Before you go to Maricamp, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Ocala emergency room think.
Ashley DimickHonestly the hospital system in Ocala is rather lacking and I expected more from a brand new hospital. The waiting room was dirty with marks all over the floor. Upon arrival I checked in and waited. When they came to my room with the wrist band it had the wrong last name even after I explained my name had changed the nurse still put the band on me. Another nurse came in and asked my name and I told her and simply said “give me your ID” , okay so hospitality isn’t their strong point fine. They finally came back with a new wrist band. Finally a nurse practitioner comes in and asks why I’m there. I explain my problem and why I was there and how it being a weekend it wasn’t something I could present to my primary and that is was a major concern to me. She said “well I don’t know know why you chose the hospital, I can’t really do anything you.” I expressed concerned with my condition and how this wasn’t something caused by previous injury, how I hadn’t hurt myself but how horribly this was bothering me and how I felt I needed to know something and she said “let me get you some ibuprofen and maybe follow up with your primary next week”. She then left the room and sent someone else in with my paper work to leave after we sat there waiting for 30-40 minutes knowing nothing and left without proper medical care or attention. She clearly doesn’t care about patients or her job. Privacy at this hospital is also a joke as they very loudly talk about you and your problems in the common area letting all other patients know your information. This hospital is new and needs a new staff already.Annette Eising⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIf I could give ten stars I would. The staff here took wonderful care of my mother and they are such wonderful people. Nurse Katie, I can not say how much I appreciated her compassion and warmth. She made us feel at ease and her care was above and beyond for all of us. I highly recommend this location. Thank you for all you do!Shelby House⭐️⭐️Staff was generally pleasant but they misdiagnosed me and sent me via ambulance out of the city due to being pregnant. They were so sure of their near fatal diagnosis, including multiple staff eluding that I might die. Though this is not there fault- the hospital that I was transported to trusted their diagnosis and I was kept there for a week. Only to not be treated for what was actually going on. It’s definitely made me fear going to an ER. If they had properly diagnosed me than things wouldn’t have been this way.Olivia CromwellTraumatized me and messed me up. They gave me medicine for the severe migraine I was having (I’ve had chronic migraines for most of my life and went there for something else. I just happened to have one the time I went.) The medicine they gave me messed up my mind severely and I thought it would go away the next day. When it was still going on a few days later, I went back there to tell the doctors I think the medicine they gave me is causing the mind problems and they basically told me, “It can’t be the medicine. You should go talk to your neurologist because it’s probably the migraine that messed you up.” A few days later, still messed up and miserable, I went to a different ER. Turns out, it was 100% the medicine Maricamp gave me that’s been messing me up so much. The doctor at the other ER told me how this was definitely the medicine and why I was so messed up is because with this specific medicine, doctors prefer to give a low dosage of like 10mg or at least give it to someone with a sort of buffer because of the phychotic affects. Maricamp gave me double that with no buffer. It took almost two weeks for my mind to get back to normal and even now months later, I still sometimes get little episodes like it. This experience has made me so much more fearful of going to ERs and trying different medicines because I’m so terrified of my mind being messed up so severely again. I would never go to this place ever again.Kelly Chadwick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBy far the best experience I had for an ER from start to finish, they took my daughter right back to care for her and comfort her. The doctor nurses, and X-Ray tech’s bedside manner was amazing and so comforting. I highly recommend this location to all.Willard BaldwinHorrible experience. worst I ever have had. They left me so mad that I was in tears. They totally made me feel no matter how I feel I should just not worry about going to ER. They really need to listen to there patients better.Alecia C⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWithin 30 minutes of my arrival I had already seen a doctor and had a chest xray. I didn’t even have to wait to go back into a room. They were the best er/urgent care doctors and nurses I’ve ever had. They genuinely seemed to care and were fast, friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I was in an out in about an hour. It was a great experience from start to finish.Linda MarascoAnother pitiful excuse for urgent care from Ocala Regional Medical Center. This place never ceases to amaze me. Does anyone know what their doing? If this is the new health care, God help us all!!!!Brian AdamsThey are more concerned with getting you out the door than taking care of you. Great place if you need a band-aid.Tracy BennettDon’t answer phones. Wonderful placeDebbie EdwardsTook my husband there for a horrible Abscess that had him in severe pain. The staff was very unhelpful with no patient skills whatsoever. The nurse was not helpful nor empathetic and the male nurse practitioner who performed the incision looked like had just stepped off the bus with no grooming nor bedside manners at all. He was sent out with no pain meds and the numbing shot did nothing.. We will not be back after tomorrow when the packing is removed. Just awful service. One would think with this place being new it would be staffed with actual ER staff. I pray for anyone with a life threatening emergency if they get taken there! What a joke!Diamond Burley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedQuick thorough and very friendly staff.Timothy GagliardiWasn’t that busy and still I waited for four hours to get out. Went in for back pain so severe I can not walk and left with a generic back pain diagnosis and muscle relaxers. I’ll never go back there.Angie Crawford⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We were in and out in under two hours.Tyler Pulvert mullerThe sign said a 5 minute wait, took 45 minutes to be seen and the main waiting room is basically just one big room where they bring everyone back and check them out then bring them back to the waiting room so a bunch of sick people are just sitting in a cramped room very sad to see this done to people, treat them like animalsalisa linesWent into the ER with what I thought was the flu and waited for an hour and a half for them to tell me that I could leave they said it was a cold and did nothing for me . When I was sick as a dog and I have surgery and need to be better thanks for nothing .Makeeuppby BriexoNobody asked what was going on , until we were her for already 1hr ! THERE WAS NOBODY IN THE PARKING LOT. For them to be very NEW nobody had good people skills . We waited for 3/ HOURS for them to say nothing was wrong !
