Before you go to Dignity Health AZ General Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Tempe emergency room think.
TJ Fowler⭐️⭐️⭐️Typically a really reliable hospital. We’ve gone here because they don’t have low traffic. They’ve been great towards trans patients as well. The nurse (Kari or Mari, unfortunately I can’t recall but the other nurse was actually super nice but I didn’t who was who) we saw however was very short and dismissive in her manner. After she left, I went back out and told her about how my sibling was crying because he already hates going to hospitals and such. The nurse didn’t apologize but the doctor stepped up and handled the situation. The doctor came in shortly after (Dr. Flatley) and was very responsive to what I had to say and approached my sibling carefully. The other nurse came and attended to him with amazing attitude and personality. I’m glad I said something and I’m glad they fixed it.Crystal LeighThe only reason I even gave them 1 star is because I had no choice. The overnight staff at this hospital is awful. I have never been so insulted in my life. My concerns were not addressed at all. I was told there was nothing wrong with me. (That was not true, I went elsewhere and was checked in) Both the Dr and his nurse were rude and the receptionist wasn’t much better. I will never go to this place again.Cherise Robinson⭐️⭐️⭐️I went and was seen right away every nurse was good and the doctor was great. I did 3 stars because I have iv go a little wrong I had a reaction to meds I was given in the iv. But other then that my experience was fineMichael GarlandHorrible experience. I went in for feeling sick, and they didn’t check my throat, temperature or ask me what I was allergic to. They prescribed me antibiotics right away, and when the nurse came in for me to sign the document with my prescription, he prescribed me the only medication I am allergic to! The doctor did not take his time to ask questions, seemed annoyed and in a hurry (Dr. Velasquez). Additionally: A couple days before I went in, I was bit by my friend’s tiny dog that had no chance of having rabies. The doctor told me I was required to report it. FALSE. I found out he is required to report it, but not me. I did not want to since this was my friend’s dog and I was certain it had it’s shots, but Dr Velasquez made it sound like I was required by law or something. So I did by filling out the paperwork they gave me, and animal control treated my friend who is a single mother like a criminal – banging on her door and calling her many times at work. Her daughter was the only one home and didn’t know what was going on. This could’ve been avoided if the doctor was knowledgeable and didn’t make it seem like I was required to report it (which I didn’t feel was necessary). This place is clean and well equipped, the nurses were funny and considerate. But because the purpose of this place is it’s quality of care – I’m rating based on the doctor.Sarah Cardenas⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCame here at 12 pm at night for my daughter was greeted and called back right away. Everyone was so nice and we were out within 25 min. Very satisfied with this place as it was my first time. Will be returning as needed p.s. security guard even helped me out to the car and even helped buckle my children in there car seats (didn’t even ask) and waved by as we left.Adrienne ansel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey were so kind, which never happens at an ER (for me anyways) Got further here than I have with my own primary care doctor. Thankyou!!Crystal Deleon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHOLY MOLY! This facility is BY FAR the best facility I have ever been to out of all Dignity and even Banner Locations. It is close to my house is why I came, but honestly there are more reasons than that as to why they are awesome! I got right in … Rebecka at the front desk was so sweet and explained everything I needed to know about insurance and payment, Nurse Clem was so helpful, knowledgeable, and funny … Dr. Hale was attentive, to the point, and really understood my needs. I would recommended ANYONE child or adult and they are the ONLY emergency room I will be trusting my family too now, I felt like I was with my family there!Pilar ReyDr. Velazquez is so rude ! he seems to not care ! i came here with my kid and he was so rude not only him but the nurse too and he was like in a rush or something!Carey NashIf I could give 0 star I would. As an ICU nurse I was flabbergasted at the incompetence of the physician and the nurse. The physician perforated my ear drum and I ended up having to go to an ENT. I was also billed incorrectly so if you are unfortunate enough to have to go here, please call billing and ask for an itemized bill so you can view the charges.Adam RassNo trash cane, u can’t use bathroom until u are registered! Seriously! What plant is az part of Super redicouls!Tamara Tabor⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat staff! Yes it’s fairly new, so there was no wait. But I am glad we decided to be seen here. Everyone was really nice and very knowledgeable .I JohnstonWe chose this location in an emergency because it looks like an urgent care with X-ray services, which is what we needed. We generally do urgent cares instead of ERs because we do not have medical insurance; but the Banner Urgent Care a mile south does not have X-ray. The doctor only ordered X-rays, told us the break was bad, and that we needed to see a specialist asap. The specialist said a hospital ER would have referred us to their in-house orthopedic specialist and surgery would have been likely. Despite this off-site ER doctor ordering the patient before us (I heard through the wall/doors) to go the hospital, we did not receive this same treatment as we would have in an actual hospital. NOW, our bill arrives and it billed AS IF we were seen in the actual hospital ER: National Medical Professionals doctor $441 & East Mesa Hospital Facility Fee $3316. This is ludicrous especially considering that we did not have the same treatment options that we would have had in the ACTUAL hospital ER. WILL NEVER RETURN THERE. Much better to go to FASTMED AT MILL AVE… an actual urgent care with x-ray.Lauren Volpe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommended07/09/19 I came here for my debilitating panic attacks. Dr. Patricia Cremona was the first ER Doctor to genuinely care about my mental illness. She showed genuine heart and didn’t treat me like I was just “crazy” like the others do. She prescribed me the medicine I needed to help me. I almost never have this type of experience with ER doctors, so thank you, Dr. Cremona for listening to and helping me.connie sanchez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedUnder the circumstances (never fun to be in the er) this was by fat the easiest and best experience ever! Thank you!Amari Ninja Boy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Very clean, nice kind staffKaiI had schedule an appointment online, after having called to verify they were able to do an ultrasound on site in which I was told yes by person I talked to on phone a day prior to going in. When I arrived, no one was at the front desk until finally someone showed up. Then to find out they did not have my appointment in their system. The girl told me I should have received an emailed confirmation of which I did not get. So all efforts was wasted. Hope whoever’s trying to achieve what I did today need to know and be aware of. I thought I did do diligence to achieve what needed to be done. Apparently this was a total fail from my experience with dignity er on rural and baseline in Tempe.. Should you use this location, or not; That is the question you should ask yourself. Being Memorial Day; Take the time to be thankful to all the armed services men and women who gave their lives so that we have the freedom here in the USA. As well as the ones on active duty. Thank You for your services. What has our health care system come to, This has to be addressed in order to fix the problems we face. People are dying in full er at major hospitals, so many horror stories. I thought this next level of urgent would be a quicker way to funnel out more less invasive procedures to better inable the truly lifethretning individuals. People die in waiting rooms across America. This needs to be addressed and resolved quickly. Corporate greed is having a major impact the way the healthcare industries are coming to. More and More locations but inadequate help needed to make an impact on the quality of care we need as of present. G D HELP US Elizabeth Bouwman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNot really a big fan of anything with hosptal in the name but honestly this was the best experience I’ve had at a hospital. Everyone was really nice and thoughtful. The doctor was great I believe his name was dr.haul (thats probably not spelled right but along those lines) all the nurses were really nice and helpful also. If I’m ever dying in the middle of the night again I’ll make sure to come back.cheryl parker⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery clean place the people are very friendly and helpful. Nurse came in gave her all my symptoms. So when the dr walks in he check the wrong ear then he looks at me like I thought your ear hurts. Well that would be the right ear. Subscribe me some amoxicillin and never look or address my other symptoms. Now I have to go my dr to get this taken care of.
