Atlanta Medical Center Reviews

Before you go to Atlanta Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this East Point emergency room think.

redladyb⭐️⭐️All I can say is this place really needs to be renovated. The housekeeping is poor as floors in the ER rooms were very dirty. I moved the recliner in the room and wanted to clean it myself. If my son didn’t really need to be seen and I knew more about Georgia hospitals we wouldn’t have come here. I’m hoping there are some alternatives for care like Chicago.Kyla Lacey⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Not the sexiest place on but the staff was nice, in and out in about 2 hours.Bessie Chaney I am here now..been her for 3 hours ask to talk to the charge nurse don’t nobody know who it is.. I’ll never come here again…it you have to go to the Er in Atlanta go anywhere else but herepaula rosalie morton At your own risk they don’t want you now I’m in cancer unit of another hospitalDena Clemons I just got off the phone with Gina she is answering the phones this Christmas eve night at 8:16pm I asked her one question where there any doctors on duty tonight because it’s Christmas eve. She said who is this. I gave her my name then said I just asked because I don’t feel well and it’s Christmas Eve and I wanted to know if I will get seen. She said in a very rude disrespectful voice. We don’t give medical advice over the phone. What??? I did not ask her for any and I said I am getting off the phone you are being rude. Can she be nice for 2 days of her life. Christmas eve and Christmas day. The emergency room is expensive, she can at least respect the fact that people are sick and it is her job to answer the phone and simple questions and be polite while doing it. She made me feel very uncomfortable and I will not ever call or go to that emergency room again!Dee Todd My brother was taken to the Emergency Room from the Rehad Center behind the hospital. I called from NC as I am my brothers only relative and power of attorney. After waiting 29 min on the phone whoever answered the phone simply said “he’s going to be admitted”. I asked what was going on which I was told that’s all he could tell me. Asked if they have a copy of the POA and I said the nursing home had it. I was disconnected, called back and waited another 30 min with no one answering the phone! What poor customer service! All he had to do was look at his chart and I am the only name to call! So frustrating to live so far from loved one. This staff did. Nothing to provide comfort that my brother is. Being taken care of. My brother is also autistic and I am the one that has to make decisions on his behalf.Michelle I arrived at the ER at 11pm June 21, 2018. After waiting in the lobby for 2 hours (which isn’t that bad) they finally call my name for a urine sample then tell me to wait back in the waiting area, cool. 30-40 minutes pass and they finally call me back to a room. There I sat for 45 minutes to a hour (at this point it’s 2:50 ish going on 3) and not once did a nurse doctor etc come in check on me ask if I was ok, if I needed anything or gave me an update on my results or what the wait was. So at that point I’m ready to leave don’t even care no more and the nurse (don’t know her name) gave me sas and attitude. It wasn’t busy barely anyone there they were on their phone laughing joking talking like people didn’t need help. If I could say 0 stars I would. It’s so unprofessional and unorganized. I will never go back. Even if I’m dying I will not go to that ER ever.Dionna Whitney⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff is nice.Kim Bourne Ribbans HIPAA, OSHA, MEDICAL ATTENTION??? GO ELSEWHERE. My son had a severely infected hand following an accident. We arrived at the ER at 11:30 pm and weren’t seen until almost past 4:00 am. While in the waiting room my son passed out from pain and fell to the floor. Doing so, he spilled the cup of water he was holding. The water remained on the floor for over an hour despite me bringing it to the attention of multiple members of staff. Clearly a fall hazard IN AN EMERGENCY ROOM WAITING ROOM! Eventually I cleaned it up myself with paper towels from the men’s room (the women’s room had no supplies at all). When we were eventually taken to an “examination room” – actually a large office with 6 ft. high office cube walls approximately 5′ x 7′ – there was no privacy while we waited another hour or so to be seen. While we were there we clearly heard the doctor tell the female patient in the next cubicle that she had terminal cancer that had metastasized from her breast to her bone and brain. Right next door to us less than a foot away! So much for HIPAA! The poor woman was given a death sentence in a basically open room. Eventually we were seen by a clearly overworked young Dr. (Who had just had to tell a patient she probably had less than 3 months to live.) he was with us for approximately 30 seconds, and prescribed antibiotics and pain meds. (May I suggest a thing called Triage.) No attempt was made to clean the wound, x-ray for internal damage or to take a culture. I may be biased coming from a country with free healthcare – but this type of ‘service’ would be shocking in a developing country, let alone the richest country in the world. And we will get a bill for this traumatizing and shocking experience. What an abomination! So… if you like your medical treatment with no privacy, no regard for OSHA, HIPAA or patient care. Southside is the place for you!!Alysha Keeling I arrived at 2:17pm today – it’s 5:10 pm now and I’m still sitting in the waiting room. 3+ hours is unacceptable for an emergency room.Shay Jamerson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Nice and friendly staff. Very clean.Tracie Kittie Super slow waited 8 hours to be seen in the emergency room
