Before you go to Mercy Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Rogers emergency room think.
Jeremy Schopper⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIncredible customer service. I went in late to visit one of my ballplayers who was in the ER then admitted. He was put in a room in the renovated section. It was really nice. But the problem was that because of the construction it was a bit of a maze to get there. The ER nurse and night security guard were both very helpful in getting me where I needed to go.Jim Bruce⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThank God for Mercy Hospital, Rogers, AR. During the admission and time spent with our precious loved one, the Mercy staff, Dr’s and nurses went over and beyond the call of duty to meet not only the needs of our love one, but, also each of our needs. We have a large family and the staff was always trying to assure everyone was comfortable. To all the staff. We thank you from the depths of our hearts! God bless you all!❤️❤️Anonymous⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI personally wanted to thank a staff member at Mercy in Rogers, AR. Cindy, the employee that worked the front desk checking patients in the morning of 9/9/19, truly went above and beyond. My husband and I were at the hospital early with our newborn daughter because my father was getting a heart procedure done. I spent the majority of his time in the hospital in his room while the rest of the family waited in the lobby. While I was away, my husband took our daughter into the men’s restroom to change her diaper and saw there was not a changing table. He went out to the front desk and asked Cindy if there was a place to change her so that he didn’t have to expose her in the lobby area. Cindy immediately apologized and offered to change her for him. He asked if she really didn’t mind and she said “no, I’d be more than happy to” and proceeded to take her to the women’s restroom to change her while another employee watched the front desk. When my husband told me about this interaction, I was so happy. Cindy offering to help my husband out so that i could stay with my father meant the world to me. Thank you, Cindy! In addition to Cindy, all of the staff members were so kind and accommodating. They answered all of out questions and made us feel comfortable with the process.Angelo WelihindhaA beautiful and modern hospital is not enough to offset poor communication from doctors and nurses. A family member had been hospitalized here, and we were promised a visit from the attending physician — and we waited 12 hours. The staff seems bewildered when we even asked for a status update.Linda Parker⭐️⭐️The hospital should have found better qualified medical staff before expanding the hospital . That’s just my opinion !Alex KochanGot into a car accident in October of 2018, was not at fault and the other party’s insurance paid for my medical expenses. Mercy still sent me the medical bills AFTER they had already been paid. I gave Progressive Insurance authorization to speak with Mercy regarding my bill and they provided the billing department with receipt of payment. Mercy after having received the confirmation THEN sent my bill to collections. That is ridiculous we have had numerous problems with their billing department, they cant seem to keep things straight and cause unnecessary problems due to an apparent lack of organization. I wish I could leave less than 1 star.Mia DiazWent to ER last week in severe pain, have Crohn’s, but kidneys hurt. Was held all day for tests and denied any type of pain meds by”Dr. BH”, supposedly because they don’t want to “create addicts” and I never go to hospital!!! My BP was 164/109 the entire day & I found out today that I passed a kidney stone that day. Thanks for nothing Mercy. I should’ve been made comfortable.steve firmingham⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis hospital is wonderful. The nurses were great. Especially in Icu, my nurse was so wonderful and caring i started to think i was her only patient. I wish i was better with names. Always there when i needed pain meds, or anything i needed. When i was moved to a regular room , sometimes the nurses were busy, but they got to me when they could. My surgeon Dr. Parmley visited me every day in was there before, and after my surgery. All but one day he was off, but even then he had his associate doctor checking up on me. The dierician in the kitchen came to my room and told me , it was ok that i didnt feel like eating yet, but asked if i would be willing to drink a protien shake with each meal. After that there was one with every meal. Many times one of the kitchen staff would come to my room if i forgot to order my meal , to find out what i wanted. Thats the kind of personal service you dont see much of at most hospitals. They are good, but they’re still small enough to realize the patient is the customer, not the insurance company. If i asked for something they couldnt give me, it was explained to me why. I was not treated like a number like that other big hospital up in fayetteville. I like the mercy system , and prefer always to use one of their hospitalsStephanie Powell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy mom had a 5 way bypass yesterday morning and they are so wonderfully kind and caring to her and the rest of my family.Kristefer AhrentsGave me my bill before was seen by Dr in the Hallway because they were busy. This was on a Friday had a CT done and MRI told me there was a spot on my head. Could be tumor could be MS they weren’t sure and sent me homeB KWent in and was taken back quickly. Waited three hours for anything to happen. Knew it was an infection, but the test will take three days. So it will come back christmas day, but they said ask on thursday. Why wait? Doesn’t make sense. I understand they probably don’t have much staff on christmas. Was told if it gets worse go somewhere else the next day or following monday. If I need to go somewhere else that doesn’t give me a lot of faith in this hospital. Three hours with no communication shows a lack of staffing and/or training. Just to be told these antibiotics are to treat a possibility of things, but not a specific thing. Might work, or maybe not.Eric Will⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAwesome staff… they will park your car for you, greet you warmly, and escort you to you room. It is also a safe hospital. Staff have always been very friendly, professional, and helpful. Not uncommon to see people comforting each other in the hospital with prayer. A great spirit lives at Mercy! Nurses and physicians are highly skilled but are very down to earth and comforting to everyone who comes to the hospital.Katie Thomas⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve never been treated with such respect by hospital staff. It was 2 AM and they were all happy with smiles and made me feel so comfortable.Dev RevAlways poor delayed care. Forget to send tests. Wrong diagnosis mulittple times. Nice staff but not so great careDarran StephensVery dirty, you will wait in ER for 6 hours easy. My room currently has someone’s personal medical files just sitting in the room. I took a picture but I’m not going to post due to privacy. This is an extreme NO NO! I included pictures of blood viles that missed the trash can. Extremely gross. Used tissues on the ground! Do they not check and clean these rooms before hand? Do they not care about patient confidentiality?! Leaving 20 pages of a patient’s medical records and admission records in the room?!Shelly Jones⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy dad made a visit to the ER here on a Saturday around 10 am. Got us right in. Extremely friendly, very kind and amazingly helpful. My dad was seen by one of the PA Tanner and he took his time and examined him and explained what his issues was and how to care for it. Excellent experience! The 2 RN’s we had Stephanie at check in and Riley in our room were both excellent! Sherry in admission was just as pleasant as the rest of the staff! We will return in the future if we have an ER issue. 2 Bad experiences at Siloam Springs ER and will make the drive and bypass them right on to Rogers!Autumn Brewer⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI used mercy throughout my pregnancy and my birthing experience was amazing. Dr. Karen Hargas delivered my son and i have nothing but positive things to say about her. Almost 2 years later my son got sick and i brought him to the ER. There was little to no wait and the worked quickly to find the issue and find a solution. We were quickly moved to the fifth floor to stay due to my sons condition (pneumonia) And the fifth floor (everyone that i encountered working) was kind and willing to do what it took to make us comfortable. So grateful to have such a loving hospital so close.HL SmithI guess the DMV does the staff training here. If you have a choice, go to Washington Regional. My experience there was much more positive and less ‘religious’. Personally, I think a man hanging from a cross bleeding in every room is insanity! And the prayer each night is also disconcerting if you are not a Christian. #theyaretryingtokillmegetmeouttahereKyle CulverFailed to wear gloves during IV insertion. Horrible bedside manner. Not once did the nurses or doctor close the door upon leaving the room that someone was indecent in. The only person in the building that knew what was going on was the ultra sound lady and she was amazing. The rest of the staff was rude and obnoxious.Travis Shiloh⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe Pharmacy is a Walmart Pharmacy . The pharmacist working there is a man with some facial hair with some gray I think. Was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had! Was very discreet. Double checked our prescription due to potential conflicts of meds! Took spouse too the side to administer immunizations! Ended it with it was nice to get to know you! A very professional and thoughtful person! Felt very much taken care of and safe. GREAT EXPERIENCE! #givehimaraiseThe Skinny on Life⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI took my friend to this ER at 12am on a Sunday morning a few weeks ago for an ankle injury and all the staff was so helpful and kind. I appreciated that.Toni FentonMy son ended up having a 3mm kidney stone, but being a cancer patient and undergoing chemotherapy, we didn’t know what was wrong. • Couldn’t get anyone to come outside to help me get him into a wheelchair. • After 20 minutes, had to go out to hallway to get someone to see him, as he is still writhing in pain. • They clogged his PIC line trying to draw blood. Finally moving to the other arm, they got blood all over the place. His arm was covered in blood, the floor, the bed. Nurse did a basic wipe off on his skin which left lots of blood. I had to say something. He will probably have to have his PIC line redone at oncology, which is not comfortable at all. • His heart rate dropped very low between 45-50, which concerned them during his CAT scan. Back in his room, while writhing in pain, he knocked a lead off his chest. No one came in to check why his heart rate flat lined. • A hospital worker came into his room while he was at CAT scan looking for billing information. The woman was hacking, sneezing, coughing, wiping her nose. I told her he was a cancer patient undergoing Chemo. She said, oh, I’m sorry. I said you need to leave and don’t come back without a mask. She chuckled and said, oh, yes, I should probably wear one. • When they came to release him, they said, “you can go anytime now.” Son asked about the leads on his chest. She said, you can just pull them off. • There were no instructions, except 3 scripts. Just go home. It should pass. But today I got a call from a urologist saying he was referred by the hospital to see if son needed surgery or a procedure to break the stone up. They never said anything like that to us. There is so much more, but I have wasted enough time on Mercy already. Never again! No!Deborah AdkinsThe cafeteria closes before 6 in the evening. The only thing to eat is subway, we do not want a sandwich. So then I thought I would get peanut butter crackers from vending machine, swiped my card did selection , did not get anything . Tryed to cancel but no place to do this. Called a phone number posted but had to leave message. Care givers need food as well as patients. Not only do they close well before dinner hour, but they close for the weekend. Ridiculous.FrothyKick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have to say I am very grateful for all the staff and doctors whom have contributed to saving my father’s life in multiple situations with complicated multi body system circumstances ( highly complex). Dr Riley Cardiologist, Dr Pench (critical care medicine) and Dr Schaffey ( Cardiologist- did a highly challenging procedure in like 20 minutes instead of 4 hours it could have taken) plus The Hospitalists like Dr Dunn and Dr Donnelly. The nurse whom admitted my father maneuvered throughout the room and thru the long hallways so gracefully while on a scooter as her foot was broken. The valet service is excellent and so many amazing volunteers assist you if you need it.Joseph Hacker⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreatstaff great doctors good place to go if you’re needing helpDawn Spiller⭐️⭐️⭐️My friend went in after a fall, many other paitents went back, less critical. Need to have better triage nurses. Northwest Medical in Bentonville is faster with same quality care. FYI.Michael Fischer⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve had 4 experiences with this hospital, all of them were great! Very friendly staff. 1 ER visit: I brought in a friend who had chest pain. They admitted my friend quickly and after it turned out to be non life threatening, we were on our way again. 1 MRI visit: I arrived when I was scheduled to; I was injected with contrast die using the biggest needle I’ve ever seen in my life, and everything went as expected. 2 surgeries: On both occasions I was checked in promptly and everything went smoothly.Kateryyn FloresCalled to schedule an ultrasound for someone that doesn’t speak English fluently and received terrible service, I hope the “recorded conversation” is heard because the lady that helped me laughed when I asked how she wanted someone that didn’t speak English to say it was okay for me to speak on their behalf. I didn’t find any of it funny. Why do you have someone working there that’s so close minded and find things like this funny. Terrible!!Jimmy Cline⭐️⭐️First baby here in 2012. Had an epidural but they turned it off as soon as the baby was born. Stitches hurt soooooo bad I had my next two at northwest. Dont want to risk that again. Also, took him to ER 2 years later because he had been vomiting for a week and couldnt hold down food. A man told us it was just a bug and would go away on it’s own and was okay if he could hold liquids and he didn’t prescribe medicine. (He couldnt even hold down purees though) he acted like we shouldn’t be there and said if the insurance didn’t think it was an emergency they wouldnt pay for it. We were just concerned parents though! It was paid for and he did get well, but that guy was a total stuck up money horder.Mary SamuelI get it, you’re limited on staff but my dad has literally been in this damn hospital since the previous day. Not one doctor has showed up to let us know what his results are. He came in to the ER due to having trouble breathing and even then, there wasn’t a single doctor. The nurses can only do so much. It makes sense if you have him wait a few hours but an entire day and a half with nurses checking up here and there is ridiculous! He had been admitted and still, NO DOCTORS! It’s so crazy to me that we have to ask about results rather than being told what they are.Alma GarzaTook my daughter to the ER in Bellavista the nurses label you as soon as they know why you are there for! My daughter could not answer any questions what so ever and the insisted on asking her questions! The Dr. Who saw her was calling mercy in Roger’s and while talking to that Dr. You could hear their entire conversation!! When we arrived at the mercy in Roger’s the Hospitalist who was attending my daughter was so rude and she was yelling at her telling her she was going to be going away for what she had done? Like if she was some kind of criminal? Really? What kind of Hospital treats Their pts like that? There was no compassion what so ever!!! But this was the last time we use Mercy!Diana RezaTerrible ER would never recommend going there, I had to sit in the waiting room for 5hours and I was not attended I was having intolerable back pain and abdominal pain, the nurse told me I couldn’t be attended till they had a parent consent which was understandable for the reason that I am 17 years old. When ever she told me that she had also asked me to pee in a cup I said okay, I went to go do that came back asked where do I put this (to the guy in the front desk) he said just leave it there I said okay went to go sit down not once did she ask me anything not a single question of what I was feeling where I was feeling it, just peed in a cup and sat down 2 hours had gone by and I just wasn’t feeling any better and there chairs were just not helping either that’s when I asked the nurse that was on night shift how much longer would it be she said when a room was open that I was one of the next patients to go in that she would let me know, in my head I was like okay well I came in before all of them so I should be next, 1 hour had gone by after asking and still nothing. (And yes I realize I should’ve gone somewhere else but I was exhausted and hurting so I wasn’t thinking) later after still being in the waiting room the night nurse leaves and the morning nurse comes in and a few mins go by after the nurse gets settled, she then calls THREE patients that came in last like no joke. I was already mad so I didn’t wanna go talk to the nurse and come off rude, so my boyfriend goes up and asks she tells him that they go in a matter of pain, well okay after he tells me that i was furious because not a single damn nurse asked me my level of pain so I really wanted to know how the hell she knew my level pain like SORRY I wasn’t breathing like the guy sitting in front of me or like the guy pacing behind me I sat still and quiet because every time I got up it felt like I was falling apart. So in conclusion I didn’t stay left. But mins before we had left we saw an older women coming in crying and only 20 mins had passed and she was still crying I felt bad for her because she left after speaking with the nurse and her husband was mad as well and I honestly don’t blame him. We made a joke saying they should have more doctors there than security because we had seen at least 8 security guards there. ALSO HOW THE HELL ARE YOU AN ER WHEN ALL YOU HAVE IS ONE DOCTOR ON CALL AND THERE. LIKE SERIOUSLY!!!!!Chantelle C. Dobbs⭐️⭐️⭐️We had to take my grandmother here to their ER they were quick to get us seen. But it was crowded and my husband ended up getting sick the next day. Guess that comes with the territory.Laura Money⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy mother has been through the ER, the ICU, and Cardiac unit. Everyone here, surgeons, facility staff, nurses, doctors, and all have been amazing to us. Everyone has patiently explained whatever was going on and gladly gives details when we are ignorant of the medical jargon.Erica CastroVery rude workers! I work in health care and know it can be rough and busy. There is no reason to be rude to your patient’s or their family.. From the moment i walked in they just had such attitudes and dismissed what i had to say about my sick daughter.I haven’t been to their emergency rooms in years now i remember why.. I’ll be going else where from now on.Jon ScheileWe went into the ER to treat our son for we didn’t know what. First they took a cup of urine which did not get labeled and sent to the lab. It got to stay on the counter of our room for an hour and a half while the nurse we had stabbed our son 4 times in his right arm and kept digging and pulling out and back in above his left wrist (as she seemed to be getting annoyed with our son my wife and me both saw her start twisting the needle in his wrist as if to take her anger out on a 3 year old). If you see you are causing someone let alone a child extreme pain, then the best course is to stop what you are doing. My wife said enough and as the nurse did, rolled her eyes and pulled out the needle immediately and left. We sat in that room for another 40 minutes and I decided we are leaving because of the unprofessional nurse and the way she handled our son. As I wrapped his bracelet around the urine cup and gave it to the same nurse who was rude to us, I said we are not doing the blood draw anymore. “Oh I know”… why keep us so late when the hospital could have used that room for another patient to get bullied by her? I called the hospital in Hope’s that someone will tell me that disciplinary actions were going to be taken. But all I got was “one of our managers will call you back in the morning and all I can say is I’m sorry how our nurse treated your little boy”. It has been over 9 days now. Still no call back. All this taking place around midnight… took him to the children’s hospital during the next day. He is all better and they didn’t even have to stick a needle in him. I will be reporting that nurse and this hospital to who ever I can now and warn who ever I can.SRCCaution: the doctors in use at Mercy are NOT employees of the hospital, so MOST likely your insurance will not pay for services rendered at this hospital and you’ll pay an exorbitant out-of-pocket fee. I used the ER at this facility several months ago. Although the hospital was listed as in-network by my insurance plan, and I only ended up paying $300 out of pocket with insurance covering the other 90%, I was billed nearly 4 months later by the ER physicians’ group to the tune of nearly $1100. Turns out, even though we never even spoke with a doctor, no medication or treatment was given beyond a simple saline drip, and only a nurse or an aid ever came into the room, somehow a company named “Southeastern Emergency Physicians” feels they have some right to a large chunk of money. Upon check-in, we were told that the hospital did take our coverage, but nobody ever verbalized that they have a physicians’ group who apparently are not on any insurance providers’ networks.David HickmanWith pain in my neck, back, and arms, I made an appointment to see my regular doctor at the VA hospital, who referred me to Mercy hospital, through our Veterans Choice Program. The care was “okay” as it consisted only of a discussion. So, the Mercy billing department prepared the bill for my insurance company (Aetna) but failed to actually send it. As time went by, Mercy decided to bill me directly for the services. They have since turned it over to collections. So, though the services happened about two years ago, to this day I have debt collectors calling me. So, be prepared, if Mercy fails to bill your insurance company on time, you will have bill collectors hounding you for the next several years. Update: today is now Nov 28, 2018. The debt collectors continue and I now get the mystery phone call about the vehicle warranty being out about 10 times a day, always from a different number that does not actually exist. Mercy Hospital is very unmerciful. They should have written it off as a bad debt a long time ago. It’s their own fault for not filing the claim on time.Realities HereI’m a patient at their Behavioral health and this is NOT A FAITH BASED HOSPITAL, the therapists are Bonafide sociopaths !! You will have your rights violated, and they never read their own Mission Statement. Complaints ignored and their narcissism is borderline Criminal ! I went to the pastor and he lied and I even found out he claims to have Aurthored a book ( I looked it up and somebody in Florida wrote it ) BEWARE !! YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS AT MERCY !! I will be reporting to the quality of patient safety, the joint commission. Arkansas Dept. Of Health, and get a patient Advocate from Medicaid ! And forget finding a human to talk to on Saturdays, the place was EMPTY OF EMPLOYEES ! IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM !!Kristen FranksWaited for 3 hours and didn’t see a doctor and wasn’t checked on by a nurse. Severely understaffed.David Powell⭐️⭐️⭐️From my observation this past week with my wife on cardiac floor, the medical staff is top notch. The food staff has hugh issues that need to be fixed. They still keep messing up her food order with her dietary requirements. On top of that I was with her over the weekend and they close the cafeteria. Management must think people do not eat on the weekend. Only looking at numbers not the human aspect of a hospital.Jeff BougherI wouldn’t recommend visiting Mercy whatsoever. I made a visit to the ER recently and my out of pocket total was going to be in excess of $600; I was asked what I wanted to pay that day, to which I requested $150, and would like them to bill me the remainder. That’s what they gave me on my receipt. Instead, the next day they not only charged the $150, but then took it upon themselves to suck out an additional $621 and then two days later decided they wanted to take another $100, all of which was done without my consent or knowledge. Then, when I called their account services line, I was told, “we don’t see those at all, you probably need to call your bank.” Regardless of the fact that my bank shows POSTED transactions listed as Mercy Hospital Rogers. Yeah, some coincidence, huh? They wanted documentation of these charges, which I told them I’m happy to email right over. They said I had to fax them, or send them by mail. When I told them I didn’t have immediate access to a fax and absolutely was not going to tolerate sending by mail and waiting endlessly to have this remedied, they acted like that was too bad for me. Absolutely ludicrous to have a hospital of this size be so careless with patient’s finances, and so callous about rectifying their mistakes.Mike Rogers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWas in MERCY for an unplanned (5)Bypass heart surgery, knew I was in trouble but didnt know how bad… Excellent testing and reaction to results, no doubt saved my life. Excellent professional doctors and nursing personnel… Dr. Weathers Sr. was my HEART DOCTOR. Actual surgeons the absolute best!! Was treated extremely well and made to feel at ease in a very critical situation. Follow up was fantastic and CARDIAC REHAB the best All hospitals are over crowded and at times pushed to their limits, and medical personnel asked to be happy, friendly and johnny on the spot 24/7…. It doesnt happen 100% of the time but I honestly believe MERCY works hard at trying to be perfect.hkylesI was referred to Mercy from the Health Department, but when I changed doctors, a person from Mercy called and threatened to notify the Health Department like I was a student in school that needed to be sent to the principal’s office.Yuliya CrowderThe worst experience ever!!!John KoppThis one star rating is for the simple fact that you can not purchase bottle water in this hospital. However, there are machines everywhere to get soda, energy drinks, and cappuccinos and other sugar drinks. Its disapointing and fustrating when others think they can make choices for everyone. Also, In a place where there are all kinds of illiness, I only trust bottle water.Gage StanfillThey treat the patience horrible. They dont have a nursery for the baby to let the mother rest after giving birth. They leave the door wide open when they leave while you just asked them to shut it behind you. Its happening as i type this. They are disrespectful and act like we shouldnt ask questions or just automatically know the answers. This place just sucks.Pat Roswurm⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedTy all fore taken good care of my little brother so well since I live in bartelsville, Okla.his name is Levern Weber room 421 I think’s to all the staff there! AND HART Dr.And the other Dr.to and I mean it from of my hart.
