Barnes-Jewish Hospital Reviews

Before you go to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this St Peters emergency room think.

Aimée Keener⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI know the top complaint about ERs is the wait. For a lot of things seen in the ER, an urgent care would work as well. They are quick and efficient – most close around 8pm, so consider that an option, also tends to be cheaper. So, my story. It’s 9pm, urgent cares nearby are closed, and I HATE the hospital. I find them abhorrent. I knew going in I was likely to be there for 3-6 hours. Which is totally normal for the ER. Remember, urgent cares are faster, look them up, see what they treat, make sure your symptoms match. So, anyway, I showed up with a massive headache, turned out to be a migraine, but as I have never had one I had no idea what was going on. I literally have no idea how people live with these…so, I hate hospitals. But the staff was super nice about it. What I fear most is IVs. The doctor and nurse were so accommodating!! So nice, and totally understanding. They offered me oral alternatives and a shot instead of the traditional IV. I can not be more grateful for the staff and the care I received at their hands. Thank you so much for getting me through this slightly terrifying part of my life. I was in at 9pm, out at 1am. 4 hours. Pretty typical. Again, thank you staff. Hopefully I won’t need to go back anytime soon, but you will be my first choice.Julie Forrester⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had an allergic reaction and had to hit the ER last night. Everyone was super nice…. the front desk, attending nurse, the dr, respiratory nurse. I was lucky that there wasn’t a line of emergencies ahead of me. They took me right away. I didn’t even check in until after they made sure I was ok. My experience was good.Steve Eggering⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWife woke up in severe pain. We got to this ER around 5am, were immediately taken to a room, and the initial assessment of appendicitis or gall stones was made, so she was given pain relief and the staff on duty took great care of us until we could be transferred to the hospital for surgery. Won’t hesitate to come back to this ER if we need treatment again.Mir Ali Worst place to go. Will never go back againTammy Hamman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIt is so hard for me to understand the bad reviews. I went in late in Sunday night with a volar ganglion cyst causing pain and discomfort. From registration to triage to Kristen in the back, my care was better than most ER’s. Kind, compassionate, understanding, thorough, and super helpful! I’ve been to 4 other ER’s to figure out what’s wrong with my wrist and Kristen nailed it plus gave me a hand surgeon referral. Had a little hiccup with the Ortho vending machine codes but that was the only thing remotely displeasing about the visit.Erin Randolph Theres a triage nurse in the ER that is rude and doesn’t take anything seriously when people tell her what’s wrong, she bites your head off and yells at you. Dont know her name but she has lighter hair, blondish, shes maybe 5’5″ shes overweight and a little older 40s maybe 50s? If shes working you might as well go to a different hospital she is jaded, hates her job and hates the patients, and she let’s us know it. Shes pushed to the point of tears a couple times because of how awful she is. Now when I’m having heart issues, I drive 30 minutes out of my way just to avoid this ladyYolanda Ammons Horrible!! Came with my mom for asthma and we’ve been waiting 3 hours and have yet to see a Dr. If you have an emergency, don’t come here!B H Management needs to pay attention to bad reviews and update/modify customer service.John Earl Better hope its life threatening, otherwise be prepared to wait a very, very, very long time. Example: arrive and check in at 6pm, no one may even speak to you until 12am…..
