Before you go to Centura Health 84th Avenue, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Westminster emergency room think.
Typhany KDO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!! BEWARE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT MONEY! My boyfriend injured his knee and we went to this hospital. The only staff that cared to talk to us was the one trying to collect money. The doctor sounded like he was talking from a script. We were there for hours and they have him about 5 minutes of attention then sent him home. We went somewhere else and found out he tore every ligament in his knee and needed surgery immediately.Eric LamannaTold me that my child’s skin condition was untreatable and there was no need to test because they knew what it was without testing… a week later, no progress, took her elsewhere… not only was this ER incorrect in ASSUMING what was wrong, they told her she should not go to school as she was EXTREMELY CONTAGIOUS… my kid has gone untreated, ashamed of her skin and missed school all on an assumption without testing from this facility. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED AND WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE PRACTICE.Lanii M.⭐️⭐️My doctor is great, but the woman who faces the door for entry at the front desk needs some major work. Very unprofessional and has a terrible attitude. She should have had a few jobs in customer service before this one. Awful, and the ONLY reason I never want to return.Andrea LeighWe were visiting Denver and were taken to this facility after my husband severely hurt his ankle at a water park. We thought for sure his ankle was fractured. His pain was unbearable and the swelling in his foot was quite impressive. After getting X-rays, the provider finally gave him some ice for his foot and ibuprofen and Tylenol for pain. That’s it! They do nothing to actually control any form of pain. The nurse shrugged her shoulders and treated us like we were drug searching when we asked for something stronger. I was told by a charge nurse even if it’s a fracture, the ER physicians do not prescribe any opioid narcotics. “We are in an opioid crisis” they say. They do not take case by case or situation by situation. It’s a hard “NO”. My husband now has to sit on a plane in 8/10 pain. I’m sorry but a 2 day supply of Vicodin, enough to make a plane ride more tolerable is not going to cause a person to get addicted to opioids. This treatment is cruel and this facility needs to reevaluate their treatment plan…especially if the ER bill is $1200!!!Sasha HernandezWorst hospital ever been to I have not ever been so disrespected by a nurse they’re usually sweet ladies but I had an incident with this lady would not let me feed my daughter or my wife from their nourishment fridge raider they did not have a cafeteria where I could purchase food for my family I asked and tried never felt so mad in my life I was told I couldn’t feed my kid and they try to throw me out with security watch handle this GreatTarre SmithWe went there last night when I discovered my husband having an allergic reaction to some medicine he had been improperly prescribed by a Kaiser doctor, but Kaiser was already closed. His breathing was shallow, his fever was up to 102.7, he was bright red from toes to head and scared me to death. First they wouldn’t let us even in to the emergency room until the security guard snooped through every pocket of my purse, my husband emptied his pockets and we both went through the security machine. I’m nearly seventy, he is 63, we are NOT gang members, nor do we resemble a gang member. His face was so swollen you could hardly see his eyes, he was bright red, hot hot hot, hobbling along on his bad leg, but he’s a gentle soul and wouldn’t complain if he were taking his last breath and let the smart mouth not-good-enough-to-be-a-real-cop security guard talk down to him and hold him back from getting in to the room and requesting help. Once we finally got through that mess, the nurse was told we were having an emergency, she said something smart like, “well, you’ll have to wait your turn,” and took a woman who was limping, over to her window and proceeded to ignore us for twenty minutes. I’m so sorry for the woman limping and I sincerely hope she wasn’t in pain, but limping is not on death’s door, like an allergic reaction to poison medicine can be. My husband could have died. They had no idea how bad it was because no one took the time to even look at him. After twenty minutes I took the paper back that I had filled out, even though the security guard told me I could absolutely NOT have that paper back — you know damned well if I had left it there they would have billed us for a $5,000 emergency room visit — and we got out of there and drove all the way up to 120th and Grant to SCL Emergency where we went right in and he was taken care of immediately with a benedryl shot to slow down the reaction. Damn those people at Centura, that place should not even be open, the security guard should be fired for her smart mouth and the nurse should be fired for her incompetence. How much do you all want to bet that they respond with the same copy and paste response that they automatically give every one of the reviews.Denise Romero⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent to emergency. Very nice and thorough staff.Kayla Von⭐️⭐️This place is hit and miss. I’ve been coming here for years and the staff is usually very friendly but a lot of time the doctors aren’t very helpful. I came in once while having a gallbladder attack as well as pain from my huge kidney stone (they did tests and confirmed it was happening) and made me sit there crying and begging for some type of meds for pain relief for 2 HOURS. It wasn’t until I started screaming and threatening to take my IV out and go to a hospital that will actually help did they finally give me something. The last time I went I had slipped on ice and broke my wrist and dislocated my knee. They put soft bandages on both, told me to take Tylenol and gave me a pamphlet on opioid addiction.Woe NellieI’ll save at least a few people the hassle. I was calling around and this place were triple if not more expensive than triple of everything else I was calling. Yikes!! Glad she told me about all the hidden fees that could be tacked on to an urgent care appointmentR W⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat staff. Especially imagingRaul CanoCalled many times and talked to the receptionist, in need of Ambulance information to get the bill paid. She transferred my call to medical records department and they were no help. Talked to release of information department Renae M.; explained the situation and she just hung up two times on me saying they cant help with that information. The second time I talked to her, I told her “I really need to get this bill paid but all i know is the patient was transferred by ambulance here and if their is any other number she can give me to get further assistance” she said no and hung up. So i still cant figure out the Ambulance services Neighborhood Health Center 2551 W 84th Ave Westminster, CO uses. Cant figure out how to get help in regards to getting this ambulance bill paid. All I know the Ambulance transported the patient to this hospital from a motor vehicle accident, and cant seem to get an invoice to pay.DEE VITA⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe are always in and out, the staff always put their whole heart and love in their Job, I couldn’t be more thankful for this place!!Jeb Wilkerson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI took a trip to the ER here on a Saturday night. The staff were all very friendly and caring, and when I asked for a pillow, the doctor actually was the one to bring me one. Even when I was a little cranky, they were extremely understanding, and they worked until I felt better. I don’t want to go back to the hospital, but if I had to, I would definitely go back here. A big thank you to all of the staff, nurses and doctor.SableDoes not exist. The staff took him in and he was immediately treated. The healthcare professionals here took very good care of my dad and they were super friendly and answered any questions I had. I’m so grateful for them and would recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical services.Charles Kingsbury⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Easy accessMohamed Kariyeh⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGood place and nice staff.River RunsDo not go to the clinic on 84th. Respectfully, they treat us “marginalized people.” You get what you pay for. Since we are the marginal people in society, we get marginal care. Where in the hell do these docs come from? They are rude, judgmental, they don’t hear a thing you say. Listening is a skill. Well, one of their docs almost killed me. It created a forever serious condition that I’m going to have to live with or die by. When their ego comes before patient care, there is a major problem. I think these marginal docs come from marginal schools. They do not care about patients. I doubt this gets printed due to it being such a serious thing. But look how low this clinic is rated and it keeps doing the same thing over and over and over. It looks like any “normal” management team would try to make it better. Clearly, no one has attempted to make it better. Therefore, I put this forward, shouldn’t this clinic just be closed down???? Especially when it comes to major medical mistakes, such as taking a person’s life simply because a doctor had a larger ego and could not hear a damned word said. The public will never know how many people these doctors kill. And this won’t get printed as they don’t’ print intelligent, well read critics. It threatens them and they might have to change. SHAME ON YOU DOCTORS, UGH!Sherry HennebornWorst standard of care EVERMartin Graham⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedPretty easy going but it is an ER so it can change.Ali ValdezIf I could give this hospital a negative rating I would. At least the emergency room and all the staff that works there. They were snooty and I felt like they were bothered the whole time I was there. The nicest one out of all of them of course was the lady that had to get insurance info so they could charge 600 dollars to check my ears if you come here for help and your in pain you’ll jut leave with a headache, unresolved pain and wasted time. Just posting so nobody else has to sit in pain and waste their time here.Athena TreeIf I could rate it 0 I would. When I arrived at the ER there were no people in the waiting room and I still waited half an hour to be seen. Waited another half an hour to see a doctor who spent 5 whole minutes with me and in that time managed to yell at me for moving away – she was rough handling me and I was in pain. I then waited another HOUR just to get a prescription as they told me that they could do nothing for me and I needed to see a primary care physician – this is after i told them the wait time to see one would be 2.5 weeks. I spent more time with the hospitals billing coordinator, which tells me they definitely care more about money than care. I wound up going to North Suburban after I finally escaped this hospital, as I did not feel right and was in massive pain. Thankfully I did! I was treated with compassion as well as diagnosed. They told me that my condition would have worsened and could have caused permanent damage had I waited the 2.5 weeks to see a doctor. What is worse, the prescription I waited over an hour to get, the doctor at North Suburban told me would have done me absolutely no good for my condition. I wasted 2 hours of my life and I am sure thousands of dollars for nothing. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone, go to North Suburban if you value your health/life.Cecilia Hill⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI received quick response when i entered the ER. They did an ultrasound after a few minutes then transferred me to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Thornton where i received excellent treatment by their Family Med Team. They called in a GI doctor and my cancer center doctor for diagnoses to come up with a treatment plan for me. I have never experienced that caliber of care before. When I left after a number of procedures and tests I felt totally taken care and I appreciate that so very much. Thank you!icebrg24The physicians at this health center are notorious for doing the very least in the way of actually giving medical treatment to patients. If you go to this ER, you can expect the very bare minimum of care to be delivered. The knowledge of the physician’s is limited. I suggest going a few miles down the road to North Suburban for care if you want reliable and thorough medical care.Arizbel LyI should of read the reviews before coming here. Today I came in for flu like symptoms and dizziness. I got there at 12:30pm. And left at 4!!!! I didnt get any assistance until 3:15!!! Almost 3 hrs just to get assistance! Plus the nurse didnt know how to put in an I.V. 2nd, the registration lady said that I had to pay a $30 copay and charged an unauthorized amount of $500 and then left because it was the end of her shift. Never will I ever come back here!!! By the way, the waiting room was EMPTY so there was no need for all the wait!Lisette DeGroote⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI moved to Colorado at the end of 2012 and was really nervous about finding a new hospital and doctor for my first pregnancy. I absolutely LOVE this hospital! My doctor is Dr. Schaalman and she is so amazing, caring, understanding and really puts my needs and concerns first. When I toured the labor & delivery ward I was beyond thrilled. Each room has it’s own rocking chair and jetted tub to help ease labor pains! Also the ER rooms are literally right across from the delivery rooms in the event an emergency c-section was needed, that saves valuable seconds! Every nurse I had while I was in labor was so nice and again, made my needs and concerns their top priority. They responded quickly to my calls and supported me when I was in a lot of pain and scared. I would definitely recommend this hospital for their birth center in a heart beat and hope to have my next child here 🙂 Random plus, the food was delicious!Leland E Barber⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery helpful and not very busy ERMarcie HoffmanThe Drs are rude n don’t care about the people. I’ve had 3 awful experiences here and unless I’m dying I won’t go again. They don’t even have an ultrasound tech or care if your in pain. Go somewhere else.Terrell E. Stephenson Jr.I went into this good forbidden place, I was feeling very I’ll, had several liesions that were infected, these people stereotyped me as a drug addict, wrote me 2 prescriptions and said to go. They didn’t even offer to clean the wounds, and didn’t even give me any bandages, not even a bandaid, I put one star only because I had to. I would not recommend this place at all, they were rude and very very disrespectful!Romeo RedwillowCost me $3900 for 12 stitches. Entered my name wrong. Got two bills from 2 different companies for this visit. One from Centura Health and the other from US Acute Care Solutions. When I asked the doctor and nurses how much the stitches would cost me i was told I DONT KNOW three times. I dont know which of the two bills i should pay. I already payed off Centura. At the time of the visit I had no Insurance. I do know that no matter how severe my injury is I will never go to any hospital ever. Especially after my visit here.Ariel WeisI went in today to get my broken toe checked. I automatically noticed the security and metal detector to go into the hospital. Then I go to the back pretty quickly. The x-ray tech came in the room with a portable machine. She almost dropped the pad for under my foot on my hurt toe. I shrugged it off, I over heard she was new. Then they nurse comes back to tape my toe while I know a broken toe there isn’t much to do but she barely taped it and didn’t even put gaze between my toe, I came home, redid it myself and wish I wouldn’t have wasted 2 hours of my life.RANDY GOMEZ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The DMV got pretty fast over thereShaneMost all the staff were kind and helpful, including my doctor, Dr Vellman. I was dehydrated though and while waiting on the doctor to check my syptoms of whiplash after someone ran into my car i sought out something to drink. I was scolded by the head nurse and rudely demanded to return to my bed that i could not have a drink of anything because I may need testing. I had whiplash not Ebola. This woman so used to ordering people around was greatly offended when I went and got my own glass of water saying she was going to make my visit take longer. She then had me surrounded by angry guards with tazers as if me chosing to cure my own thirst with h2o was anarchy and dangerous to the whole place. While I then waited for my discharge papers I clearly overheard this same woman discussing a child patient and their unfit parents with another nurse. I dont know if what she was saying was true but i get worried when as a patient im hearing scandolous gossip about other patients even just during a short visit. When one of her kinder underlings offered me a cold pack for my shoulder and the visible pain I was in she told him not to bring me one still upset I dared defy her.Rosa Mejia-Perez – CDHSDisgustingly poor customer serviceTzipora Maysen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve been to this location many a time under the care of the crisis center and have to say they are unforgettable. I feel like they actually make a connection to their patients and give them everything at their disposal to help them when they send them on their way. Special thanks to Alex, David, Corey, and Madeline.Julir WierMy daughter has Multiple Sclerosis, her doctor retired, so she went here for care. They treated her like crap! She has been on the same medication for 6 years and they refused to give it to her, even when they had her records from her other doctor. She also was diagnosed with P.T.S.D. and High Anxiety. Hey refused to give her the routine medication for all 3 of her illnesses! What a joke! They treated her like a drug addict! How sad! She couldn’t eat, sleep, go out in public, or function normally!!! Horrible way to treat people! Especially with a debilitating disease!!!!!Rebecca Salas⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedTook my little boy to the ER. They were amazing, caring and took excellent care of us. Thank you ER team for your amazing hard work. Thank you front desk team and Triage Nurse for making my son smile. Thank you for saving him.Kimberlee Aragon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in on Wednesdays early evening crying in pain thought I was have a heart attack or something . I couldn’t move in couldn’t breath with resuming in pain. They took me right back to a room and got started working on me. I had to wait about 20 minutes before they could give me anything for pain. I guess you see what was going on first. And way the nurse there was amazing the guy nurse that had to put a other iv in so they could to a CT scan . Wish I knew ewe there names but they where awesome. The guy has full sleeves tats and used this this the was a vain finder kinda of like a wall stud finder lol but they took such good care of me. When they could give me pain meds they made sure that I was not in any pain an when it started to come back they gave me more. Turned out I had double pneumonia pretty bad to. Then they transferred me to the new north hospital st Anthony’s up north then u had the worse experience of my life with a hospital. But thank you to the nurse and do tired that took care of me while in the ER AT LEASTFatima HurtadoSuch a terrible experience… hope I don’t have to go there again. I went there because it was the closest to where I had my car accident. They were rude saying you are welcome to wait or if you feel good you can leave When the only thing I wanted it was for them to listen to my baby’s heart rate and never did. stating they were busy with more emergency patients 🙁 so I guess I was not that important to them being pregnant and in the emergency room.(of course we left and my ob gyn was able to see me thank God right after).OlyCH craft hacker unipug⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe attendance was fast and they take care of my daughter so well that I’m really thankful for they service.Grace FrankovichAS A 30- PLUS YEARS EMERGENCY ROOM NURSE, I ASK: WHAT ARE THOSE “RANCH HANDS” NURSES DOING IN THAT EMERGENCY ROOM, ALONG SIDE OF THOSE GREAT DOCTORS?Isaiah Moreno⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFractured my ankle and got quick great care everyone was nice and polite and service was greatNick AndalexI have been to St. Anthony’s North hospital on West 84th many times over the past 4 years for a variety of reasons and was always, always, treated with compassion and respect by a doctor who really listened to what was going on with me. That all changed tonight. Dr. Jeffrey Woo walked in, introduced himself, looked in my mouth, asked what pain meds worked for me and when I told him, he said I was not getting that and walked out. That took all of 30 seconds. Almost 2 hours later, still sitting in a room crying my eyes out from the pain in a dead ER a nurse comes in to take my BP and tells me the doctor is discharging me. When I said that I came in for nothing she said the doctor wrote 2 prescriptions (with nowhere to fill them at 2:30 in the morning), for the EXACT same antibiotic and pain med that my dentist had given me earlier Tuesday. It was very clear he did not read the nurses notes or he would not have prescribed the exact same meds. I told the nurse I wanted to see the doctor again. When he came in he was rude and totally dismissive of what my husband and I were saying, and had a huge attitude like I was wasting his time and was some drug addict looking for a fix. He stood there repeating that I wasn’t getting the pain med that I told him works for me when he asked even though I had only answered his question on what pain med works best for me. I didn’t insist on that one pain med, I did not ask for it, I simply answered his question on what one works best for me and added “or anything else that would stop the pain, let me sleep and not upset my stomach any more than it was”. We asked him more than once why he prescribed the same exact meds as the dentist and each time got the same answer, you aren’t getting the pain med I said works best for me totally ignoring the fact that I had also said “or anything else that will stop the pain, let me get a night’s sleep and not hurt my stomach” AND ignored our question. All he was focused on was not giving me the one pain med, and if he had looked at my chart he would have known I was NOT a frequent flyer looking for a high. I would have been totally fine with just getting a heavy duty shot to get me through the night until I could get back into the dentist. Instead I paid $75 to be rudely treated like a drug addict by an uncaring doctor with a stick up his ass who did not listen and made assumptions instead of reading my chart. So here I am, night 3 with yet again no sleep, extreme pain off the charts, a pain med that I cannot take, an anxiety attack from this visit, and two prescriptions that I should not have been given. I don’t know what the hell his problem was but it was enough to ensure that neither my husband nor I will never go to St. Anthony’s North again. If we need to visit the ER anytime in the future we’ll be going to North Suburban. Both my husband and I left detailed messages for the Administrative Director of the ER and expect to hear back from her later today. I want an apology, and I want assurance that Dr. Jeffrey Woo will not be allowed to make assumptions and mistreat any more patients like he did me.Bernadette Crafty Gal⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have been coming since I was a child. Have always received good care for me and my family.Adam FogelBoth times we have been here the response to anything has been UNBELIEVABLE SLOW!!! After reading other reviews, I would have to agree the perception that no one really cares is everywhere in this hospital.Denver 303⭐️⭐️Very good doctors not only where they ride but walked out in the middle of a conversation we where having with one of the doctors….10ofmosttrades rin bergAlthough this makes no difference now, and I don’t typically take the time to write reviews , bad or otherwise, I was very hurt and disgusted by my last visit here, and I needed to vent a little. Last month, I had started experiencing some pain in my left side, and as days passed the pain progressively became worse and worse. I had been to another emergency room twice by the third day of this strange and awful pain and although the other facility suggested that it could be stress related, they were very caring and never made me feel as if I wasn’t in real pain. By the forth day, I felt as if I were being stabbed by hundreds of needles in a strip from the middle of my back, that wrapped around into my left breast. My skin was on fire, and nothing I did , (other than shower) even dulled the pain. During my second visit to the er, in one setting I was given valum (sp?) narco, and Benadryl. I went home and was STILL waking up in excruciating pain. So I was already aware that pain medication wouldn’t help either. On the fourth day, I refused to believe that this was simply stress, and I KNEW something was very wrong. I came here in hopes that they would be able to ease my mind and help me. I was scared, and in so much pain that I cried the entire three hours I was there. HOWEVER, never once, NOT ONCE did I ask for ANYTHING for pain. They did an ekg, concluded my heart was fine, (I already knew and disclosed I had already had two and two chest X-rays in the previous days) they did a cat scan and ultra sound and during this whole process, the nurse would roll her eyes at me crying every time She entered the room, offered me Tylenol and said the dr wouldn’t give me anything through the iv (as I said I never asked for anything, knowing it wouldn’t help anyway). The dr would come in after every test and shrugg her shoulders and say “good news” as if I wanted to hear they couldn’t find anything and that I was crazy. After the last test she came in , told me they couldn’t find a thing, to go home and take Tylenol. I begged her to help me, told her there must be something wrong , this was the worst pain I’d ever felt, and she got up, and walked out. When the nurse came back, we argued for several minutes and it ended the same way. She shrugged, said sorry and left. I was mortified, they treated me as if I was seeking attention or drugs. The next morning after having no sleep, I called the Denver health nurse hotline and told her my symptoms. By this point all I could do was weep, I couldn’t move, lay still, blink, BREATH , without feeling like I was dying. When I told her what was happening to me, she knew IMMEDIATELY what I had. Just from actually LISTENING to what I was saying. When I went into Denver health, they confirmed what she had told me over the phone. I had shingles. In my case it was rare, because I didn’t have the rash that accompanies it, but they knew exactly what it was simply from hearing what my symptoms were. So thank you fine team of medical people, for completely ignoring what I was telling you, my pain, and desperation for help. Thank you for making me feel like scum, when all along , had you pretended to care long enough to listen to me speak , for 5 minutes, you could have helped me. Keep up the good work;)Deana NavarreteWent this morning for severe abdominal pain that I’ve been having for years. I had a flare up of some kind. Not sure of what.
