Lovelace Westside Hospital Reviews

Before you go to Lovelace Westside Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Albuquerque emergency room think.

Selina Gonzalez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest Emergency Room in town, hands down! I have been here multiple times and have been treated so wonderfully as well as my children. I’ve been coming here for years, and the service only improves over the years. The kindness from the check in/registration desk to triage to the providers and nurses in the back. It is clean, comfortable and I couldn’t ask for a more caring environment when sick and stressed out. We have Presbyterian insurance and they accept it. So thankful for you all!Heather Noe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI brought my son in this morning to be seen. They were very caring and took the time to make sure he was ok! There was no wait time. They took the time to explain everything to me. I will never go anywhere else! This place is phenomenal!Catherine Pool⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI moved here from Texas and did not have a Doctor yet for various conditions. I have come to the ER twice since I haven’t gotten into a specialist yet. Both times the wait was under 10 minutes. I came between 8 and 9 am both times. The staff was extremely kind and professional. Doctors listen and take time to help. Nurses were excellent. Highly recommend.Ashley Sprouse⭐️⭐️My boyfriend came into the ER for food stuck in his esophagus. They admitted him since it was the middle of the night, my boyfriend could still breathe, and the GI doctor would be back in the morning. Both of the nurses (Heater and Patricia) were absolutely GREAT and so helpful. They both were great patient advocates. HOWEVER, a general doctor on floor 2 who referred to himself as Dr. Frank was so unprofessional. He told us repeatedly, “I’m time independent, not time dependent”. Apparently that justified him making us waiting 8 HOURS from the time he said my boyfriend could be discharged until the time that he FINALLY submitted discharge paperwork. We were told at 12 pm that he was able to be discharged and didn’t end up leaving until 9 pm.Kathy Mahan Brought my daughter in for a fever and other things. she is 8 and feeling miserable we have been sitting in the waiting room for three hours now. And have not been seen her temp is going up and have informed them but they keep pulling back other people. Something needs to be changed. Very unhappy mom right now.khoy bert My girlfriend often comes to the ER often for reoccurring kidney stones. She sees her urologist constantly and we still don’t know what’s causing them. Our experience here is usually excellent. There’s a female doctor in the er who won’t give her pain medication because she believes it won’t help because her pain is caused from anxiety which is so ridiculous. Every time she gets an X-ray you can see multiple stones in her right kidney. With this specific doctor she has to wait at least an hour or longer to get medicated when her pain is rated at 10. I’m livid it’s unbelievable that my girlfriend has to cry in pain for so long before she gets help.Phelisha Gutierrez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedJust spent the day in ER at the advice of my cardiologist due to low blood count. I could not have received better care by Dr. Therrien and Nurse Courtney. I received a blood transfusion, timely and with the utmost in professionalism and attentiveness. Lovelace West Side ER consistantly provides exceptional service. We are a family of 5 and have each had our time in ER for one reason or another. I have NEVER experienced the nightmare time wasters I’ve heard is the norm in other hospital ERs.LT M The worst experience at this facility. Used to love the staff. Went to the ER last night due to passing out and hitting my head really hard on the tile floor. I was out for 30 minutes or so. We got checked in quickly, saw the nurse practitioner and it felt like my issue didn’t warrant any help. Went for X-ray and CT scan and still no staff from the ER, my husband had to ask for help and the only time we saw any one else was a nurse to discharge me. She said the doctor said everything was fine. No one checked my head, which is swollen and didn’t provide anything for pain. I do not recommend this ER…you’re better off staying at him suffering than going there. I will never go to this facility, the ER again!Sandra Harris⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Everyone I saw were professional. My surgery was scheduled for 8:30 am, and at was in the back at 8:30. Clean, people are friendly. No problems at all.Brian Freno During our last visit to the Lovelace Westside ER, the doctor who saw our daughter was unprofessional and so incompetent he couldn’t even diagnose our daughter’s double ear infection. A nurse practitioner elsewhere was subsequently able to diagnose it in a matter of seconds. I highly recommend going elsewhere for effective treatment and better service.Hannah Olivera⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Everyone else was very patient, sweet and caring . Except for, the triage nurse Michelle. She was unnecessarily rude.Callyn Lee⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLovely, patient staff and doctors. Good coffee and juice.Kristin Browning This is the worst ER experiene i have ever had. I went and explicitly said that I was there to rule out an ectopic pregnancy and had my bloodwork with me, I didn’t need labs. As the NURSE (not a doctor, never saw a doctor) was taking my blood I said “I have my bloodwork why do you need my blood” she said we just have it just in case. Never consented to bloodwork. Then I went to get an ultrasound (only way to rule out ectopic) and they don’t even have a transvag, just a normal ultrasound and they didn’t see anything. Which is pretty common for an ectopic but said it was unclear, suggested I wasn’t pregnant, and said “see if you’re in pain 3 days from now”. The nurse actually recommended an MRI . I denied. I got the hell out of there, went to Texas and got actual care and had to have emergency surgery. I’ve been to 2 doctors since that said the care I received is appalling. This BS care could have easily ended my life. And what do they do when they hear about it? Send me a bill for bloodwork I specifically did not ask for. For the sake of your own life, go somewhere else.Seth Nixon⭐️⭐️The lady checking you in is nice but the wait times are awful I’ve been waiting with my screaming toddler for 3.5 hours and still haven’t seen a doctor…
