Before you go to Aventura Hospital & Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Aventura emergency room think.
Ellen Goldberg⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My experience as an in-patient at Aventura Hospital was mostly positive. While the quality of nursing care was uneven, much of the staff was caring and helpful. Special shout-out to the occupational and physical therapists – they were kind and taught me useful post-op skills for home. Nice that the rooms are private (my husband could stay over with me) and the floor where I stayed was quiet – not the usual hospital din. Overall, a positive experience.osiris araujo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAventura Hospital is very clean and organized. Staff very professional, courteous and always smiling. Cafeteria with affordable prices . Compassion and love around all the time. Please don’t change!!!! I always recommend Aventura Hospital to friends, family and the whole world. Thanks for your good job!!!!Delores Matulis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedwe were very impressed with staff, doctors and overall care that John received at Aventura Hospital. I hope you know how much you are all appreciated when a person needs your care. It was fantastic. Thank you so much and our prayers are with you as you continue to care for patients.krystal NievesI have been going to Aventura hospital since I can remember. Over the years it seems the emergency room is getting worse and worse. The nurses are more into what each others does in their personal time. The ER doctors are never there. And they don’t do much when you check in, they go off what you say running the simplest test to get you out ASAP. Sad to say it might be a great cardiac hospital but everything else need a lot of improvementsean cullen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest hospital I have ever been to. ALL my nurses and doctors were amazing. I could have gone somewhere closer but being there previously I knew what to expect. I recommend this hospital to any and all who need help.AM M⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Took my partner on 1/13/2020 to ER with a mouth abscess. In general the care provided was good, I would give it a 4/5. What is really not so good if the rest: check in process totally lack professionalism. While we waited to be checked in, hear a loud voice coming from a small room shouting what sounded like my partner’s name. we stood up and sought confirmation it was mean to us. The lady inside took her eyes off from the screen and roughly confirmed. This is the the second person we see after entering the hospital (after the security guard who despite not being very nice, at least she tried to help). This person, not sure if a nurse or just an admin is anything but patient friendly, more the type of prison guard. Not a smile, not a educated greeting, not a sign of empathy with aching patient, just blunt process driven: take pressure, temperature, and data and out she sends you. Seriously, you can do better for sure. Then after a short wait (great by the way) a Doctor comes out, kind of not really well groomed, looked like he had just woken up from a nap (probably on long hour shifts), and takes us to the inside booth of the ER. A few questions about the abscess, tells us what they plan to do and then spins off. The best thing was the resident Doctor, really a great difference, exactly what you would expect from a medical professional: attentive, careful, patient, clear and really engaged. Hope he stays that way, he will make a great doctor when finished. The rest of the process was rather long, we stayed for about 4 hours, got blood work, CT scan and some urgent antibiotic therapy. This part, albeit long, was acceptable from a medical perspective. One big comment to Hospital administrators: you need to improve dramatically on the privacy aspect of the patient care. Starting from the check in process, where the data intake is done is this room with open doors, where the rest of the waiting room can easily listen to everything, all the way to the actual emergency booths, which are only separated by a 5 ft. wall and then you can hear and see every conversation doctor/patient on the next booths, which is not acceptable! Overall the experience is positive but certainly a lot of room for improvement and not necessarily needing lost of investment, except on your people, which could easily be trained.Gena Burt⭐️⭐️⭐️Our family have experienced very disappointing service at this hospital. Most of the nurses don’t listen to the patient and or the family members until you get indignant with them. Then they tag you as difficult. BUT what if it was family member? Would they feel the same? I think not. I found that they’re pretty lazy too. Especially when time for the shift changes. Its awful. I feel so badly for my mother. However, I must add this there are still a few good nurses and staff people maybe they went home every time I’m there. I must let someone else know about the behavior of these caregivers. We have to be comfortable and made to feel its going to be ok when we leave our loved ones in their care. Hope someone who can make a difference will.____⭐️⭐️⭐️Honestly I took entirely too long for me to receive a breathing treatment. The fact you only have one Respiratory therapist on the floor of that massive ER is dangerous game being played. 35-40 minutes from the time I walked in the ER to actually receive a breathing treatment is behavior unbecoming of a 5 star ER. Policies should be changed so that nurses can administer such treatments in the cases of chronic and acute asthmatics and severe asthma attacks. You sent an email for a review so I hope you actually read this. 40 MINUTES FOR A BREATHING TREATMENT IS NOT OK.Robert McNishConvenient location, and the staff are nice and competent, but the operations are just like every other second best hospital. The cafeteria is horrid (do doctors really eat only deep fried food?). The management of movements around the departments is the worst part. If we hadn’t pushed multiple times over a period of four hours, I’m pretty sure we’d be there still.William Davis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat hospital with attentive help. I only came to the hospital to get laboratory tests, but the registration process was easy and straightforward. I have no complaints.Linda Hagadorn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFrom the moment I had to pre-register until I left the hospital after my surgery, I had the most wonderful and caring people taking care of me. Friendly and always helping with a smile. I can’t say enough how great the experience was. I would like to mention Nora who was the last person I talked to and who wheeled me out of the hospital. Very sweet person. I could mentioned every one there, the doctors, the nurses, nurses aids, everyone, was super sweet but unfortunately my memory can’t not remember their names. Thank you all so much for taking care of me so well.Michael Traugutt⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The staff on the ninth floor was amazingly professional especially Dasha ( I don’t have the correct spelling) who made sure that I was comfortable and rechecked all my vital signs. As far as the room it could have been kept a bit cleaner. All in all Aventura hospital is making big improvement.Reneca Davis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey always took care of me when I needed them and they have the best doctors here. I looked to thank. Dr Joy Groszczyk. And Dr. Jeremy White. they are the best of the best doctors and they deserve awards. Amazing doctors love these guys. This hospital is my number one choice.Isiury RodriguezThis message is more directed to the job of the social workers in this hospital specifically to one by the name of Susana . This lady is in the wrong field has no matters does not care for the family and does not help them in any way . She only pushes her agenda. We been trying to ask her to please find a rehabilitation center closest to the patience zip code but she keeps saying the same thing “there is only one facility that has accepted the patience “ when we know for a fact that that’s not true because we called and personally went to one of the facility and asked the why the family member was not approved and overall the “medical records “ reports she was sending are not updated for the condition the patience is really now presenting. When ask about speaking to a supervisor she laughed at us. She is very rude, careless , lazy and has a really bad attitude not the type of person you want to feel is backing you up when going through rough times. The patience is in room 623 please help us deal with this situation. 12/23/2019Senturan Player⭐️⭐️⭐️ER experiences for my family and myself have not been good at this hospital dating back to when I was a teen. It’s seem that somethings and faces change but it’s the same service no matter what’s going on at the time. But that’s Health Care and Customer Service sometimes don’t mix well. Everybody isn’t the same and we all feel different thing’s.William TVery mediocre and disorganized, they check you in quick and then it takes hours for you to see a doctor. They take you for some tests and then after a few hours more somebody comes in with some papers and discharge you. It really isn’t that hard for a doctor to be on top of the emergency area. I was there around 4 hours and the amount of time an actual doctor was in there talking to patients was probably 5 minutes. It’s really disappointing that that’s our support in case of emergency in Aventura. I was supposed to leave with a splint and crutches but I was so tired of being there I’d rather take the pain of moving my hurt leg.Haley DelanoWent to the emergency room for shortness of breath and the ER doctor specifically told me to come back if I developed chest pain. Developed chest pain within the next few days and care back, the nurse practitioner that saw me was rude and dismissed my concerns stating that I had just been there a few days ago and was dismissed so there clearly couldn’t be a problem now. I wasn’t even seen by a doctor the second time I went. Probably won’t go back to Aventura for any issues. I would rather drive to Mount Sinai for better and kinder treatment.karen husted⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone was friendly and professional. The lady at the front desk even walked me outside to provide directions, ABOVE AND BEYOND. This was my second visit to Mammography and I would not go anywhere else, Thank you!Roger Aaron⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe Doctor’s and Nurse’s were so Nice. My Surgery went very well. Afterwards I was given a prescription for Pain Medication which I never needed. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Everyone at Aventura Hospital. I would not hesitate to use Them again and I would refer My Friends and Family without hesitation.US NINJA LEAGUE GYM⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStreamlined registration using your driver license scan. Compassionate and courteous staff and doctors. The best hospital experience I’ve ever had and I went in through the ER and was out within 2 hours. Great place, very cleanEula Johnson⭐️⭐️I came to the hospital with shortness of breath and chest pain. They did CT, X-ray and then told me that I was been admitted. I was told that I was being admitted but I was being admitted as an outpatient. I didn’t know this until I read the discharged papers and I went home feeling the same way as I came into the hospital with shortness of breath and chest pain and while I was in the hospital I had three seizure. Aventura you have to do better. You need to care about your patients more then the money. My care was unacceptable and I am VERY disappointed in your service.Alan Sommers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The ER is very quick and efficient and taking care of you. The problem is getting admitted to a room takes a minimum of 3 hours and up to 12. Once in a room the care is excellent.Angela Alessi⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Today I walked in the hall of this hospital to visit a friend, nobody stopped me, asked me something. I could be everyone even a dangerous person but there’s no security in there. Anyway the rooms are nice and well accessorized for every necessity of the patient.Marcelo Marinelli⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIt was a day surgery. As traumatic as the situation can be for a personal point of view, the Hospital crew’s work was absolutely professional, ‘by the book’. Excellent. Thank you all!Ilya S⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedArriving before 6am is worthless except some “security guys” there is no one to speak with. (1star) Anyhow the medical crew, especially at the day surgery is awesome and professional, please deliver them my appreciation of their solid work. The humor and support of the first volunteering lady that welcomed me during my c/i at the department gives tons of courage. There is no doubt that the crew I faced today at the department of day surgery: volunteers, nurses, anesthesiologists, doctors, recovery crew, are professionals that proud and happy do their jobs. Thank you guys you are really professional and firm. (Millions of stars, hugs and more)William Brown⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was in the hospital for 5 days. Everyone was fantastic. The nurses on my floor were amazing.Amparo Villadiego⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLove the hospital love the customer service wonderful staff and also love check you right away ,for me is one of the top hospitals I’ve been seeing for right now ⚕️ ⚕️ Ladora Redmon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI love coming in to Aventura Hospital for all my medical needs. All the doctors and nurses are so kind and patient. I am always given the best care and treatment every time i visit! All the staff members at Aventura are the best!Marsha Feldman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was able to get an appointment quick and my appointment went quick too. They did everything I expected and their customer service is really good.Mary Lou Toomey⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI fractured my ankle and the emergency room took me right away. Great care Clean rooms would go again if necessary. Mary Lou ToomeyLiz Hernandez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came here with a laceration to the face that needed 7 stitches after being hit in the face with a rifle from a robbery. The doctor did an excellent job and my wounds are healing wonderfully. I just wish they were a bit faster. I don’t recall exactly how long I waited until the doctor came to stitch me up, but it was at least 2 to 3 hours.Katia WesbyMy family has been to a number of hospitals in our lifetime. This by far was the worst experience we’ve ever had. My sister struggles with severe mental health issues and going to this hospital made things massively worse. She wasn’t allowed out of the hospital simply because there were no doctors to discharge her. No one knew what to do with her so she wasn’t given any sort of treatment in the 50 hours that she was there. She wasn’t even allowed to take her prescribed medicine. The staff was incredibly rude to her and to my family. And once she was finally out, she had an episode even worse than the one that sent her into the hospital in the first place. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.Emma Nordelus⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFirst time coming here for my mammogram and I must say that I enjoyed my visit immensely. I will never go anywhere else!!Violet PWhile the in patient behavioral health program is not bad and was helpful, discharge and after care was highly dangerous and lacking. An appointment was never set to ensure that new medication prescriptions could be refilled, despite explaining that I needed continuous care, the hospital did not provide appropriate referrals (in my insurance network) and none that were outpatient. In addition, the hospital provided no bridge or transition care and left me completely on my own without care. A therapist they employ was extremely hostile, attacking and insensitive and denied me care. If I wasn’t high functioning, this sort of situation could have proved fatal. It caused severe psychological and physical distress. The IOP behavioral program should be shut down by the department of health. The only sound thing this hospital can offer with respect to behavioral health is in patient emergency care.Steve Watts⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was treated nicely and bandaged up, consulted with and sent home to heal. I’m happy .Gini Adams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedTHE MEDICAL CARE AND ATTENTION I RECENTLY RECEIVED WAS WONDERFUL. THEY SAVED MY LIFE! F E!THERESA MURPHY⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to the Laboratory to do Pre-OP work. Felipe was the young man who took care of me. When he did my blood I was a nervous wreck. I hate needles. With him I didn’t feel anything. Great job. Thank you. Also Thank you Rafael for such great workers. God bless all of you.Artsy JournalMy mother was released by the doctor at 11:30 AM and it’s now 2:50 PM and we are still here in the hospital. The nurse just told us in 15 minutes will come back and bring you the paperwork. Three times we asked them three times they said in 15 minutes. My mother has not eaten since eight this morning and they won’t let us go. We feel like hostages in this hospital.Keri Haines⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFirst time at the breast center and couldn’t have asked for a better service. From the moment i arrived at reception, having my mammogram and ultra sound the staff were all lovely and welcoming.nalini arana⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone at Aventura Hospital was totally awsome. The nurses and doctors were so warm and kind, they took such good care of my husband.Lilian Salvador Roca Hardy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have been going to Aventura Hospital for Years, the service has been excellent. My thanks to everyone who took care of me.Kenichiro MaehamaNOT EVEN ONE STAR !!!! Get in the ER at 9:30 ( chest pain) the doctor came one time after the EKG and one more time at 11:30 to tell me that I have to stay overnight, she said I had low in electrolytes and magnesium and potassium. During those two hours nobody came to offer me water or any fluid, I asked some nurse passing by for that, one of them look at me and didn’t stop at all to ask what I need. Then the nurse in charge of the ER talked to me like incriminating that I have to ask for water or anything!!!! They transfer upstairs and the doctor never showed on that day, I supposed to have a blood test every 6 hours and the second test was at 8:00 PM ( the nurses on the floor were very good) The third blood test was around 3 AM The doctor came the next day around 10:00 AM. Is that the policy of that Hospital ?? Very bad Experience!!Tecianna CooperI wish I could give them 0 stars, my sister was in a car accident and sent to Aventura Hospital. They ran numerous test on her and all came back negative, they discharged her 2 days later and she left there in lots pain. A few days later she had to go to the ER at Memorial Regional where she was diagnosed with a laceration in her spleen. It resulted from the impact of the accident, Aventura Hospital totally missed this. Thank God for Memorial Regional and the doctors there, they found the issues and saved my sister.Boris Kuperman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast, very good, with respect! Thank YOU very much! BorisSandy Marks⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWait time in emergency room was virtually nothing. I had yto go back for a follow up and the nurse practitiner I saw was fabulous. Went above and beyond, even to give me a phone number to call because I have to go back again, to call to make sure they have what I need. Very happy!!George Hanson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedRegistration staff very friendly and helpful. X-ray staff was great.Susan Gilbert⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSaw me on emergency basis; everyone very professional and obviously very experienced.Cris FernandezCare was mediocre. Left this hospital only to have to return to another one due to unresolved medical issues. Rooms were unsanitary and dangerous. Room mate had multiple issues without getting into detail, including open wounds, and I am trying to recover using strong antibiotics. Food was cold and everything served in styros. If your in that much pain, I recommend driving a little more and going to another hospital.Victoria Mattingley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI must say this hospital never let me down. The doctors actually know what there doing.no matter how busy it is they get everything done so quickly so your comfortable. I will be seeing you guys soon I 100% trust Aventura Hospital over any hospital in Florida.jennifer maurelloHorrible experience, my father had thyroid surgery there at the day surgery the surgery was 4 hrs delayed with him being diabetic no IV was started until we complained, after going into surgery which was suppose to take 2 hrs, 3 hrs passed with no news on how surgery had gone I had to call the recuperating room and asked for his status they did not let us come and see him told us to go the the 9th floor were his room was going to be the nurses told me I needed to wait as the transporter were transferring in the room I still went in were I found my father gasping for air telling the nurse that he couldn’t breath and they were just staring at him he was turned paled and everyone was acting like it was nothing until I started requested that nurses needed to come in the nurse over at their recuperating room Terrell tangled his oxygen and tugged it right across his neck were his incisition was reinstating to me various time fine and that nothing was wrong with him I asked for monitors to see oxygen level and they said these monitors were not available in rooms??? When I finally got a nurse to bring one in his blood pressure was 191 he was about to have a stroke!!!! The attention was horrible the treatment for the patient and family was super dry and unfriendly I could go on and on about every detail but I’d rather not continue to relive the horrible experience.Cecile Mankes⭐️⭐️⭐️Orthopedic 10th floor and it’s entire staff were amazing. Reason for a 3 star and not 5 is due to the negligence of the case /social worker assigned to order my walker AND NEVER DID!!!! I had a total knee replacement the nursing staff , therapist and Dr Shiffman were beyond anything I can say in a positive way.Shirley ReinfeldAn Unfortunate experience for family & loved ones. My experience was ok, but not that great. My mother had heart surgery & her care lacked professionalism. She got home & is recovering well, *thank God!* but while in the hospital we experienced poor care. The nurses are ok, but at times very unprofessional. The level of noise in the heart recovery icu is at times deafening. My mother’s nurse, Jose was especially obnoxiously loud. I have never witnessed such unprofessionalism. He yelled throughout the unit all day. He was not alone, his head nurse, Kristen laughed loudly along with him. I stayed with my mother overnight, & the same thing occurred. The overnight nurses sounded like they were having a party from start to finish. (Even through the glass doors, the sound was unbearably loud). This is not a way for sickly people to recover well. My overall experience was not good, & for that I would not recommend Aventura hospital to anyone I cared about. I hope they can get their act together, because there are good people there that want to take care of patients.William Marks⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedPrompt check in. Helpful, polite staff. Short wait for diagnostic procedure. Very pleased with the service.mariana mora⭐️⭐️I went to the Aventura Hospital today instead of Mount Sinai because last time I was there, doctors and nurses where really nice and helpful to me. However, this time my experience was totally different. I had a bad acute allergy reaction, and I was really scared because I didn’t know the reason. When I got to the ER, there was not a doctor on call, so I didn’t get treated by a Doctor. Then, the PA and RN that treated me, were not helpful and did not care about my reaction. The ER looked pretty empty, but no one took the time to explain me what should I do (should I go to an allergist, should I get any blood test done) or even give me instructions on how to take my medication. They just told me to sign my release papers and asked me if I wanted a work absence. I couldn’t believe the treatment received because I was really scared since even my vision was blurry from my eyes inflammation. They let me go without any improvements. It has been 10 hrs since I came to the ER and my face still swelling and red.Julio Cano⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExtremely Happy and overwhelmed with the attention given to me. I was recently diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes in UPR Hospital in carolina Puerto rico. The treatment there was so horrible that I had to make a drastic decision to check out of the hospital against doctors advised. I booked a flight to Fl, As soon as I got here to miami my sugar dropped to 57. My fam took me to Aventura hospital where I was admitted in less than 20minutes. the staff there took really good care of me. I felt safe, secured that the results will be a lot better but unfortunately I was told I have unstable sugar rises and drops. So now the beginning of a fight to maintain my sugar. Is been a crazy roller coaster since then. I’m fricking out! But extremely happy I’m in USA soil.Josee Peloquin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was taken care of in less than 10 minutes. At the end of the day everything was fine . The quality of the healthcare is very high and the doctor was very professional and attentive.Ryan nadeau⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe PT staff are very helpful and informative! Never a bad experience.judy berger⭐️⭐️⭐️It took most of the entire morning to have a mammogram and bone density test. Computers were to blame. The staff are nice, but the wait was too long. While waiting with other women, we found out that we were not taken in the order of our appointment times.Kent Bonde⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAlways great staff – super friendly, efficient and helpful.Andre L⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff was helpful when I visited the hospital emergency room.Lisa Sicilian⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe Aventura Breast Diagnostic Center is wonderful. The staff are kind, professional and efficient.Kenny AckermanMy father in law was taken to the emergency room with breathing issues. From there he was sent to ICU. He never had any serious prior health issues, and all the tests they did were normal. Nine days sfter checking into Aventura Hospital he passed away. No one had any clue why. Cause of death was listed as Unown. How can they not know anything? The hospital then wanted $5k to do an autopsy. I thought they were required by law to know why someone dies?Pepe First⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat service, attention and kindness by all the personnel in this great hospital!Helen Vella – Vella CoachingWas sent home with pain meds and anti biotics for an infection I did not have. Later was admitted to another hospital for emergency surgery. Worst ER ever.Bojana Bhardwaj⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat staff, friendly and respectful! Pleasant experience Rosa Miranda⭐️⭐️⭐
