Before you go to Clark Memorial Health, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Jeffersonville emergency room think.
moose smithI grew up around here visited the er quite often, now when call here on vacation for my daughter to say it was embarrassing and have my wife look at me as if this was a 3rd world country facility. This place is worse than Kubal. I hate to say I was embarrassed, personnel seemed way less then helpful, admin staff do not even know their job little line you have to explain billing to them and when you break down the legal terms they only know 1st grade wording, where do they hiring these people. No wonder they need to pay each person as a contractor because this facility could not make it with permanent staff and referral base needs. No wonder they have shorter wait times than Any other facility people rather wait dying somewhere else than go here.Tishieka WheelerWhen I visited Clark Memorial I was in so much discomfort. I had sharp pains across my chest and did that give them any sense of urgency. No. I believe because I am African American. I was the first to arrive in the ER. 6 other people who came in after me has been triaged went to the back. Of course I am still waiting. I think these people are racist and something should be done.Korey Alwood⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedABSOLUTELY BEST HOSPITAL!!!! Took my fiancee in for a shoulder pain. They treated her very kind right away and got her in to the ER. The nurses were very pleasant and friendly and took care of her. She went for an X Ray and they came right back and saw something and did a second X Ray. Literally read the X Ray right then and gave her a dye injection to do a CT scan. They found a tumor and got her scheduled to get a biopsy. The entire staff called her sweetie and were constantly there to help. I can not say enough about this experience. GREAT JOB CLARK MEMORIAL!!!!Margarita Quinones⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy son was taken to the emergency room with a life threatening heart condition (we didn’t even know he had it). The staff at the emergency room saved his life. He spent two months in critical care and they were wonderful. Because of them, and God, my son is here today!!Candace NealTook my one year old child here around 1am with 104° and she was breaking out everywhere. We sat in their lobby for almost two hours till we left and went to Floyd. The bathrooms where absolutely horrible!!! The waiting room was nasty. I absolutely hate this hospital and they should be ashamed and embarrassed for the way they let things run her. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! I don’t just say this over that one visit. My mother was staying there for a week and four days. One of the nurses (male nurse) tackled her on the ground because she was not in her room at night where she is suppose to be. My family and I never have a good experience here I would rather drive to a hospital that cares for their patience, even if it is father away.Brandon CoatsThis is the worst hospital we have ever been to in our lives and we have traveled to 15 countries over North America, Europe, and Asia. Their staff seems competent, but the enforcement of arbitrary rules is over the top. We were in one of the awefully dated postpartum rooms with our newborn who was crying. I decided to leave the room and walk the hall with him in my arms as walking always helped tremendously with our first born. The hall way had zero cross traffic and was told it was a risk to drop him and forcibly sent back to the room. If so that is my responsibility and fault and not that of the hospital. We had asked to leave repeatedly and told that we had to wait 48hrs which is not even a requirement as the important testing is conducted at 24hrs now. All of these tests were returned normal without issue and we literally live 3min from the hospital. Reasoning skills are not with this hospital as their focus is clearly on profits at expense of their customers – indicators for this profiteering are (1) outdated and claustrophobic interior rooms that are dated to an earlier era of medicine, (2) inflexibility to needs of babies to move around and feel the bipedal rythmic patterns that they are familiar with after 9mo in the womb, (3) exorbitantly high cost of delivery when all capital costs had been long since repaid, and (4) keeping customers here past their desired stay when all tests have returned nominal results with absolutely no issue… why? It means more they can charge the insurance companies – management should be changed and a younger, more capable team enabled to monetize through establishing true value and not coercion If you are planning for a kid save yourself the trouble and go to Louisville. The hospitals are much better there.Siren Likes candy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWell actually its my great grandma but i swear they are amazing great service and there treating her really goodEnd time Bride of Christ Raymond Jacksons sermons⭐️⭐️one of the wrose hospitals in the area.. it is really dirty there and not organized.. drive to Floyd or Louisville> the floors was dirty, the health people who work there didnt care about you, give me a room with blood on the bed that wasnt mine. set in a room for 8 hrs half the time i naver even seen anyone..Crystal NewmanAll your ER nurse does is sit on her butt chatting with a co-worker. Its taken her an hour just to take my pee. Something needs to be done about this.Jonathan HillMy Daughter is there for a pregnancy complication and needs an IV The ER Waiting Room is the worst room in the entire hospital The cafeteria is closed and all the vending machines are empty. Does Martin Padgett still run this place. Very very disappointedD CookMy boyfriend went to ER writhing in pain doubled over with TRIAGE lady being very rude not even listening. They left him 4 hours waiting while others coming in AFTER him that could walk fine going back to a bed BEFORE him! Rude lady at registration told me people are called back in order of ‘severity’ of their issue. I was NOT rude to her, & she should not have been rude to me! He could’ve had an organ rupture for all they knew or cared in those 4 hours watching others that walked ‘fine’ go back BEFORE him! He had a kidney stone with ER Dr. wanting to keep him overnight because of his pain & issues. Thankfully, the Dr. & nurse were polite & helpful. Hospital needs to look into their ‘desk/triage’ help at ER since some issues ARE a critical when coming in & who can make the ‘call’ there at the DESK of the ‘severity’ of people’s pain! Someone could have something rupture and/or kill them while waiting in that ER!Brandy KindNeed to make labor and delivery large enough to handle your population.Jamie Heflin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Had to go here today. While it took quite a long time, my nurse (Amber)was very nice as was most of the other staffN BThis emergency is being renovated and all but the real renovation needs to be the employees… I’ve gone three times, once the doctor told me I was fine before being seen and sent me home with pain medication. Second time, the recuptionist at the front to check in the emergency room was too busy gossiping on her cell phone to even help me. And then the third time I’m sitting her waiting to have my boyfriend be seen and there is a pregnant lady who is having horrible symptoms and looks like she’s about to give birth and she stated she’s high risk. And they all just sitting on their phones not doing anything.. This hospital is the worst and ever and if you were dying They wouldn’t even care. Seriously. I will drive over the bridge to Kentucky with 1000 bullet holes in my body to be seen before I come here.Peter Felice⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe have had terrible experiences at Floyd Memorial in the past, so when I was having terrible pains from a Kidney Stone I insisted that my wife take me to Clark Memorial hospital. Despite having to be in pain for 3 hours (they had a much more serious thing happen to someone right before I came in), I really appreciate every thing that Dr. McKnight and the nurses did for me (i think one of them was named elissa). Hospitals are tough to take reviews seriously on, because a lot of people expect to be helped in seconds and sometimes that can’t be the case. So here is a very positive review on the experience with how kind they were and how patient and helpful they were with me and my situation!Stacie davis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great people great doctors understanding and helpfulDavid Carter⭐️⭐️Always a long wait. I feel like I am dying and have about 1 1/2 hours in waiting room. May try Floyd. I hate that hospital even more though.Kristen MastersAbsolutely terrible. I won’t be back. Would not recommend this hospital of you need immediate care. The Food Dude⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommended2nd floor behavioral health staff was wonderful!Shelly KempHusband came to ER at 9:00am 7:00 pm and still no room was admitted this morning totally ridiculousTristan CurtissYou could die of old age, just from how long you will be waiting. Seriously!Eric BurdenThis place is a joke!!!!! Go to a vet, you’d be better offQuiet FlowerSlow, and no one else was in the waiting room. The doctor was in and out in about 90 seconds, threw some lame attempt at “pain medicine” at a very severe tooth infection, and sent us out the door. Will be taking the drive to New Albany next time. If you’re looking for care, don’t waste your time. (Medicine still isn’t helping, either.)Zach HWait for hours never to be seen
