I would choose to go to this hospital any time I was in need. It is not a stretch to say they saved my life. While the procedure went smoothly and to plan, I still must say I was quite disappointed with the staff, all the way from the receptionists to the nurses. Without going into too much detail, my partner is transgender and very much presents as the gender she identifies. She was required to list the hormones she takes on a normal basis under her medications, so this was definitely made clear to the staff. However, because she still hasn’t legally changed her name or her sex, the staff referred to her by her deadname and incorrect pronouns throughout the entire procedure. Even after I said her correct pronouns to the nurse, she still continued to use the incorrect ones. In my view, Community must do better in this aspect of their patient care. Everyone at the hospital, from the receptionists to the nurses to the doctors, should be prepared to ask every patient’s preferred name and pronouns. It takes literally less than a minute and makes the entire procedure much more comfortable for the patient and their loved ones. Community, please do better and implement this into your practices. All the nurses, as well as Physicians, in the ER, ICU, and regular Hospital floor were *EXCEPTIONAL*!!! Also the pre and post surgery Nurses, and the helpers and cleaning crew. Just *PHENOMENAL*. 110% Satisfied as a Parent if my most precious Son. The surgery was a great success and he has fully recovered. I left in an as much acute health situation as I came in after driving 6 hours. Hospital refused to provide my labs so that I could self treat my acute health crisis. Head of hospital refused to help provide my records so I could find relief. What ate they hiding? I will be not pay this bill. I was paying for medical treatment, not screening for things that I knew were not my problem. I received no yreatment. If this hospital only screens for three things they should advise their patients. I was experiencing severe upper back spasms. I was greeted nicely, and ushered in. I explained my plight, as well a the measures I had taken before presenting myself for treatment. They gave me a Valium to relax my spasm as well as a Lidocaine patch. After 1 hour there was no relief. Then they decided to rule out a kidney stone…negative. My spasms were getting worse.The physician …Dr Friend, was the attending Dr, and did not even look at the visible spasming going on. After an additional hour and change, I was given a Anti-inflammatory injection…Toredol. This did not help. It was then decided that In would receive a “Norco” dose…I fully stated in ALL my medical records that I am allergic to Codeine as well as Vicodin. It gives me a rash.Norco is the same as Vicodin. Before taking the pill I asked the nurse to make sure this would not make me itch or have a reaction. She assured me it would not. I starting itching after about 20-30 minute. I requested a Benadryl and was given a sub therapeutic dose of 25 mg. My pain was just as bad as went I went in, Dr Friend then informed me that they were.not going to do anything else and I should contact a Spine Specialist on Monday. I was treated as if I was a drug seeking individual …which I am definitely NOT. I was given 3, 5 mg Valium to bring home …I took as directed along with another dose of Ibuprofen. I have spent the last 24 hours in pain. I know there are several other oral muscle relaxants on the market that may help me, but either the Hospital Protocol or a Dr’s opinion I was not given an option. It is Sunday evening, I’ve been is extreme pain for over 24 hours with no place to turn to, with any luck, I can get into see the recommended Spine Dr. I am going to be filing a complaint with the Hospital Administration and every other agency I can. I am not seeking any legal action, but I am seeking an explanation. I DO NOT USE any drug for recreation, and I am angry for being treated as if I am. Meanwhile, my rights to have been given pain relief that is sufficient has been ignored.Montana Beard⭐️⭐️The last few times I have taken myself or my child in the nurses have been extremely rude. They didn’t have a special UV light to observe the eye and we were directed to the ER. For 15 minutes in a room I was charged 380 dollars and over 80 dollars for a single drop of contrast fluid. I was told I could receive a 20 percent discount if I paid at the time of service. So I paid the bill and asked if that was all. I wasn’t told that I would receive a bill separately for the doctors services- which amounted to 2 minutes of putting the drop in and looking at the eye, and 5 minutes of “discussing” why my daughter should have an irrelevant vaccination after she saw we didn’t vac on her chart. For all 7 minutes of her time there im charged over 350 dollars. I will never use Community’s services again. With highway robbery like that they should be shut down for monopolizing people’s wallets. To say the least I’m very put out about their dishonest billing.
