Before you go to Mercy Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Baltimore emergency room think.
Tyler MurrayYou will wait for at least 2 hours, which is interesting because who has two hours in AN EMERGENCY? Disgraceful. They shouldn’t be allowed to care for anyone. I’m waiting here with my two-week-old son who’s having terrible digestive pain. They don’t even have pity for babies. AVOID LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT (because it could).Niyeah NolanThe doctors are awesome! Unfortunately the staff needs to go back to school and reveiw personal conversation in the work place. They are extremely loud and no one’s cares about her boyfriend and he’s kids mother. It’s tacky and unprofessional.Lynne TulipI plan to go out of my way to be sure to avoid Mercy Crisis & Mercy ER – actually, I never want to go there at all in any department.Jacqueline EleyToday I sat in University of Maryland ER for a hour and a half without being registered. That promoted me to leave and come to Mercy medical center, in hopes that I would be seen in a more timely fashion. Nope! I’ve been sitting in the ER since 5pm and it’s now 10:11pm. I haven’t been seen. I haven’t had anything for pain, despite communicating to the triage nurse that my pain level is a 9/10 on their pain scale. I’ve been sitting here bleeding pretty steadily from a dog bite for the last five hours!!! If it weren’t for possibly needing a rabies vaccination, I would have left a long time ago. This wait time is ridiculous! And get this, there are people here who have been here longer than me. GiinaThere was only 2 people when I came into the ER. Triage nurse said someone would be with me soon. I don’t know what her definition of soon is but I been in here waiting for 2 hours. I’m in so much pain right now. They don’t care. I will never come back here unless I absolutely have no other choice. Mercy Emergency Room sucks.Denisha weaver-keatonI guess you have to be dead to get took to the back. I’ve been sitting waiting for over 2.5hrs!! I only had this option because they were closest and I regret it cause this has happened on numerous occasions…Nicki WelchExtremely unorganized between doctors and nurses, between mixing up our medication with another patients & a huge miscommunication on blood test results we left feeling extremely paranoid and questioning what else they might have mixed up. Although I understand mistakes happen I felt that there was just too much disorder and unprofessionalism for me to trust them. It is absolutely appalling that your doctors and nurses discharge patients questioning their own diagnosis and medication. Whether it was an honest mistake or not – that kind of miscommunication and lack of attention to detail of your doctors is stressful and terrifying for patients and their families.John Colon⭐️⭐️AwwConcreteROSE02This emergency room is horrible, it seems they will let you die in the emergency room before someone sees you. The wait in the wait area and in the back is crazy. 2 hours in the waiting room, 2 plus hours in the back and still waiting. I’ve been in excruciating pain the whole, I was literally crying in pain, now my wrist is numb, stiff, and I can not move my hand If I move an inch I’m In extreme pain I will never come here again and I am sure I’m going to switch to Med Starr …. Mercy Emergency as staff is heartless.Tanya Roslan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is by far my favorite hospital to go to. I wish I lived closer to it. Everyone is so nice and ready to help.Tia Jackson**GRAPHIC CONTENTS***** I WISH I COULD GIVE -STARS!!!!! I went to the ER @ 10pm with pregnancy complications. I told the triage nurse that i was cramping for 2days , spotting on the first day and bleeding today with small clots. She rushed through my triage and handed me a specimen cup, I was instructed to give a urine sample (the bathrooms were inside the waiting area and all 3 were dirty and nasty) and bring the cup back to her in the triage room. After a hour and a half i still found myself still sitting in the waiting area BLEEDING, heavier at this point and cramps are way more excruciating. I then called the hospital to see if i could speak to a patient advocate and or hospital administrator because i couldn’t understand why my medical condition wasn’t being taken seriously. I was transferred to a nurse manager and told that when i was triaged the nurse didn’t feel i was in distress so it could be up to a 4 hour wait. She said she would send the charge nurse to talk to me. She did. It was The triage lady again. She simply told me i had to wait my turn, i said mam i could loose my baby, she said I’m sorry you have to wait your turn.. all the beds are full.. what about labor and delivery? You have to be 20weeks in order to go there, I’m crying in anger but it’s an emergency i could loose my baby… we went back and forth a bit and before she turned to walk away she said “you know you can go somewhere else and be seen” and i went off!!! . I called the nurse supervisor 3-5 more times.. even the security started to call and ask for assistance for me… At this point I’m in the waiting area for about 2hours or more before I’m called to the back. FINALLY i can check on my unborn right ? NO! They are all in cahoots. So i go in the room and the NA I’m guessing tells me to get undressed (the glass door is still open) and says would you like a STD/HIV test? I then replied i wanna check on my baby. I asked her the charge nurse name (i had forgotten i was so furious) She told me they don’t give out names!!! How professional? So they eventually started the process of examining me and all of a sudden they don’t see any signs of a Baby… REALLY?!! But clearly I’m pregnant!!! Needless to say at about 4am they called security because They finally told me i was having a miscarriage and i said to the doctor well maybe this would have been prevented if i wouldn’t have been made to sit in the ER for hours…. She says well that still doesn’t change the fact that you are having a miscarriage! Felt like a slap in the face. How dare her be so inconsiderate to my feelings at a time like this??? Then call security because i lashed out, feeling like the hospital didn’t have any compassion. No time off, No Motrin, No IV (i lost so much blood) No DNC… just follow up with my pc. I’m beyond angry about what happen tonight at Mercy and you can rest assure i will NOT return!!!Victoria CumboI called to ask where to park if you would like to be seen in the ED and the operator for the ED voice sounded very cold, annoyed and short with me.Veronica WileyWil not be coming back unless I don’t have a choice. Never againYetunde AdejareHorrible service!!! Was here from 11am till now I’m still here it’s 16:53. Been here waiting for an antibiotic for ever it’s the slowest service I have received from any ER home and abroad!!! It’s ridiculous…Ryan HiltonEmergency Room was unclean, entire waiting room staff didn’t care about patient care and had poor attitudes, bathrooms we’re also disgusting.
