communication from the nurses to the patient and family lacked. My mother and I spent every day and night with her, and quickly found that nurses were not updating the next shift in regards to the patients needs, etc. This can be vital, especially for patients who have restrictive diets. My grandmother was restricted to a honey thick diet, meaning the liquids must be a certain consistency to avoid choking. A nurse walks in to give my grandmother medicine and hands over water. Before my grandmother could drink it I immediately take it away and say “ her diet is honey thick.” The nurse replies, “ oh it is.” HOW COULD YOU MISS THAT, this overlooked detail could have resulted in another stroke. Communication is just one of many Inconsistency of this hospital, but I feel it’s a vital piece to ensure quaility care, patience care, and to avoid any medical errors that could result in additional injury or possibly death to a patient.Autumn BaileyBe prepared to spend a minimum of three to five hours here if you need treatment of any kind. There is never a quick visit the many times ive come here. From just checking in can take an hour, then to be seen another hour and generally a half hour min to get your discharge papers on top of how ever long the “treat” you for.Ifeanyichukwu Ezeliorah⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️So, I’m yet to go to a hospital as organised and warmly receptive as Adventist Health. They have great and very polite staff(my best were Nurse Rosie and Dr Basel), very good ambience, sparkling clean environment, nicely marked out parking area with good spots for wheelchair access, top-notch equipment too. I’m completely amazed at how efficient they are. Kudos to the staff and management, please keep it up and improve on what you have as the need arises.Stephanie KershawAdventist Hospital is by far the WORST hospital surgical dept. I’ve ever been to. Nurses are insanely rude, it’s so clear that most of them don’t care. & they also discharge you with a 9/10 pain rating. DO NOT EVER GO HEREDebbie Lopez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI been to this hospital twice for total knee replacement , I have to say the hospital staff was amazing and helpful, my nurses were very compassionate and caring. I strongly recommend this hospital to anyone, and I also recommend doctor Mai my surgeon for a excellent job on both my knees. Thank u allJazzmin Rose SalinasWorst hospital I’ve ever been to. Took my son in after an accident, he’s 4 months old, they took 2 hours to even do anything to help us. Only 3 younger people there that were nurses and an EMT were kind and understanding while the older nurses and one male doctor were extremely judgmental and way too opinionated. They made the situation way more overwhelming. Will never go there again. Next time we’re going to Valley childrens where the staff is friendly and understanding and non-judgmental.William GregoWent here they ran test and use outsoursed er drs. Billing was a night mare so they charge a seperate charge, besides that went in with chest painand they tested me for drug abuse and sent me home. Went to kaweah and they tried to do the same thing until i argue they said acid reflux. Ended up after triponin test having a stent put in they said could have had a massive heartattack. Go to clovis and save yourself.difference between their drs. And god is god doesnt think he is a doctorSantosh GautamI work for the US Navy, and I was at watch when my wife called me because she was bleeding from nose and was having severe headache. She was so frightened , and anxious as if something wrong would happen to her. Since I was on watch, I could only leave after i get relieved by someone, therefore I dedided to call 911. After She got to the Hospital , they scolded her for calling 911 without having depth analysis of what was going on, assuming she was there for just dental pain. Instead of calming patience and building a healthy bond with a patience this Doctor whose name i do not know, thought he has all power to present him self with unethical manner. Very unsat. I do not know how this guy got to the medical field. Very disappointing. But the good thing was, the incharge of the shift and the Nurse came to the room and they were very generous enough to handle the situation with kind compassion. Thanks for them. Still, assuming the same immoral doctor handling my family’s prognosis I will definitely not come to this hospital ever again. I personally think, that doctor needs some off time/or paychiatric help. I can only hope the management would to intervene in this kind of situation and provides the assistance / mental medical health as needed to their doctors. He represent exactly opposite to the what Hospital was founded upon, Love and Compassion. And also he has I ” I am a doctor and I do not care coz I can get job anywhere” kind of egos and a feeling of superiority that clearly reflects in his facial expression when he talks. God bless him. Thank you.Mason Watson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent in for an emergency, I was visiting from Arizona. the staff was amazing and I could not have asked for a better on call physician. they did everything possible to make me comfortable and get me on my way ! Arizona hospitals could use their attitude!King Cobra⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was checking on a family member by telephone. The staff and especially the nurse in that area couldn’t have been more helpful. They were respectful and friendly, something that is becoming less and less common these days. Thank you for your help!Greg ThomasI normally use the VA hospital as my primary medical but I was involved in an accident and ended up here. This is by far the worst hospital I’ve ever been treated at. To start my ER experience was a nightmare. I was left in a hospital bed for hours convulsing in extreme pain from a broken tibia and fibula bones. I was given morphine but it did not relieve my pain. Morphine does not usually work well for me and it is common that morphine does not work for everyone. I was told that the hospital was out of other pain killers. After the morphine was administered several times and my pain was still a 10 out of 10 I was now being questioned about being an opioid user. I Am Not And Never Have been!! After almost 4 hours of uncontrollable convulsing and pain off the charts a nurse came in with diloded. I had been told the hospital was out. After that my pain was finally under control. Everyone seems angry and has an attitude here. I hope that I never have to be treated her again! It’s sad that you hear a lot of bad things about the VA hospital system but they are five star compared to Adventist health in Hanford. I’ve never been treated like this there. Bottom line go somewhere else.Titon GoldThis place is a freaken joke. Do not take your family and friends here if they r having a heart attack. The stupid no good for nothing heart doctor want do anything for u if u don’t eave the money. Hospital sucks this is the second time they screwed are family. Stupid hospital. Worthless doctors.
