Mercy Health Reviews

Before you go to Mercy Health, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Toledo emergency room think.

Kendra Bryant⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis hospital is very fast and they actually care about the patients well being. I love how they always ask what helps you, or where should we start your iv. I highly recommend this hospital over Toledo.B M Came in with the same pain that they want to Discharge me with. just want to send me home with pain meds without an actual diagnosis, and you wonder why Toledo has an opiod epidemicCathy Stoll Horrible hospital. The nurse was awful. She talked to us as though we were children, very disrespectful. If she does not like her job she needs to find a new profession. The place was filthy dirty. I would never go back to this place again.Jonathon Worst hospital in the city! You could have a life threatening emergency and you’ll sit in the e.r for hours before ever being seen. Staff is rude. Place is filthy. The whole time you wait it will be by someone who is contagious with something viral… DON’T GO HERE! Also more expensiveEl Hoffman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI know there’s a lot of negative reviews, but I had high quality service in the emergency room here. They were very considerate of my generalized anxiety disorder, and were very nice and communicative. No issues.Karen Faziani If I could give minus stars I would. I had 1 excellent nurse while i have been here for 6 days. Pretty bad considering I had at least 20 nurses during my most unpleasant stay. The worst part is, I really liked this place! I am going to complain all day everyday for the way I was treated! Being retired, I have no other distractions! This place is horrid!!! ( not just emergency room ) but also in the e.rDiamond Raney My fiancé was treated very poorly by Michelle, she did not give discharge instructions, I was very upset and asked to speak with someone else, out comes the charge nurse Janelle, she explained to me that she does not “see through a crystal ball” Which was firstly an upsetting statement to begin with, a way to provoke someone who is already concerned and dissatisfied. Instead of using a nurturing tone like nurses should do ESPECIALLY a charge nurse you would think consoling would come with “experience”. Than she goes on to say that I was belligerent and said that my fiancé could not be seen even though he could not breathe. Upset? Very… who wouldn’t be after being treated like a nobody by professionals who we are supposed to trust with our well-being. Belligerent, no I wasn’t aggressive. Outspoken, very. I have never in my life been treated this way at St. Ann, if this is who they hire now I feel bad for the hospitals reputation because the staff tonight showed that they are ruining it. I will be contacting BBB, Ohio Department of Health, Office For Civil Rights, Ohio KeyP, as well as a few others. Hopefully a change will be made. We deserve an apology. We were treated inhuman it hurts honestly. Especially to have security called on you when all you want is help.Angelina Williams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Good, fast care. I would go there again if needed. (❁´◡`❁)Rachael Louise⭐️⭐️Overall this hospital was dirty, shabby, understaffed and unprofessional. The man at the front who took my vitals before they got me into a room was beyond rude. He made both my mother and I extremely uncomfortable and if I hadn’t felt so bad, we would have said something then. My nurse was nice enough.. but after announcing that they were understaffed and only have one person to draw blood, told me that she would do it. She stuck me 3 times in 3 different places, it hurt terribly and you could tell she didn’t really know what she was doing. After her first failed attempt I told her I was willing to wait but she insisted she could do it. Again, I was sick and didn’t feel like having a confrontation, so she continued. My doctors were both nice, but they made it abundantly clear that the emergency room was for life or death situations and in so many words, I didn’t need to be there. This really upset me because my mother has went to the ER with leg pain that turned out to be blood clots, my cousin went in with a weird ingrown hair that turned out to be MRSA and I had an ex who went in with stomach pain from his appendix bursting.. all of those were silly reasons to go to the ER but ended up being very serious. Never discourage someone from seeking medical care when they feel they need it. I will not go back, only giving two stars because the doctors did spend time with me and in the end referred me to a specialist instead of just sending me home.Kismet Vinson As my husband was seen in the ER today at 330 am, I listened to the nursing staff talk bad about a patient’s body odor, I get who likes sour smells? No one, but it doesn’t give them the right to talk to each other in hearing range of the public, disrespectful to need emergency room serives and be talked about by the same staff that suppose to care for you, even stated that no UTI = Uniary Track Infection of a female patient, stated that UTI would never make you smell like that even down to the Doctor himself, What kind of people are being employed to judge? I don’t like this at all and it’s very disrespectful. I’m angered by this.Grace Church I was sent to the ER by my doctor. The ER doctor was rude and obnoxious, I was yelled at for not completing the course of two antibiotic that my doctor told me to stop taking as they were not working, the ER doctor said he would give me another antibiotic but the antibiotic he suggested I have not had any luck with it, the Er doctor said ” FINE, DON’T TAKE ANYTHING! I allowed the chest x ray & blood work then walked out. Even the nurse stated this doctor treated everyone in this manner. His English was so bad the nurse had to tell me what the doctor was saying. I will NEVER go to this hospital again unless I’m dying as it is unfortunately the closest hospital to me. Much better care at St. Vincent hospital. I’d give ZERO STARS BUT IT’S NOT AN OPTIONBeamer Eamer⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAbsolute A+ care givers. They get you in fast. Caring staff, there too help you with what ever you need. To the smallest item like coffee or an extra blanket. Doctors and nurses are on time if you call from your room, they manage all your care problems with dignity and quality efficency. Great place to land if you have any medical needs. Oh yes the food is great too!Sanbanshee63/ S. Ball⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy friend had Aortic Bypass (a 4hr surgery) done here recently. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As her husband & I waited, We were updated on the surgery progress and her condition every hour. They came out with a snack cart in the morning and afternoon. When she was transferred to her room, the staff nurses were friendly and caring. I was impressed with this hospital & their staff, in a field I’ve not been impressed with, for quite awhile, A+ to St Anne’s! Katie Rose⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff was amazing! They were so fast and communicated important information immediately. They all had such compassion and truly cared for my needs.Amanda Dejesus⭐️⭐️I went to the emergency room for the worst cramps I’ve ever had. My doctor told me to go to an ER as she suspected a fibroid or cyst on my uterus. I got there and was escorted back within 10 minutes and my vitals were taken. After that I was not hooked up to any sort of monitoring machine or IV. I did not present with cardiac issues or anything but everywhere else I’ve been has hooked me up to heart monitors and an IV right away (in case I had a cardiac issues and for whatever reason went into cardiac arrest, this hospital never would have known because I wasn’t being monitored). I reported my pain as an 10 but was not offered any pain medication or heating pad. They said my pain could not be at a 10 because I wasn’t crying (I’m not a cryer to begin with). My nurse only checked on me twice the entire time I was there, and I was there close to 6 hours. There was also a test done on me that was extremely painful and the nurses did not stop; I was writhing and saying OW in pain and they just told me to hold still when they should have stopped immediately due to the nature of the exam. I was bleeding heavily after they were done. The facility was very thorough with tests, ruling out uterus issues as well as digestive system issues, hence the 2 stars. I was given pain medicine through an IV 5 minutes before I left and they allowed me to DRIVE even though they had just given me pain meds.Carol Balla I was taken to the emergency room 12/2018 after my father’s Hospice team came and removed him from our home because of me being very ill. I had been vomiting for days to the point I started throwing up blood from damaging my esophagus. No control over my bowels or bladder. I could not breath and running a fever. I was so week from being dehydrated that I could barely sit up let alone walk. I sat in the emergency room for 2 hours while people coming in after me was already leaving. My cousin finally had had enough and went and told them I wasn’t a junkie having withdrawal and immediately 2 nurses came out and got me. I was immediately admitted for flu and pneumonia. Shame on the staff for assuming. While admitted the care was horrible except for one older nurse that did seem to care. On my 7th day of being there they started potassium in my i.v. the pain was so horrific to the point I defecated in my bed. I was crying and screaming for someone to help me. I pushed call button several times and no one would come so I cleaned myself up and took out my i.v. myself. This process took at least an hour and still no one came. So I called for a ride and left and no one noticed. I will never go there again for an emergency.Scott Keto Cook⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent to er with the most scrutiating pain i ever had! Got me right in! Sedated me immediately! Thought i had a double hernia! They did 2 cat scans with blue die and 2 ultrasounds tests came back negative! Next day did a mri! Turns out i had bulging disc with torn groin nerve! To the buttocks! Couldn’t walk for 2 weeks they saved my life! Kudos to the staff and doctors! They were on it the whole time! Nurses were allways nice and helpfull! Thankyou st annes!Dukefor life Dude Treated my wife with disrespect. No nusing staff to be found in the ER. Vitals never took once she was put in a room . 4 hours later, we left!Jamie Vigh No emergencies here. Emergencies should be treated with rigor.Tia Tucker⭐️⭐️1) I took my 81 yo mother to the ER 9/20/2018 @6:30 am and she was signed in and then someone else came in after with cold and taken before her. 2) Her blood pressure was sky high like 200/83 3) She was given a pain shot and hours later was finally released. 4) So knowing she had had very high blood pressure and she had bad knee’s and walking with a cane, they didn’t even offer to wheel her out to the door instead just gave her directions to get out which she did get lost. I would have rated even lower but felt her one nurse was nice. First and last time at that ER!Martell Tha Cool A horrific hospital ever. When I had got a charlie leg as my leg was locking up last year. They didn’t even provide me no medical cab to get me home nor any pain medication’s. Thank goodness uber and Lyft exists. St. Anne’s hospital is one of the worse hospital filedf with cold hearted nurses and doctors . they’ll get one star from meRhonda T⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have been going off and on for blood work only, for 10 years. Great staff all the way around, never had a problem!!Connie Bastien I went to the ER on Saturday 4-2-18 and it was a waste of time and it took forever. They did some test and said everything was okay so I went home and on Friday 4-6-18 I returned because I was still in severe pain, once again they did some test and a cat scan and said everything came back okay. The nurse particaner ordered all the test on Friday I did not see Dr. Katko until all the test were done, he is the one who read the test and that is all that he did. Dr. Katko did not even ask how much pain I was in or offer to write a prescription for pain. The nurse particaner asked if I was talking anything for pain and told her what it was , she asked if it worked and I told her no, so she wrote me a prescription for that same thing I said did not work for me and sent me home , knowing the pain medication was not going to work, so I went there twice in severe pain and I am still in severe pain . They are not compassionate at all . They pretty much told me, so I can’t find what is causing you pain , so go home and suffer. Don’t go here they will not know what is wrong and you will not be any better after you leave the ER.Kelsey Retzlaff Worst hoispal around. The cancer center is horrible. Unsanitary !joanne rankins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat Staff…Keep up the good work!!Houston Tussing⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey saved my grandpas lifelinda hasenbalg⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAwesome hospital amazing staff
