I have a significant concussion, and when waiting to be seen had others who came in behind me go in first. The receptionists at the front desk were very rude and seemingly judgmental and my triage nurse was very unhelpful and snappy. Another man with a head injury was also repeatedly pushed to the bottom of the waitlist, he had been there for at least an hour before me. After sitting in the waiting room for 5 and a half hours, I decided to go home and try to see a urgent care doctor tomorrow. The receptionist followed me out to sign a form saying I was “refusing treatment,” and said that I could always try again tomorrow.Gillian LaidlawWe were only at ER waiting room a few minutes before a nurse checked us in and sent us back to waiting room. While In there she made it clear there were no on-call ENTs to look at my hearing loss issue and acted annoyed that we came to ER. The Whole process was short, and as soon as she sent us back to waiting room, we realized there were so many sick people waiting and the nurse making it obvious we likely weren’t going to get the kind of hearing help I needed here, we decided to leave and not take up more wait time if they wouldn’t have an ENT to help anyway. We nicely told the front desk girl, and she said “you have to sign a form.” When I asked her what form she said we had to sign it since we had checked in, without disclosing what the form was. When she told Kim the nurse, Kim yelled very loudly “Are you kidding me?! While looking directly at us. She then stormed into the back room and proceeded to yell at us repeatedly “get in here and sign this form”. “Come on let’s go!” To which I asked, “what’s with your crass attitude?” She angrily slammed the form down and pointed to the line to sign with no with no explanation of the form. And she said “my problem is you checked in and now you’re leaving.” To which I explained we didn’t want to take up more time and would likely look for a less busy location. She was so deeply inappropriate with her rage issue, especially to people there because we are dealing with health issues. Kim the nurse gives your ER department a bad image. Please reconsider having her represent your ER. I doubt it’s the whole department, but keeping aggressive Kim on is deeply intimidating for patients. Not ok.John Doe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went there to get help for Lyme Disease caused from a tick bite. I was in so much pain throughout my body and even my cheast, and i I feeling sick, and very nauseous. They prescribed me with an antibiotic to use for two weeks, within 2-3 days I feel normal. So grateful this place, because the pain really was so bad. Damn bioweapons!Sasha MetaThe front desk receptionists are so rude!Ken Moulton Jr.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSurprisingly fast wait times on this visit. Good care facility with quality employees. Honestly this is the best ER in Maine, and anyone who has gone anywhere else knows it. I think everyone has had bad experiences with ERs, mostly because they don’t want to be there, you’re hurt, inconvenienced, and nervous to start. I’ve been to at least six other ERs in different hostipals throughout Maine and can tell you two things immediately: employees who don’t work here want to work here, and pretty much every major health issue has to be sent here because the other guys can’t do what Maine Medical Center can.B King⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing care. Thank you!Mohamed DjamaWaiting time s too long for an Emergency service. Took me with my 2y son 4hr to get seen by a doc..
