CHRISTUS – Emergency Hospital Reviews

Before you go to CHRISTUS – Emergency Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Bossier City emergency room think.

ROBERT MARSH⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy wife has been having something going on with her heart for the past weeks. Last night was the 3 time we had to go the the ER. First time at a Christus ER. Best experience we have had yet. We didn’t actually find out what is actually going on yet, but we’re able to find something else out, that might be related to it. The staff was so kind & caring & willing to listen to the patient needs, symptoms and concerns. Also the ER doctor on staff took the time invested all options to figure everything out. What even a big plus, was the Christian atmosphere. All in all, the best experience we have ever had in an ER.Jordan Naeem⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had to visit this ER after having numbness and tingling in my hands and face. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left I was absolutely impressed by the attention, thoroughness, and the genuine care that I received from the Front desk, the nurse, and the doctor that treated me. This facility is beautiful, I had almost no wait whatsoever, and I was in and out with the treatment and the answers that I needed. I would highly recommend this ER, especially when compared to its competitors. This is the only ER I will visit for myself and my family from now on!Glenda Carpenter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone was so carrying and empathic. My nurse, Fred, is the absolute best!Jerome Hatcher⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe wait time was only a few minutes, the friendliness of the staff, nurses and doctors was so refreshing, and the medical attention and help was just first class. I hope you stay well and do not need to see a doctor or receive professional help with a medical problem, but if you do — – – – I heartily recommend CHRISTUS Bossier Emergency Hospital!Rachel Branton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have visited this ER twice in the last 3 months (long story), and each time has been absolutely amazing. Extremely friendly and fast checkin, very considerate and compassionate care. The staff and all the different departments are very efficient and clean. I would highly recommend this ER to anyone in need of emergency care.Alexis Mckenzie I went to Christus Bossier Emergency Hospital due to pain in my lower stomach and I was pregnant. I had the worst experience ever. I did not see a doctor at all. I saw the nurse practitioner and they took some urine. She tells me to change into a gown and the doctor will see me. An half hour later she comes back in tells me I’m being discharged and the doctor said my urine looks fine. I tell them I’m in pain and I need an ultrasound. She says the doctor said it’s probably your uterus stretching and that’s it. I sign my discharge papers and go to another emergency room. After bloodwork and an ultrasound, the doctor comes in and tells me my baby isnt growing and there no heart beat. I will never go to Christua Bossier Emergency hospital again. Not only did they not help me but now I will receive a bill for absolutely nothing.Alice Gandy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat and fast service very very cleanj Hendrix⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI truly thank GOD for all of the team working at CHRISTUS Bossier Emergency Hospital!!! The team was fast and efficient and caring and professional!! I give 5 stars for their wonderful performance and clean new building and how well equipped they are!! I am beyond grateful for our new choice of emergency care! They can even admit you to their inpatient wing if need be!Sabrina Cobb⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOnce again I went to the hospital 4-6-19. I do have chronic pancreatitis it’s VERY painful to say the least. I saw Dr.Edwards, this doctor is a God send. The really cared about how I felt. He told me I was having another attack and he and the two lovely nurses I had, I’ll tell you what you’re NOT a number here, you’re a person. I want to thank God for my two nurses and the WONDERFUL DOCTOR! I hope and pray that the other hospitals can take a class from them they can teach them that a person knows there body and they LISTEN to you. Going to this hospital is a wonderful experience. Thank you Christus Bossier for being the best choice over the other hospital’s. <3Ruth F⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedRecently, I spent 8 days and 7 nights here. Starting in the ER, the folks at the front desk who asked me why I was there were super friendly and didn’t ask endless questions, just for ID and insurance. Within just a few minutes an RN was taking me back, I assumed for triage, but nope she took me straight into an ER room. Already waiting for me there was the respiratory therapist. Within 5 minutes the doctor was in my room. He was amazing. So personable and full of wit and sarcasm which I appreciated. He told me he’d get me fixed up and admitted. I asked if we couldn’t possibly wait until I’d had some treatment and then decide whether or not to admit me. He agreed. After the treatments and countless tests and exams he came back in and said, “Ruth, you can’t breathe, your body isn’t getting enough oxygen, and your heart rate is sky high. There’s just no way I can let you go home.” Then he lovingly patted my lower leg in a very soothing manner. I know this may not seem like much, but if you’ve ever been in an ER or hospital, you will know that personality, compassion, and warmth go a long way toward putting somebody at ease. I was moved pretty quickly onto the hospital side of the facility and the staff continued to be kind, compassionate, patient, and willing to do whatever was asked. This is a small place (9 beds in the ER and 6 in the hospital) so they all got to feel like family. The next morning a doctor came in and said he needed to do another EKG and then left the room. He came back a few minutes later and told me he’d gone out to pray for me. Sweet! The nurses were all fantastic and had such patience with me. They were giving me so much medication (IV and oral) and I just told them I was scared to take all that stuff together…you know, wasn’t all that likely to slow my respiration too much? I know they know what they’re doing, but it was SO much medication to me. On the first night the nurse promised she’d check on me every hour so that I could rest assured that I wasn’t dying. Call me crazy, but that’s just what I needed and it put my mind at ease. Yes, I can admit I wasn’t being rational, but she was happy to comfort me in a simple way. The CNAs were awesome and did so much for me; covered my IV for showering daily, brought me fresh towels, changed my linens and so on. The lady who cleaned my room and floor every day was the sweetest. One nurse in particular I really hit it off. On her first shift with me she asked if she could pray with me. Yes! So she came over, held my hand and prayed. We were together for days and she was such a comfort to me. A few days in my IV and arm began to hurt badly, swelled up and had knots up and down. So my nurse that day said I’d have to have a new one. I expressed my fear and she said she’d go over to the ER and get one of those nurses to do it. She said that she could certainly do it herself, but since the ER nurses do it all day every day why not let them do it. This is great care – no ego. No talk of how she’d been a nurse for 30 years. She simply wanted the best for her patient and she made sure I got it. So another nurse comes in to place the new IV and she put me at ease instantly and that IV stick was amazing – better than the daily blood draws I was getting. We chatted about this and that and about the bromeliad plant a friend had brought and other plants. A few days later she comes into my room and said she had something for me. Inside a little Ziploc bag was a round brown ball covered in a little dirt. She said it’s a rose of Jericho plant and she’d just ordered several for herself and wanted me to have one too. Then she showed me pics of the plant on her phone. How cool is that! I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s the farthest hospital from our home, but should I need it again in the future I’ll make that drive. I’ve had more than my fair share of ER and hospital visits, both for myself and others, and this is hands down the best treatment I’ve received.Cameron Long This place is a joke. All the staff were super rude and unprofessional. I took my girlfriend in because she was suffering from extreme abdominal pain and constant puking. They didnt do anything to help her. Just treated her like some one who was lying and looking for medication. During her wait in the exam room. She could hear all the staff talking about her, making jokes that she was from california moving to Georgia. If i could rate a zero i would. Don’t go here even if your life depends on it cause they wouldn’t help you if it did. I wish i could remember the names of the staff so i could really put them on blast.Patricia Kimbrough Very disappointed! I went in for a suspected thumb tendon rupture. The doctor was rude and would not listen to me when I explained I couldn’t lift the tip of my thumb at all. He poured betadine all over the bed and me before he stitched the wound. The next day I was at Orthopedic Specialists after a referral from my primary doc, and received the correct diagnosis within 5 minutes. I had surgery the following day for a ruptured tendon repair. It’s a serious injury and I will never seek care at this facility again.Shacole Farley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone was so nice and took great care of my daughter!Matthew Stevens⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had a great experience at Christus Bossier. Highly recommend!lori corbell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWonderful experience at CHRISTUS Bossier! Mammogram and MRI, everyone was so kind and I truly felt like a VIP. So glad Bossier has another option for healthcare!Susan Dumas⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWas very happy with the whole staff,,helpful and caring,,saved my life,,tyHeidi Wilson This is the second time we have been here since it opened. Once for a laceration to my oldest daughter’s thumb and this visit, a referral from our PCP that my youngest daughter needed to be tested for meningitis. Both a bit scary. The nursing staff is amazing, friendly, & caring. No complaints there. But the doctor that we have seen both times is condescending, dismissive and rude. This is our final visit to this ER. By definition, the ER is a scary place…especially when it involves your children. Very frustrated with our experience with this facility.Michael Williams⭐️⭐️My wife was seen there on 15 Mar 2018. The doctor on duty was not a participating provider with BC/BS. Now dated on 19 Oct we get a bill for $1142.03 for an ER visit. It should be illegal for a hospital not to disclose that a physician is not a participating provider. Be careful, they will stick it to you. Better off going down the street to Willis-Knighton. I would give CHRISTUS negative stars if I could. Update: CHRISTUS reached a deal with BC/BS after about 9 months. This is still a ridiculous practice and should not be allowed. Since they did reach a deal I will change my review to a 2 star vs 1 star.Gabby Sherrill⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThanks to Nurse Audrey, Dr. Davis, and the entire nursing/admitting staff at Christus ER Bossier City, my mom recently received the best medical attention. I am grateful beyond words that all of you took such great care of my mother, who has not even been for a check up in years. She got the treatment she needed and she is now feeling much, much better!! Thank you so much for your excellent work there at the hospital.Delanie Henderson Very condescending, unprofessional and rude staff.Bina Cobb⭐️⭐️⭐️Well my nurse is worth her weight in gold. The male nurse that put in the first IV nice man, the IV blew after about 10 minutes when he put it in. The doctor he could have acted like he has no personally at all. I can’t help what I have. And the tests that have to have done have to be done, Don’t scare people by saying I’ll cancer for the tests.Carla Smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFrom the front desk all the way to the exam room….everything was done swiftly and professionally. Thanks to Nurse Tim and Dr. Davis they assured me I was okay and were very compassionate and professional.
