Before you go to Lovelace Womens Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Albuquerque emergency room think.
Michael FolsomA warning – quality of care can be high but all the Doctors at Lovelace ER’s work for a third party so watch out for the 2nd bill you get – it can be very high. In my case it was $900 for a shot. I got it down a lot but it was still over $200. So, sadly if you have a choice you should go somewhere else.Sarah Martinez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in, May of 2019.. The only thing that should change is how the check in ladies talk to the patients upon check in. But other then that, I had the best experience. Nurses and doctors that assisted me were amazing.. Made me feel cared for. Even when I felt scared about what I was going thru.. 5 stars for women’s.Amanda Montoya⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had my 3rd Baby here. My other 2 were at Pres. this was by far the best experience. They very much involved me in the process and decisions compared to my previous deliveries. My 3 labor was my most complicated and they made it the best. Recommend for baby delivery!Fats BrownIt’s ok but once the pizza guy showed up I had to watch the workers stuffing there faces…and everything came to a stand still… heaven forbid if there was an emergency hereSlovak Nurse⭐️⭐️Dirty old rooms and bathroom Lazy staff who gossiped at Nurse station while one woman cried in pain and a Male kept yelling “is anybody there? 4 people talking and laughing g for 40 minutes, never turned my iv back on even though it was an emergency bolus Doc was OK NO HANDWASH OR GLOVES NO CAP ON IV, JUST DROPPED ON LAPLea PonsI want to sue the ER at this hospital anyone know a way I can do this. The Dr was unprofessional, rude, and didn’t want to help me because he thinks I wanted Drugs.Karina Lissette Gonzalez Williams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDr Disney and nurse Jennifer were amazingly helpful. The help my husband couldn’t get in a state of the art hospital in California he got it here. We came in after being told at urgent care he would be better cared for at the ER we were brought in within 30 min. We were there for 4 hrs do to an emergency gun shot victim but the whole time both the nurse and Dr. Disney kept us informed of what was going on. He left with the right medications and confidence in this emergency room. Thank you so much! Your hard work is beyond appreciated.amy barreras⭐️⭐️⭐️They left my daughter In the waiting room screaming in pain about to faint Because of the pain for over an hour. Called everyone else back but not my daughter. I thought they take the people who are worse than others in first. Really hope my child don’t end up worse than what she is because they don’t feel it’s a emergency matter.yunissa rodriguezA part of me wishes I could give ZERO stars, but this 1 star is for the 0.9% of the staff that is nice. My fiance and I have been having medical problems for the past year and have been to this ER about 10 times for whatever reason. And out of all the IV’s they’ve stuck into our arms, only once or twice were they gentle or clean about it. They are always so rough, messy and inconsiderate. I was told not to come once to not “waste tax payer money” even though I was pregnant and needed to see if my baby was ok.. it’s very unclean and unprofessional here. Only once did everything about the staff and hospital feel decent.Susie XxxPlease please people stay away from this hospital I wrote a review here about going in and I received a bill for 12,000 for stomach pain…. This hospital is a rip off. Not only that people reviews are being deleted!!!!!LAMORINITA DULCEThis hospital traumatized me mentally when I was with my newborn daughter there back in 2016 falsely accused me of child abandonment and never let me recover from my c section they ended up putting me in the icu because I got infection and exaughsted from no restChe NI don’t know if this is how lovelace operates but I was at this hospital less than two months ago and I was in so much pain. They left me sitting there for 8 to 9 hours while attending to other people who came after me. When I went to ask why, they said my vitals were fine and I’m like i am in pain, only for them to find out I had a very painful ovarian cyst. Up to date I didn’t get all my medications from that ER. Lovelace ER’s are terrible, I was at the downtown ER yesterday, The staff are awful. The first time I went to this ER and I was in a very bad shape was yesterday, I couldn’t walk, couldn’t stand by myself, struggling to talk or open my eyes, the lady at the ER who wears a pink top uniform and walks on one leg shouldn’t be there. That woman is evil. This woman came telling me to get up from the wheel chair and walk, I told her she has to help me out I couldn’t walk, she said to me, then I will be stuck there because she has other things to do. Eventually, she raises one foot rest of the wheelchair up and push the wheel chair with one of my legs sweeping the floor. I was too weak to do anything. She later does a nose swap and get blood all over me and I couldn’t see or feel. I was too sick. The man at the ER they call the provider, came accusing me of being on drugs. I told them I don’t do drugs, they kept accusing me till I started crying. They later took me to the waiting room and left me there for hours. Later the provider comes to take me to the room and on the way he tells me I have flu so they will give me medicine and discharge me immediately. I asked him how he expects me to go home like this when I can’t even walk by myself and I live alone, he said to me, figure it out. The ambulance had put fluid on me that woman who walks on one leg in the pink dress disconnects it and didn’t put it back. After struggling to make a complain they decide to give me a little more care. They were supposed to give me Ibuprofen and fluids ivf. The charge nurse is too lazy to do that so she won’t even come when I called. She later wrote refused. The next shift charge nurse is also too lazy to give me breathing treatment so they put me in a wheelchair and send me to the waiting room to go home. The people at the ER of this hospital are evil, very evil. Lovelace is the worse place to go, i wont advice anyone to go thereGwen Woodard⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Dr. Disney is great ER doc. My gynocologist Dr. Knight came quickly to ER to examine and admit me. All the nurses were awesome. Brittany, Jasmine and Tamra? (Green scrubs)in the am and Dr. Moya, nurses Cheryl and Geralynn are all attentively focused on details and sweet. The one thing I cannot stand is being discharged and having no idea how to get out. Paper issues. I’ve been packed and ready to go since 8ish. They told me I could go at 5. Almost 6 hours later. …I sit n cry.M EnglandWorst care in any medical facility used by my family. I am in the medical field and have great sympathy for the stress and the patient load of medical professionals but I will never go to the ER at Lovelace Womens again. It was very understaffed, my husband never recieved a physical exam or abdominal palpation when he presented with acute abdominal pain, was diagnosed with gall stones and given no treatment for severe pain and nausea, instead given prescritptions to fill in the morning, and they had all the in-patients crammed into a small room while placing IVs in everyone. There were people who were not alert and moaning in pain that were left on this room with with admitted patients and not offered a bed to lay in. He ended up in the ER at UNM 2 days later with gall bladder induced pancreatitis, was hospitalized, and had surgery performed.Andrea Michalak⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVisiting from Florida and went in at 6 am yesterday morning. Was seen quickly and impressed by the nurses and doctor who cared for me. Nurses Chris & Keith are awesome – very professional, knowledgeable and personable. It is scary having to deal with a medical issue when you’re outside of your home comfort zone, and I really appreciate the help I received from these guys. 🙂J OzunaThe worst took my soon with croppe , they said it was asthma , a male Chinese or oriental nurse Yelled at my 5 yr old son for not taking oral med . When he couldn’t breath . Just the worst , wife was upset , and angry with the way he treated our son . The worst service the worst everything . Hopefully the head of hospital returns her call soon. All they do from what I saw was gossip amongst them . And be rude to patients, specially elderly. Because they won’t say anything and I was just a patient there . Hopefully hospital presidente reads this and contacts me ASAP for further explanations.Chris FinleyThis place takes nobodies emergencies seriously! Horrible place!Jaimie GonzalesI came in on 10/19/18 for severe pains caused by endometriosis which for me is a familial disposition as well as a result of several past surgeries. They gave me an IV to draw blood and for saline and pain medications as well as something for nausea. The phlebotomist who drew my blood was super quick. Then they did a CATscan which doesn’t even show much. So after waiting an hour, my blood test were normal, my urine test from the triage was normal, and of course the CATscan was inconclusive. I asked the doctor if ANY fibroids could be seen, and he said there is a possibility, but I need to talk to my PCP or an OBGYN. I checked in at 10:16am and for nothing, not even pain medications, I was out at 5:45pm. The only person who was truly helpful was Nurse Dawn for giving me the really good pain meds and strong advice because she had been through the same situation. Getting the healthcare you need shouldn’t result in a tireless search for an understanding doctor who listens. Don’t waste your time here. Call and see as many doctors you need to find the one who truly wants to help you. Never stop fighting for your health because this is what “healthcare” has come to.Ashley Ferguson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe Charge nurse Chris, is literally the coolest nurse ever. I know he puts up with a lot and handles it with grace and poise, all while being caring and patient and approachable. Most of the people at this ER are just aweosme. From the techs to the nurses to the doctors. They are all professional and fun. It made my stays in the ER so much easier.Brigette LeyvaCame in because I had what feels like swollen lymph nodes on the back of my head that would not go away. Urgent care said all they could do was give medicine, which I had already been taking tylenol and Aleve. It helped, but when it wore off pain returned and bumps on my head hurt to the touch. In triage doctor said it was a headache and said they would medicate me. When I was called back the angel of a nurse said they ordered me a lot of medication and seemed concerned over the amount of medication. She called the doctor back and I said I just was concerned about the swollen bumps on my head. He said ” we’ll do a scan and when it comes back negative we’ll send you on your way” and walked off. He had no concern or care to help at all. I went to talk to the nurse and she understood and told me to do what I felt was right, so I left. Worst experience other than the caring nurse. DO NOT COME HERE!Walter CatalanoWorst emergency room ive ever been to if it would let me give 0 stars I definitely would. One star is way to generous. Nurses and doctors are completely confused and about patients. Nurses offer certain patients pillows, blankets, drinks and then ignore other ones. This place needs to be shut down. Dont come to this horrible place….vannesa marquezJUST GO TO UNM!! The wait here is just as bad as any hospital 30 mins in and out?? YEAH RIGHT!!! They dont communicate anything to you until you get up and ask!! This is ridiculous they didnt check up on us after 1 hour!!! Definitely UNM does better!!!Nadine Martinez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI always bring my babies to this emergency room the staff is awesome they get you in fast.Jennifer CournoyerWebsite said 25 minutes wait time to be seen. It was a Monday morning before 7 am. Over an hour to be seen by anyone. Put in the hall on an overflow bed. They didn’t know where my chart was. Strep test took over an hour from the lab.Shannette ODellSaid they were admitted me so my family left. Then about 1 hour later they decided not to. The man taking vitals up front was rude.Charlene Daniels⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Waited a bite, but had a great first to visitC FWaited forever, was seen for a few minutes (by a nurse practitioner, not a doctor), got a $5,000 bill.
