Jimmy Garcia⭐️⭐️Average customer service skills but poor communication skills and conflict resolution priority. My son’s prescription sent to wrong place and without proper information. Correcting issue was not a priority and staff inappropriate when pharmacy or I tried to following up.Serena Bloodsworth⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEach time I’ve been to this ER, it was as good of an experience as it could be. Especially when I visited yesterday (the day after Christmas). Every staff member that I encountered told me that they hope I felt better soon. The nurse I had was hilarious and understanding when I accidentally didn’t follow his instructions properly. The doctor took the time to explain my diagnosis and was very compassionate even called me a hard worker because I was concerned with work so he extended my absence to four days without me asking. They didn’t make me feel dumb for visiting when I could have easily went to urgent care, had they had any appointments available. I just saw so many bad reviews on here, I know it must not feel good working there and seeing those so I thought I would leave them something positive. It takes a special person to work in the medical field let alone the emergency room, so thank you to them!Beatriz Giselle Nascimento SiqueiraI showed up 6 weeks pregnant and high blood pressure. After waiting 1 hour and a half to see a nurse, I had fallen asleep when they called so they called me and saw my BP was back to normal. But being pregnant that is a bit risky. They sent me home and did nothing. 3 days later I lost my baby- went to inova because they are worthy being called a hospital that helps people, and they confirmed my BP was indeed very high. Well, as you can imagine we are devastated. We lost our baby because no one drew some blood to see what was going on at Calvert Hospital. What a joke of doctors and facility.Gayle Schlenker⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came in late in the day having been throwing up all day long and suffering from a terrible migraine on top of it all. They could not have been nicer or more professional. They started me on a saline drip to which they added anti-nausea medication and pain medication. They also did a cat scan to make sore it was nothing worse. I guess it was the flu, but whatever it was they helped me sooo much and I will be forever grateful!Jennifer CorrisI wish I could give this zero stars but i guess since a nurse was pretty nice she can get the one star. I used to love this ER dept but our last experience was the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. We were there for over 30 hours with my son because he had a severe anxiety attack. The social worker at night was the WORST! The things she said to me and my husband when we wanted to take our child home, and said IN FRONT OF my child were uncalled for and it embarrased and humiliated my son. There was so much they did wrong this time i cant list it all… its just sad and disheartening.Julie Azzarello⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI want to thank Doctor Katerina and RN Jenny for their delightful and personal attention they gave me last night! I came in with a severely painful Sciatica and was feeling hopeless. I was treated with respect and professionalism and my immediate needs were handled in a timely manner considering the busy night the ER staff was faced with. I was even given referrals for the Doctors that I need as I am new to Maryland! Thank you to these fine and wonderful ladies and all the ER staff that kindly assisted me.tee smiIf I could have given it a lower score I would. Now I have had great service here before in the past but today on February the 27th 2019 was the worst ever they get me in the back rather quickly the doctor comes in in a reasonable amount of time but his phone rings and he goes back out OK then he comes back and begins to examine me I relaid to him that my jaw was hurting because of a rough tooth extraction..he begins to argue with me and tells me that’s impossible..There cant be that much force from a tooth extraction…He the says he will refer me to a specialist and prescribe muscle relaxants..i said no…i dont want more pills..I know for a fact this was the result of the rough tooth extraction..I ask him..are you gonna at least take an XRay?..I had to convince him to do an XRay..and I’m the patient..well…I waited over an hour and no one ever came to do my XRay..I finally couldn’t take it anymore and left…I cant remember the doctors name..but it was around 7 am this day..Dean PattersonIf I could give zero stars I wouldCatarina atpeace⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCalvert Memorial has an amazing team of Nurses, Doctors, Staff and Directors!! Their ER is truly the best most functionable and efficient ER I have ever been to. I am chronically ill and have lived in five different states over the past 7 years. Sometimes going to three or four different hospitals within a couple months. Its safe to say I am a expertise on this subject. People don’t understanding the funding, logistics and benefits of living in our beautiful, sparsely populated County. Sadly, some of those people have made brash uneducated reviews. Don’t believe them. Know this, The TRUTH is Calvert Memorial is exceptional a truly superb hospital. One which we are blessed to have. Calvert Memorial is due far more credit so I am here to tell you and bring recognition to their entire Team. Calvert Memorial will make sure you are taken care by whatever means is necessary at whatever time you need. They literally saved my life two weeks ago and they have taken exceptional care of my Parents over the years. Thank you Keep up the good work Calvert Memorial Hospital! Oh P.S. Those commenters making negative, ignorant comments you are free to move to the City.Lanise MaynardIf I could’ve rated it 0 stars I would. It used to be a good hospital. Now I’m currently sitting here in excrutiating pain and a sickle cell patient being told I have to wait 2 hours for a bed. Maybe they don’t know much about sickle cell but that’s why you’re a hospital. Research it and require your medical staff to do the same.Jonathan HostetlerAfter 3 hours and 45 minutes of waiting for my baby to be seen by a doctor, we just left. What’s even more frustrating than the unacceptably long wait time was the fact that they couldn’t even give us the results of the xray and swab unless we waited even longer for a doctor. Their “app” that they promote on their website and on local billboards said the “average wait time was 22 minutes” which is part of what helped us decide to go to this ER in the first place, was obviously not accurate and the receptionists at the entrance confirmed that as well. My recommendation… if you have an emergency that needs prompt attention, try somewhere else.Rhonda TuzzioI had promised myself that I would never go back to CMH unless I had no other options. However, I had stabbing chest pains for about 30 minutes, and I got scared. After 5 1/2 hours, they finally released me, after giving me a very painful potassium drip. The doctor never even gave me any answers, other than low potassium. After following up with my primary physician, he told me that a potassium level of 3 was low, but most likely didn’t cause my pain. He thought it was pleurisy, and I went for my doctor’s recommended chest X-ray, which was normal. CMH tried to get me to sign an AMA (against medical advice form), which would possibly allow my insurance company to deny the whole thing. This was simply because I refused a chest X-ray in the emergency room, after the EKG and blood work was done. I also had waited until the drip bag was nearly empty before I said I wanted to be released. The nurse told the doctor that the bag was basically done, but he told her to have me sign the form anyway. I refused to sign. Now, I just got the Explanation of Benefits form from my insurance company, and it totals around $1200.00, for practically nothing. Nearly all of my time there, I was alone in the room.Ebubblez Davis⭐️⭐️⭐️I came from Lothian Maryland for a asthma attack via ambulance. I told them to take me to the nearest hospital which is in Annapolis. I was told no and taken to Calvert. I arrived at peak time and left. No one gave me the nurse button or a blanket. I had to remind them I couldn’t breathe. However once the er seemed to slow down they ran several tests and x-rays. I was given not treatment in route so only thing I’d change is they should have been quicker to respond to a patient who is having a obvious asthma attack. It was difficult to keep calm because my airway was swelling shut. Once peak time was over though they were great. I’m still not sure why I was taken so far out the way and no treatment on the way. If you have to go do not go during peak hours. They did monitor my vitals regularly once it was slow. I DO NOT AGREE with the camera in my room. I feel that was a violation of my rights.Randy Martin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedProbably the best Emergency room experience in my 40 years of life. In and out in 30 minutes.Terri BoldygaI have never thought of a hospital with such distaste as I do Calvert. From doctors, nurses to the Accounting Department, OIY! TOTALLY unprofessional and bogus! My story is not alone! Is there a “no star” button?Yury ReyesI really felt discriminated and disrespected. I really hope that other individuals of color do not have to go through the same type of discrimination because of the staff at Calvert memorial hospital.amanda phillipsi would never come back to this hospital the worst nurses & staff the wait time was over 6 hrs. i don’t understand a hospital is suppose to help people not torture them. -6 stars for me.Adrian BeardTried to schedule a simple EEG and kept getting put back into the queue so many times I felt like I was in a Russian gulag!Jenny DoveIf I could give it no stars I would. Absolute worst hospital in the world, wouldn’t go again even if I was dying. The staff is rude and ignorant. I’m not sure where these doctors get their licenses from but I’m going to guess a cereal box.Eric Sullivan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFriendly staff and family center is exceptional!Dacia TettThe wait time was for ever and I honestly don’t think they verified everything that was wrong with me. If transportation permits go to a REAL hospital with REAL DOCTORS.some of the staff is friendly depends on who is there. I guess.
