Jackie Gibson⭐️⭐️⭐️I was at the ER last night with my mom. The wait time was unbelievable!!!!Waited over 5 hours for her to be seen. We were given excuse of understaffed to the computer program they use was not working properly. Patients should never have to wait this long to be seen! So here’s the good review…. Once we finally were called back the Doctor ( forgive me but I don’t remember his name) and the Nurse Katy were two of the most professional, caring people I’ve ever meet. Katy was Great! She was so kind and informative of what was going on and when she said she would be right back… this girl really kept her word. Unlike most nurses who will tell you that and then you see them an hour later!! I would love to just put 5 stars on the staff at this hospital. The wait was horrible but the staff definitely made up for it. I hope you guys read my review and know I really appreciate the care you gave my mom.R Fox⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFunny how you can tell the pain pill addicts in every hospital review. Sorry guys go elsewhere no oxyies for you here. My experience has been just fine so far, everything onetime and great communication from my doctors. they do need to get the patient portal connect to all their locations though.Tony Kinder⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIt has been seven months now since open-heart surgery, and I could not have been more please with the entire staff. Great job in every way! All of the nurses and staff are super! The cardio rehab team is the best! Even the six-month follow-up was excellent! Great job!!!Debbie HarrisonChecked in 530 saturday and at 10.00 finally in room this is not a good place to come to. For ever waitting people here are smart and uglyDavid Deal⭐️⭐️After triage and some initial tests on my wife we have been sitting in a 67 degree waiting room for about 2 hours so far. Several people have asked for blankets and one elderly man was shivering. Why would the hospital waste so much money and energy just to make their patients and visitors terribly uncomfortable? This is ridiculous!Anonymous⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI am out of town and had to go to the ER last night. I was very pleased how organized this ER is. Also, the staff was professional and friendly. I also appreciated the administrate staff making sure that they had my insurance information correct. In order to file my insurance correctly.Katie Parker⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was seen in a timely manner. Friendly service.Hannah Brewer⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThese nurses took such wonderful care of me for 2 weeks in August ! The entire staff is amazing! They treat you like family ! I thank the Lord for them .Rachel Knight⭐️⭐️Hospital management needs to work on cleanliness of facility. Was visiting someone on 5th floor and sitting in waiting area there are old drink spills on the window sills and the inside of the windows do not look like they have been cleaned in many months.Linda Seay⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEvery one was really nice and helpful my husband was really happy of how we both were being treated my surgery was out patient but I would recommend this hospital any day I hope I don’t have to have surgery again but if I do I will want to come back hereSnapper One⭐️⭐️4.5 hour wait in a absolutely freezing waiting room!!! Staff was professional and apologetic but horribly unsupported. Highly recommend using another facility.Rebecca WilkinsonWorst pre testing ever! 2hr wait for bloodwork and EKG. Short staffed and learning new computer program instead of serving patientsrobmorton66Terrible hospital!!! My wife broke her arm while visiting our daughter. I drove all the way from Atlanta, they had done NOTHING for her in that time. No pain meds, she was wrapped in plastic wrap, no xrays had been done, her knees were bleeding and they hadn’t cleaned the dirt out of her wounds or bandaged her. Absolutely disgraceful. Go to Erlanger instead!!!Elise Goldston⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’m so thankful for Dr Ponce and Brooke. I’m thankful for their hard work in getting to the issue of my illness. It’s been a long journey but they have worked hard to find the problem. The office staff has been wonderful at helping me with all the processes. A special thank you to Lisa and Brooke for answering all my questions. For I did have many. My procedure went very well. And my healing process is going great. Again thank you to the CHI Memorial Metabolic And Bariatric Care for all of your great care.Janice White⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis review is for JP the man that draws the blood…..You are the best, keep up the good work , u really blessed me by knowing what you were doing and just sticking me one time each timeNorma GloversI visited the ER on the 14 December 2018 for chest pain and shortness of breath. I had to walk the long hallway for an x-ray coming back to the waiting room was difficult because I was short of breath. After going back to the waiting room to sit down I was call for the EKG got it done then went back to the waiting room to wait. after nearly an hour I was taken inside the PA and nurse came and interview me. I told them what was going on with me. It was over an hour before my labs was drawn. As an experience ER nurse chest pain patients are not treated that way. EKG, and labs are done immediately. I was admitted to the observation unit for 24 hours to get a stress test. I was taken to the unit at 5:30 pm and was placed in the bed. No one came in the room for 2 hours to take my vitals or place me on a cardiac monitor. At 7:30 pm I went to the nurses station and ask for the charge nurse, the secretary wanted to know what I needed, I told her I have been lying in the bed for 2 hours no one came to put me on a monitor or do my Blood pressure which was very high. Her remarks was, I was wondering when someone would come and see you. The charge nurse then came and her reply was we change shift at 6:pm. I informed I should have been placed on a monitor and for 2 hours I was in bed and not the nursing assistant came in the room, I could have been dead what would they have told my family. I never let anyone knows that I am a retired RN. Because everyone should be treated the same. I told her as a nurse this is unacceptable. After hearing I am a nurse that was when they start doing things right. Over due labs was done and I was placed on a cardiac monitor. Later I spoke to the house supervisor. Is this the way to care for a cardiac patient or any patient. I will never go to that hospital or recommend it to my family. Does the color of my skin as to do with the way I was treated from in the waiting room to the observation unit? Many of the staff of color silently agreed when my daughter asked them the same question. Healthcare should be the same for every patient every time. I worked in a much larger city for years and treated every patient as equals. The negligence on the floor (not being seen) and the lack of compassion in the ER needs to be changed immediately for safety reasons. Falling through the cracks over and over will lead to mishaps with fatal outcomes.Marcus Moore⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHaving a massive heart attack was not on my calendar back in August but thanks to Memorial ER and staff I am here today because of their quick and professional handling my heart attack. The staff of the Cath Lab saved my life.M-M DavisPractitioner Gary D’Aluisio had very poor bed side manners. My wife had fallen and hurt her foot. He had it x-rayed and found 2 breaks. So he had the nurse put on a soft cast. Then he got her a pair of crutches and the nurse explained how to use them. When my wife tried to use the crutches, as she was instructed too, she had a very sharp pain in one of her shoulders. So I was helping her on that side as she walked with the crutch on the other side. When we got to the hall and Gary saw us he said you can’t do that you have to use both crutches. My wife started to explain why she wasn’t using both crutches and he interrupted her and told her she needed to tuffen up and deal with your pain. Gary didn’t offer to check her and see why she was having that kind of pain in her shoulder. He seemed to just want to get her out of there.Louann BlalockI had an endoscopy scheduled today. I have mental health issues. I had talked with the nurses, anesthesiologist, and Dr before going about my mental health issues. They assured me as soon as I got there they would give me something to help me remain calm. The receptionist was rude, they let me sit and have panic attack after panic attack and called security on me for it. When they finally took me back they let me sit in the room screaming and crying and came in and very rudely told me to be quiet because I was upsetting other patients. They did not care that I was having panic attacks.Joseph Parker⭐️⭐️I was seen in the ER by Jason Lee Kile LPN today for back pains and numbness to my left leg. I was seen in a quick manner and was considered a fall risk. However instead of doing xrays or any other scans I get poked with 2 fingers and some tylenol and ibuprofen and sent out the door. They treated me like a was a local addict or something chasing pain pills or whatever. I’ve been dealing with this for over 2 years and I told them that. I just feel like I got profiled and mistreated today, because normally this place is great.Donnaboat race Morgan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe was in surgery center my husband had surgery he came out of surgery we thought he had a stroke thank you Tammy and Dana in surgery center yall do a great job. Michael and Donna Morgan. 20stars Good jobCarolyn FischerI rate the nurses and staff that cared for our relative 5 stars, but the RN working at the information desk blatantly lied to us, sent us on a wild goose chase then laughed about itTim WebbMy 80 year old mother had fallen and sat in the ER for 4 hours while watching everyone else come and go and never was seen by a single medical professional. SHAMEFUL! I took her to Memorial and they were caring. I will never go to Erlanger again.Randy SI received my bill from CHI Memorial for a 2 day stay. I called and tried to make an arrangement for payment with what I could afford to pay. I make one online payment, then have checks sent for 4 months, each of them being deposited, then I receive a letter from a collections company, AFTER CHI has accepted payments, and deposited them. If this is how they do business, I’ll not return to this facility. The folks I spoke with have zero flexibility – they want their money when they want it, not how the consumer can afford.Jason SI will NEVER go back to this unprofessional place. On 6/16/19, I went to the ER because of severe abdominal and groin pain which I thought was a hernia. Upon arrival, the lady that checks people in could see that I was clearly hurting and not very focused. I told her that I needed to see a Dr for a possible hernia. She said fill out the paperwork, which I could not (my brother finally came in and helped me). There was a nurse standing behind the lady and she asked if they should go ahead and send me back. The lady replied, fill out the paperwork. Then I thought the lady was being compassionate but NO she wasn’t. She offered a wheelchair and wheeled me in the center of the room close to the triage door and told me they would be right with me. After 20 min and them calling 3 other people, I knew that the lady was just being an a** so I loudly asked my brother to move the wheelchair bc I am not here to be a show. It was 4 hours before I got sent to the back while remaining in pain. The doctor ordered a CT Scan and ruled out a hernia and said other than having degenerative bone disease, with 2 bad discs. That there was not anything wrong with me and that he could not give me anything for pain. Dr. Brodie, Lester Jay: I never even asked you for anything for pain. Now I understand, that people go in and fake pain to get meds but I was the wrong person to accuse. Every person that acted like they took care of me that night, should be ashamed to call themselves a Dr, nurse, or ugly attitude lady that checks hurting people in. Please don’t send me a bill bc I will not pay for services that were not rendered in the right way. I went to Erlanger East ER 2 days later with the same pain. They were professional, caring, great people and have set me up with a specialist to take care of the pinched nerve that is causing me severe pain. They could clearly see me as a person and not a number. So if you were involved that night, be ashamed of yourself and think to yourself if you should be in the medical field or any field that helps people. I don’t even think sewer work would be fitting for the Doctor or the lady up front. SMH -Jason Stephenssabra Long⭐️⭐️⭐️For the most part the staff was friendly and prompt but several of cna and other staff members seem to be easily irritated if my husband needed a bed. Change being as he has an ostmy bag and rarely would they bring proper containers to dispose or anything if it wede to interupt their converseing amongst one another as far as cleanliness and moping floors and keeping liniens for batheing id have to say waz very poorTeresa⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI accompanied my 78 year old father to the Memorial Emergency Room on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 2pm. Everything about our visit was positive! To begin with, he had an extremely short wait to see the triage nurse, so even our timing was perfect! And as soon as he got settled in his examining room, we were greeted by two awesome nurses, one after the other. These ladies, Sherrie Jackson and Tina Brown, were professional, friendly, patient and compassionate! And even though they were constantly busy, they made sure my father was well taken care of! His doctor was Jared Kaminsky. He was VERY patient when listening to my father describe his health problems. And while they were not able to diagnose what was wrong, the tests they ran enabled them to rule-out several possibilities. We were also given the name of a highly recommended specialist for further treatment. All in all, I am very glad we went to the Emergency Room at Memorial Hospital.cindy lecroyEmeegency room kept us waiting 8 hrs after my mom, a TAVR patient was called back with hemorrhage and anemia being found in her blood test. We live hour away so drove all the way back, made her wait. Her blood was .5 which she could have died from. After 8 hrs we were finally put in a room. Then they started doing tests at 230 in the morning. Why didnt emergency room run these tests? My poor mom was so upset her bp went up to 180/90. The first 8 hrs in emergency was a waste. Ww have had this happen several times there as has my uncle who went in today after stent from 100 percent blockage, his body filled with fluid, they made him go back and sit in waiting area. PATHETIC it’s not tMemorial, but their emergency roomAmanda PExtremely poor service in ER. 3/16/19. We’ve been here for 3 + hours for possible brain bleed per oncologist. (He has metastatic brain cancer) Still waiting. My dad fell and hit his face. He sat for an hour before they did a CT scan then back to waiting room…..NOT in a room in the back, the actual waiting room. Still waiting. Staff could careless. He is in pain and needed to lay down. It’s 1:45 AM. They look at you as if you’re bothering them when you ask for a status. Ummm…what?!? It’s the attitude of the staff while they ate their green Krispy Kreme donuts at the desk that is frustrating. I wonder if they would want to be treated this way? Ridiculous!Charnita TurneyIF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO I WOULD!!! MY 17 YEAR OLD SON IS A TYPE ONE DIABETIC!!! HIS SUGAR WAS OVER 500 AND THEY HAD US WAITING OUT IN THE LOBBY!!! MY SON WAS IN SEVERE PAIN AND THEY DID NOTHING!!! I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS HOSPITAL AGAIN!James Duvall⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I have most of my doctors here. Very clean helpful and busy. But staff is very friendly and courteous. Will help in any way they can. Only drawback I have is make sure if you go to emergency room that your doctor accepts your insurance. They all don’t so just be alert to the fact. However recommendation to this facility is high they are good at what they do.Denia Padilla⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCHI memorial doctors and nurses have been amazing!! They saved my daddy’s life. I COULD NEVER THANK THEM ENOUGH!!!! They have been very kind, helpful, and understanding. Everyone in CVICU are forever in my debt. Thank you for saving a piece of my heart!Karen MorrisYesterday, My sister was diagnosed with fluid around her heart at her family doctor and was told to go to Memorial and be admitted through the emergency room yesterday. She was in terrible pain, high fever, shaking. She arrived at the emergency room at 5:00 pm and did not get into a room until 2:00 am! She has fluid around her heart and was waiting there for 9 hours! Is this how heart patients are treated? This was a terrible experience and we would never recommend going to this hospital.K LAbosolutley the worst ER ever. My husband waited in the waiting room today for 6 hrs. Came in with chest pain and couldn’t breathe, and there he sat for 6 hours! Are u people kidding me! Perhaps u need to reevaluate your status as an emergency hospital, hire more staff. This is completely ridiculous. We will never ever be back. So glad I was not there, because I could of raised some hellInside OutsideI applied for 3 pharmacy tech positions with this company, I was turned down for all 3. I go back to speak to HR just out of curiosity as to why, they told me it was because those are “old jobs that they have already filled.” Are you kidding me? Mind you I went in to the hospital and applied for all of these that were posted online haha. Chattanooga TN, is still stuck in 1964. Someone in this hospital needs to speak up for us young black men who are actually rising and have education and skills. STOP BEING RACIST, IT WILL ONLY GET YOU REVIEWS LIKE THIS ONE.TR Lawrence⭐️⭐️Very dirty.Elisa Wilson⭐️⭐️⭐️Hospital & Staff were great. BEWARE of Billing. Husband had a simple surgery to repair a deviated septum. The hospital charged the insurance company & us (our portion the insurance did not pay) for 5 separate operating room fees. They bill operating room fees for every procedure performed even though it was all done in the same operating room at the same time. Surgery lasted approximately 1 1/2 hr. Totally abusive overcharging. Thank goodness we had insurance or we would have had to pay over $19,000 just for the operating room fees (not including all the other fees) I had back surgery at another local hospital which included multiple procedures & only 1 operating room charge. Parkridge is a much better hospital.Kenny OsborneThis has been the worst hospital experience of our lives. I brought my dad in because he tore a muscle in his leg and then fainted twice. There could have been a cardiac episode, but we have been waiting in the waiting room for over 3 hours now with no end in site. There have been numerous people taken back before my dad that got here hours after we did. To top it all off they just can and tried to take his wheel chair out from under him. He has a definite torn muscle in his leg and is in horrible pain and they haven’t even offered an aspirin. To ask him to stand and walk so they can have his wheel chair is borderline malpractice in my eyes. If you have read this review please do yourself s huge favor and go to park ridge or Erlanger. I have had much better experiences with them in the past.ANTONIO AVENDANO45 minutes waiting at ER and finally when I came out of the room to leave suddenly one guy get into the room to tell me that my daughter will need to take Tylenol and they will program her to make some test later… really?????? 45 minutes!!!!! My concept of ER is evident differently from their staff. If I am going to ER I am looking for a service that requires attention. Now I have to pay a bill for something that Never worth it. Ah but the lady taking my insurance information and credit card was there in less of 10 minutes. Sharing my experience here and with my job associates hopefully will avoid a long stay if you are in need of a real emergency room service.Melinda PostellI came in for cervical disc replacement so my stay is only for one night. The day number nurses were quick to respond until the end of the shift when I asked for an ice pack I never received but they are clearly overworked and acted like they didn’t really have time to deal with me. The night nurse didn’t want to do anything I needed. She had brought some medication and I asked for the ice pack again and ice for my glass. She said she had a patient needing pain medications and that patient was higher priority. When she finally brought the ice, I asked her if I could get an extra cup with ice so she wouldn’t have to keep coming in here with it and she refused. I’m on an ASV ventilation machine with oxygen for sleep apnea, the oxygen tube didn’t have a tube connector for the machine. I asked for it at around 9pm so I could go to sleep. The nurses said they would have to call respiratory to have them bring it. I finally received it at 11:30. The respiratory tech asked me if I needed anything, I asked for ice again, an extra cup of ice and ice for the ice pack. The nurse brought the ice for one cup and didn’t put any water in it. Then said she would bring the ice pack in a few minutes. That was 35 minutes ago. My meds are due at 12:30am. Let’s see how long it takes to get it. Also, during day shift I told them my husband would be staying the night so she said she would order a cot for him to sleep on. It is 12:09 am and still no cot. This has been the worst stay in a hospital I have experienced. And it’s not over yet. I will be glad to get out of here! Melinda PostellMary ParhamAs I sit in the emergency room with my mother STILL in the waiting room 4 hours later!?!? Never in my life have I seen such slow service.. literally the worse service time ever…thank God above so far everyone has lived through the wait. From the girl with the allergic reaction to the guy puking and holding his side to my mother (with a stroke history) think she may have a blood clot n her leg to the surely 90ish year old couple sitting quietly for almost as long… hire the help of loose the “emergency” title . If there had been a no star spot I would have checked it as the rating chi memorial built a bigger nightmare instead of better service. Until tonight I would have always come here…. last time! Sad experience.Karen Wood⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy husband was in Cath Lab. short stay, Bldg A yesterday. The Advacate, Connie, was the sweetest woman. She kept us updated all through the procedure! Always with a smile or a hug. We haven’t met one person, from custodial to doctors that were anything but nice & always helpful!Ben VoilesFirst of all, my wife and I like Memorial and go there for all of our health needs but they have at least two male volunteers that are blatantly anti-Jewish. Every time I have been in the hospital, wearing a yarmulke, I have been approached and told stuff like , ‘you need to find Jesus’, ‘all that matters is Jesus’ etc. Those are some of the nicer things they have said to me. A couple of times I almost thought one of them was going to get violent. They need to tell these people in orientation that it is not their job to confront people of other religions. If somebody persists in this type of behavior they shouldn’t be allowed to volunteer there.Al Brown⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had reason to visit the emergency room on 9/01/2018 Getting in was quick I saw Dr Broady he was very through and professional as was his nurse Sherry. I am glad it didn’t turn out to be an emergencyElizabeth Cullum⭐️⭐️The only reason they’re getting 2 stars is because the nurses were very kind. The patient advocate Karen Cox was a blessing as well. The facility was clean and people we’re helpful. The nurse that did my x-ray was very kind as well, I think her name was Betty. But the nurse practitioner I got, Jason Kile, was absolutely awful. He was condescending, intimidating, and rude. I went in with a plethora of symptoms and because I had such a fast decline I decided to go to the ER. However, Jason criticized me for not going to a doctor about a cough I’ve had, criticized me for being in the ER, and right after I’d told him about my anxiety problems, he decided to tell me they’re checking for cancer with an x-ray. I am 29 and other than whatever is making me sick now I am perfectly healthy, so there was no reason to drop that on me. He came back after the x-ray, confirmed I had no cancer and no collapsed lung and said there was nothing else he could do for me and sent me home. I have had a high fever for a day and a half, complete with alternating sweats and chills that leave me shivering for hours, congested sinuses that give me headaches and hurt my ears, a sore throat, coughing, a tight chest that sometimes hurts, and a rattle in my lungs that’s on and off. But the ER NP decided that since there was no cancer he wasn’t obligated to check for anything else, just gave me a prescription for cough medicine and sent me on my way. I am disgusted with the “care” that I received and will make sure no one I know has to go through that experience either. Truly disgraceful.Ryan Thurmond⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe best hospital I’ve ever been to. The staff was very friendly. They did their best to help me and keep me comfortable.Larry P. Schumacher⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent Total Hip Replacement Surgery! Staff wonderful. Excellent physical therapyTina BankstonThat’s a negative star. Sometimes I have been a patient and the staff was wonderful. Well, this time I got the rotten bottom of the barrel. Some of tech’s are so lazy. It usually takes several calls to get some help, but most of the time no one shows up. I discussed this with Dr. Oellerich and told him that when I get out of here I plan to have my records sent to Erlanger. I will be giving up 7 great doctors .My insurances have paid over $2.5 million dollars in the last 14 years to memorial. I called for some help about 2 hours ago and no one has came in yet. I have TED hose on and the right foot is in so might pain. My circulation is just about cut off. I tried to get it off but I couldn’t, just touching it hurts. I am a diabetic and I promise if I lose my foot over this I will get an attorney. Tina Bankston Room 6132Amy WoodHorrible brought my diabetic mom in with swelling and pain in all four quads. Sat in the lobby for 4 hours just to be called back for blood. Thanking the Lord she wasn’t dying. The administration need to take do something about this, if it was their family member or friend I’m sure it would be different. Jesus take the wheelBarbara Holt⭐️⭐️Took my 81 year old Dad to theNorth GA location after he was seen in his primary care walkin clinic for chest pain and shortness of breath for 2 days. Everyone in the ER was great. However, due to his symptoms he was admitted and ended up being in the ER over 2 hours after they told him the results of the testing and that he would be admitted for observation. Once we were moved to the floor by an ER rep, it was over 40 minutes before anyone walked into his room to check him. By the way, he was not on a heart monitor during this time. Also he had not had food in several hours or his evening meds and when asked about getting him something to eat in ER they said the food was better on the floor. So after the nurse came in finally it took another 30 or 40 minutes to get him a cold Turkey sandwich. Ok hes checked in, finally gets a heart monitor on after an hour so I go home. Come back this morning . Here at 7 am so not to miss the dr. Well. Its 4th of July and the dr called and told the nurse that he will be in a little later since it’s a holiday. We right now it’s almost 3 PM and dr still has not come in. Thete are 8, yes I said 8 patients on this area of the hospital. How long would it take for the dr to come I. And see the 8 patients? Well, the nurse aid told me earlier around noon that he should be here anytime because they had to call him twice already about a different patient. Still no dr 3 PM. Of course if you have ever been a patient of Dr Bosshardt you know that is how he works. Needless to say I will not recommend treatment at this hospital. I gave 2 stars because the Er staff and floor nurse and aid today ate nice. Pretty clean in this room. There are very little options for family to get snacks. I am very disappointed and should have known better as I
