Bay Medical Beach Reviews

Before you go to Bay Medical Beach, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Panama City Beach emergency room think.

Amanda Rennie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExceptional experience! On a family vacation our little one fell and had a gash in her eyebrow. The nurses and doctor were absolutely wonderful and moved quickly to accommodate us. In and out in 40 minutes! Cannot thank them all enough. An extra special thank you to Dr. Buckner for taking such great care with stitching her up and to nurses Sharon and Dana for being so kind!Christine Summers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI bruised my ribs in a fall and went to Bay Medical because they were very painful. I got there about 730am and was seen within 5-10 minutes. I was very impressed with nurse Arlene, EMT Dylan, and Chris and Autumn in x-ray. I was done with x-ray within 25 minutes of arrival. Waited about 30 minutes before Nurse Practioner Thomasina came in with the results and prescriptions to control the pain and a muscle relaxer. I was out of the building within about an hour of my arrival. Everyone I dealt with was personable and professional. I would highly recommend this facility!aine ahmed If you want good service, go to Bay Medical proper in Panama City for emergency services. If you want to die while waiting to get in-processed, go to Bay Medical at Panama City Beach. It’s not the staffs fault – just cheap higher ups that want to make sure they cut corners and services to get a bigger bonus at the end of the year.Pete Zeis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’m 67 years old and having shortness of breath on Christmas Eve, I went to the ER about 9PM. Over the years I have made several trips to an ER due to personal issues or taking one of my employees after an accident. With this visit I can say that I have never had the attention and service that I was given last night at Bay Medical ER. I was seen immediately and cared for by a group of great people. Their attitudes were positive and clearly focused on providing great care. Mentioning several times that I hated to be there on Christmas Eve and that they were having to work, everyone I said this too replied they were glad to help, anytime. One nurse mentioned that she had worked at a few different Hospitals over the years and this was the best one she had worked at by far and I can certainly agree that was my experience. as well. Thanks to everyone that helped me and the others that make Bay Medical ER operate as I experienced last night.Best Celadon Vacation⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat place if you need ER care. I am so glad they are close to the beach & condo resorts !Lauren R Unfortunately, it seems good doctors are difficult to find in this area. This place misdiagnosed my father twice. Ultimately he ended up having double pneumonia. How can you misdiagnosis something this serious when Xrays and CT scans were taken? He is now in ICU being treated for an abcess surrounding his spine, another thing this ER missed. If you’re in need of medical care, I recommend traveling a few extra miles to Gulf Coast Medical Center. They’ve taken great care of him and most importantly his new doctor isn’t a moron.Marie Smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy son went here with a bad stomach virus. 4 IV bags later…he felt so much better. Excellent nurse he had.Sarah George If I could give zero stars I would. They wouldn’t let me back with my husband claiming that because of where they had him there wasn’t enough room, but my husband tells me there were plenty of people there with family. They said they’d give me updates and they gave one stating he was in x-ray when he didn’t even go to xray.. he had an ultrasound!! The doctor didn’t even look at his ankle as it was twice the size of his other one than when called out on it claimed no one said he’d done anything to it. He asked my husband if he WANTED an x-ray.. my husband told him he’s the doctor not him why should he be making the decisions?! Than as he sat in there 3 hours, no updates for me.. a doctor’s wife comes in and they use a machine on her to look at her ankle when she wasn’t even registered as a patient and my husband’s care was INTERRUPTED to care for a doctor’s wife.. where as us small peons would have gotten a bill for over a thousand bucks for them using a machine like that on us.. Doctor’s wife gets care free of charge when that machine isn’t that doctor’s property.. pretty sure that isn’t allowed.Ashlyn Blair⭐️⭐️The Doctors, Nurse’s, and Nursing Assistants are awesome. You are a person to them not just a number. I wish I could say the same for the Front Desk Admissions woman named Kim. She was extremely rude, very judgmental, and not welcoming. To be honest, She made me feel like she thought I was searching for care because I was in search of Narcotics and that was not the case at all! I simply needed an antibiotic for a bad tooth that would have kept me away from my job the following day. Id give her minus 5 stars for poor human compassion and character!Marsha Knight⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe were on vacation and my son got sick. The staff and Doctor was very nice…. they was great from the time we came in till the time we left. We was seen in a timely manner.Tyler Nerland⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy daughter cut her head on the corner of a table; they got her all glued up and we were in and out in no time. Everyone was very friendly.William Money⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWENT HERE YESERDAY AND EVERYONE WAS GREAT MY NURSE BETTI WAS GREAT AND DYLAN IN REGISTATION WAS NICE THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF MEDillon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDon’t listen to the guy below. They were great – in and out really quick! Thanks so much Dr Blue!Annie Roe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had excellent care today. They got me into an exam room in minutes then I had multiple lab techs & great caring nursss draw blood etc. Was probably the best ER experience ever.apsims100⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIn town from Atlanta for Spring Break. My son was having an asthma attack, the facility had my son back to feeling better in less than an hour. Staff said good thing we got here so fast. Your staff is AWESOME!! I am so GRATEFUL!!!! Thabk you Bay Medical❤❤Michael Preston⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe physicians, nurses, and all staff members at this institution are 100% the best trained medical staff I’ve come across. They are caring, efficient, and organized. Rex, Dr. Mcallister, the RNs Hannah and Michelle took such great care of me and my pregnancy wife and helped to calm our nerves about the baby and my wife’s health so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you.autumn baker If your dieing , think your dieing or simply just in any type of pain DO NOT COME HERE I repeat DO NOT COME HERE. We are not from the area and my husband needed to be seen ASAP so we came here.. ohhh what a mistake. We got told after sitting in the waiting room 45 mins that they are a 9 room hospital. 8 beds and 1 stretcher . All happened to be filled and NOONE had been seen so they couldn’t even give us an expected wait time. Fast forward to 3 1/2 hours later. In comes some chick screaming about her stomach on a stretcher they throw her on the couch and say hope you get better. Finally After sitting in the waiting room. For 5 hrs we finally get called back and get put on a stretcher in the hall.. wheww what a journey.Eric Esquibel So I had to take my wife here because she was experiencing chest pains. Its going on 4 hours now of sitting here hurting.still having severe chest pains.Still waiting to see a Dr. Also she had a seizure while we were waiting. When informed them to get help they sent out a nurse who then proceeded to tell us that it couldnt have been a seizure because she didn’t poop herself. Then he walked away. If you have an actual emergency try and make the drive anywhere else. You can literally die waiting in this waiting room to be seen.Do Not Go Here If You Can Avoid It!Jason Litz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat Dr’s and Nurses! Dylan in registration is fantastic.Haley Murray Honestly if i could give zero stars i would. I went in a couple days ago with unbearable abdominal pain. They ONLY did a uti test Since it came back positive (as i already knew i had one) they blamed all my pain on the uti and sent me out with prescription i wasnt supposed to fill for 2 days and only if it got worse. That night comes and the pain was extremely worse. I knew it wasnt the uti so at 2 a.m i drove to gulf coast. Turns out i have inflammation in my small intestine and colon and have crohn’s disease. Beach ER does the absolute bare minimum and just cares about getting you out the door. Never going there again.Taffy Dafydd I was seen at the beach e.r. and sent home with an antibiotic rx. After being on the antibiotics and being a woman, a female issue occurred, that is common, as a result of the antibiotic. I rang the beach e.r. as I was treated there and given the prescription from there. I do not have insurance and cannot afford an out of pocket gp visit nor another e.r. Bill. I asked if they could please call me in an rx for dilflucan to resolve my issue as related to antibiotics prescribe previously this facility. I was refused and told I’d have to come in or get an otc medication. If otc monastat worked. It wouldn’t be otc. And it’s ridiculous as this is a common occurrence for women on antibiotics. I wasn’t asking for hydrocodone. I was asking for diflucan. What an absolute racket, a way to charge patients more money by coming in and wasting time of staff. A female patient, who was previously seen, prescribed antibiotics, only to receive a different sort of infection as a result of the antibiotics, and denied to call in 1 pill of diflucan for the patient to resolve the issue. Not financially friendly. Not female friendly. Not patient friendly.Patrick O’Neil⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was at the Jazz Festival and became extremely ill Sunday evening and everyone from the Emt team , Ambulance staff to the team of people in ER especially nurse Hanni and Dr. Woo . Because of them I’m back home in Memphis feeling better!Angel M⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI must take the time to leave a review after my experience this past week. I can be a hard critic of emergency rooms because I’m in the medical field myself. But I must say this time was a world away from previous experiences elsewhere. It was good to be treated with professionalism and care from the intake representative “Whitney” who took the time to answer all my questions, to my nurses “Jill” and”Ginger”, to Dr. Hughes who came in and accessed the whole situation and asked all the necessary questions to treat me accordingly, and knew that I needed to be hospitalized. These individuals were very professional and made me feel that I was in safe hands and even made me at ease when I left for admittance. I am truly grateful and won’t get that awful feeling of dread the next time I get sick and am unable to see my own physician at Tyndall AFB. A big thank you to all of them.Joyce Dagner⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI want to thank Dr.Harris&all the staff for the fine job they did Tom Yelton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI come from the emergency medicine background so I can say from experience that this is an efficient and professional facility. Brought us right back diagnosed swiftly and were caring and engaging through the whole experience. Would highly reccomend.Linda Johns⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWonderful experience..great doctor and nurse!Dan Cecilia⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat place, friendly staff, very attentive. We had a very sick child and they helped immediately. Let us do the paperwork in the patient room. They accept all insurance and are a Christian hospital. Can’t be more pleased with this facility, they are awesome and an absolute God send. Our child was better within 24hrs.Jeffrey Mcnelley I have never experienced that level of disregard for a svere health condition. I was having crippling back spasms, couldn’t walk. And had to be brought by ambulance because of the severity. They examined me and gave me a prescription and told me I would have to leave. I litterally could not get off the table for the pain. A t that point the lady went and got another woman and a man, and they grab me by feet and upper body and dump me in the chair while I was screaming with pain, and rolled me to the front door and left me ! My ride came and he alone had to get me into the car. If one of my children we’re dying, I would not take them to bay medical Beach ER, .It was simply an unimaginable experience in healthcare!!! I will be contacting an attorney.Sean Grier⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAwesome. In and out quick. Friendly staff! Thank you!Terry Tanner Smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCaring professionals at every turn. Immediate check in. Nursing staff explained each step from blood work to IV. Highly recommend.Louise Wenger⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy experience at Bay medical facility was way beyond my expectations…I was in immense pain and was quickly registered, assessed, xray, CT scan and a Doctor’s consult all within a 2 hour period…the facility was super clean, Nurses very helpful, efficient and truly was enlightening as I’m on a month long vacation in Panama Beach City, From Alberta…considering the nasty pain I was in, I was very well tended to..Keaton Call Honestly if I could give this terrible excuse for a medical facility no stars I most certainly would. Last night I took my near 3 year old and my self to the beach er, my daughter was presenting with what seemed like pink eye. I’m not sure cause I’m not a medical professional. Anywho not only that but I myself have been sick now basically nonstop since hurricane Michael hit. Last night the swallowing got so painful I couldn’t eat. So back to the problem. We checked in and overall the people at check in were nice and friendly. But the moment we were done with check in our experience took a dive. As for my daughter NO ONE EVEN LOOKED AT HER they literally heard what my fiancee had to say about it and just said”ok were going to get you some eye drops and some antubiotics” as for me I was set in a separate room and after a few moments the nurse practitioner came in and was very rude. I was trying to explain to her my symptoms and what’s been going on but she didnt care to hear any of it she just kept insisting on “What makes it an emergency TONIGHT?” Eventually I just told her that it had become to painful to swallow. WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT MY THROAT she said “ok we will get you some antibiotics” and that was the end of our visit. We waited until they brought us some scripts and then was sent on our way. Of course the longest ongoing conversation we had with any individual there was with registration. They had to make sure they got there money. I dont deserve to be charged nor does my insurance for non existant care. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HEREDonna Edelman I had surgery on my left on shoulder 4 weeks ago. I wake up yesterday morning with swelling and severe pain so I go to er there and they are going to xray my right shoulder I had to tell them no it’s the left one. Then I sat for 3 hours waiting on results and Dr tells me my left shoulder is hurting because I had surgery on my right shoulder. I’m shaking my freaking head. So the pain is muscle spasms because of trauma in right shoulder. Dude it’s the left shoulder that I just had surgery on. He didn’t even look at it. I’m very disappointed. On top of this my bp was 170 over 108 I said it’s because of the pain. I guess they thought I just wanted pain pills. What an insultJohn Nameperson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedReally impressed with the Panama City Beach Bay Medical ER. Everyone was friendly and professional. Was seen by doctor almost immediately and had blood work and CT-Scan within an half hour of arriving. Diagnosed and treated my condition. Could not be more please with staff and facility.Stephen Guidry⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDr. Meade and his staff were fantastic….My wife was seen Friday afternoon in a timely manner. Staff listened, was extremely compassionate and did everything they could to make sure my wife was diagnosed and treated properly. Highly recommend this ER!Sarah Lewis Took an esophageal cancer patient in at midnight last night. He was so weak he could barely walk. Tried to explain his background info as it was pertinent to his complaints, but got cut off by the intake woman. When asking if they had direct access to records from sacred heart in Miramar Beach, the first nurse didn’t know what hospital that was. Later another nurse told me it was 1 a.m. and we couldn’t expect records that fast. Totally not what I meant, and it was 12:15. Another nurse grabbed his frail arm so hard he thought his shoulder was going to go out place. We left. No treatment. They can’t even tell time. Waste of space. Employees, with the exception of gentleman at the door, obviously could care less. Save yourself, don’t go.Lisa Stohler⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat staff in the office and wonderful nurses and CT tech!! Really liked the Dr I saw Thursday afternoon.Erika Cane So they removed my post about some of the racist staff that works there. That’s fine too. Can’t remove it from other social media sites Be blessedMark Tate⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad a tooth abscess on Christmas Eve. No urgent care, no pharmacy. I did not call my Dentist as I figured they were closed. I understand. It was Christmas. Took a shot and drove down to the new Bay Medical Beach ER. They are not dentist, but an infection is an infection. They were all fantastic. Gave me a shot of steroid to reduce the swelling, a first start of antibiotic with a prescription, and wrote out instructions for Ibuprofen. I called my Dentist (Parkway Dental) to leave a message, and they had an emergency number. Called it, and my Dentist answered. So proud he took time from his Christmas, I explained what happened, and what the Bay Medical Beach ER did. Provided info on the Antibiotic. He stated they did exactly what he would have done! Set up to go in tomorrow to finish the job! Thank you to Bay Medical ER. Doctor Scott, the nurses, and my neighbor who works in intake! BUDDY! You were all great. Thank You!! And Thank You to Parkway Dental for following up and confirming! So proud to be on the Beach!Slime_world Slimetory⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNot where I wanted to end up on vacation but while here I suffered some pretty severe pain due to a kidney stone. This hospital was very fast and effective at treating me. Very friendly as well. Thank you to all the staff here for making this unfortunate situation a little better!Binx 114⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWonderful staff. They took care of me immediately. I was in and out with sufficient care. They even called to check up on me to see if I was making a successful recovery.Tiffani Stewards⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have had a bad cold and it finally hit me full blown. I was a wreck, quick n easy way of putting it. At first I was skeptical about this place because they stuck me in a chair n the hallway. But I honestly didn’t need nor want a bed. I just wanted to be seen , get something to help and get outta there so I could crawl back n my big cozy bed! I received a steroid shot after only being in the hall 10-15 mins. And got my prescription and was on my way. From the time I checked in, waited in the waiting room, then went back was maybe hour to hour n half total! And the staff was very helpful, compassionate and understanding. Highly recommend!!Monica Landry Went to Bay Medical ER on Thanksgiving Day with a small cut to my hand, that I thought might need stitches. A technician washed it with Hydro.Peroxide, a nurse practitioner looked at the cut, applied super glue and bandage. I also received a tetanus shot. Staff was cordial and helpful, clean facility, but the out of the door cost was outrageous. We paid our share on leaving, the total charges were $3,427 for a 1/2 in cut, super glue, and a shot. We have tried unsuccessfully to resolve the issue on 5 attempts with their patient liaison representative and billing department, they have never called back. Now they have forwarded the two bills , one for the hospital charges and one for the nurse practitioner to credit collection agencies. Because of the excessive charges and lack of response from them, I would not recommend using this facility.LesMoney 89 Big sign on all doors say Your Privacy is Our number one goal. No it wasn’t as 4 nurses and 1 doctor checked me with my door open infront of everyone. I told them it ws an issue and I had to close the door numerous Times. Then the medicine makes my heart rate drop and I almost pass out was not told that would happen I had to call a nurse and a different one came and checked in me. Scared for my health here. I feel worse now then before I arrivedJennifer Reynolds⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone was extremely kind and competent. Got my husband in and out when he had a kidney stone.Kristen Pounds PARENTS BE AWARE !! Where do I begin ? We came in and were approached by police officers escorting some crazy guy out. My one year old daughter had been having diarrhea and couldn’t keep anything down. She had eaten melon , that was probably laced with salmonella and we mentioned that to the doctor. They examined her , but did not touch her and diagnosed with a virus. They gave us pedialite and we left. THEY RAN NO TESTS AND DID NO PRECEDERE. So once her diarrhea continued , we knew it was something more so we drove her back home to Georgia and turns out she did have salmonella! On top of that , I get a 250 dollar bill for pedialite!! This place is a joke and if you have a young one or diarrhea be aware!! DO NOT COME HERE !!!Lynn Andrews I guess I have to put one star since there is no lower rate, I went there for a fractured nose they stuck me in the hall took x-rays of only my nose even when I told them I’m having root canal symptoms/pain in my teeth, they didn’t do any oral x-ray or examination matter fact I never even seen a doctor. Not one time. Never got anything for pain. Debe the lady who sits at the desk in Black scrubs was stuck up and laughing at my situation then calls security because I tell her she’s not being professional and I would like something done then they refer me to a Dr for a follow up who don’t even take my insurance. What was the point of even going. I see why people just buy stuff off the streets because the hospital is a joke. And on top of not seeing a doctor the whole time they never when told me exactly what kind of fracture I have or anything. Y’all are a waist of space we need a real emergency room on the beach.Taylor Sergent This place is joke. If your in actual pain don’t come here. My husband and I are here with my parents on vacation and he had a bad tooth, went in because he’d been taking handfuls of anti-inflammatory for almost three days.. along with his antibiotic. He called his denist back home and they said go to the nearest ER for pain medicine. Well they gave him some more antibiotics and some Advil ? I guess i just don’t understand. Also they put us ine a room with another person which i’m not sure but i’m almost certain that is against HIPPA. Us nor the kid beside us had any privacy! Seriously stay away from this place just make the drive to a different one.Misty Benz Awful experience! Went in while on vacation because my 6 year old’s fever spiked to 104 the night before and hadn’t broken the whole day. She was becoming delusional and getting sick to her stomach. We got to the ER, they did a strep and flu test, both came back negative. Prescribed her with an antibiotic anyway and sent us on. No answers. In the middle of the night her fever was up even higher. With not knowing what else to do, I called them asking for advice. They told me she was fine, but sounded like I needed to come in and learn how to medicate my child. When we finally get home and go see our doctor, the first thing tested was her urine. It immediately came back as a UTI. If they did their job correctly instead of pushing patients in and out without a care, my child wouldn’t have spent the next 5 days with high fevers, on an antibiotic that was doing nothing but giving us false hope. I do NOT recommend this hospital!John Gatlin⭐️⭐️Poor communication and organization.Martin Nelsen⭐️⭐️Doctor good, staff needs a little refresher on how to communicate with patients. No reason to take over 3 hours.Jimmy Calton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy wife is receiving chemo for breast cancer at UAB. She began running a high temperature and I took her to the beach ER on Wednesday night. Within 2 minutes of first entering the ER she was in an examination room with a Dr. and three nurses. Within 15 minutes they had xrayed her chest and drawn blood. Within 15 minutes of drawing blood, they came back with the results. She was septic, anemic, and running a high temperature, all very serious problems for a chemo patient. They began treating her and then transported her (they don’t charge for the ambulance ride)to Bay Med where she was admitted without any wait and received excellent care. We were discharged Saturday morning. I am extremely impressed with the professionalism exhibted by the staff at both locations . If you are west of Hathaway bridge and need emergency medical care, you should be very satisfied with the beach ER.Allie Ganoe I went here as I had a bad cold. I told them only to focus on my lungs as I had surgery 4 days before and was seeing my surgeon tomorrow. They threatened my friend with a psych wRd for laughing. They tried to run up thousands of dollars on Medicare fraud after they told me my lungs were FINE and then they wanted to have me sign I choose to leave against medical advice when they had no advice provided. DO NOT GO HERE!! I am serious!! This is NOT SACRED HEART. This is a mostly bad staffed poorly run doc in a box who can’t financially make it so they try to bilk insurance companies on bogus fees with bogus supplies. Unreal!!lisa figgins Horrible experience. I went in with a thrown out back. I have anklosing spondalitis. Due to this I have a titanium plate and pins in my back. Was put in a bed in the hallway. Finally got xrays. Went back to hallway. Not one nurse came by. Finally caught someone’s attention to see if I could get some pain relief A nurse practitioner came by said she couldn’t do anything. When I went in I was very upfront as to medications I was taking. My doctor zabih prescribes one loratab in the morning and one in the evening. Nurse practitioner said since I have that, she couldn’t provide anything for me. So, I take any excess of my AS med, I would be out and not have enough for the remaining month. So, basically I’m screwed either way. Can’t walk. Contacted , or should I say left messages for Dr Zabih. They have no openings until my next month’s appointment. And FYI, I talked to pharmacist and by laws, and you most definitely can get an additional prescription. So basically your very uneducated staff have no clue and don’t care. God forbid, someone came in with a broken limp, but since they are on something for an incurable auto immune disease….you just send them out the door. Really poor practice.Angela Mielke⭐️⭐️We visited at the end of January for my husband in the middle of the night (I think around 130am). The staff was very friendly, however despite it being peak flu season and me being 6 months pregnant, nobody offered me a mask and I didn’t see any out on the counters, etc. Also, there was only one doctor there, so our visit took about 7 hours, which is atrocious. Next time, we will make the drive into town.Aaron Curry⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNice staff and very helpfulMichael and Cynde⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNice friendly staff Speedy service in and out, thanks Beach ER staff !Christine Connors⭐️⭐️Awful experience. Way understaffed and what staff is there have chips on their shou
