Cristina SaylorIn the ER with my daughter, it’s been 4 hours, 9 people who were here after us have gone back. 7 have been discharged. Staff was rude when after 3 and a half hours asked how much longer. It would have been faster to drive to KC and back. Stay away.Rhoda PrayerMy mother has been in this hospital 4 times this year. She went to the emergency room 4 times and her primary internist did not know she had gone. On Last week when admitted for 5 days, her potassium as very low. I put her on Ensure with a very high count of protein and sent her home, because stabilized. A nurse and physical therapist came by twice a week. No nutritional came to her home one discharged. 6 days after her discharge, she was readmitted to the hospital for being weak and mal-nutrition. She also visited her pain specialist who was schedule to give her an injection for her pain. The pain specialist has not idea he was in the hospital, and cancelled the injection. Boone hospital has an electronic medical record system, but the providers responsible for my mother’s care are not using the system.Charlotte Hurd⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent treatment, the best nurses and doctors I have ever had.Darla Hanson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy son has been seen here twice and I could not be more impressed the staff is very attentive and actually listens to you. I would recommend this hospital to anyone and everyone I know! It’s nice to know there is a place like this to go to.BrianWaited for over 3 hours, with a toddler with a broken leg. Still didn’t see a doctor. Absolutely appalling”service” there. I’ll drive to Charlotte next time … Even with the drive time, it will still take less time. Pitiful.Bethany BylerEvery time I or my family have needed to use the emergency room, the staff is cold, the wait is unreasonably long and the care is sub par, at best. This is the worst ER in our city at this point. I have left before being seen mulitple times because of the wait. Now that we have waited over 3 hours here… I have also had the pleasure of listening to the nurse (young lady with brown hair) talk bad about other patients…Rachael BingamanThe emergency room at Boone is a tragic joke anymore. The nurses and staff are so unprofessional. Sat and watched a brunette nurse talk and laugh to other staff about patients after they left. You’re in this field of work why? If I hadn’t already waited 4 hours I would’ve also walked out. Just truly sad the kind of people that are “caring” for our public these days.James ConcannonLong wait. Wife stuck in waiting room over 2 hrs with a needle stuck in her.michael martinUnprofessional nurse staff. Rude and saw one brown haired lady talk about patients in front of other people. Wait time for an ER is ridiculously long. If you have an actual emergency I don’t recommend coming here.Lindsey Campbell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI visited this E.R with my 17 month old girl. I had previously taken her to University urgent care the day before where she was diagnosed with a viral infection. The next day (today) her wheezing continued and I became very worried so took her to Boone ER. When we were seen by the young male doctor. He immediately knew something wasnt right and consulted with Dr.Batman the other Doc on duty. They went into action to get my baby girl better. I thank them so much for taking the time and being extremely knowledgeable and understanding. All the nurses were very friendly and extreamly caring and helpful! Thank you Boone E.R!!Kendric BallengerBeen stuck in the waiting room for 4 hours and still have not been seen, what’s going on here?! I might as well have stayed at work or went home Rooster 799⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCouldn’t have been more pleased with the quality of care and the speed of service. Everything ran like a well oiled machine.Universal Auto Exports Inc.Brought my mom into the ER at the request of her primary physician bc her blood pressure was high and was complaining of chest pains. The concern was that she may have a heart attack and/or blood clot. We have been here for over 6 hours and yet to be seen by a physician. Absolutely redicuilus! Staff is not friendly or helpful and act like they don’t know anything. When we ask them when she will be seen by a physician, they simply say we don’t know. Sat in the waiting room for 4 hours and in the patient room for 2.5 hours and still no physician. I have been to ER’s in 3rd world countries that treat and turn patients faster than Boone hospital. Shame on you Boone hospital/BJC and Shame on whomever gave you a license to see and treat people. The absolute worst ER experience ever!leah taylorDidn’t really want to give one star but I will never come to this hospital emergency room !!! I meet my daughter and her mother in law at the emergency room waiting area . my daughter had nausea and chest/ back pain . They toke blood and did X-ray / electrocardiogram pretty quick probably because of chest pain . After a 45 min wait finally got a bed . She layed in the bed in pain for 1 hour ! No one checked on her I had to keep asking first is the doctor coming then is someone coming with pain meds . Every time the nurses were just standing around chitchatting !!! Finally !! All it toke was pain and nausea meds she felt 100 better in 10 minutes only after rolling around the bed for 2 1/2 hours ! Really people !!!!Jessie EdgingtonI went to the ER at Boone Hospital because for 3 wks, I had severe liquid diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain of my whole stomach and back pain. I lost at least 18 lbs in the 3 weeks. My primary DR, I could not get into for a month, so I did seek another DR for care before I turned to the ER. After that DR just kept requesting test after test and didn’t want to try and treat some of my symptoms, I gave in and went to the ER. At first it seemed we got checked in fairly quickly, signed our name to be seen and was called within 5 min., got a IV port started and some blood drawn for labs. THAN, we sat in the waiting room for over 2 hrs. and it was empty, just me and maybe at times another person. When I finally did get called back into a room, my nurse LYDIA popped in pushed buttons on a computer, ask a few questions, not about my pain or how I was feeling or anything of that sort. I explain everything to her and she walks out. again, no help for my symptoms or anything. I wait for over a couple more hours, nurse doesn’t pop in to check on me at all. I get up to use restroom and provide urine sample, nurse watches me get up on my own and come back on my own, she doesn’t help or offer help. I wait 10 min and have to call her to come pick up my urine sample. I wait for over another 2 hrs. before DR. S. Scott pops in for a brief and rude 5 mins, just running down a list of questions, pushes on my stomach and says yep we do a CAT SCAN. I wait over an hour and half before the scan. Which I will add the imaging staff was very pleasant and checked how I was doing frequently the whole 15 min I was in their care and they were running around like chickens. After my scan, I wait in the ER room for over another 2 hrs before nurse pops in and says she is going to give me something FINALLY for my symptoms. and than we wait another hour before the DR comes in and says that he is going to give me antibiotics, order another test and THAN he goes on to tell me that the ER room is for people who are bleeding, have a fever, are sick, and/or in pain, AND that the ER room is NOT for people who are sick, in pain and want answers. Hello, which is it and I was in pain, and sick and plus more. And I think everybody who goes to the ER for care wants answers of what the hell is happening to them, are they going to be okay and so on. I know the ER can be hectic and chaotic especially for the staff, but that doesn’t mean the staff has the right to forget, be rude, be angry, neglect, ignore any of their patients. From the moment I checked in to the ER, I was there for about 8 hrs and I watched my nurse OFTEN sit and look at me from a desk and I’m well aware there were more serious patients. I was patient for those patients to get care first, however, I still needed and had the right to my care too. And I received less than the minimum amount of care there. My suggestion to anyone who goes to Boone Hospital ER and gets a nurse by the name of Lydia or DR. S. Scott, you might be better off just leaving and taking on your troubles on your own, it’s evident by my experience these two don’t want to help and don’t care.Karen AbercrombieMy elderly parents have both been there this week and the service and wait time is horrible.Tammy MenefeeSlow! 5 and a half hours so far with no answers. Update…ended up being 8 1/2 hours. Brother was diagnosed with constipation, degenerative back disease, and herniated disc. While in there they had talked about him possibly having an abcess on his back but instead of ruling it out sent him home on pain meds and steroids. Few days later back to his family doctor. He did a couple mri’s and found the abcess. Had to have surgery next day because of infection and pus pockets. The ER dropped the ball and my brother went through tremendous pain for an extra week because they didnt rule out what another person on their team thought it could be. This is a very serious oversight!!Joshua Lorentz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat service, very attentive, great staff.Michael Carter⭐️⭐️Very slow on what appeared to be not a busy night. A lot of people sitting around talking. Left in exam room for 2 plus hours with no contact.Desiree Holloway⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing, patient, nonjudgmental , attentive staff. Thank you.Dave EakerThey will NOT get an interpreter for deaf patients when they are in ER. VRI is NOT reliable.Kyle Curielbad
