ER 24/7 Reviews

Before you go to ER 24/7, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Lutz emergency room think.

Joey Simon STAY AWAY!!! If I could give less stars I would! Took my 5 year old daughter in right before Christmas bc she was complaining her ear hurt. Got in and was seen quickly as it was midnight. Took vitals, looked in her ear and wrote 3 prescriptions. Total time with doctor was 5 minutes. Get the bill a few weeks later and it’s $500 after insurance. $2,500 before insurance. Who the hell charges $2,500 to write prescriptions for an ear infection?? NEVER AGAIN!!Stefani Orbik⭐️⭐️The good news is that I was in and out in around 2 hours (8:30 at night on a Tuesday). The place was pretty much empty and I believe I received good care. The downside is that they GROSSLY over charge you. I had an ultrasound done and they billed $1282 for it. I got the exact same ultrasound at my specialist’s office 2 weeks later and was only billed $245. This type of price gouging should be against the law. Overall I had some lab work done, the ultrasound, and was given one antibiotic capsule. They billed my insurance over $10,000. Now I’m on the hook for my entire deductible. Something needs to change with hospital billing practices.Tiffany Murphy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had the best experience here. First time coming… I came for a bad pain in my rib cage after a accident…. The dr new how to realigne my rib cage without even doing a xray which saved me a ton of money. I was in and out in less than 2 hours.Jen G BEWARE they send you info to several different places and even when you provide them with medical insurance card that’s accurate and up to date. My children’s insurance was more then will to cover the charges and yet they still put it on my credit.Marlene Berk My grandson was brought in and they said he had the flu because the flu is going around. I inquired if they ran out of diagnostic tools to confirm their diagnosis and they said treatment is no different. Tamiflu is a very serious drug and I will not give it to my grandson unless he has a confirmed diagnosis. I can assume he has the flu from home. Thanks for nothing.Kelly Miller⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI visited this ER twice recently and received 5 star service each time. Doctors were kind and down to earth and nurses were nothing short of amazing. It is a spotless facility and it is clear that every single person there is working hard to make patients feel better.NELSON ABREU Seriously this people took my vitals spoke to me , write up a prescription and the charge my insurance $4566.45 ,they got 2633.93 from the insurance and now they billing me fo the REST………..WHAT !!!! But they will know who i am !!!!!! It didnt took more than 15 min and all they did was take my blood pressure and temperature. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACELanda Nasellari My fiancée went to this place and got 3 xrays done and got a bill for $4000.. it’s a rip off, they did not do anything walked in his own, no recommendation, no medical treatment just a high bill, do not go … the worse place you be better off going to the hospital…it’s way cheaper.. called several times and they can’t explain the treatment and the itemized bill is not clear just says for showing up there they charged $2000…it’s a total waste of money…I wish I read the reviews before I went#ahmctampa George D Don’t go here unless you want to be overcharged for services! I was told that day that services would be 300 dollars and that would be it for the total visit. Now I’m getting a bill for 2200.00. Apparently it’s 2395.00 just to walk in the door here. They gave my son a pill that costs 26.00 dollars and charged me over 2500.00 for a 5 minute visit with the doctor. No xrays, no bloodwork done, nothing! Basically told me to take him to a doctor, gave him a pill and here is your bill! Unreal!!!!! They are also related to Trinity Hospital which fees for service are outrageous! Do your research before going here!Jennifer Long⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was experiencing a horrible pain in my lower side. The staff was AMAZING! Amanda, Lauren, Dr cotton and Melissa were so sweet and knowledgeable! The IV Amanda gave me was painless; I didn’t even feel a pinch!! You can tell they all care deeply for their patients and are the best at what they do! You guys have a wonderful team here! I would recommend this place to anyone!Jacquelin Wester If you go here, make sure it is an the kind of Emergency where you cant make it anywhere else or you will die! I was charged almost $3k just for one hour in their standard emergency room. Plus all the fees for treatment, xrays and doctors. All staff was fine, but the fees as many others are saying, are unacceptable!!Heather McMillan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe best ER I’ve ever been to. Lydia is incredible and Dr. Cotton-Betteridge was so informative and helpful. I was in and out within 40 minutes. They’re always so quick with the whole process and do whatever it takes to make you comfortable. My kids have been seen here as well and the staff is always so sweet to them.Julie Cook Would not recommend. Try a different ER or go to a Walk-In Clinic. Dr. did not have the greatest bedside manner, Nurse came in to wrap my sons leg and couldn’t use scissors because she was left handed?? And she came in to do that before the Dr. came in to tell him it was broken. When the Dr came in it was like she could care less. The intake person couldn’t tell me if the Dr. bill was included in the ER visit or separate. Then the billing – robbery. Ridiculous what they charge. We visited another ER for a baseball injury a couple months ago – including xrays and that bill was a third of what this place was. Don’t go here if you can avoid it – try somewhere else. Gave 1 star because we were seen right away.David Zayas Short detail not really worth explaining it but they need an attitude adjustment I need you to help for a staph infection I am right back of my head and I was going through depression at the same time I felt uncomfortable with your professionalism they was overboard after being stereotyped I felt offended and actually and made me feel worse and I got up and walked out I actually left here feeling worse and never never got treated for what I went there for they made my depression greater someone needs to tell them that this is not a perfect world they’re all different types of people not everyone suicidal I know I’m not so I laughed at it when she asked me if I was suicidal seems to annoy her so I got a terrible attitude and I was not having it so now I probably expecting a bill for terrible service.. .{ here we go again on April 9th I get a feedback explaining the matter at hand they told me their procedures of how they handle things well this I already knew but the procedure and the attitude and the disrespect was not explained in the form of being a professional ER facility. Let’s make this simple they need an attitude adjustment they need to recognize something very simple. Different Strokes for different folks and if you cannot understand that everyone is different if you haven’t noticed like a fingerprint so they need an attitude adjustment we appreciate your services where are you guys are not God or above the law so please do not explained it do something about it try not to be a zero be a hero I hope the ER in Lutz understand the public depends on it and the taxpayers of the State of FloridaKent Welch⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad a minor issue that required medical care and went to the ER 24/7 in Lutz. They were super. They got me right in and saw me immediately. The nurses, doctors and even the administration person (forms) were thorough, caring, friendly and excellent at giving care. They were really great and I would recommend them.KLee Walkerr I have been here four times with mixed reviews; however, this last visit (5/19/2019), really sealed the deal. I brought my wife to this ER as she was exhibiting signs of obvious dehydration. The day prior she was diagnosed with Strep throat, which was severe, a double ear infection, and was told to go to the ER after 24 hours if she felt dehydrated. So, 24 hours later, my wife was dehydrated so I made the mistake of taking here to the listed ER establishment. The charge nurse, LYDIA, was initially not very friendly to begin with. Dr. Cotton-Betteridge eventually came in and decided my wife was dehydrated and needed fluids so he order her to receive IV fluids. My wife informed him her veins were typically hard to hit, however, he said it was fine and a nurse would be in soon. About a minute later, as LYDIA was making her way into the room she made a comment to the doctor, who was down the hall, she would just poke my wife until she finds a good vein. Already obviously annoyed, LYDIA then proceeds to tell my wife how she should just go home and suck on ice cubes and take care of her baby rather than being here and receiving an IV because, “This could be handled at home.” Keep in mind my wife could barely swallow and the DOCTOR had ordered the IV. Believe me, LYDIA’S opinion was definitley not wanted, needed, or appreciated. LYDIA was the most uncompassinate, arrogant, unprofessional nurse I have ever experienced. She made my wife feel TERRIBLE for coming in and for whatever reason felt the needed to bring our baby up, which was extremely unprofessional. We will absolutely never be back to this ER and we will never recommend it to others.Jodie DeMarco⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThankful to have this ER so close by, even more thankful that when I needed to be seen I got incredible care. Lydia, I honestly don’t think I can thank you enough. I’m so appreciative of the care you gave me. You went above any beyond to help calm me down and reassure me everything would be okay, both while I was there and tonight when I spoke to you. Huge thank you to Melissa as well, you ladies made a really scary night less scary. Selfishly I wish y’all were at my primary care provider! This hospital is really lucky to have to on staff. Thank you!! ❤️❤️Jess Pham Nope! Terrible experience. Not only did I Not see an MD, I was treated like a second class citizen. Sure, they’ll take my money but not give me a pillow or a Blanket. Billing came in before the “doctor” did. And guess who gave me the pillow and blanket? The sweet gal from billing did and certainly not the nurses. She was the only person with any real empathy there. They were compassionless winches who wouldn’t even do a simple X-ray for someone with writhing back pain. This was my fourth and last time going there and now I’m Done! Don’t even waste your money or Time. They just want you in and out and don’t really care about the quality of care that they offer. I’m so angry right now and left with no diagnosis, or plan of action, whatsoever. Don’t say I didn’t warn you and I’m sure my BIG bill for them doing nothing is right around the corner.Jonika Sawyer⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIt was my first visit and this location was very welcoming I almost forgot how much pain I was in! Thank you so much Dr.Dominguez, Amanda(charge nurse) and Melissa (RN) you ladies are wonderful! We shared a few great laughs through my speedy process out of there! Even Tim in security was quite pleasant! 5 STARS!VK Howard I arrived at this ER with a major leg infection/pain and swelling. The ER physician saw me for 2 minutes and gave me a script for antibiotics that did not help the infection at all after a week of taking it.I had to see my primary physician for the correct antibiotic for the infection.ER billed me $2500. for nothing. This ER’s medical staff are not thorough enough in their diagnosis of major medical issues .ER had a more urgent concern with who to bill and rush me out of there asap.I advise you should see an actual hospital ER for emergency medical help not this joke of an ER.Corey⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff here were all amazing. It is a nice facility too. They were extremely helpful.Carol Munson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVisited the Lutz ER tonight for a cat bite. Care was provided expediently by all staff members from admission to discharge. Amanda, my nurse was very Knowledgeable and attentive. Thank you for making the visit so “painless”.Lisa Holland My parents went here on a Sunday to have my mother’s leg checked. She had swelling and redness in one leg. Upon arrival, an RN stopped to asked them what they were there for in the lobby. They were told “this is an emergency room for emergencies only”. She tried to convince them to go to an urgent care facility instead. My dad persuaded her to please check them in as he is from out of town and does not really know his way around. Reluctantly she let them stay. The rest of the staff was friendly, however, a week later, the infection had spread to her other leg. They ended up in a different ER and she was admitted to the hospital. I will never take any of my family to this facility and I will be sure to let everyone know that it is silly to go here when you can go 5 minutes up the road and get top notch care and respect.Martha Shepherd I was taken by my husband because of shortness of breath, fever, and dehydration. They took me in and started doing tests, x-rays, etc. They diagnosed pneumonia and I needed to be hospitalized. I was already hooked to IV’s with antibiotics, hydrating, etc. They told me they would transfer me to Medical Center of Trinity.I did not wanted to go there because I had heard negative reviews of their care and outrageous prices. I did not know, nor was there any sign that the ER I went to was connected to Trinity. They told me the ambulance ride was free. I was feeling very sick, vulnerable and already hooked to machines. I got to Trinity to a very fancy room at about 3pm. I waoted for the assigned doctor to see me, Amy Strobbe, and she didn’t show up The nurses vallef her numerous times from my room throughout the night and she didn’t return calls. I had a horrible headache, body aches, and everything that goes with pneumonia. She showed up 27 hours after I was admitted and told she had already done her rounds before I was admitted and she had a privaye practice. Needless to say it wasn’t a pleasant conversation and I wanted out of there. She proceeded to tell me that I not only had pneonia, but SIRS, systemic inflammatory response syndrome. I agree to stay another night, even though I was feeling worse than when I got there. The second night was worse, so I left. I was hospitalized 2 days and they didn’t do any procedures. I called my insurance, so they would investigate and not pay their bill. It is really a 5 stat hotel, with no doctor’s. Two weeks latet, I went to Advent Health in Tampa and they found an obstruction in my lung and performed a biopsy All in 24 hours with doctor’s around the clock. Now, I get a bill from Trinity were they billed my insurance $21,249.00. And my part is $800. I don’t know what is wrong with our medical system and a ER that does not disclose it’s association with a hospital. Advent advertises it’s ER’s to the hospitals. .Mary Sommise⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThank you so much to the team at ER 24/7 in Lutz! Who knew a broken toe could hurt so bad! Laura, Jerry, Dr. Dominguez, Matt and Carmen – you were attentive, kind and thorough. Thank you for your professionalism, care and concern.Jason Metz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy son fell off of his bike and fractured & dislocated his left pinky today. After a visit to an Urgent Care facility, we were advised to visit an ER for the proper treatment. We chose this facility because it was close to home. We were seen very quickly by Rosanne, RN, who was extremely kind and patient. Dr. Woods had a great bedside manner and fully explained what she was doing to help. Matt, the x-ray technician, was very friendly and efficient. The other nurses, Laura & Angela were also very nice. Overall, a very positive experience.Paula Wilson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent care from Dr.Wood, nurses Laura & Cindy! No waiting time, courteous, kind & professional. Customer Care person Carmen made check out a breeze! I will recommend to others. Thank you! Paula WilsonDrew Phillips⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe name shows my husbands instead of mine, but I CAN NOT EXPRESS THE AMAZING CARE I received here. I am one of those people that doesn’t like to go to the doctor for anything….I am a chicken !! I woke up in very bad discomfort and felt the need to get some care ASAP. I went to closest place to get help at 2am. It was ER 24/7 in Lutz. Let me remind you I was sooo scared waking in…WOW I was treated so amazing. From the security guard Tim, to the moment I walked in the door. My nurse Melissa, she was so heartwarming made me feel very comfortable. Explained things to me and took such, I mean it …such great care of me. Amanda was kind also checking to see if I needed anything and asking how I was feeling. Dr. Wood was the physician that treated me, and when I say she “‘s Incredibly caring is an understanment. She treated me like I was her family. She went above and beyond to answer my questions hear me out and discuss with me. I just can not say enough how GREATFUL I am to have had them there for me. True Blessing to have ER 24/7 Lutz, so close with such a sweet caring group. Thank You Ladies I have already Told 10 people about how wonderful it was there !!!!!Crystal Adrion⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent in at 2am due to my husband having a sore throat and cough. Dr. Murales and the two nurses Sam and Lydia cared for us. Nurse lydia, was so helpful, relatable, and kind. She really kept us informed and was involved with our overall care. I highly recommend coming here and I recommend even more seeing Lydia!Julie Paine Was injured in an accident out of state. That accident was not typical car-car it was car-cargo trailer (I was inside trailer when accident happened). Got flipped onto my back injuring my shoulders and back; after which, removing the UHaul trailer from the now scratched up backside of my new MB GL 450, the trailer was dropped on my foot by the U-Haul personnel. I told both the intake nurse it was an accident and the physician. However, in reviewing the documents for court (U-Haul needs to pay for the vehicle damage), I was told the physician never mentioned my back nor my shoulders. Further, he failed to address these with me that day as well simply telling me my foot was not broken. It got worse, however. I was charged for the visit however, as an accident, it should have been fully billed under my auto policy (GEICO) who were fully aware of what was happening. However, because of the physician mishandling, the nurse intake mishandling, the billing department not being advised appropriately, the bill got half-paid by my health insurance company (wrongfully, they should pay nothing). That error (by 24/7) left a balance that I’ve since sent several certified, return receipt letters indicating the Geico address, and claims adjuster so the clinic can be paid in full. At one point, I called a very disinterested number for the OH billing department Trinity uses and got a rude, extremely curt woman indicating she didn’t care that Geico was responsible she wanted to know when I was paying for the bill. Then had the audacity to tell me she didn’t care what information I gave her, the only information she wanted was my credit card information. I’m still being asked to pay for it. 100% should be paid by Geico but because of inadequate physician training/knowledge/care? I have to fix his mistakes with billing. Don’t go here.Michael Bradley Avoid this place! There is a reason it’s rated 3 & 1/2 stars. Fell down, went in for a x ray to make sure of no fracture. In and out in roughly 20 minutes. Almost $1900 for getting the x ray and almost $2400 for sitting on a bed for 15 minutes. Oh and the doctor? $600. Total bill over $4300 AFTER United healthcare discount. Don’t tell me to call Bernadette either, that was worthless. Ok updated review, so I pay the bill with a 20% discount for paying in full and five days later I get a updated bill showing my payment, a balance of $760 and no discount! The epay patient portal is a joke too. Never could get any information out of it.TJ inFlorida Went to ER with an surface eye corneal abrasion from debris getting in and damaging the surface. I knew I had a corneal abrasion, I saw it in my mirror earlier reflecting my camera flashlight off the surface of my eye, I also know the feeling of a corneal abrasion because I’ve had it happen a few times before. It was after hours for me to go to my doctor at Florida Medical Clinic so I decided to go to the Lutz ER to make sure I didn’t have any additional debris in my eye that could cause significant infection between that point and seeing my doctor tomorrow. I went to the ER and discussed with a security guard what I needed to confirm if there was any additional dirt or debris in my eye I needed to know if they had any Ophthalmology equipment on site to look at my eye for any debris he didn’t know he asked the triage nurse to come up and talked to me. I again asked the triage nurse if they had had any Ophthalmology equipment on site to check out my eye to make sure there was no additional debris in my eye. The triage nurse would not answer the question in the lobby so she asked me to come back to a room I again asked in the room after explaining how the injury happens if they had any Ophthalmology equipment on site to look at my eye. She begins to take down my name weight if I had any allergic reactions to medication but didn’t answer my question. I’ve had this injury before I know the protocols are for examination and treatment. The triage nurse walks out for about 5 minutes. I’m thinking she’s checking to see if they have any Ophthalmology equipment. Nope she walks in with all this equipment to give me blood pressure test heart rate all this good stuff she said she needed to check me in. I then asked how much this is going to cost because I’m fee-for-service no insurance. She wouldn’t tell me, but made sure to tell me that this is an emergency hospital emergency room . I then reiterated the fact that I just needed to have my eye looked at to make sure there’s no additional debris in the eye. If there was then I would have to check in to get it out. if not then I could pay a service fee and leave that’s all I was looking for. I didnt feel I needed to be checked-in in until there was a reason to check me in. I still hadn’t have my question answered if they had the proper equipment to even look at my eye give me any idea of approximately how much this is going to cost. The triage nurse was adamant that she had to go through giving me these tests in order to check me and before they could do anything else. Again the question of whether they had Ophthalmology equipment on site was not answered so I said no thank you. got up and said I’m not going have blood pressure, temperature etc etc then find out you don’t have the equipment or personnel to address my situation . Then I get some $3,000 bill sent to me in the mail for absolutely nothing. In closing, when a patient asks a question about whether you have certain equipment on site you need to tell him beforehand. Don’t be evasive and non-responsive. Not everybody is ignorant of medical scenarios situations and protocols and what equipment is needed to address their specific injuries. A simple question being answered was all I was initially looking for if you had the equipment to look at my eye if you did I probably would have checked in but you were evasive and non-responsive so I leftYenis Lorenzo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI can honestly say that since our first experience at this ER with our newborn, I have felt such a sense of relief that we live so close to it. Every time we have had an emergency, we have been welcomed with little to no wait time at this ER. The nurses are always quick to check us in and address the problem. Nurse Lydia and Dr. Cotton have been the constant friendly faces that have attended to our daughter’s needs when needed. As a worried mom, I find a sense of relief that they take their time to explain the situation and all of our options. I would strongly recommend this ER location!Corrie W⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have to say, I was so impressed by the facility and staff. Every person we met was kind and caring. Our charge nurse Lydia was fantastic and spent tons of time with us talking about our situation. We got to the facility and we were in a room within 1 minute of arrival. We used the separate pediatric entrance and didn’t encounter any other patients. As silly as it sounds while getting the details on why we were there they brought my son a bear and a ball which he loved. I would highly recommend this facility.Eileen Verduzco I called to ask if they were equipped with baby monitors and ultrasound equipment. I didn’t have an emergency just a slight concern and every urgent clinic around, was not equiped with the equipment needed for pregnant woman. When I ask the ER employee on the phone, she said, ” I think so…um I’m not sure let me check.” But before she even made the attempt to verify, she began to ask me why I was asking that question and that I was calling an ER facility. I told her I knew exactly where I was calling and wanted to make sure before I made the visit and get charge 250 with my insurance. She was really rude and responded with, “Well this is an ER and you will get charged for an ER.” AS IF I WASNT AWARE OF THAT. Please train your front desk people right. I will never trust going to a place where the staff can’t even provide adequate information. She was so useless and just made ER 27/4 look bad.Tim Decker⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went there on 5/21 for nausea and dehydration. I was taken in immediately and the nurses were absolutely amazing. My nurse was Melisa and she was the nicest person and super helpful. I saw Dr. logudice and helped me get better and his bedside manner was very good. This was the second time here and I’m very impressed with the service you get here. I like this E/R better than the hospital E/R. Keep up the amazing work. I will use you again if I ever need to return..Susan Barlow⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI brought my husband in on Monday night having severe chest pain. Dr. Nuss, Amanda, and Sam immediately took him in and within minutes he was diagnosed with a heart attack. He was cared for with the utmost compassion and respect. He was transported to Medical Center of Trinity to the cath lab and the blockage was cleared in less than 90 minutes. Without their quick actions, my husband would not be with me today. Thanks for the amazing care.Chen Chen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast. I was introduced right away in the exam room. The staff was very nice and kind. The doctor explained everything clearly. My kids were given toys so that they were not too bored.J Pham When we first came in the doctors’s bedside manner was terrible. I had an attitude because I thought he had an attitude so we agreed that we just needed to start over. Everything went smooth from there. As far as her Care goes it was great. I’m not giving it five stars because I felt like the doctor, who is working with a child, should’ve been a lot fluffier when doing pediatrics. ****went back today and it was just as bad as the last time but stayed terrible. They were rude and uncaring and were more concerned in rushing me out of there. They didn’t even offer me a pillow or blanket when I was writhing in back pain. And they refused to do an X-ray. I couldn’t even stand up straight and your not even going to do any X-ray? Never ever again. They are out of chances. This place sucks and don’t waste your time or money.Pallas Knight⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy husband went here last night to get stitches. He didn’t wait long and they were very compassionate.karen m⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff was very kind. They were very fast. I was seen by a doctor within 10 minutes. Very thorough in explaining what was happening and my follow up instructions. Will definitely recommend!!Johanna Miller⭐️⭐️⭐️Positives and negatives….closer to my house than St. Joe’s North however not worth the visit. Son had pink eye the doctor came in glanced him over said its viral not bacterial there’s nothing I can give him to make it better he’ll just have to wait it out. He didn’t flush the ooze from his eyes, wipe his eyes, so my son left in pain and we listened and waited it out for a few days and did as they directed….didn’t go away. After my sons eye’s swole shut black and blue and filled with ooze I went to a real ER at St. Joe’s North where the honestly cared for my son, wiping his eyes, placing antibiotic gel in his eyes, and doing what should’ve been done in the 1st place prescribed him antibiotics….and since my son had a cold with the pink eye he ended up with a severely painful ear infection due to the lack of concern for my child. I rate the overall facility a 3 stars however I feel the doctors or at least the doctor I dealt with needs more training or needs to be more empathetic and caring. I will not be going back to their location.Jessica Norr
