Baptist Memorial Hospital Reviews

Before you go to Baptist Memorial Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Memphis emergency room think.

Juliet Brittain⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in for a broken ankle and was wheeled in immediately. (I showed up at 9AM so there weren’t many people.) The woman who wheeled me in was very kind and attentive and even came to check on me later. The doctor was efficient. The nurses, Nicole and Hanna, were very kind and light hearted. I wish I could have gotten the name of the man that put my foot in the splint because he was exceptional and made me feel so much better about the whole thing. We waited about 4 hours from check in to check out but that’s to be expected at the ER. All in all, I’m very thankful to everyone that helped me through my pain.Morgan Elaine Waited in the waiting room for 4 hours just to get put in a room w no bed sheets for about another hour (w/o being seen) I kept my composure but other patients grew very angry and made outbursts and staff looked at as “entertainment,” regardless of the pain they were in nursing staff didn’t try to help in any way. I eventually left and just went to Methodist Germantown, completely different experience.Sharae Barajas Waited 4.5 hours before deciding to go to another hospital. Even after all that time, I couldn’t even get documentation that I wasted my time because I wasn’t seen by a doctor. I highly recommend going somewhere else.Valencia Norman You do better sitting at home and dying. You wait in a waiting room for hours EVERY time. I hope my insurance partner with someone else and soon. This happens every time i try to be seen. I hope the home meds im going to try help resolve my issue. This is sad. Sat in a waiting room for 3 hours for nothingKathi Martin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis case had no clues as patient lived alone & suffered from a brain stroke. From ER, to step down ICU, we had the best of staff from doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, dietitians, brain & muscle therapists, everyone got into the job of getting the patient on the right path. Our maintenance lady, a black Christian lady, I think Donna was her names, she took time out &prayed with me, when I asked her. Riley & Davita(?) Were top notched & extremely profession at all times. I’m just sorry it took me so long to add to my Maps. All signs were correct and eady to follow.Jessica Chaidez Wait was was to long for a er room Nurses were to busy not paying attention all they keep saying we trying to make a plan. Like should you know by now how to handle patient. The place was a whole mess floor were dirty and restroom needed to be clean. It was just horrible. Never a bad experience like this before.Nikah Israel Don’t let the fancy upgrades fool you…This place has gone to the dogs…!! The staff nursing staff is rude…I was not listened to…my complaints of SEVERE swollen eye pain.. ASTHMATIC symptoms… barely examined….I said swollen painful eye! They didn’t even bother to look at it!! I WAS MADE A NUMBER… STEREOTYPED UPON SIGN IN!! NOT EXAMINED AS A PERSON…A HUMAN!! No IV NO TEST RAN…JUST QUESTIONS AND GUESSING!! NO MORE GOOD HOSPITALS IN MEMPHIS FOLKS…..Jordan Nikkel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe went in for an ongoing condition of my wife’s that had suddenly taken a turn for the worse, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. If you are looking for an ER with people that will listen, this is definitely the right place to go.Anne I went last week with symptoms of sepsis: rapidly progressing redness on arm, nausea, chills and vomiting and with lymphadema which is a prime agent of cellulitis and sepsis. I told the front desk my symptoms and they told me to sit and wait. Infection was moving so rapidly that I was so weak that I could hardly sit but was refused a stretcher. After an hour, my husband asked how much longer and they said I was number 15. We left at that point and went to St. Francis where I told them the same symptoms and was put immediately into an ER room and doctor came to tell me after my blood work was done that I was extremely ill and appeared to be sepsis. I was admitted for 2 days of IV antibiotics.Kyarah Gorman Dr.Mishra was over my mother, Chaunte Bass, while she had been admitted into Baptist East. My mother was a Kidney patient on dialysis along with other health issues. Dr.Mishra misdiagnosed my mother for 4 months straight. My mom suffered a stroke last August causing her to lose her mobility and she later developed gangrene that caused her to need a double amputation. In February, she got what we was a told a bed sore but it turned out to be staff that turned into flesh eating bacteria. So he says. She started complaining of shortness of breath and would be in and out of the hospital with pneumonia. He constantly sent her home with pneumonia on antibiotics. Mind you, this is a kidney patient meaning she has no immune system. It was nothing that we could do at home for her and he always threw her out before she got well. she would be in the hospital for 2 days max on IV antibiotics before he sent her home. her last time coming home was in may. Back to the infection, Dr.mishra told me when i asked about her progress that “she has an infection, we dont know where it steams from or what it is but we have her on antibiotics to fight it” how do you give medication for something if yu dont know what your treating? Anyway, my mom coded in ICU and they said that she had fell under hypothermia. she stayed in ICU for 2 weeks. While in ICU, Dr.mishra came to see us to tell us she was doing fine. Nothing more nothing less. She was sent to a nursing home and after 2 weeks of being in the nursing home went back to the hospital. She was sent to st.francis, her heart stopped and she was back on the vent. They told us that she wasn’t going to make it through the night. My moma coded around 4:30 june 22nd 2018. She was pronounced dead at 4:55. She died from SEPSIS. The doctor at st.francis couldn’t understand how it was missed. Dr.mishra is a HORRIBLE doctor, he will kill you, as well as the nursing staff at Baptist east. My mom was 48 years old.Alayasi 98 They are freaking slowly.. I had waited for 3 hours and they still haven’t call me.. WORST hospitalBrandon Crume Had me sitting in the er waiting room and my throat was swelling shut and my wife and I keep on telling the desk that but they didn’t do nothing but sit on their computer and on their cell phone I had to call my ent doctor she called the er just so they would do something they didn’t even take my bp or anything on me for 2 hrsAlan-Michael White⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat place to go if you don’t want to die. Kind of Jesusy thoughJoaquin Amundarain⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAll excellent
