Drew Nihill⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWas admitted Nov 2019 with pneumonia on travel insurance. The staff that took care of me on the second floor for 3 days were amazing. No one likes being in the hospital, but they took really good care of me. The place is spotless too!Amanda Weber⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAfter being talked down to today by the UC Health ER I was pleasantly surprised at how warm and welcoming they were to myself and my 3 kids. For the first time ever we all had to get seen and them being 5 and under its not easy, but they made it painless. Thank you Banner ER for being the hospital we needed on this stressful New Years Eve.Paula Mann⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy husband had surgery here today and I have been anxious about it for some time but upon meeting the staff as he was being admitted I was calmed a lot. Surgical staff each came in to introduce themselves before the surgeon came in. They have a screen (several I think) with basic info on where each patient’s status is during surgery (pre op, in OR, in recovery, or moved from recovery). ID is by number. There’s also a phone in the waiting room and several extensions to call if you have questions or concerns throughout the process…and someone DOES answer. The post op nursing staff was excellent as well, and I appreciated their professionalism and humor and comfortable attitude. I really needed that. I’m delighted this hospital is in our insurance network and, better yet, close to home!Karol Gausvik⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDr. Shareef, nurse Cierra, Ameii, Alexis, and Jess were all on my medical team. I was discharged today after being in the hospital for a week. As emotional and discouraged at times they stood by my side and made me feel heard and they actually cared about my health. Thank you so much. I almost forgot to mention the most important person. Dr. Kalani. He did a few of my procedures while here and he was by far the BEST.Hanna Stull⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy Dad was brought to the ER by ambulance on Friday October 4, 2019 and I cannot thank all the staff for the outstanding care the provided to my Dad. I have dealt with many other local hospitals with other family members and I have never felt more at ease knowing my Dad was being taken care of. The staff was very compassionate, caring and provided me with in depth details regarding my Dad’s procedure and after care. I cannot thank Dr. Panah, Nurse Madison and Nurse Cierra enough for their amazing care!Elizabeth Justice⭐️⭐️To be clear, I am reviewing the adminstrative portion of Banner Medical Center and not the healthcare providers. My experiences with the doctors, nurses, and technicians have been great. However, the adminstration side of this facility is insanely inept. When scheduling a mammogram the scheduler specifically asked me questions that would affect the day of the week on which the procedure could be performed. I gave the scheduler that information and the scheduler still made my appointment for a day that was not correct. This resulted my taking a half day off work, showing up, waiting, registering, waiting some more, only to be told by the technician right before the procedure that we would not be able to proceed. We rescheduled for over a week later so that I could take another half day off work. I recently had a billing question about the same procedure. I have called the billing number twice on two different days and both times have sat on hold for ten minutes only to be transferred to a voicemail box. This is fine, I don’t mind leaving a message and getting a return call. However, both times the recording then informed me that the mailbox could not accept any more messages and then hung up on me. I will certainly be looking elsewhere for service providers now, which is unfortunate because I did like my doctor.Stephanie B⭐️⭐️Initial emergency room doctor rude and condescending — Dr. Roylance. Asked questions that he would not let me fully answer as I struggled to speak due to airway constriction — not that he was listening. Told me I should have stayed home until antibiotics kicked in, in so many words. Then at the last moment just happened to see what every other person from friends to co-workers could see — that I had a major infection (not just a normal amount of severe pain as he assumed) bulging out near my airway due to a dental procedure gone wrong and that it actually looked like it *could be* dangerous. THEN he decided to admit me — though did nothing but give me extra pain medication and antibiotics after realizing the situation. And therefore I take issue with the hospital later billing me for a level 5 visit (the highest possible, usually reserved for gun-shot wounds, bleed-outs, heart attacks, etc.) If my life was in immediate danger, I should have received *emergency care* which I did not (but would have welcomed.) I did at one point receive a CAT scan to see where exactly the infection was, which was helpful for the dentist who eventually did all the real work of fixing me. After Roylance, a random doctor came in and introduced himself to me right before I left the ER for an overnight room. Never saw him again. Got a nice hefty bill for the pleasure. Make sure you get the names of every doctor who so much looks in your direction. Do some of them work on commission? Long story short, two doctors actually had anything to do with me but I was billed for three. Anyway…. Next day, they want me to stay another day for more antibiotics and pain medication. I say no. If that’s all they can do for me, and if I’m not dying, then I can continue that at home. Later in the day I am referred back to my dentist (second time I went back to their office seeking help) and a colleague there was finally able to fix the situation by cutting into the wound to relieve pressure on my airway. She did a great job — it was just a ridiculous amount of messing around to finally get the procedure that I should have received in the first place. Difference being that the dentists received several hundred dollars for the time it took to figure it out while the hospital hopes to receive a combination of twelve thousand from me and my insurance company. Other people have it worse than me — I’m probably one of the lucky ones in terms of my experience, and I believe that all emergency rooms are over-priced chaotic messes — but we all should demand better care and treatment for the exorbitant prices being charged. It’s unacceptable and outrageous that that is what I got for the price of a nice used car. I’m willing to pay a fraction of that for what I *did* receive.j wIf you have a need for urgent/emergency care…. go else where. ER staff would rather sit around and talk or play in computers and provides minimal care. Nurse doesn’t know how to clean a wound. ER doc had to pull grass out of cut after saying ‘nurse did a good job cleaning this’ and then didn’t even suture or steristrip the cut or offer a walking boot/shoe. Next day we had to take daughter down to children’s in Broomfield to repeat the entire event but with much better care and outcome. ER doc there said it should have been stitched up by first doc. Thanks for the X-rays Banner but you completely failed to provide proper care for my daughter. We’ve heard many bad stories about this ER but figured a foot laceration wouldn’t be pretty simple…. not!Trista MernaThis hospital is incompetent, I have spent 2 days and 3 nights here. I have had problems with respiratory therapy. I tried to deal with them, I had to go to the management. They decided to write down the therapy plan so it was in place, IDK why because it still wasn’t followed. I’m more uncomfortable here than I was at home doing med according to DRs orders. I will never go back UNC pouder valley is far better save yourself hear ache and just go there.Thomas S⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff at this hospital actually genuinely love their jobs and care about their patients.Kayla Glover⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI can not say enough amazing things about my time spent with the OB clinic and giving birth at the hospital. The OB’s are amazing! They truly care about you and your child. I never felt pushed aside or rushed. They get to know you and care for you. I am so sad to not be needing their services anymore since having my little one. I also can not say enough amazing things of the labor and delivery staff at Banner. Sommer, Stephanie, Jordan, Jen…. all of the ladies are amazing! I felt so at home with them. I could feel that they genuinely loved and cared for their jobs. We will most definitely be back to deliver our next child with all of them if possible!Scottorosano⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSaved my love and my mom’s with love and knowledge! Won’t ever go any where else ! Thanks Banner and to the cafeteria Wow ! Great food !Amanda FarrerI took my husband to the er. He got metal in his eye and it was Friday night. We called an urgent care and we were directed to go to the er. The receptionist took our names and read off all of our information. We go into be treated. Things were fine- the doctor got all the metal out. As we are leaving the receptionist tells us they do not accept our insurance and we will be responsible for the payment. I was not happy. That is something they should post or at least tell you when she sees your information on the screen and does not inform you before you are treated. Now we are stuck with a $1400 bill that the insurance is not covering. We will not be back. We will inform all of our friends that this hospital doesn’t accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield. This hospital and staff is very deceptive.Jeremy Howie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve had two recent experiences at this hospital. It is conveniently located, clean, and surprisingly not overly busy like surrounding hospitals. The nurses are amazing, friendly, and care about their patients. Highly recommend this establishment.L C⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had my an emergent surgery to have my gallbladder removed. The ER nurses were kind and caring, the emergency room doctor was thorough and treated my pain appropriately, the OR crew was compassionate and very patient. My surgeon did an excellent job and I felt well cared for. I would absolutely go back to this facility for myself and/or my family/kids. As a responsible consumer of healthcare, I made sure my insurance was accepted here; no differently than I check to see if my PCP is in network or if generic RX’s are covered with my insurance. For those that don’t/didn’t, please don’t blame the hospital for your lack of knowledge in regards to your insurance or how EMTALA works.Katie EckertBeware. Estimate for a medical procedure was 183% off …… and billing was no help! I recognize that estimates are just that- an estimate. But 183% off seems like a pretty substantial mistake.Jeffwow you cant just post signs up or warn somebody that you don’t have an agreement with blue cross blue shield before you allow me to get bent over and take it!? makes no sense oh but you have a contract in July too bad i am 2 months early geez. Dont go to this medical center if you have blue cross blue shield.Joey JoJoDeliberately deceitful insurance practices. If you have BCBS avoid avoid avoid avoid. This hospital is like a ghost town, and it’s because they don’t take your insurance. They try to hide behind EMTALA — a law designed to protect patients right to access care — and instead pretend EMTALA means that legally they CAN’T tell you they don’t take your insurance. It wasn’t an emergency, you saw my BCBS insurance card, refused to take it, and waited until it was too late to break the bad news with animated glee. The other reviews posted here show a clear and deliberate pattern of deception. Shame on you. This hospital is a shining example of everything that is wrong with healthcare in America.Naughty Fox⭐️⭐️Injured myself at work near by, staff and emts were great very helpful. However NOT COVERED BY BLUE CROSS BE AWARE! after Er visit was asked to set an appointment for a specialist. Gave me the wrong specialists name and number, after arriving at the correct specialist the hospital filed my info under the wrong name (not even close lets say it is dave and they put Ricardo). Again staff was great but the hilarious failings in communication if not caught could have led to more injury.Jennifer DayThe doctor was a condescending jerk to the point my husband (the patient) was made to feel so uncomfortable that we left AMA with chest pains before receiving any kind of relief. Wouldnt recommend this hospital to my worst enemyKaty Young⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat service. Nice staff that is very helpful with billing.Michael Abbott⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe service was the best I have ever seen! No waiting, plenty of staff even on a weekend, very kind and attentive, my wife had emergency shoulder and upper arm surgery , the doctor’s worked hard to explain everything thoroughly and acted quickly. Spent the night and never saw such a new, modern and beautiful facility.McKenzie JohnsonBack in November I went to a Health Care Clinc in Ft. Collins. My Doctor Lisa Myers was concerned enough she told me to go straight to the Banner ER off Harmony. She said she would call ahead so they knew I was coming. When I arrived at Banner ER I asked the receptionist if they took our insurance? We have Blue Cross Blue Shield. Her response was Yes I think we do?!? (That should have sent red flags up). She then scanned all my information and I immediately got back to see the doctor because my doctor Lisa Myers had called ahead. They did an MRI told me I had a bulging disc and gave me some heavy medication, then sent me on my way. It was only as we were leaving we were informed that they DON’T accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. If I would’ve found this out at the beginning of my visit, I just would’ve gone to another hospital 5 minutes away! I drove there, I can dive somewhere else! I assumed that the Health Care Clinic I went to, who took and accepted my insurance would sent me to a hospital ER that would also do the same. BOY WAS I WRONG! (You should never assume things like this apparently.) We have been fighting this for MONTHS now. All the people at Banner have totally been giving us the run around. “Oh you need to talk to this person…. oh you need to talk to that person.” And so on and so forth. This has been a NIGHTMARE! We were just informed today there’s nothing more they can do and we have to pay over $3,000 dollars!!!! All because they LIED to us! Please, PLEASE DO NOT go to this ER!Brianna Calderon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in tonight for a pre term delivery scare. My nurse Breanna was absolutly amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and calm about being there. She explained everything to me. And now I feel great about delivering my baby there.hyper tat⭐️⭐️7/5/2018 I drank a bit to much on the 4th. I went into Banner Health on the following mourning unable to hold down water. The staff where really nice and accommodating however. My treatment is a different story, my procedures included checking my weight, blood pressure and oxygen levels. They then gave me a pill to calm my nausea. Two glasses of apple juice, one glass of water and one ginger ale. On the way out the door they informed me that they did not accept my insurance and gave me a $2560 bill. Best I can see there is nothing with my procedures that supports a bill that high. I will not be going back to this place and will be telling everybody I can to STAY AWAY.Emily Singh⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy husband had a collapsed lung and ended up at Banner Fort Collins. We could not be happier with our experience there. The ER took us in immediately, and a team of nurses took over. Each nurse was professional and kind to a degree that I have not experienced elsewhere. The ER doctor was right in. He had an x-ray machine brought in, looked at the image, and had my husband prepped for his chest tube in minutes. I also have to mention that the doctor was excellent. My husband did not have one complication from the procedure. The doc did his job amazingly well. After taking care of my husband’s immediate need, they turned their attention to me. They offered me ice water and patted me on the back. They asked if I was okay. I wasn’t even the patient, but they took time to care about my well-being. After the procedure was finished, the staff arranged for my husband to be transported via ambulance to McKee which is contracted with our insurance. They called ahead and arranged a room and forwarded all records just to protect our bottom line. We are so thankful to have had Banner Fort Collins there when we needed them.Stacia SekerakThey charged $425 for a vit D blood test. That is four times the amount of anywhere else in Ft. Collins. When I called to talk with them, they said, “well, that is what we charged your insurance. You don’t have to pay all of that.” Really, and we wonder why insurance is so high. Had they been upfront with the cost at the procedure, I would never have had this blood work done at Banner.Stormy Faran⭐️⭐️I would avoid this hospital at all costs. My experience is from the Maternity Ward, as well as an ER visit. Skip below to view the ER visit. I came in for a delivery of my second child because the hospital where we were registered was too far away. The maternity ward consists of 5 rooms, whereas Mckee Medical Center, a Banner Hospital, has 17. I was moved from maternity to general population and then back to maternity. I wish they would have left me in general population because in the maternity ward, a loud beeping noise went off every hour, and the bed was a labor and delivery bed that would not lay flat. The food is actually really good and the cafeteria staff is very kind. I had nurses coming into my room without knocking, catching me on the toilet, and undressing, which was very surprising, because I wasn’t expecting visitors when my husband and toddler were either sleeping or home. Now for my ER visit. I was discharged from maternity and given a packet of things to look out for that needed immediate attention if I were experiencing them. 7 hours after I was discharged, I had the symptoms of a blood clot in my leg. So we came to the ER. I could walk fine, I was alarmed due to the discharge packet I was given by the maternity nurses. What scares me most about this hospital is that the Dr. suggested that the pins in my foot from a surgery 13 years ago, could have moved, and wanted to do an XRAY, as well as an ultrasound. I refused the XRAY because I am pretty sure that if the pins in my foot had moved, I wouldn’t be able to walk. I waited an hour in the ER to have an ultrasound. The woman who did the ultra sound was very personable, I enjoyed my time with her. I was discharged from the ER with no resolution to my symptoms, no blood clot at least. Later , finding out, that the symptoms are a result of nerve damage to my spine through another avenue.Wesley Thompson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat service from friendly doctors. OB/GYN dept is top-notch.Marcia EricksonThis hospital operates immorally. They do not ask for your insurance card when checking you in, and I did not question that as I always go to banner and they have always take my Blue cross federal insurance and should ( ithought) have me in the system! Everyone from the receptionist checking us in, to the nurse , to the doctor, was all a weird experience. We waited over an hour for a strep culture. We were the ONLY people in the ER that morning. You have to be buzzed out, and while checking out THEN they ask for insurance and inform me that they do not take blue cross blue shield. Which is why they did not ask me originally. Worst hospital experience ever. BEWAREbarbara mcmillen⭐️⭐️I went to banner Hospital in Ft Collins, CO for hip replacement surgery. I have never been to such an awful place; * Registration was like dealing with a used salesman. Woman repeatedly mentioned my portion of the bill. I thought I would be billed. * No housekeeping in sight. Only time I saw my room being mopped is when I had an “accident” on the floor and the nurse threw towels on the floor and wiped up my urine. * Had a portable toilet which I couldn’t use unless I got a staff member to the bedside (I’m 66 yo), yet somehow a plastic urine measuring “hat” was still in the bathroom toilet with the prior patient urine in it. * Never offered a clean gown, bed never got changed and was never offered a wash basin. Finally asked for a clean gown and a hot washcloth. I gave up on clean compression socks. * I was told that the beds aren’t mattress beds but air beds. VERY uncomfortable!! * Didn’t find out about being discharged until the nurse popped in and asked if I needed help getting dressed. I asked him why and was told that I would be discharged. As I was trying to get dressed, PT and the nurse were both talking to me about my after care, so I remembered 5% of information. * We waited outside for my cab for a half hour or so. When I got in the cab, driver was upset. Cab company was told by hospital I was leaving at noon. He sat out front and finally went inside the hospital and asked for me. Was told I was going to leave at 3. He took another fare on Northside of town but got a call from the hospital that I was ready to go. He raced back to the hospital and I was outside. Never received call from Banner Hospital but did have a call from family Dr office asking how I was. Dr is with UC Health. This was the worst experience in the hospital I’ve ever had. Please, stick with PVH.Josh StupkaDon’t waste your money here. I went in because I suspected I had the flu. The front desk staff was cold and unfriendly. When I saw the doctor, Jenna Gantner, she discovered I simply had the common cold. Her response was “Sorry dude there’s nothing I can do”. Our whole interaction was about 2-3minutes. When I left the room she ignored my passing while playing on her cell phone. It was a very unprofessional scene. For 3 minutes of doctor interaction with nothing accomplished but taking my pulse rate and blood pressure, I was charged $517. $517 for procedures anyone can do in their home. Ridiculous is an understatement. I will never utilize this facility again and judging by similar reviews, you should consider that also.Michael Bielawski⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDr. Hanck and staff were awesome with my niece.Jackie HicksThis place is a joke! I took my child here for stitches and then never received a bill until the phone call came in from collections. I took my concern to the registration manager Billi Jo and she made the matter worse. This woman does not have a clue about management and messed up our child’s social security with a combination of another daughter of ours. Hours spent trying to resolve this and thought it was taken care of and recently found out I’m still in collections for an ER visit when we have TWO insurance.Vallene Kailburn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have been with banner for a couple years now. I have had a baby with them and they have been wonderful. Their team is great to work with, super responsive and I can always get in the same day for an appointment if my little one is sick. We have also had to use the emergency room a couple of times and there is almost no waiting which is amazing. I highly recommend banner. I also think that people are either going to have a great experience with a medical facility or a poor one. You have to know going into the Banner system that it is a closed loop and to go into any medical practice with patience and respect and you typically get that back 🙂 I love our doctors at Banner Fort Collins Dr. Schutte and Dr. Carleson. I highly recommend them and their team.WwwTiara Karns-ClarkI wish I could give them 0 stars. I went in to the ER because I am pregnant and was bleeding and cramping. First they treated me as if I was lying about being pregnant. Asking me a number of times how I KNEW I was pregnant (8 pee tests, 2 blood tests, confirmed by primary doctor) and condinued to make these comments after getting my paper work faxed from my regular doctors office. They did a tranvaginal ultrasound which clearly said I was 5 weels 6 days pregnant. The ultrasound tech said this also. Apparently the radiologist said I wasn’t pregnant at all (what?) And the OB on call said I clearly was and that there was blood under the placenta. I wad told I have an infection, to take it easy and to drink lots of fluids and that I am at a high risk of miscarriage. A terrible experience in general amplified by rude, condisending providers who treated me like I was an inconvienince in addition to displaying blatent incompetence. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.Jessica Hatcher⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had been seen at another hospital in the morning and had a terrible experience. I was discharged despite the fact that my fever was still not controlled at 103 degrees, and my pain from a kidney infection wasn’t controlled. I’m SO grateful someone recommended me to go to Banner. Dr. Kong & his nurse & ED tech were beyond amazing. They treated me with dignity & respect & made sure I was stable before discharging me. They went above & beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I was very happy with Dr. Kong’s bedside manor & communication with me about my plan of care. I will definitely be coming to Banner Health for all of my future needs regarding my health. Thank you to the amazing staff, that, despite the pain I was in, still was able to put a smile on my face & comfort me.Ardee Tebeal⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSome doctors are hard to get appointments with, but the staff is AWESOME and there’s imaging/bloodwork staff on-site. Needed an ultrasound and had it available even that day if I could have! Public restroom, SERVICE dog friendly, connected to the E.R. Never had a family doctor before, but Dr. Carlsson and her nurse Kelsey are just so amazing that my whole family sees them! They do occasionally have med students stand in IF YOU’RE OKAY WITH IT. You can say no. They don’t judge you.Jacob RitchieRude nurse, uncaring doc. Really disappointed in how far this hospital has fallen. 2 yrs ago it was amazing. The severely mistreatwdy wife last night.SASHA MASON⭐️⭐️Although our nurse was amazing the front staff lady was not. I was not ok with my children having to sit out in the waiting room and my husband being judged. Honestly, I probably won’t be returning to this emergency room.
