Before you go to Mayo Clinic, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Phoenix emergency room think.
Ashlee Busch⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSince moving to Phoenix, this is the ONLY ER that has treated me and my family with kindness and respect as well as providing excellent medical care. Went in 3 days ago in excruciating pain, was in a room and given pain relief within 5 minutes. In a CT scan within half and hour, diagnosed and released within a couple hours. All the staff was kind and gentle, friendly but professional. We will NEVER go back to the other HORRIBLE ERs in the valley. Here only and always. Thank you Mayo!Brian Olynick⭐️⭐️Staff were great to work with. However, we had to wait over 13 hours after being admitted to talk to a specialist. This is the Mayo clinic. One of the top medical facilities in the world! You can do better than that! Also, the ER area seems to be a common area where staff gather to talk LOUDLY about who knows what while people who aren’t feeling well are trying to rest and be better. Sitting here right now and it sounds like a high school hallway. It is so unprofessional and is unintentionally careless towards patients. It needs to be posted that it should be a quiet area. Our son who hadn’t slept for 4 days was given meds to help him rest. But the noise level outside our door was so loud he was sleeping restlessly. You can do better. This should be an area of peace and tranquility for your sick and afflicted patients and families/friends coping with the illnesses of their loved ones. Going to Abrazo next time. It’s at least quiet there.adam cuppYou guys are absolutely useless.Ever Oldenberg⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedthings went quickly and smoothly without any hiccupspriti agarwalVery bad. They ate sitting there to make money. Traeated only for 50 min and chargibg heaftily. Once the full payment was done, suddenly after 6 months they sent another bill of $1200 saying its the facility charges and these were for using emergency room whuvh were not included in the bill earlier. When called for an expkanation, the lady was not very coordial and keep repeating tgat emergency rooms are very expensive and should be remembered for future use. Basically as if she meant that I went their for fun. Will never recommend to anyone.Leah Howlett⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night because he ripped half his finger off earlier that day. Despite it being a Friday night we waited less than 5 minutes to see the triage nurse and not even 5 minutes from triage to a bed. The nurses and staff were wonderful and kind. Our nurse, Cale, was very attentive, knowledgeable and funny. Dr. Kozak was fast, efficient and had a great personality. Our tech, Akasha was wonderful as well. Overall an excellent experience here and will come back (hopefully we won’t) if we need to!Carol BobakAwful experience. Went in with 2nd degree burns on 12-6-18 on hand and foot, screaming in pain and wasn’t seen for an entire hour. The hospital was empty. The staff there is unsympathetic and stone faced, not to mention, not knowledgeable in the area of burns. Worst emergency room experience ever. Going in when it all started, I thought for sure that since it was Mayo, I would have nothing but the best care. Boy, was I wrong.Michael McCulley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat staff doing the best they can!David Hemphill⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCame here after a severe colitis flare-up. They got me in quick, took all my vitals and symptoms, immediately put me in the hospital, and had me in surgery in two days.Victor Ratz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMost people don’t realize that the ER’s Job is to stabilize you and ensure you can either go home and await treatment from your Primary doctor or admit you for further testing or treatment. If you have something that isn’t going to kill you immediately or that day or in the foreseeable near future, they give you what you need, test you to ensure you don’t have anything life threatening and then let you go. They are not a primary care physician. We’ve always gotten great care here.sonia vejar⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOutstanding service, incredibly friendly staff.Danielle Mitten⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had been really sick and putting off coming here for awhile due to the reviews and my lack of desire to spend more time in anymore hospitals. I’m surprised this place has received such bad reviews. I’ve experienced every hospital in the valley this year due to my complicated illness and this is by far the best experience I’ve had so please don’t allow the negative reviews to offput you. The waiting room wasn’t overcrowded. The facility was very nice and clean. It was very quiet and had a very calm atmosphere. It felt completely different from the normal hustle and bustle of busy, cranky people filled, ers. I didn’t feel like a number or paycheck here, People were helped in ample amount of time and the triage process is easy and private. I felt they didn’t rush through patients and took their time giving appropriate care. They made sure my illness was not life threatening at this moment, but treated me with the utmost care and kindness. The doctors were thorough, open minded, listened, answered all of my questions, and tried to help me come up with a plan to help me get myself through this as much as I can. It truly was a relief getting care here compared to everywhere else I’ve been to. The rooms were nice and private, the care was kind and easy. I had never been to a hospital where the staff was so nice. Even though I still don’t have a diagnosis, I still left with a positive outlook and a positive experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.xina marie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in for chest pains which occurred every time I took a breath. Everybody I met in the ER was friendly, courteous, and competent. I was made to feel very comfortable. The facility is also very clean. I can’t say enough good things about Mayo clinic.Rebekah Zemansky⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing, very smart medical professionals who really listen. Very coordinated with other Mayo staff & locations. Staff calm, confronting & supremely confident during ER visit – very reassuring when sick and scared.Alan Wolk⭐️⭐️Waited 2 days for bed in er .Natasha ReznicekTerrible experience. I have dealt with stomach pains my entire life off and on. Over the last 6 months I have been having severe chest pain.. went in to a radiology place elsewhere and they were awesome. They did full scans and even tested for heartburn as well as acid reflux. Everything came back normal and they assured me I did not suffer from gastritis. This morning around 4am I went in to the Mayo Clinic ER.. despite the bad reviews I read, I decided to give them a try because they are affiliated with the Mayo Clinic. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I was not treated with respect and they dismissed the idea right off the bat that I had that something is going on with my gallbladder, which also runs in my family. My doctor that I had (Dr. Urumov) was pleasant and nice but decided to dismiss anything to do with my gallbladder because of my young age… my age does not matter.. I had kidney stones at the age of 16…. He decided to discharge me and refer me to a GI specialist (whom I already have an apt with but they were not able to get me in for another 3 weeks) and decided against an ultra sound or any other further testing after I asked for those specific tests to be done. While in their care after telling them I was already tested for gastritis and did not have that, they decided to diagnose me with it anyways and gave me a “cocktail” to numb my “heartburn” where in fact it MADE THE PROBLEM WORSE. I have never been in so much pain and I have never cried in pain like that before. All the doctor could say was “oh I’m sorry”. I also let them know that I have tried so many different anti acid medications and nothing works….. and what did they decide to do? Prescribe me an anti acid….. what a joke people… I urge anyone who is considering this emergency room to find a place elsewhere. EXTREMELY displeased. Waste of my time and waste of my money just to be put into more pain.Missy MuellerI went in with excruciating abdominal and back pain that I’ve had for 3 weeks. In the 4 hours I was there the nursing staff and doctors spent less than 20 min in the room. The doctor didn’t ask what my symptoms were, offer me anything for pain, off a hot pack for the pain, or even ask me on a scale of 1 – 10 how bad my pain was. He then discharged me, told me I was fine and to follow up with my primary care who won’t see me for 2 more months. So now I left with no answers and still in excruciating pain. I would never recommend them for anything!foreverjesus2525 RowanNIGHTMARE!! Took my husband in for Sepsis symptons from a UTI.. the staff was very unfriendly, unkind, and very pushy. Dr. Tromb aka (dir. of er) was Awful.. he would not give us the time of day!! day. Rn Tim put in a new catheter into my husband it was too big..the tubing was twice the size as my husbands original ok.. then No urine ever came out! Then they sent my husband home like that.. in extreme pain too and with Pnemonia!!!! Why did they do that any other hospital would Not!! NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS MAYO CLINIC ER EVER TO ANYONE!!!Craig Kalisch⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came in with chest pain thought I was having some sort of heart attack and I had an EKG done immediately and was in a room getting my blood drawn within 20 min, had ex rays done and a cat scan within the first hour ….after previously waiting at a banner hospital for over 2 hours with a few people in the lobby and not a word from the nurses or anyone , Mayo hospital is the best!!!b VicoryJoe and I have been dealing with his health for quite some time and we still do not have a clear cut diagnosis. In this last year He has received over 17 blood transfusions, 2 platelet infusions, 1 iron infusion, multiple test, numerous genetic testing, 6 different doctors, 20 hospital visits to over 7 different hospitals and they all said go see Mayo clinic. Mayo is the only place that can help you. The other doctors didn’t know what to do. So we went to Mayo clinic and he received more testing, more blood transfusions and a splenectomy where they almost killed him and basically gutted him. Mind you he is still very sick and we do not have any answers. My goal is not for Pity it is more to inform. If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate position of having to seek medical treatment in the greater Phoenix area avoid Mayo clinic at all cost. They will charge the hell out of your insurance company while smiling and ignoring what the real problem is. They will let the problem persist because their doctors are to egotistical to acknowledge when they may not know everything. They refuse to have another Dr look at the problem or seek anyone else’s advice. No they can handle it themselves. Even if it’s at the expense of the patients health. These so called Drs are mentored by other Drs that rarely show face. The so called Drs are kids in suits just out of school. The mentors are supposed to be some of the best in their field. But I call bullshit! This is basically graduate school and you the patient are a Guinea pig. They will gut you like a fish and use you as a pin cushion as they learn how to treat patients for real. If you ever hear Mayo clinic is the best in the state…think again. We are here, we have been here, and we are here again, and again all because they are learning. It has been almost 9 weeks since surgery and they are still digging out his incision because it hasn’t healed. We put our complete trust in this facility and it has been nothing short of an epic disappointment. I recommend thinking twice before visiting Mayo Clinic and entrusting yours or a loved ones health to them. Star rating one ! Happy Health to all! ❤️Jessie SchmidtI received zero help here. A false diagnosis and cranky doctor.Russ SaulAttending nurse and MD were arrogant and demeaning. Allowed patient to leave without ensuring the issue was addressed. Actually called the patient anorexic with no basis of fact. No follow-up call to determine effectiveness of visit.tboltThey don’t take medicare and a pcp office visit is 600.00 their concierge medallion plan is 8000.00 a year so this limits who can and cannot be seen.Ryan RowanDOCTORS DO NOT CARE HERE – AVOID THIS FACILITY WITH ALL COSTS.Allisnot HiddenWas told by ER to come in. Diagnosed with hernia and sent home after being told how to push my guts back in when they come out. Took BP that’s it. Worst experience.Suad Abuelhawa⭐️⭐️Longest time everBob Rickabaugh⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was treated well & helpedSandra Holguin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedTrusted doctors and very clean facility
