Before you go to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Lakeland emergency room think.
Emilio Cordoba⭐️⭐️The Children’s ER let us in fairly quickly. They could not tell me with certainty what caused my son to throw up. Gave him a sip of water and waited a few minutes. Since he didn’t throw up we were told to leave and they sent the medication to a 24 hour pharmacy. The pharmacy they sent it to was closed. They sent it to another pharmacy which is also closed. We were told to return if he throws up again which he did. Then they said we would have to pay all again for another visit..margarita aguileraMy mother was at the ER around 3 weeks ago. The nurses were good. The Doctor who took care of her. Pretty sure his name was Dr Beach, he is a tall, bald guy with blue eyes. He didn’t introduced himself at all. Had to get his name from the nurses, he didn’t show any compassion at all for my mom’s pain and not bedside manners at all. He reduced the fracture. He didn’t wait for the medications to start working. Not recommending him at all. He can probably thinks he can get away with anything just for the fact he is a doctor. Feeling sorry for him. He is just in the healthcare for the money not for the compassion this career requires. Ashamed of himselfRuben YagoMy mom went to this hospital yesterday, for bleeding that has been going on for 9 days today makes it 10 days. Dr.David Smith was her attending physician. He ordered blood work, Ultrasound, and pap. The nurse started a IV, but never put the line! Ok after explaining that my great aunt died last year and my grandmother (both sisters) died of endometrial carcinoma ( mind you both had the same symptoms) the ER physician never ever considered my mother’s wishes of having her uterus removed has it had been discussed while there. His intentions from the moment she got there was to put her on hormones. My mother reluctantly said no. The doctor showed no empathy, no compassion. He didn’t wish to listen to my mother. All he said I understand. He never ever read her the results of her US which shows their could be the possibility of a malignancy. Thank goodness my mother knows how to read US reports and knows the meanings as she works in the medical field. Going to Orlando for my mother’s Medical Care… Their was no Ethics has their handbook states. If I can give 000 stars I would! Service Sucked!!!Milton MorenoFirst time there, just moved to Lakeland. The visit was very bad. First there’s isn’t any privacy when you first register. The next step was ok the nurse was polite and helpful. Then they took us to the room. The doctor arrived shortly after entering the room. He was not interested in knowing my wife’s medical history only what she was feeling at the moment. The issue was not resolved. Second time in a ER for her and the experience was horrible. We never experiences anything like that in Orlando.Justin WarrenYou can tell the staff is under paid and hates their jobs. The 20 min drive to Brandon was well worth it. Would be nice to hear just one story of something going right in that building. If i could have given 0 stars I would have.Eleanora Hopkins⭐️⭐️⭐️I took my mom here as a request from the nursing home. Everyone was excellent and caring. The reason I gave only 3 stars is because of the time we spent in the ER before getting a room. We got here at 6pm, all test were completed in efficient time. But… it is now 12:10am and we are still here waiting for them to clean the room she is going to. Are you kidding me!!! This is totally unacceptable!!! I could understand if we were waiting for test results….but to clean a room??? Come on people where is the breakdown in communication???Gloria Jenkins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I had read other reviews weeks before being seen in this ER…I must say the reviews were disheartening..I was seen in ER yesterday and wad treated with compassion…wait time not bad..Dr Gillespie and nurse Amanda were great…overall assessment…4 stars…Thankful for caring and competent medical professionals….God BlessShelley ReinacherI wish I could give a zero. We had an absolutely horrible experience at this ER. My husband had severe stomach pain, actually doubling over. We had no idea what was going on. There were many patients waiting and honestly not one person went back to see a doctor while we were there which was 30 minutes. It was also very dirty. I actually saw 2 others patients leave because of the waiting. The staff was not friendly or caring. After taking my husband’s vitals, they said to sit and wait despite the obvious severity of his pain. I even said look how much pain he is in and I’m concerned it’s appendicitis. The person then said sorry, you’ll have to wait. We left and went to the ER at Bartow Medical. They were friendly, caring and immediately took him back to see a doctor and we were treated with respect and kindness. We will never go back to Lakeland Regional ER! Someone needs to get this ER under control.tammy greenSome where, @ some point, America took the care out of healthcare. It seems to be all about revenue not renew. The kind face, the soft voice, the comforter, seems to be lost in the hustle.Leon Stewart⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe were blessed enough to have our baby here in November. The new maternity building is state of the art and second to none. They have wireless monitors for mother and baby, jacuzzi style tub for dealing with labor pains and are up to date with the latest labor techniques. The staff wasn’t just nice courteous as you’d suspect, they were friendly and charismatic! We received the recommendation from our aunt, who is the mother of nine, which led us to make the 30 minute drive to deliver here. After this experience we would do it again.Lincoln GianninoUnfortunately I had to give one star, it honestly deserves none. We showed up to the ER with a broken jaw. We were told if your jaw hurts go to a dentist. The staff was rude and obviously could not be bothered. After going home and being in so much pain we went to Tampa General were they admitted and did surgery within hours. After calling to let the administration know, the staff that saw us LIED and said we came in asking for a referral and that’s what they gave. This Hospital obviously not for the patient. Or doing what is right and ethical. My advice if you are looking for the correct care and honest Dr. go anywhere but here!Hazel MorrinIf I could I would give this hospital no stars. They are rude, they do not listen to your complains and the attitude here is the only think in abundance. ANY one who works at the front desk is condescending and gives no sympathy to what your going through. ALL these employees need sensivity training….I’m disgusting and will probably leave this hospital and go to the next closest one.Gretchen Copeland⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone there was amazing. We got seen and taken care of swiftly and with great care.Katie Hardin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe nurse was a real sweet heart and very good at her job I was blessed to have her. The doctor was just awesome explained everything to me. They all have the up most respect and bed side manners for me. That will be my choice of emergency care from now on.Desha Marie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone was super nice and friendly. The doctor and nurse were awesome and wait time was minimal. everyone was incredibly efficient. The establishment is very nice also. On site Starbucks, cafeteria and Publix pharmacy. Two thumbs way upTahler Butler⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIn and out within 45 minutes on a Friday night.Sheila Nichols⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI ended up in this ER on the way from Disney World toward our home in Venice due to excruciating pain in my abdomen and lower back. The care I received was superb from the doctor to the nurses to the CT scan tech, etc. Everyone was very kind and efficient. They took me back quickly which I really appreciated due to my pain level. I was diagnosed with a kidney stone. I feel blessed to have been treated by such a superb and caring staff.Antonio Ortiz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe best and fastest emergency room ever. In less than a hour I was in and out and they really took care of me. Thank you to Dr. Lindenblad and all his staff. Great job!!!Smith MohrmanI had i horrible experience there. I do not recommend for any parent with a child who is sick to bring them here. If I could I will not give them any rating. have a 6 months old baby who at the time was not feeling well. She had a fever of 102.5 I gave her Tylenol before heading over there on 8/25 and was told that everything looks good and since her fever was down there was no need for any testing. Within 40 mins I got send home with my baby still having a high fever and not feeling Well. Here comes the next day 8/26 back at the emergency room for children’s, my daughter is running a fever of 104.7. My baby is sick So i am not going to be in the best of moods at all. I am trying to explain to the doctor that my daughter has been sick for 2 weeks she is only wants to know about what is happening at that moment. I didn’t feel the friendliness at all the second time around. At this point they are giving my baby Tylenol so I asked the nurse what she was given her to just double check. I expressed to the nurse that me laying my baby down and trying to give her the medication is not going to be good that she is going to throw it up. Anyways I did what she asked me to lay her down. The nurse is giving my baby the Tylenol and you can hear my daughter coughing up a storm and wanting to throw it up. I am upset to see my baby like this so I asked the nurse can I pls give the rest of the Tylenol to her. She catches and attitude with me and decides to throw the syringe on the bed and tell me that this is her job and that is what she does for or living, guess what honey I do this for living too and I do not do this to my patients. So we are going back and forth She tell me that I am the one with the attitude and My response to her is i have a sick child what do you expect from me. Finally I had enough and not in a so nice manner told her to get out of the room. Now the nurse supervisor and the doctor wants to come in and talk to me about what happen and now the doctor want to actually listen to me. Per the doctors there, there was nothing wrong with my child that all she has was an upper respiratory infection. They also didn’t know what kind of virus she had either. So here I am once again bending send home. Finally I decided to make the 1 hour drive to Nermous Hospital where my daughter got the care she need and come to find out they were able to tell me what kind of virus she has and that both of her ears were infected something that Lakeland Reginal medical center was unable to tell me.John McFarland⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent service for an extremely busy ER. Only long wait was for admission to the hospital. If you have a real emergency they see you very quickly.George⭐️⭐️⭐️The good: Valet – Very handy when the B-C Garage is full and there’s no other legal spot to park Security (Waiting room) – Very friendly and professional in my opinion. They make me feel safe when I enter though there. Friendly employees right up to where the 1 person gives you the paper band thingy to let you know where the person you’re visiting is at. The bad: The discomfort if you’re not the visitor. Thank goodness this isn’t the worse to go to. If you’re being transferred out of Lakeland, make sure it’s not Kindred of South Tampa as that one in Hillsborough county is why I didn’t give LRMC a 2 star or less.Kassandra HarrellWaiting in the lobby for 3 hours now to be taken to the back for a head injury? This is ridiculous! Why build a whole new ward if it’s slow and sucks? Should of took my son to a hospital out of town we would have been back home in bed by now!Matthew KosderkaI am appalled by the way my mother was treated in this emergency room today. My mother went to the ER today for bi-lateral leg pain associated with generalized back pain. The doctor and nurse we’re both highly rude to her and did not even perform diagnostic testing to uncover the reason as to why this was occuring. I under stand emergency rooms are for life threatning issues only, however that should not affect your bedside manner toward a paitent as all paitents should be cared for, and treated with respect. If possible seek medical attention elsewhere as this medical insitiution does not have your best interests In mind.Richard Luke⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExpedient and excellent care by ED physician and team.Anthony VegaEmergency room sucksLiz Byers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The staff was very friendly was treated and released within a couple hours my nurse went out of her way to make me comfortableTommy RossCan’t afford to see a regular doctor and you guys deny me the medicine I’ve been taking for years. If I don’t take it, I end up there anyways just to be denied again.Destiny Johnson⭐️⭐️⭐️Never had a good experience here. And sooo many blown veins. If you walk in, expect to be there for 6 hours.Gia Fasano⭐️⭐️⭐️(Translated by Google) The care is much faster than the general hospital in Tampa, but in terms of staff treatment, it is not the best that could represent this hospital. Doctors if they do not work with the patient’s medical insurance simply do not attend the emergency .. they send the patient home. Which is not professional ethics.
