Gabriela Diaz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy birth and maternity experience was amazing! From start to end they took amazing care of me. Each staff member went above and beyond to make me comfortable, they were completely helpful in every way. The rooms were clean, the food was great 3 meals you get to pick from a menu(get the vanilla milkshakes) they provided everything you needed and more from the basic supplies to snacks! The hospital will make sure daddy is comfortable as well, provide food and a bed for him as well! Delivering here was the best choice we could have made.Rickie Kravitz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFrom registration to surgery to after care this was the most pleasant experience in a hospital I have ever experienced!! The nurses are diligent and friendly making the patient feel right at ease. They listen and take action when necessary. I had meniscus surgery and I was so happy with my Doctor and Anesthesiologist. Thank you for making this such a great experience!!Michelle Rogers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is based on two ER visits in the last week. My OB and PCP (not affiliated with the hospital) tried to hand me off to the other person until they both shrugged and said “go to an ER.” I’m so glad I did. At 22 weeks pregnant and very sick with viral related asthma exacerbations, I was helped immediately the first time I went. It was faster to be seen there than going to the urgent care I had tried earlier in the week. Adam was an amazing nurse and Dr M was careful about treating me safely. My asthma was fully under control in 3 hours. Given that I had been in near constant asthma attack state for 3 days, that was wonderful. Two days later I had to go back, this time because the steroid I was given to strengthen my lungs was making me sick to my stomach and I was dehydrated (no one’s fault. I just had a bad reaction). They did more extensive testing, gave me meds for home, treated my dehydration and continued respiratory issues, and were so much more helpful than my regular PCP for giving advice and helping me keep from needing to come back. Bernardo the RN was a wizard with my IV (I’m a really hard stick and worse when dehydrated) and Laura C the PA was so thorough, sweet and patient even though I know it was a terrible flu night and they must have been very very busy. Thanks to all.pinkphoenix1111⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This O.R same day was way more professional than Jersey Shore. The staff was nice enough to me. I had a procedure a few years ago. I’ll never forget the loud obnoxious brute named Darlene though. Why you people hire loud mouth gossips like her , I don’t get it. She tossed my blanket at me then continued her loud gossip at the desk. Total trash.Michael Buhler⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNot what I remember before I left for ten years… GREAT TURN AROUND RIVERVIEW!!! I wish I could give you more than 5 stars here!!!Jodie HuberBilling nightmare! My wife was treated for cognitive therapy at Riverview Hospital after a stroke. The therapists were very good. But the billing department is awful. The issue started with the doctor’s prescription for the therapy having an incorrect code, so when Riverview Hospital submitted the claim to Aetna insurance the claim was rejected. So Riverview Hospital billed us for $3,006.64. Aetna told us to have Riverview hospital resubmit the claim with the correct code and that it would be accepted. So Riverview Hospital asked us to have the doctor fax them an updated prescription with correct code. The doctor faxed Riverview hospital the correct code on 12/23/19. On 1/6/20, Riverview hospital confirmed they received the updated prescription with corrected code. On 2/4/20, We received another bill from Riverview for $3,006.64. I called Aetna to see why it hadn’t paid the claim. Aetna said the claim was never resubmitted by Riverview Hospital with the correct code. So I called Riverview Hospital to ask why they never resubmitted the updated claim to Aetna. Riverview hospital said its upper management decided that it would not resubmit the claim since therapy was already “rendered” under incorrect code. I told Riverview that Aetna says they will pay the claim if Riverview hospital resubmits claim with updated code. Riverview said they will not resubmit claim because that is their policy. I asked Riverview Hospital if we should have to pay $3,006.64 over a mistake that could be rectified by simply resubmitting the claim with the correct code. Riverview hospital then said the original mistake was due to the doctor, so we should be discussing this billing problem with the doctor. Even though Aetna says only Riverview Hospital can resubmit the claim, since it provided the services. So now we owe Riverview $3,006.64 because its upper management decided they do not want to resubmit a claim that Aetna says it would pay. WOW! I’m speechless.Tracey HarkeyHorrible place to be. Only giving 1 star because I cant give 0. I left a message for patient services with my many many concerns about a hospital stay and things that were done and not done. And no one has called me back. My mother went in for a simple hernia repair and was still there a week later. Not seen by a medical doctor until day 5. And only because I kept complaining. My advice. Go somewhere else. If your surgeon doesnt have privileges at another hospital, find another surgeon. Maybe posting on social media will get someones attention.Greg and Missy BattistaWe had to go to the emergency yesterday due to pain level of 10 because of kidney stones. The nurses were great and the staff wonderful. Sadly the on call doctor Dr. Vladu was the opposite. My husband was in pain and Dr Vladu said “pain never killed anyone “ and when my husband was discharged from the hospital Dr. Vladu refused to give him more than 3 days of pain meds. Despite the fact we can’t get an appointment before January 3rd with the urologist to do the procedure necessary to break up the stones providing relief. Dr. Vladu said if he’s in pain he has to be hospitalized to receive pain meds. Despite the fact that Percocet provides relief to my husband Dr Vladu prefers that he be hospitalized for almost two weeks during Christmas and New Years. When my husband could be at home pain free with family. Very sad and not a good doctor.Melinda Bruck⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI am not sure why this place is only 3 stars. I’ve been here twice now-once for imaging and once to the women’s health center. I’ve always had a pleasant experience and not to mention the building, location and views are gorgeous. The staff is friendly too and no long waits. Definitely going back here again.Staci FlyLet me preface this by saying that RMC was always a top notch facility but it most definitely has gone down. My fiance called member services twice to explain the situation (give his version), he never received a return call as promised. This isn’t written to have anyone reprimanded or worse, the word however must get out so things can be taken seriously and corrected. He had a 3.5 delay prior to surgery because the surgeon was running behind. Okay, things happen. He understands that. That being said, it actually took a bit longer. When he was finally taken he had asked the anesthesiologist for some pepcid in his iv. Roughly 18 hours without eating or drinking and almidt 24 hours since taking his G.I., meds, he was feeling queasy and ravenously hungry. The doctor told him no as they didn’t have any. What??!! Once in recovery room he as said nurse hadn’t made their presence know. Sure, perhaps groggy, nobody was watching him. Dangerous! When I was called back along with his daughter to see him, we too noticed how nobody approached him whatsoever. He had to use the restroom. He hit the button for assistance. A nurse finally approached him. I asked who his nurse was. After a long pause, we were told his nurse Janet went off shift long ago. (We know that as she told him long before his surgery. Nobody else EVER came to replace her). Fast forward to post surgery….. the nurse asked said he didn’t have a nurse per se as they were short staffed but that they all work together. That’s wonderful however he hadn’t seen anyone since Janet left or seen anyone after his surgery. We assistanted him to the restroom the thre ed times after initially asking the nurse. He was needing pain meds, complete chaos and time wasted before he finally got tylenol 3. The nurse said how he just shouldn’t be having any pain. Ummmm, excuse me, he did. Look to help. More time lapsed and his daughter looked for someone to ask when he might be discharged. ” Oh, he’s ready to go home”? I overheard in the background. A nurse came to take his iv line out but NEVER were his vitals EVER checked while we were there. He was sent home not only like that but without any discharge instructions. This in unacceptable.Ryan OKeefe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff is top notch and the nurses managed to make my birthday in a hospital a little better. Thank you Jill, Sabrina and Lenny you really go the extra mile to make patients feel better. One Man’s JunkAvoid at all costs. If you thought the service and care provided was bad wait until you have to deal with the billing department!Lou S⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Really good experiences here. Staff is polite, caring, and competent. Lopping off 1 star because the wife, who’s had to come here several times, had one bad/weird experience with an ultrasound because the tech was a bit strange and made the ultrasound uncomfortable. But the hospital is very well run, extremely clean, and the view of the Navesink River in the waiting area is stunning.Krystal KelleyAfter numerous of disappointing encounters with Stephanie Reynolds, the ER Physician, I have had enough. This woman is extremely uncaring, inattentive, and always has an nasty tone. She proceeds to sit on her cell phone when speaking to patients, and she did nothing to help my sick infant, or ease my mind about my visit. I will not be returning to Riverview Emergency Department strictly because of DR. Reynolds unprofessionalism and unkindness.Chrissy Reinglas⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe drove the extra few miles to Riverview, where I was seen right away and the staff was so pleasant. I 100% recommend this hospital!Getti K⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIf you’re looking for first-class experience during labor and post-delivery, this is it. The staff was exceptional and my assigned nurse one of the most empathetic and knowledgeable people – i truly felt I was in good hands with her. My delivery room faced the beautiful Navesink River and my ob-gyn dropped in every so often to check on me, of course. I felt the hospital was well prepared for my baby’s arrival and i was offered something to eat and drink shortly upon delivery (when the excitement made me forget i needed to!). You will receive access to a private concierge and the spa, as well as a 3-course menu to choose from. The food is not bad, despite being hospital food. I was allowed to order from some of my favorite restaurants in town. Thank you for making this process as comfortable and easy as you did!Jay StefanelliServed moldy cheese. The server was indifferent about it.Bill WhiteWhile Riverview has saved my life 2x and my wife’s 1x i can not give a positive review. Nurses are great – caring, responsive, and skilled. Hospitalist MD’s dont speak understandable English and dont have time to actually care for patients. Have experienced 3 and 4 S with superb nurses. Sadly the kitchen is beyond acceptable and the physical plant is abominable. Sheets this time on a fresh bed were already soiled and grudgingly changed with excuses when I complained. Hole in wall – explained as “minor issue – we’ll get it it!” $ spent on outside And public spaces not on patient space And care. Would go elsewhere if given a choice.kenneth lewandowski⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe one and only time there was when my wife and 3 children were in a head on motor vehicle collision by an 18 year old male that was texting. He crossed into my wife’s lane and hit them at 40 mph. We went to Riverview and my family received the best care possible by the Emergency Department staff. I highly recommend this hospital.Carolyn Kenney⭐️⭐️The two stars are for the view! Only! Because the name of the hospital should actually be… “River-rediculousnesss, but there is a great view.” They keep you forever, let you develop a pressure ulcer, because they don’t get you out of bed and ignore you! You are so supposed to pay for these services! The nurse’s are excellent! But the nurse practitioner’s and case managers that are running that place, or should I say, ruining that hospital, are beyond help!!!! They don’t give you choices and then tell you… “Well we’ll see what we can do.. but we can’t make any promises” and then chuckle at the patient as they leave the room smiling! I am a healthcare provider and have never seen or experienced such blatant unprofessionalism! Those poor, poor patients that are stuck trapped going through that hospital! Linda the SW is the worst!Meri07⭐️⭐️⭐️I gave this hospital 3 stars because the care that I received was good. That being said, the morons in the billing department get a half of a star. I went to Riverview in December for an emergency appendectomy. About a month later, I got a bill for 1150.00 dollars. One of the items on the bill was a 950 charge for a cataract lens. Yeah, a cataract lens! I called these morons every time I got the bill and told them to fix it! They couldn’t figure out why the bill was not being fixed. This went on for months! They finally fixed the damned bill to only include my 200 dollar emergency room copay. The only problem is, the bill said final notice on it and it stated that I was going to be sent to collections for not paying it!!!! I didn’t pay the bill because they screwed it up! I wasn’t about to pay any part of the bill until they fixed it. I didn’t want to be held responsible for paying for a cataract lens! I should have called my insurance company and reported the hospital for fraud for trying to have me pay for somebody else’s cataract lens! CHECK YOUR BILLS!!! If I hadn’t looked at my bill really hard, I might have ended up paying it by accident. I went line by line to see why I was being charged so much and that is how I found the cataract lens charge. The terminology that they used for the cataract was confusing. I had to look up the terminology on the internet to find out that they were charging me for a cataract lens! Be careful and like I said, go over your bills with a fine toothed comb!!!!!Sahil Jha⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest hospital and an amazing staff for birth class, baby delivery and postpartum. Thanks to Dr. Loh-Collado, Dr. Karoly, nurse Tanya and many other medical and non-medical staff who helped my wife with her delivery and postpartum recovery. There was not a single person we met, whom we were annoyed with.George ZinkThe hospital has gone down hill in recent years. The ER is a joke! I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and once in the emergency room I waited at least 45 mins to see a doctor if you can call her that. She order a CT which took over 2 hours to get me too. They said I had an infection of the lymph node. Nothing more. prescribed a weak antibiotic and sent me on my way. Went home on Tuesday I was told by both my GP and ENT doctor that I had a serious abscess and needed IV antibiotics. My GP called Riverview to have me admitted. The ER nurse prepped me for an IV told me I was being admitted but told me she needed the ER doctors order to start the IVs and to give me main meds. At that time on their scale the pain was a ten plus. After 3 hours my wife literally had to grab the ER doctor by his lab coat and demanded that he see me. He looked at me and maybe a minutes told the nurse to start the IVs for both antibiotics and pain meds. about and hour later I was taken up to my room in ICU. I was told by 2 staff doctors that the CT showed no abscess it was just a severe infection. However they wanted an oral surgeon to see me. The oral surgeon saw me on a Thursday night and immediately told me that I had several abscess. He scheduled me for surgery the next day to remove an impacted wisdom tooth and to drain the abscess. Which turns out that I had 3 pockets of. Was released on Fathers Day and sent home. Still being treated by the oral surgeon. The quacks in the CT department can’t read the cat scans at all. This has been a full month ordeal and is still ongoing. On my latest cat scan the quack says I have another abscess the oral surgeon says no. Who do you believe. Since I am not completely healed yet and have another CT to be Scheduled in two weeks to make certain the infections are gone and the abscess are gone.elise millea⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAfter 3 hospitalizations in NY hospitals and being misdiagnosed I brought my sister to Riverview Medical Center where she received the very best of care from the excellent nursing staff the PCTs transport Everyone there, they couldn’t have been kinder, and compassionate team. Thanks to the team on 3 south, the pulmonologist and cardiologist my sister will receive life saving surgery up in Hackensack University Hospital we are eternally grateful to Riverview Medical Center for the outstanding care and finally correctly diagnosing hergerell schmittWorst experience ever. I definitely won’t be returning to that hospital… the nurses there suck and the attitude of the doctors was just as badEdward DeFabioI can’t even give one star for my experience tonight with my grandson. First he was sent for an x-ray on the wrong leg. After the right x-ray was taken, it was never read. The staff was no help and the nurse practitioner disappeared. Think twice about going here- it will never be the same since it became a part of Hackensack MeridianSusan Tinger⭐️⭐️The hospital couldn’t wait to get my uncle back to rehab even though he was not ready. He has been back and forth from rehab to the hospital 3 times. The hospital needs to make sure he is well before sending him back. The hospitalist didnt care about our concerns. He was rude. This will now be the fourth time back to rehab.Akeira Simons-Pines⭐️⭐️My personal experience going into the ER friday was VERY judgmental and uncomfortable due to the PA. I explained to the PA what was going on AFTER she knew and proceeded to be loud about a very personal and delicate situation I was dealing with. She yelled “well obviously it worked!” After hearing about the situation she proceeded to be judgmental. I told them I was afraid of needles and sometimes pass out. The PA proceeded and sat on my right side by her computer and used my left arm awkwardly positioned across me the entire time drawing blood, I didn’t know which way to look. The PA proceeded to shake the blood in my face after telling her Im not well with things like this. She had no care in the world, it was not even busy so I can’t even give her that. The disrespect was out of this world. It was very uncomfortable for me until I left that environment and finally met my very kind and concerned nurse and doctor helping me with my situation. Just thankful for them and the help they gave me. I usually don’t make reviews but this situation was and still is serious as I was treated unfairly, with no comfortability or respect. Just saying, in the hospitality environment Im sure people should be respectful and maybe have some empathy if not fake it. You are in a field to care for people not treat them bad.B Rodriguez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazed by the labor and delivery department and postpartum. Just delivered my baby girl this week and i could not have asked for better staff. Every nurse i had was well trained, attentive, caring, friendly, just amazing. The doctors were great, and communicated well. This has made my family experience so much more relaxing and focused. The hospital was very clean, and organized. And they always made sure you were stocked. The food was great and they were on top of the three meals a day. I recommend the milk shakes lol. But again i want to thank the staff, nurses, and doctors that were there for me this week. You are all an amazing team please continue to do what you do daily and know you are appreciated! Thank you again!Abraham Anthony ShalabyLower Level 1 may benefit from better accommodations skills with pregnant patients. Pregnant women are not permitted to have sealed food and beverage by visitors, nor are they given an adequate amount to eat. If you know of anyone at that floor please tell them to bring this up as a concern as first priority after more severe things because food has a lot to do with the mood.Beth Derrico⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedRecently I had to take a family member to Riverview Medical Center Emergency room. Many of the staff members were very pleasant and kind. The nurse DIANA was excellent at her job. She made my family member and myself feel comfortable . She took the time to listen to our situations. She went above and beyond her job. She was able to point out what could be wrong and she was correct. She even willing to give suggestion on what we could do and options we had. Diana is a great asset in Riverview Medical center.Sandra email@example.comSame thing as others . Poor staffing. Poor service Poor food. …not even towels to wash!Gabriella BIf you want to die get your tomb stone now work with Dr.Mullarney Dr.Zukoff. Our 1st experience with this hospital.Horrible experience from our first step in emergency room for chest pains.my Moms arteries ended up being collapsed. Great experience with Dr.’s Dr. Dewan and nurse manager Nicholas CardinaleHopes and Dreams TarotTerrible experience in the emergency room. Once in a room I waited 30 minutes before seeing a nurse. She put in IV and took blood. Was ignored for another 30 minutes. PA came in. Said she would send in doctor. Waited another 30 minutes. During all this time had extreme stomach pain. Pain was an 8 on their scale. Finally saw a doctor. He was very dismissive and didn’t care about the pain I was in and did nothing for my condition (no tests). Eventually he ordered medication to be put in my IV andn then wanted to send me on my way with no stomach medicine. I demanded he call my GI doctor and prescribe me new medicine. My GI doctor sent me there. Never again will I go there.Ms. KalloAfter coming to the hospital after work I found my mom half naked in a chair and no sheets on the bed. She was left there lethargic with a sheet wrapped around her neck. This was totally unacceptable and I immediately made a complaint. Their own staff couldn’t believe the situation. Clearly there is too much covering up going on in this hospital because the asst manager had a bunch of excuses and did not reprimand the people in charge of my mother.leon russomanodr dominick grosso refuzed to refer me to.cardiologist. sold me out to insurance companies heart attack followed by stroke IN WHEELCHAIR 31/2 yearsShannon Connor⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI visited the ER at Riverview last evening at 9:30 PM for a scary reaction I was having to a new antibiotic prescribed by my doctor. They were kind, fast, and solved my problem using an IV drip with a combination of medicines. I was out of there in an hour and a half. They were sure to get a through medical history from me at intake and asked many times about what medications I was currently taking so they were sure not to administer drugs that would counteract with my current regiment. They were also sure to thoroughly explain what was happening to me, made me aware of potential side effects of each medication they were administering, and gave me ample opportunity to ask questions of my own. I was very impressed and grateful for the help.Theresa ValenzaTriage nurse takes your vitals and has you explain your issue behind a desk in the waiting room so the whole place can hear your business. Ever heard of HIPPA!?????Rafael CarreroI wish I could give this place a zero. I’ve never seen a place were the nurses just don’t care. My wife’s been here for 3 days and we have to constantly remind them when her antibiotics are due. We paige for the nurse and they get here 3 hours later after we called 3 or 4 times for them and then take another hour to bring her pain medication. It’s just unprofessional. Their’s no excuse for this kind of service. It’s crazy how even the patient that was next to her was going through the same thing and ends up passing away. Read a comment from these reviews and I will say the same thing. It’s a great place to come if you want to die!!Melissa BoyarskiI have always loved coming to the riverview medical center. Unfortunately every experience isnt the same and most recently my mother went in for surgery and spent a few nights. There is this one PM nurse Yvonne, she has been unacomidating to even the simplest requests. At the end of the day being in pain is enough but then having to deal with a mean attitude and no bed side mannor is just not right.pRamon RestoWorst Emergency services ever. I have been around the world and to several hospitals and this has to be one of the slowest. Been waiting for an hour with a 3 year old with 105 fever and still waiting. What the fk! Don’t come if you even remotely love your kids.Bailey Mcelroy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedthere was this amazing security guard he helped me and my dad out his name was lawrenceJJ Justice⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is a hospital of my dreams, super friendly people, everything to you is explained before they work on you and your room has free cable tv and free wifi. You r sheets are not cold like most other hospitals give you, but here they are warmed. the bed you lay on is actually comfortable with lumbar support, now that is a surprise.Gary Weilheimer⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedprofessional, personnal, caring. can not thank them enough, their follow up is excellent. thanks for your supportWhitney⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI checked myself in for a mental break. The lower level one group helped me more than they possibly could imagine, amazing staff!!!Tina RagoI wish I could actually give this facility 0 stars. The ambulatory colonoscopy department is filled with the most incompetent personnel to grace a hospital, it’s an embarrassment and a disgrace… horrific… That’s all I can say
