Before you go to Castle Rock Adventist Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Castle Rock emergency room think.
Michael Smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWhat a great team acute care has! I had a family member who was a patient and the care was wonderful. The night shift did a great job on letting them sleep. I know this because I spent sometime with them over night. They were kind and very understanding. It was great to see my family members being treated as a person vs just someone with a medical condition.Cherie Mischlich⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThere is nowhere in the world I would ever want to give birth to a child. Everyone at the hospital has been overwhelmingly compassionate and unbelievably accommodating. Having a preterm baby in NICU, every single staff member treated us as if we were the only ones in the hospital, pouring out love at every moment. We are grateful beyond words!Erik Baughman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe nurses and doctors were unbelievably friendly and attentive to our every need. This was our second baby, first baby was at another local hospital and our experience at Cast Rock was light years better. Very large rooms, amazing food and every single person on staff who we dealt with was a 5 star employee!! One charge nurse, Ashley deserved 10 stars if that was a possible rating, stayed past her shift to help answer questions and to check in with us, along with having a great personality and kind heart!! THANK YOU!!!!!Sean Burrows⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAfter having a nightmare of an experience with our first child at a well known hospital in Lone Tree, Castle Rock Adventist was a Godsend! We had a great birth and the day staff was awesome!! The night staff could use a morale boost, but otherwise, the overall experience was 5 stars!!!Helene Causey⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy daughter had a baby – delivered last Saturday. Daryn – our nurse (hope I spelled her name right) took the best care of my daughter. So relaxing… I like her first statement, “So what are you here for :)?” She made us feel at home and welcome! Daryn is very attentive and the hospital is so peaceful! Usually when I walk into a hospital I feel like germs are all over me. Not here at Castle Rock Adventist, very clean. The midwives did an excellent job. Thank you all for making her stay very comfortable. Thank you all for your excellent bedside manners. This is how ALL hospital should be run! God bless you all! Thank youRandy Swenson⭐️⭐️The nurses and care were fine. The checkout procedure is horrible. Almost 2 hours later and still waiting for doctors to sign off on the discharge. Now they want to do more tests. Our doctor authorized discharge. We want to go.Mackenzie Osbaugh⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI delivered my first baby here and it was the greatest care I could have asked for! The patient care, staff, location, service and restaraunt are all so wonderful! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I had amazing care throughout the whole process, they helped answer all the questions that I had and walked me through care for the baby. Every member of the staff is very friendly, personable and informative.Fouad GraouiTheir emergency staff are not on a level of professionalism. Specially the triage people. They do not even want to listen to what you want to say. All they want to do is to get you to a room so you can get charged an arm & leg for the servises you don’t need. Will never go back to that place. Too bad, that people who supposed to be so compassionate and show some care, they don’t. Also, you will be seen by only a (PA) physician assistants and no doctors. Good luck going there.Sara Hetterle⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have recently delivered my child at Castle Rock Hospital. I just want to say that the entire L&D unit was amazing. All the nurses and caregivers on day and night shift are amazing people; so kind and caring and the whole place was clean. It amazed me to see nurses actually cleaning the floors after a spill or taking the garbage out of the room (not calling environmental services) . I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I have had both my children at Castle Rock and although I was amazed by my 1st experience my 2nd experience was that much better. The post partum care was great. Lactation consultant came to visit (which I was not provided the 1st time around). I cant say enough good things about this place. BIG THANKS to EVERYONE! Thanks, SaraJerry Persall⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGot my first CT scan yesterday at medical imaging in the hospital. Wonderful people! Very professional and very friendly. Helped make my trip through the “stargate” pleasant and almost non- eventful. Very relaxing and easy peasy.AL MSo much less than the experience they sell you. This place is for profit, they are so blinded by money they can’t even slightly focus on the comfort of new mothers. No one cares, just understand this. Your good nurses likely suffer watching you despair. I’ll post a more in depth review later. They gave inaccurate results for my baby on 3 separate tests, raising my stress and anxiety levels for no reason. Due to their malfunctioning equipment. Weight was taken wrong. Blood Oxygen was miscalculated by machine. Hearing test was wrong. All had to be redone -_- They have tempurpedic toppers that they won’t offer you until you’re an hour away from leaving the hospital early. Thank GOD my Doctors cleared us to leave early Mike Sajdak⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI worked with Deanne Tisdel in the ER and I can’t overstate how awesome she was and is. Her professionalism and willingness to help was beyond belief. I am so incredibly grateful that she was there when we arrived at the Castle Rock hospital ER. Thank you!!!Missy Ryan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI recently delivery my baby at this hospital and had the best care I could of ever had. They made me feel so welcome from the minute I walked through the door until I left a couple days later. They answered every question I had and was very well trained. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.John Westwood⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe ER staff are great. Hospital has a nice birthing center. I’ve enjoyed the cafeteria/restaurant thing.Sabrina Martin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI recently had a surgical procedure here. The nurses were wonderfully. They were so friendly and put me at ease. The doctor and anesthesiologist were very informative and took their time answering questions. The day after my surgery they called to make sure I was doing well and to see if I had questions. thank you to all the staff!N KUC Health doctors are entirely more educated. Come here if you want to be told you MUST take medication you are allergic to. No one (I have experienced) charts accurately here either. Oh and if you have any chronic illnesses EXPECT to be treated like a drug addict instead of someone who actually needs help.Lauren Chansky⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWhen I had my cesarean I was so well taken care of by all the nurses in L&D. They were all there to help me recover every step of the way. They became family for the four days that I was there. I am so impressed by the big hearts and would use them over and over for care with a new Baby. Thank you all!!!TJ Houck⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWife had a scheduled C-section. Overall the doctor, nurses, and staff were great. The experience was smooth and all the advice they gave was fantastic. It really helped us learn how to handle our little kiddo when various techniques were not working for us.Bk Greek__god16Go anywhere but here for after hours/emergency care if you can. My total bill was over $7,000.00 and aside from the wait, I was only there for a very short period time. They charged me $4,567.40 just to walk through their doors. If you are able to drive the extra few minutes to Sky Ridge, do it!Kyle WilliamsI was mistreated my Dr chipiska and the nurse supervisor horribly. First the doctor gets upset with me because I had asked why wasn’t I nor my mother asked when she was changing if it was ok to be in there, when I’m having terrible separation anxiety because this the 4th time this month she had to come back to this hospital for dislocating her hip. They do not know how close we are they just went ahead and kicked me out for the 2nd time. Finally after 15 minutes I got back in but the second I got in they needed an xray so I couldn’t vent to my mother about how rude this doctor was to me. So I had made the mistake while i was outside her room venting to a kind EMS worker who asked if there’s anything I can do for you. So after that, mind you, it was dead silent so everyone in the ER heard me. So they decided to get the nurse supervisor. He was so hyper active and controlling of the situation, making biased statements for example “it’s as if you were making a threat telling the EMS worker you had filed a report on a nurse who was so rude to you if you were to come in again the nurses would be hesitant to treat you” when that a legal protocol for a patient or a vistor to do! And also when I had told him I really don’t feel comfortable coming back here he got very defensive as if I had no right to my own opinion. I had kept reminding him it wouldn’t have gotten to where it did if the Dr would have just accepted my apology when I didn’t even need to apologize in the first place, I just wanted peace.Debi Angelotti⭐️⭐️I haven’t even gone there yet and already I’m disappointed. I have to go for an MRI and a bone density test. I have a problem with extremely low blood pressure. I am feeling very dizzy and lightheaded today and very unsteady on my feet. I called to see if there was valet parking. NO I explained my situation to the volunteers and they couldn’t help me. I really don’t want to go there now and I’m supposed to have surgery there. I am really not looking forward to it!! Very disappointed,!!Brian S⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad an MRI today with Alaina and it was a very comfortable and quick experience. Thanks so much for making it sure easy!CJ Braccia⭐️⭐️One good nurse. That’s all. I went in for rabies protocol, after being bit by a stray dog. Waited forever for them to take me into the outpatient room. I have seen a lot of doctors, and the doctor I saw here was by far the worse and rudest ever. She saw us once then never again, when she saw us she was short and didn’t explain what was going to happen. The next time she saw us was when we said we are going to deny care from this hospital, and either go to another hospital or look at other options. She came quickly that time. To only be short and rude with us again. Then they came in with 7 needles after telling me I’d only need two shots. I had already received one of the two. I looked away from them while giving me the shots and the one nurse grabbed my hand fast and hard so I pulled away slightly. He proceeded to tell at me because they are using needles and that is unsafe. All I asked for was for them to tell me before they grab me when I’m not looking. He continued yelling until the other nurse was visibly uncomfortable. I ended up going into shock from the 7 shots. Four of which into the thumb. However, that one nurse was amazing and he helped a lot. He was funny and nice. The front desk lady also helped. So for those two stars for the ER department.Saralynn Culberson⭐️⭐️I came into the hospital at about 3 am in very much active labor at the front desk where we were greeted in the middle of 3 minute apart contractions I was asked if I had my down payment of $ 500 dollars, which we were never notified such a payment was needed which was very off putting. My husband didn’t have his full wallet just ids and insurance card which were in the hospital bag. I remind you again this is in the middle of the night rushing into the hospital to have a baby we aren’t clearly thinking to grab everything.she bargained with my husband back and forth asking what did we have or she was not going to let us go to labor and delivery. We finally got into the room after we agreed my mother in law would bring some money when she gets there, it was my husband, daughter, and 1 year old son in the room, its 3 am we did not have time to find a babysitter, anyway I am in active labor they’re trying to give me an epidural and my 1 year old son bonked his head and started to cry, we’re trying to comfort him when a nurse came in snapping saying people are trying to rest dont you have a baby sitter, he was hurt and needed comfort, my heart rate went through the roof they kept saying they were not sure why and I needed an ekg hmm I wonder why from the second we walked in I didn’t feel welcomed or that it was a comfortable or safe environment to have my baby. The ekgs guy came in which at that point my son was asleep next to me in the hospital bed and my heart rate was back to normal ranges, she came an hour later and we were discharged the next day. Very disappointed, I will not deliver there in the future and would advise others with families not to either.Shy Daire⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThank you to the amazing Birth Place staff members who worked with us during our extended time here at Castle Rock Adventist! We had the pleasure of having doctors Maxwell, Schmitt, Chu and Milobsky to help us with our baby boy. My little family and I would like to acknowledge the phenomenal nursing staff that assisted us during the start of this new journey. Thank you Chelsea, Kathy, Stephanie, Jane, Ejass, Kourtney, Kodi, and Angel. Paul the Anesthesiologist was also amazing! This amazing staff provided the best experience we could have imagined. Not only did we recieve excellent patient care, but each person played an essential role in educating us for the journey we are embarking on. We are truly now and forever greatful. Sincerely, The Daire FamilyLucy G.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedProfessional and knowledgeable nurses and doctors. The front desk lady who checks you in at the ER is very compassionate. Glad we have this hospital in CR!Mary Lou Fenton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy daughter recently spent over 2 weeks at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital, most of that time in ICU on a ventilator. As my husband and I have had time to reflect on what was one of the scariest events of our lives, I have to say we feel blessed to have been at Castle Rock Adventist during that time. We were so impressed with the compassionate care and expertise of all of the medical staff. When you spend that much time in ICU you see a lot! God bless those Critical Care doctors, ICU nurses, respiratory therapists and technicians who, not only provide intense care for their patients, but demonstrate sensitivity and kindness to their frightened family members. Our daughter has made a miraculous recovery and we owe a debt of gratitude to these wonderful men and women who served as God’s instruments in the process.Bill Serowka⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe ED staff was wonderful!Vicki Usher⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad emergency surgery. Everyone there was quick to get things done and very nice. Very clean and efficent.Dave S⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff taking care of my family member on acute care were all great. Very happy with the care they gotRaegan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI would give more then 5 stars if I could! The doctor, nurses, and anesthesiologist for my procedure were absolutely wonderful!Ryenne FolmarThey held Me against my will and gave me drugs that I didn’t need. They took my food out of the trash and put it back on my tray when they realized that I was still eating. They don’t know how to put in an IV TO SAVE A LIFE. I got stabbed in 7 different places before they could find one that would work and then the nurse accidentally ripped it out of my arm. They have zero respect For their patients. They are always playing on their phones and ignoring requests. And I’ve been here for 2 days and have yet to see a doctor. DO NOT come here. They’ll make you wish you’d just stayed home and rode out whatever ailment you have. Castle rock Adventist hospital is by far the worst medical facility I’ve ever stepped foot in.Barbara ClarkRun away as fast as you can, go anywhere but here! The billing process is atrocious and it is way over priced! It is over $5,000 just to walk in the ER door- doesn’t matter what they do or how long you stay. I was traveling and ended up needing to go to the ER for the flu, it has been a nightmare to get the bill paid as they are so over priced. the ER doc saw me maybe for a total of 10 minutes and I got a bill for over $7000– totally ridiculous! not to mention that they had me sit and wait for hours before discharging me b/c the Dr got caught up with another patient. Next time I will drive the extra miles to a different hospital!!Sara FrewMy Doctor told me to go to the ER for continous stomach pains. I saw the Dr for less than five minutes. Saw a nurse for less than ten minutes in my two hour wait. They did nothing at all except refer me to a specialist and have me give a urine sample that was still there, untested, when they discharged me. Today I got a bill from a collection agency for an amount that I had NEVER been billed for previously. I should not have gotten a bill at all for the amount of assistance given. I will be checking my credit, and if it has affected my credit then I will be researching who I can report this to. I’m sure there is someone. Stay far away from this place.Jean Dorado⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy mother was very ill, and spent two months in the hospital. The staff were patient, helpful, and really helped her recover. Thank you.Debby JordanThis is an awful hospital. Awful awful awful.Brandi Graham⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to the e.r. with a frightening health event, and the entire staff was wonderful, attentive, listened to my symptoms, and attended immediately to everything that I needed. They explained my condition in a way that I understood what was happening, and ran a few tests to rule out complications. This was also the first pain free IV line and lab draw that I’ve ever received. The emergency room facilities are very clean. I felt comfortable and safe here. If ten stars were in option, I would give 10.Arturo UrquijoToday my Ex had an allergic reaction one of the ladies called from the front desk call in Triage. The lady at Triage basically it’s not a big deal my ex looked like a, ghost she could barely speak took them 15 mins to see her. Couple of hours later her boyfriend calls to say the she had been ommited now all the doctors came in only to find out that she had an infection that was potentially spreading to her kidneys and through her blood stream. I’m mainly upset at the fact that they did not take it serious enough, asking her questions she could barley answer. Was not a good experience at all. Admin call me if you want to know more about this particular situation and experience we had today.Bill O’Connell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was a patient here from March 3rd through the 7th, with acute respiratory failure. Every contact beginning with the ER through discharge was handled professionally and courteously. I was on the third floor so most of my contacts were with the nursing staff there. I cannot remember all the names (15-20) but all were great, including the doctors. Of course I’d prefer not to be hospitalized in the future but if I was I know I would be well cared for at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital.Shanell Moore⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had surgery there yesterday and the entire team was amazing! It started with the volunteers at the front desk and the registration. Once I got to the OR I was greeted by Mary, my pre-op nurses who were so kind and reassuring! My post op nurse took great care of me as well! Surgery of any kind is scary and this team made it a great experience!Sandy Kalisch⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedKaity in CT scan is awesomeSydney SharkeyAVOID AT ALL COSTS. I thought these reviews were kind of a joke but they are not. This hospital has the worst staff and absolutely no professional etiquette.Raina IrvinHORRIBLE EXPERIANCE. Sat in the emergency waiting room for 3 hours just to leave because they still had over a hour wait. Good thing I wasnt dying.Rachel Austin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had my total knee replacement here in Jan 2019 – every part of the stay & experience was EXCELLENT. The preop was very thorough & well organized, the check-in & paperwork was short & easy, the OR nurses & staff were very pleasant/professional/comforting, my doctors were amazing, my care on the floor for the couple of nights I was there was exceptional at all times – and the hospital was immaculate. I went home with no problems whatsoever, and the hospital called & checked on me consistently. I recuperated with Castle Rock Centura physical therapy next door – they did a great job making sure I was exactly where I needed to be with movement & activity. I don’t know how I could have had a better experience with this surgery – I highly recommend this hospital & the entire Centura Castle Rock Orthopedic & Rehab group.Brian NavaLessons learned while attempting to have my daughter treated for severe multiple dog bites. I will never take anyone to this hospital again and recommend for anyone to do the same. We waited in the ER for several hours without them assessing her injuries. I discussed the triage process with the head nurse which I understand but they didn’t assess her injuries to take the proper care. We took her to sky ridge and they immediately assessed her injuries and she was treated with the care needed.Lisa SchremsI accompanied my friend to the ER over the weekend. The nurses and Dr’s were fine but my complaint is the bathroom in the ER – It was beyond gross! There was dried urine, blood smeared, fecal matter and that’s just what I could see …. the smell was awful! I can’t believe that it was in this condition considering hospitals should be absolutely sterile due to spread of disease and other illnesses to their patients and visitors. I would expect more from this hospital.Matt Franken⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedvery nice Hospital very careing staff and very cleanpAtRiCiA zDzIaRsKiworst experience ever in the Emergency department.!! Went to the ED at the request of my Dr 5 days post surgery due to a fever. The dirty in-room bathroom with the last person’s gown and used urine wipe laying around is normal because they only clean them once and day. Nurse was rude and was frustrated I couldnt move fast after having surgery 5 days earlier. But since she said she wasn’t, it didn’t happen. The same nurse told me to “strip” and didn’t give me privacy. She said I should have asked. Vials of blood laying in my room with the doors open even when they took me out of the room. Said that’s normal practice. But best of all the IV with the contrast dye exploded all over me and they never stopped the test, kept going, and even continued a second test area while the dye dripped from the machine in my face. The tech said the insertion of the IV was odd and had never seen it like that before. Eventhough I was soaked and covered from head to waist in liquid I should be happy because my body got enough dye. But since everyone there claimed they did nothing wrong they gave me $15 to the hospital cafeteria.ColorBombDoesThingsWent to the ER and was there for about 40 minutes only to be told that they don’t know what to do and referred me to a different doctor. If that was it that would be just a normal ER visit but when i went to the payment they charged me 1800 dollars!!! Who can honestly charge that much only to be told they don’t know what to do and to send me on my way only to have to return to see a different doctor with another charge. Ridiculous! The only way i’m going back to that Hospital is in an ambulance!Ruby WhiteheadMisdiagnosed my son and literally made up that they saw something that was never there. He ended up going to children’s and receiving proper diagnoses and care there. Avoid this place.Carlos Manso⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe had a baby at this hospital and the treatment we received from the staff is beyond perfection. I’m very happy that my son spent the first two days of his life at this hospital. Thanks for everything!James Budwell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have had three kids at this hospital. Everyone was awesome!Tara Hart⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff checked in on me more than once every hour. Asked me if I needed anything like food and water and gave me my medicine on time every time. Very sweet people also!LR C⭐️⭐️I was really hoping I could finally say I’d had a quality experience at a hospital, being my first time in Castle Rock. There truly is no excuse for any poor review. I had surgery here, just last week. I had the unfortunate experience with a nurse (Amy) at my Pre op appointment, which dragged on for 3 freaking hours. After she noted the organized typed list I brought with me of all my necessary info, she claimed – “I’m surprised your not dead” I could have walked out right then, but I had been trying to get this surgery over with for 5 months because of other health issues. So I told myself to grin and bear it. Instead of just entering the neatly typed list she made me read it to her and she BUTCHERED it in my records. I explained to her I had severe issues with my veins and IV’s and blood draws. Her “30 years of experience as a nurse” as she told me 4 times proved that she couldn’t draw blood from freshly dead animal and BLAMED ME because “I moved”. She did in fact tell her co-worker who I assume was some kind of supervisor, about my veinous issues. I had been begging for weeks for someone to hear me. My doctors office, every person I came in contact with – please hear me. It became an argument for about 10 mins with this “supervisor” and she then told me she called a specialist that would be there on my surgery day. I realize now that was a lie. On surgery day, the nurses weren’t the worst Ive dealt with, but I’ll never let another one smirk at me, argue, deny, or act like I’m ridiculous when I say – I have serious issues with IV’s. I will have to carry proof of it with me, because your word just don’t mean sh*t. Its obvious it DOESN’T when the first place they attempted an IV is the one place I said repeatedly “DOESN’T WORK!” But thanks for gauging it and making it worse. That was awesome. I also had to do quite a bit of foot work prior to this surgery to get records because Amy couldn’t make a simple call herself to my doctor. She point blank argued and insisted that “my doctor was refusing to help her” NOT true. I had 2 different people from 2 different sources send her (SPECIFICALLY AT THE FAX NUMBER SHE GAVE ME) the records she wanted and they STILL didn’t have it on surgery day. Like I said – wish I could say was a good experienceAmanda BrowneI am absolutely disgusted with this hospital. They cannot/ refuse to perform basic testing. Husband was leaking a clear fluid out his nose and me (with no medical background) was the only one questioning why they didn’t take a sample of the fluid. The first doctor was convinced a high glucose level in the liquid was all he needed to diagnose the liquid as cerebral spinal fluid. The second doctor (shift change) said the exact opposite but did nothing further to diagnose the problem. He merely discharged my husband with a runny nose diagnosis and a need to follow up with an ENT during the week. The level of professionalism and care that these ‘medical provider’s’ give is truly appalling. If your loved one is sick you are better off going anywhere else. We went to an ear nose and throat doctor down in Colorado Springs and he was diagnosed with a spinal fluid leak.. It is very concerning that this hospital could not properly diagnose something so serious.Michele BradburyNever again will I or anyone in my family go to this ER. My daughter checked in with severe abdominal pain and chest pain. We were put in the very last room in the hallway by an outside emergency exi
