Before you go to Bardmoor Emergency Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Largo emergency room think.
Madison MI got into a car accident a little more than a month ago and my neck had started hurting right after so my parents took me across to the ER and I got an x-ray. I didn’t think it would cost much of anything and I was only thinking about the pain in my neck at the time and my parents were worried so a little over a week passes I get a bill for $560. I don’t have insurance so I gotta pay the entire thing out of my pocket. Mind you I’m a student making maybe $300-$400 every 2 weeks so this is hurting my bank real bad. A little less than another month passes and I get another bill for around $300. I am so angry. Today I got ANOTHER bill for almost $500 AGAIN. ALMOST $2,000 FOR AN X-RAY. I AM NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN. Not even gonna mention the cost of having the car repaired from the accident. But that’s not really the place to complain but this place sucks. They never even asked how I was supposed to be paying or how much it would be. Honestly had I known I wouldn’t even have gone to the hospital.Dominick Giordano⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI brought my mother to the hospital here she was having chest pain from a recent fall. The staff is amazing they’re so helpful and informative. They took the time to explain everything in detail. Stephanie the P.A., Mateo R.N. and Sean where all great with her. They brought her something to eat and something to drink after she was done. Thank you all so much God Bless.Bryant Duncan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had an amazing experience when I went here. The registrar, Sheri, was very personable and quick. The R/T, Safet, was funny and very friendly. My nurse, Gus, was very professional and made me feel at ease even though I was in pain. Dr. Rasheed made me feel very comfortable and explained the treatment .Colleen was very compassionate and made me feel relaxed. Shawn did an awesome job with my boot and showed me how to adjust it.I was in and out very quickly and I felt like I was the only patient there. I highly recommend this ER!sean wilsonHonestly took my wife here and my mother here. Liked the doctors and the way the place operated. However, i will not be back. I went myself was there for 45 minutes had a cat scan which let’s be real 200. And saw a doctor for 5 minutes ekgs and blood work. Guy came in with computer on movable table and asked even before my results came back how was I paying? I asked how much and then handed my card he took 500 . I also asked what would this leave he said should take care of everything and shouldn’t have a balance. Well. I have a doctors bill for 300 after reducing themselves from 900. ( go figure) already paid 169 for something to do with cat scan have another bill for 69 for something similar and oh yes a 1940. Bill for the ER. Spoke to billing they said the guy wouldnt have said this so I’m a liar now. Yeah do not use this place they deceive you in getting the money and then day oh well. I’ve heard of people walking out after service saying bill me now I know why. Reap what you sow.Robin Summers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHands down, the BEST experience I’ve ever had at an ER! The entire staff was beyond helpful, pleasant and exceptionally attentive. This team functions like a well oiled machine! They were extremely thorough & knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure I was informed of every process & procedure throughout my visit and provided me with all the info to take forward to any subsequent doctors. I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you so much!!Cherrie Greene⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedProfessional and friendly staff! I was seen quickly and explained everything thoroughly. Wes was an amazing Nurse!Kyla MacDonald⭐️⭐️They usually are good about helping out with our emergencies. But have turned away my uncle with disabilities and told us we were over reacting. He wound up being rushed to Clearwater-largo hospital, and was put on a ventilator and heavily sedated for a week and a half just hours after being turned away. Not pleased with them. Not the first time they’ve turned us away at a time of need.Amanda Loeffler⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAlways a good experience when we come. Quick, efficient care, awesome staff. I’ll come back!Bill Mauter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy husband was treated here on May 30 for an accident at home. As soon as we arrived he was brought right back. Our nurse, Suzette, was SO kind. She took such good care of all of us. She was so professional and talked to us and kept us at ease. Alanna Dixon, the PA, that worked on him was wonderful. She was so comforting to my husband as she sutured him up. When we went to one of the doctors for follow up they said she did a wonderful job on the sutures. I wish I knew the name of the registration clerk because she was also very kind.tiffany younceI took my child here last night 10/14/19 because he has been sick since Saturday the doctor on duty checked all his vitals and everything she told me he has a virus and was not contagious and to take Tylenol so he went to school 10/5 I had to leave work early to get him took him to his doctor where they actually swabbed his nose and come to find out he has the flu and is very contagious not sure what that doctor leaned in school but thank god his pediatrician knew what she was doingChristina Murphy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNurses, doctor and PA were all great and very attentive.Lesli HunterI went to your facility after being told by erroneously by a walk in clinic that the burning feeling in my chest was an emergency situation. Once at your facility I was given an EKG and blood tests. All were normal. The PA came in and told me as this is not a hospital I had to go to another hospital for further testing. I was also told if I went by ambulance(critical care) that I would not have to go through the same tests again. Said if my niece drove me I would go through original tests again. I have no medical insurance and stressed it to them. I was taken to another facility and all the same tests were run and again negative results. Turned out it was acid re flux. I have since spoken to a Cardiologist and was informed I never should have been sent anywhere else. There is a scan they could have done at Bardmoor to detect any problems. Now I am in debt to both facilities and the ambulance service for close to $8000.00. The other facility is allowing me to make affordable monthly payments. Baycare will only accept a payment that I cannot do. I told them I could do half of what they want monthly and was told no. If I do not pay in full within 4 months they will send me to collections. Isn’t some monthly payment better than nothing???????? Guess nottiffany moore⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing experience today! My friend was seen for complications from a procedure and she had the best care. The nurses were kind and caring. The doctor (Dr. Charity) was incredible!! Great place!!!Jessica Mai⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEvery visit I’ve ever made to this hospital has been a great experience! I can’t thank the staff enough for being kind and making me feel comfortable in an urgent situation.donna gonsalvesSo sorry I did not read the 3.0 review on google before ever walking into Bardmoor Emergency Center. I had severe throat pain on 8/25/19, when I got there they asked me the level of my pain, I told them its a 9, they took chest Xtray, bloodwork, strep swabs and vitals also left needle in my arm in case they have to give me meds. When I saw Dr Patel I told him when I swallow the pain radiated to my ears and to my temple, all lab work came back OK also Xtray, they discharged me with a level 9 pain and 2 prescriptions for steroids and cough med. So its 8pm on a sunday they told me walgreens on starkey opens 24hrs, when i got there they closed at 6pm, they advised me to go to walgreens indian rocks, by this time my pain is a 10 and i am struggling, pharmacist saw me and quickly fill the prescription, when i got home i was on the floor unable to read the dosing of the meds, my hubby almost called 911, he quickly read the dosing of the steriods and i struggled to take it with a bunch of extra strength tylenol. My private insurance was charged ALMOST $4K i am responsible for hundreds, Its cruel to discharge a patient with pain level of 9 especially on a sunday night not knowing if i can reach a pharmacy. They obviously did not believe me when i told them i had throat pain. Your medication did not help, and Dr Mairaj Uddin is not taking new patients, period. I would not bring my dog to this place, the incompetency is scary. Please do not ask me to contact you, you have my name and information. Unfortunately my doctor is up north and after taking the steriods i had to go to the CVS minute clinic, an excellent nurse practitioner who prescribed cough syrup that helped me. So 5 stars to CVS minute clinic. ONLY BARDMOOR ER KNOWS WHY THEY REFUSE TO GIVE PATIENTS IN PAIN ANY PAIN MEDS. i SUFFERED, i really should let my insurance co know.Heather Duncan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had the unfortunate need for emergency services on July 27. I drove past 2 other ERs to get to this one and I am glad I did. I got in quickly and they gave me great care. Patrick with security noticed I was in distress, placed me in a wheelchair and got me back to the clinical team while Jamie registered me. Once in the room Dominick RN started asking questions while Jody RN tried to get me comfortable. Garritt started my IV with minimal discomfort and Sandi RT got my breathing treatment started. Everything happened so fast but they communicated well and worked efficiently. Danielle did my X-ray. Suzi RN checked on me frequently making sure I did not have needs and my condition was improving. Jen RN took over at 7 pm continuing the great care and eventually discharging me. Dr. Bucciarelli had a wonderful bedside manner (my fiance even commented on it). He took the time to explain exactly what he was thinking, what testing he wanted to do and what he wanted to monitor for. I am extremely grateful to the entire team that took care of me during this scary moment. I will not go anywhere else for care.Erin P⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Everyone was great, professional and compassionate, and made me feel at ease…I would definitely recommend this facility.Aorel Krstec⭐️⭐️⭐️Very pleasant take in area. Remodeling causes no cafe.DARLENE RIVERA⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve had to go for a few follow up appointments due to my condition and the doctors and nurses have been excellent with my care. Unfortunately on my 6/16/19 visit “Nurse Pat” with a nasty attitude refused the doctors request of giving me a few gauzes to take home. She then went to the supply bins and closed the doors like I was going to steal items while I’m in pain on the bed. The doctor apologized for her rude and unprofessional behavior which is definitely unacceptable. I am thankful to all the doctors and nurses on all my visits. Nurse Pat, who made me feel extremely uncomfortable in my time of need, should not be a nurse at all if she doesn’t know basic manners.Karen BeresfordI need to speak with director of Bardmoor ER. I would like to review care given to husband. No one has contacted me about his care there on Nov 29.Mrs Happy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had a great experience with my visit at this location on the 10th of April. My nurse and the staff was amazing to me on that day. I left medpass urgent care because they thought I had a blood clot and recommended that I go to a hospital. I went to Bardmoor and was seen immediately they where already expecting me. I felt so much care from those who took amazing care of me! Thank you all for my experience and helping me to find out what was wrong with me! I would like to thank you all! Galena N⭐️⭐️My 4 y/o daughter broke her leg pretty severely this weekend. The only reason I took her to Bardmoor ER rather than ACH was strictly due to proximity to get her pain meds ASAP as I have never heard screaming from any of my children as I did the morning she fell. I knew right away she broke her leg and she needed help immediately. Upon arriving, the front desk women were amazing. They tried to expedite our wait and get her back to receive the care she needed. The turn for the worst came when the nurse came in. Leanne, RN, which I wish upon no one to ever have to endure was the rudest nurse I’ve ever encountered, and I’m a nurse! We had to ask for pain medicine before a painful X-ray and she treated us as if we were imposing. When she did arrive back with meds, I asked for something more than Motrin and her reply was “it’s our protocol”. As I stated, I am a nurse and have worked with children for many years. To be content with anyone suffering let alone a child is disgusting. The only reason I’m giving my review any stars is because our visit quickly turned around when Kristin became our nurse and we met Steph the PA and Dr. Patel. Their meticulous attention to my daughter’s needs along with thorough updating and education throughout the rest of the visit was exemplary. It was because of them we didn’t pick my daughter up and head to another hospital. Even with the great care my daughter received the second half of the visit, I can’t say I’d come back here if one of my children get hurt again knowing there’s a chance we’d endure the same terrible treatment as we did from Leanne. She is NOT a good representation of Baycare’s expressed values.JuneI totally agree with (D) Deloris Benthin here in the reviews. I’m on Medicare I was seen for all of 10 minutes. I had prior labs done the week before I saw my primary 7/2 also took lab results to ER. My Primary due to my condition sent me to Neurologist 7/3 which set another appt for tests. Through pain and discomfort I felt compelled to go to ER as I’m a Kidney cancer survivor which I’m in renal failure and I’m really sick with burning internally, to the point that blisters are popping up all over only my right hand red blotches all over my body stiffness in my neck & sore throat blood pressure 194/96 . The Dr. gave me a percocet for headache, and something to dissolve under my tongue for nausea & referred me to dermatologist. I noticed on my exit papers this Dr diagnosed me with Psoriasis. Lol Wish it was that simple. Anyway I’m writing this as I wait for my son to get here as he is taking me to Largo Medical ER. Mind you the front desk,Tom the Paramedic and Nurse were extremely nice. But I will take the extra 10 minute drive to Largo if any ER situation was to arise.Sherry Tribby⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAMAZING ER, the staff is so caring and professional. The Dr.’s and Nurses take their time in patient care. Also one of the cleanest ER’s I have been in. Would not go anywhere else.Vince sap⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI want to thank the entire staff for the Care I received in your emergency room the night of November 27th 2018. I was in severe pain and could barely walk. I was greeted immediately when I entered and registration was a breeze. Within minutes I was in a room end being cared for. I was seen by the nurse immediately. Dr Frances evaluating my condition and was genuinely concerned with relieving my pain which she did successfully. The x-ray technician could not have been more patient and kind to me. I was back home in less than 2 hours feeling much better and with a long-term care plan. Thank you all for your compassion and professionalism. Your dedication truly improves quality of lifeSaundra L. Smyrski⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommended1 year old was very ill. Saw the paramedic, nurse, physician, labs were drawn, chest X-ray complete, findings were made, discharge paperwork given and out of there… 1 hour and 10 minutes, start to finish! Super impressed! Referred here in stead of All Children’s Hospital, as I have been less than impressed with their care lately and I must say, Bardmoor was AMAZING!! Do not hesitate to take your loved ones! They see pediatric too!Marie Rowley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAwesome staff everyone was so friendly and helpful.Jordyn Collins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Most everyone I saw was amazing… but the nurse. He argued with me that no one was a hard stick and no one had small veins unless they are dehydrated. I drink a lot of water and have always been a hard stick. I’ve had the ultrasound/x-ray that finds your veins many times and I’m always told “wow you have small veins.” The nurse proceeded to stab me with the needle and scrape it inside my wrist to try and get it in my vein, telling me it didn’t hurt while I was in tears. He then blew my vein and went “I’m just going to flush it.” My wrist swelled up and it looked like half of a golf ball under my skin. It was excruciating to move my wrist for over a day until the swelling went down. The phlebotomist on the other hand was amazing! He believed me and didn’t want to stick me until he found a vein. He couldn’t find one so he got the vein ultrasound machine and it still took a few minutes to find one. He said “you have really small veins and they’re really deep, no wonder you are a hard stick” the nurse then scoffed and walked out of the room. The other people there made it worth it but that nurse was horrible.Melinda Taylor⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLove them❤Dicky’s Garage⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was very impressed with this ER. Admittedly I picked a very bad time to try and cut my fingers off because the place was packed. Despite the chaos, the staff remained calm and pleasant and did an excellent job fixing me up.Maria Quillen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had an excellent experience with my visit. Staff, nurses and doctors were friendly and really made me feel comfortable. Thank you for making me feel at ease and not so nervous.Pamela Mccarthymy huband went here had a bad sciatic nerve charged 300 that was ok he was in between doctors 4 days later he had to go back was still in pain that should be a follow up all they did was re ull his medic tion charged another 300 hundred dollars the second charge should have not been givenLouise Edwards PR⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedQuick. Very complete exam. Excellent process. Beautiful facility with competent, friendly staff.Richard Charron⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDon’t believe any of the negative reviews found here. This was a 5 star facility. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and within 5 minutes I was in a private room. They were efficient, professional, thoro gh, and caring. The facility was clean and the staff was quick. Within an hour I was out with a clear diagnosis and a new favorite emergency facility.Andrew PaulTerrible. 8-9 month pregnant doctor working the overnight shift was in the room for every bit of three minutes then disappear. Same with the nursing staff. Watched through the E.R. room sliding door a nurse looking at boats on the computer for about 45 minutes. The care and patience with my four year old at 2:30 was non-existent. The SOC booklet needs to have another look. Just a shiny example of the United States healthcare system.Claudia KitchellHorrifying experience. My daughter brought our 6-year old grandson in last evening who had been previously diagnosed with the flu. She was referred to Bardmoor by a physician at her local immediate care clinic after bringing him there for concerns that he wasn’t getting better. The physician felt he may now be suffering from dehydration. I’ll make this short, we were in Bardmoor for hours. The attending doctor didn’t think he was dehydrated but did insist on a chest x-ray because he thought he may have pneumonia; turns out he was correct and I’m thankful he caught it. However, they insisted on making this child do a urine sample….when they realized he wasn’t able to do that because he was dehydrated, they decided to take blood. I’m not going to name names, but I was horrified at what they put this little guy through. I’m sure you could hear him screaming outside of the building. I couldn’t stand to watch this anymore and had to leave before I said something that would make matters worse. My daughter later informed me that apparently there was a shift change and some more professional staff came into the picture and they did move things along and did a good job. I normally only post good reviews or I say nothing at all, but I feel that I need to put this out there. I would never go there myself let alone take a child there and my daughter has agreed to never take the kids to that place again.JD Mapes⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing services and workers in the ER. Everyone I interacted with was exceptionally kind and professional. Due to my pain level I know I was a little impatient, but they were still exceptional. This place absolutely does care regardless of insurance. I unfortunately was in a transition and my nee insurance was notin place yet. They still gave me the best care and worked with me financially.day tolbertworst experience ever . i say in the waiting area watching everyone go before me! the clear was disrectful to everybody that asked her anything. and the charge nurse was didnt care about my about my sitation.joseph buchmannHorrible staff ..unknowledgfull of signs and symptoms .Cote Caceres⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was sent here from Bay Care Urgent Care because I was having chest pain, and my BP was very high. I was seen very quickly, everyone was so attentive and worried that I was comfortable and explained everything while I waited and they went over all the tests they were going to do. The tech that took me to get my chest X-ray Korey was so sweet and funny, made me feel comfortable. I will definitely come here again if I ever need to go to the ER.Demetrius CanleyThis place is absolutely the worst. The first timeI went I was givena prescription that did nothing and when I returned this time…nothing…they kept saying, we’ve never seen this before. Thing is I was telling them I’m allergic to something and had a reaction. After my own research and telling them the problem…nothing… No insurance so no help. Its funny how some of us don’t have insurance but yet we’re the same ones that defended this country..B christensenNo one warns you to not leave valuables in the rooms or gives you a place to secure them. My wallet was left in a room while patient was gone to xray. Gone. They don’t close patient rooms when patients are out for diagnostics but offer no options for personal effects. Spoke with security and asked if they could see me carrying it out to confirm I did not leave with it and remove them of liability. I was informed “our cameras are not that good.” I have tried for a week to speak with a hospital administrator with no luck. The staff was nice up until now, we will not be returning and a police report is being filled.Tim Morris⭐️⭐️I was treated like a drug addict.Sara LivingstoneSlow attention to patents. Did not find my problemOffi MedJust one because ER charge for everything. They charged things you didn’t need or used. They use this to increase their income, please confirm before you leave ER.Michelle KuglerYou go back right away then wait several hours for anything to be done. Go to a real hospital.Free DreamerHorrible, Horrible, Horrible….I don’t bother with doctors or hospitals unless I need help. I wasted my time and obviously was wasting their time.David O⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWow…staff was courteous, efficient, and by far the friendliest I’ve ever encountered in any ER in this area next to Morton Plant. Doc was kind and quick to respond to my questions, and I knew he was incredibly busy. I’d recommend to anyone!Shannon McDonaldDo not know if there was a huge change in staff or what but this facility and care has gone down hill dramatically. Went here since I had never had a problem before and was extremely disappointed, I was cut off as well as my family member while trying to explain the extent of what was going on, and sent home only to end up back in the hospital not long after that. No thanks Bardmoor ER almost as bad as Largo Med Center.Sadie SchaferI feel as though this place was uncaring. Quick to judge. All over the place. And insulting. My first doctor. He was great. Very attentive. Then the second doctor didn’t come in until I had asked maybe 7 times for him. 3 hours go by. I didn’t know who it was gonna be. Then to find out it was the guy who was glued to his computer right outside my room. Could it hurt for him to come and just meet me. Check on me. He also when finally speaking to me. Just tells me that they were almost completely sure it wasn’t what I came in thinking it was. So why did I spend the last 7 hours with you people. Then my nurse. Although nice at first. Began to get on my nerves. I asked her maybe 3 times for the doctor. Nothing. Then I call one last time after going through various tests and nobody telling me what was going on. She tells me I’m fine and that the tests were negative and that I was going home. But the problem is. One of my tests was never complete. At the end of it she just threw prescriptions at me that I didn’t even ask for or discuss with her about. I spent almost. A whole day in this place to be told nothing. I’m sure they are gonna love the money they are gonna get from me though. Don’t go here. They do not care. They just want your money.borntobetechBad, bad, experience. I always go to Largo medical in Largo and Clearwater…by far Largo medical offer better service. This place is a money maker, they will stab your insurance and your pockets.Gabrielle Oliver⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing staff. Came in for leg pain due to a torn ligament years ago. I have no insurance and they didn’t just say wrap it and stay off your feet. They gave me X-ray and a leg sonogram. Karen at the front desk is a doll and very helpful with my no insurance issue. Only place I’ll come for now on.Shelby MannThey are very rude. I came in because I was in a car accident and the immediately put me in a neck brace. Well the doctor came in took it off and looked at my neck, he didn’t put it back on thank goodness. But he then wanted to order xrays which I almost fell down during from dizziness. Didn’t even ask if I needed to sit down, just kept going on. Then I get sent to sit in a chair and wait… this is a horrible experience for me, I also came in because I had hives and they didn’t even completely assess them just looked and so on, I’ll give you steroids. I have always had problems coming here, I don’t know why I still come back! After this no more!Brett McClellandAwful.. Do not take your loved ones here. I have spinal/disc injuries.. Walk and was sent out in less than an hour with nothing but ibprofen. Terrible experience. Nurse jessica is not the one to see. She seems more tied up with other crap than the fact that i could be paralyzed. Be aware. Good luck.vets 4fishingI went to the hospital in lots of pain the staff was nice. Was given prescriptions with no doctors signed it and had to talk to the police and show them my discharge paper work still in lots of pain do not take you family there if no one could catch that.Lilli DolanWorst ER visit ever. My husband pulled a groin muscle and was having issues that led to concerns of internal bleeding. We went here because it was close and he was in pain. The Dr said she was going to do a series of tests, but wanted him to get some pain meds first. Once those kicked in, they forgot about him. Nurse came in once to encourage him to give them some fluid and made it sound like a right now thing, then didn’t come back for over an hour. The Dr came back in, said everything looks fine, and we asked what she meant, they hadn’t done anything but give him pain meds and take fluids. She said the nurse had done an ultrasound. We told her the nurse had done no such thing and literally had to argue with her about it. Her response was that she wasn’t going to take sides. What?! She said she’d have the nurse come do it again. When the nurse came back, half an hour later, it was with discharge papers. We asked what happened to the test she was supposed to do, she said she didn’t do that. We had to argue with her about it, when she f
