Before you go to Dixie Regional Medical Center River Road, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this St. George emergency room think.
Jasmin A.Almost gave my mom medicine she is deathly allergic to, and it’s noted in her chart she is allergic to it. They literally were just going to inject it into her IV without telling us what it was, (it’s an anti nausea medication) if we wouldn’t have stopped the nurse and asked what he was about to give her, she could’ve died. We have been there multiple, multiple times and all they seem to care about is what is the fastest way they can get you to leave, not let’s get to the bottom of your problem. Staff is nice sometimes, very cold others.Kennedy Kennedy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDidn’t help the wife, but want to charge an arm and a leg for giving her the wrong information. BUT, I do have to say that they were pretty quick at life flighting our son where he can get the help that he needed. They saved a life, therefore I give’em 5 stars, but they still haven’t proved to my family that real doctors actually work there.Karen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDr. Cole Gibbons seen my son yesterday and was absolutely amazing with him. He went above and beyond and called today to see how my son was doing. Not many doctors from an emergency room call with a follow up phone call, very impressed.Rita TaylorNot impressed.. no place to sit at check in. Patient Privacy Act is compromised at check in. Staff extremely rude (Nursing). Physican was nice, to the point, thorough found problem.. Left emergency room in pain. Pain level at a eight. Discharge papers where dropped on bed stand., told i could go no one walked me out. I was confused and disoriented after morphine shot.Jessica Trammell⭐️⭐️The drs just give medicine and dont even help to find out what is wrong. Going on 2 weeks of a constant pressure headache and the medicine they gave me for “migraine” didnt help at all. I told them it was not a migraine. Then they sent me home. That’s it……1 hour and didnt even care find out what was wrong with this weird constant headache. Worst visit I’ve had at any hospital.K KennedyI’ve been to the E.R twice. 1st was for severe cramping. Told me to quit taking IBUPROFEN (I probably did take more than I should’ve, because of a prior knee surgery). They did a procedure that didn’t work, prescribed me 6 tramadols and sent me home, later received a bill for thousands of dollars! For what?? Not for helping me. . A year later I’m in the worst pain in my life (I’d rather give child birth without drugs). They did comfort me while I was there, with an IV of pain meds, 1st dose was stronger than morphine (I forgot what its called), my body was numb except for where the pain was. Then I was sedated, amazing because I was pain free for a little bit. They evaluated, told me to contact a surgeon within a day or 2, if symptoms worsen, then I should return. Released with NO pain meds! Surgeon can’t see me for another 10 days!! That’s 10 days of this misery. And then it’s just a consultation, why didn’t the E.R do the surgery? Because she was a NP, not a surgeon, she evaluated me told me I need surgery and then left the room. I was discharged, slept the next 15 hours or so to be woken up with the same excruciating pain. Expecting to see the surgeon within a day or possibly two since they referred me. (Discharge papers said to contact ER if I cant be seen). But nope, I’m on the list. Since I’m not bleeding out it’s not a life threatening situation. I contact the head nurse at ER, she said I can return to ER for the same treatment, IV full of pain meds. Then what?? Be charged thousands of dollars for 4-5 hours of relief then sent home!! This is probably why people in pain look to the streets for pain meds, or commit suicide because they’d rather die then suffer. No worries here, I will drive to another city for help. They couldn’t help my child there either, they had to life flight him out of here to receive the care he needed!! They don’t help and charge thousands of dollars for no reason ♀️ ♀️ sorry for the long post but that’s my experience and don’t understand what the point of this E.R is???
