Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital Reviews

Before you go to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this New Rochelle emergency room think.

Robert Hildebrandt⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent care throughout the prenatal scans, delivery, post-delivery care, and discharge from the hospital. All hospital staff – doctors, nurses, and other staff – treated us incredibly well and were highly professional throughout the entire nine months. All staff gladly answered our questions and really went above and beyond. The small hospital size allowed for a more personal touch. We would definitely return if we had another child.Daniel Quiñones⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe maternity and labor & delivery staff were the greatest in delivering my children and taking care me and my wife. They are so nice and sweet. It was a beautiful experience. I would definitely have another child there again.Wendy C Volkmar⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is an excellent place for medical care and for heart patients. God bless the doctors nurses and people who work here! Professional and caring. Clean. Respectful staff.A Bruce⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCaring and dedicated staff. From prenatal screenings to post partum care, I felt extremely supported and in the safest of hands. On my release date, I almost didn’t want to leave! The smaller size facility allowed me to get to know staff and having my own recovery room as standard with roll out bed for my husband was really helpful. Even though my baby’s birth story turned out differently than I had anticipated, I attribute my speedy recovery to the quality of care I received and the birth experience was extremely ositive. I would really recommend the hospital to expectant moms.Daija Goris⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to Montefiore in New Rochelle to deliver my 1st baby. Everyone in the hospital was extremely friendly which made for a pleasant stay. The labor and delivery department was absolutely amazing. All the nurses there were very knowledgeable and helpful . Daisy the night shift nurse was truly a blessing. I was scared being that it was my first time having a baby. She helped me feel comfortable and checked on me very often. Even after Dr. Pali and the staff of nurses helped delivery my beautiful baby girl, Daisy personally request to check on my baby while in the nursery. Additionally, she helped me with breastfeeding since, I was having difficulty. I would definitely recommend this hospital.Richard Leon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFantastic staff. Nurses and technical staff are so compassionate . Extremely competent Social worker transitioned my mom to hospice with Calvery making an extremely difficult time easier.Glory Ihezie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI delivered my baby at this facility. Prior to delivery, I was managed by the maternal and fetal specialist, Dr P. Devine. She demonstrated exceptional professionalism in handling my case; her kindness and empathy is second to none. She and her staff treated me as family and made me feel so relaxed and at ease with my condition. Their support provided me with the much needed strength to thrive and overcome. The Doctors, Nurses and entire staff of the Maternal and Fetal Unit proved they are the very best. The level of team spirit exhibited by the staff cannot be seen elsewhere and deserves emulation / modelling to other hospitals/units. My Obstetrician, Dr Garan has wealth of knowledge and takes exceptional care of his patients; I for one. I truly recommend that any pregnant woman seeking for the best outcome should choose this hospital; they deserve to be recognized state/nation-wide.Mari Alvarez My mother-in-law was treated in the Emergency Room on Sunday, November 10th, 2019, she felt violated as to how the doctor put the staples without any local anesthetic cream on her head. Not only was she already in pain from the opening when the tail gate fell on her. She was rude and un-professional and I thought that after this hospital became Montefiore hospital the service was going to improve. A hospital to be successful you must have kind and caring people, that is what makes the difference. And I noticed that the owner only respond to the positive review (not too many).Diana nda⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI delivered my baby there with Dr. Monica Vielman. She was AMAZING. The nursing staff was also wonderful, as scared and anxious as I was, they were so patient with me and supportive. I will definitely recommend themSpace Beauty Spa⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe maternity department is the best one ☝️ when you be there you always want to be pregnant again, they are very professional and make you feel in a family when you be in this department you feel like you’re in the hotel not in the hospital, thanks so much for everythingKianna Lowe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis was my first pregnancy and the journey was scary and beautiful all at once.  The Montefiore New Rochelle Labor and Delivery Department was phenomenal!  Through the highs and lows, the entire staff was friendly, caring, warm, and sensitive to my concerns.  And they went above and beyond my expectations in making my weekly visits comfortable and my delivery safe!  I will forever cherish the staff and I am grateful my son was in such great hands!  Thank you Montefiore New Rochelle Maternity Unit !!! You all rock!!!Martha Oceguera⭐️⭐️My sister has been in and out of the ER here as well as Over night stays. The doctors are alright, they don’t go out of their way to understand your concerns. The staff always has sour faces on, and insist on looking at you like you have no right to ask any questions. Just now I had to call this place at 1am because my sister was texting me that she had been calling the nurse via the button they use and told me she wasn’t sure it worked. Therefore I called to ask them to check on her, the person in the 5th floor was EXTREMELY rude and didn’t let me finish my sentence, insisting my sister wasn’t calling because “they were sitting right infront of her room and haven’t heard her call.” It turns out THE BUTTON DIDNT WORK, and if that rude employee didn’t cut me off she would have understood why I called. Hospital staff should be taught proper communication not only with patients but with family of patients or anyone genuinely concerned about that.Dustin Paul Richard⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOur daughter was born here at the beginning of May 2019. Everyone we interacted with was helpful, caring, friendly, and understanding. Despite the fact that there were several other babies being born at the same time, the nurses made sure that we were all comfortable and happy, providing anything we needed often before we realized that we needed that something. We stayed in one of the suites during our two days and it felt like we were on a vacation with our new baby. We’d highly recommend this hospital for parents-to-be and will definitely return for our next child.David Lopez Garbage ER service. Waiting over 2 hours just to leave after being ignored and seeing people coming in after us getting treated first.Jona Martini⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI Went to Montefiore In New Rochelle for my 2nd deliver on September 28th I never got the chance to thank every staff member especially my nurses that took really good care of me. I want to Thank you the nigh shift Clautte (name miss Spelled) and the rest of the night shift nurses to the bottle of my heart for helping me with the Deliver. I was a high risk pregnancy with grade 3 placenta and Plus the cord was around my child neck. All the staff members ensure me everything is going to be okay and it was. They all helped me feel amazing and helped me every step of the way. I wish I remembered all of the nurse’s name that check on me every minute of the day. I also want to Thank you Nicole P. for checking on me and being an amazing nurse toward my baby and I that day I was getting discharged out of the hospital. She explained to me everything that I needed to know before I go home and made me feel comfortable. Thank you to all the nurses, Dr.Pali and Dr.Devine without you the hospital would be lost . GOD BLESS YOU ALL. If I have another baby I will definitely come back there.Ashley Matthews⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey need better staffing…they all had horrible attitudes and the wait times are DISGUSTING. The only good part is the maternity wing…I had my son here 14 years ago and everyone was very caring and patient. If every department could be like that, this hospital would be number one in my eyes.Michael Salvo I think this hospital is got to be worst than those 3rd word country the staff on the 5th floor one is nastier than the other you ask them to do some for the patient they give u on attitude it’s like you bother them my father got coffee on his gown I ask them to change they hand them to me I ask them to give him clean socks they hand them to me its terrible service I hope I never have to come here ever again Its terrible that’s the job they choose now they hated and they treat you like sjitKenneth McClure Terrible since it became Montifiore. I go to White Plains Hospital, top notch Doctors. If I could give Montifiore 0 Stars I would.Tracy Austin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast…in n out! No unnecessary wait time. Excellent staff. Believe me way different from gun hill rd montefiore….a nurse that checked me in told me if I throw myself down she moving out the way so she don’t hurt her back. Mind u I asked for help cause I was lightheaded so y would I throw myself down. I swear she lucky I was sick n by myself. Anyway New Rochelle is the place to be!!!! Thumbs up!Vanasa Sparks Brought my son in the ER. After being triaged we were taken to the back and the entire staff were rude. Not a single greeting after being there for over an hour. When it was time for my son to be seen. They did not even give him a greeting. I rather wait at Lawrence hospital for 12 hours. Great medical team there. New Rochelle hospital is horrible Meagan Correa My girlfriend had a seizure and they gave her drugs to make her tired and told her they couldn’t help her and to go home knowing she couldn’t even walk since she was in and out of sleep. They refused to allow me in the room with her even though she requested me and I am her current care taker.Brotherhood Gear⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedTook my son here two months ago when he was injured in school. They took him right away. The front desk was friendly. The bathroom area very clean. The doctors were awesome with him. I would definitely go back.Shamere Jeffersk I⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had my daughter there great staff wonderful hospital.Glorivel Feliz Castillo⭐️⭐️I drove all the way here yesterday with a pain under my ribs because I had read that the wait time to be seen at the ER was not long… The problem came when they called me inside. They had all their patients together in a small room while asking medical questions (no privacy) and doing blood work. Here I am with the same pain and a day lost at a freezing waiting area. I could have gone to an urgent care…Madelyn Fernandez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy experience at Montefiore New Rochelle was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked in, to my first appointment with Dr. Devine, to my delivery with Dr. Garan, to my child’s first visit with Dr. Gonzalez. Each any everyone of them has walked this first-time-nervous-mom through what to expect and how to navigate all the nuances of childbearing. Dr. Devine- I was asked to see Dr. Devine for my screening at 20 weeks and had several follow ups with her and her team. She was patient and explained all of my child’s measurements at every session. Knowing how my child was developing was not only reassuring but exciting. Towards one of my last scans it was determined that my baby was not growing as expected. Dr. Devine worked with Dr. Garan who was my OB to develop a plan of action incase I needed one. I was looped in the whole way and kept abreast of my situation as well as my baby’s. Dr. Garan- I have been seeing Dr. Garan for a few years now and have always felt that he is professional, confident, and reassuring in all my interactions with him. He has helped me to understand my particular medical situation and how to ensure that I am prepared for life milestones like; the prevention of children, and then the decision to bear a child. On delivery day he was attentive and checked in on me and my comfort level all along the way. I felt as if I was important and that my delivery was a priority to all involved. Dr. Gonzalez- Looking for a pediatrician for your child is no easy feat. Wanting to find someone perfect who will be essential to your child’s medical journey is a must. That is how I felt when meeting Dr. Gonzalez. She was wonderful in handling my child and helping ease my mind on what he needed. She has provided guidance on how to help keep my sons weight gain going and what are some new-mom must know. Overall I can not say enough about my experience at Montefiore New Rochelle. From their doctors, to the staff of nurses, and other employees, everyone is friendly, kind, and helpful to say the least. I would highly recommend them all for their incredible abilities.Sara-Jay L⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff on the maternity ward are the best. Shout out to nurse Asheena! The room was clean, and the environment was quiet and calm. Even though the nurses were assigned to multiple patients, you’d never know, because of how attentive they are. They’re also very patient and informative.Ted D.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMuch improved! In the past we’ve generally avoided Sound Shore but last night went to the ER at Montefiore – New Rochelle when my son had a really severe breathing issue and everyone we encountered there was excellent. From the moment we walked in – from the person who checked us in to the nurse, and the doctors we had such a good experience. Actually surpassed our last few trips to other local hospitals which is saying a lot!Dana Brown STOP HOLDING PEOPLE HOSTAGE & STARVING THEM! WOULD YOU LIKE A LAWSUIT!!Sheila Edwards-Garcia Horrible hospital, the administration allows over night workers to park daily in parking for emergency room patients. So emergency room visitors must park late at night on the other side of the hospital, far away from emergency room late in an already dangerous part of town, this makes no sense. Plus the hospital is unsanitary, it’s filthy dirty, even smells unsanitary. It’s really sickening. I had to spend the night there some years ago but refused to shower in this nasty hospital, I waited until I got home, and I never not shower, but it was like being in a substandard hospital room in a 3rd world country. Ironically, I was born and raised in New Rochelle, and this hospital used to be spotless, but not now. I’d rather go to Bronxville or White Plains, but never New Rochelle. And that is sad!Meg Furio⭐️⭐️I had a total hip replacement at Montefiore New Rochelle in early June. The surgical and recovery teams were incredible and that part of my procedure was excellent. But the experience the first night on the hospital unit was not pleasant at all. My pain wasn’t managed well and the nursing staff took several hours to address the issue. I definitely think the nursing staff needed to be more responsive and empathetic. I suspect that was the result of not enough staff on duty. Maybe the pain management team was being too conservative in dealing with my pain because of the opioid crisis. However, I’d like to see any one of the staff members deal with the level of pain I was in for three hours on what is basically Tylenol 3. I don’t think any them would volunteer for that test.Doris Corea My granddaughter who’s at culinary college in New Rochelle just now was told point blank her pain was not passing a stone and just a UTI. Right now I’m livid here in NJ knowing she’s standing outside the ER in severe pain. They gave her an antibiotic (which she’s had quite a few times since the new year), a urologist to go to and no pain meds! She’s ready to collapse from the pain! Thank God she didn’t go there alone. Standing there crying and she’s not a baby about things!Kevin Jerome Terrible. I got sick with strep throat last year, and when I went to the hospital a female nurse just looked at my throat and said I had something else. She didn’t run any tests and gave me medicine. I got worse a week after. I was really bad. When i got back, a male nurse actually ran tests then told me she gave me the wrong medicine. If I knew better, I would’ve filed a law suit.JillianbyHart I plead with you do not got to this hospital if you can go to white plains, bronxville or valhalla not to this hospital, bedside manner is atrocious, I was in the emergency room had the worst experience possible NO one was empathetic or showed any compassion when I asked questions and requested what is really wrong with me the nurse with an attitude diagnosed me without even taken the necessary tests, I did not see a doctor only a Nurses- the place is trashy all lot of doctors/nurses talking laughing gossiping about others running around doing whatever I was their from 5PM did not leave until 2AM all I was given was a RX for antibiotics- and referred me to a urologist. The only “I hope you feel better soon” was from the x-ray tech and CT tech, all the Nurse said to me was take the antibiotics and I was discharged.Marcella D’Aston⭐️⭐️ER is great if you want to wait for 2 hours with nothing being accomplished. Broke my finger and came straight here – it’s never fully healed because they did next to nothing to fix it.Bunny Herrera⭐️⭐️I had my daughter here in 2015. I walked in with labor pains every 3 mins. I was offered a wheelchair by a security guard but as soon as i sat down I was told by one of the nurses to get up and walk to the delivery room. I was in labor for six hours. Was a natural birth (my choice). My stay was ok. There is no shower in the room I stayed in which I hated that. But there is a room down the hall that has shower stalls for all the new moms to wait to use. It took half a day to discharge my baby and I. I asked what was the hold up? I was told that they were understaffed, and there had been budget cuts. When I was given the ok to leave, a wheelchair was not offered like many other hospitals do. I had to walk all the way to my car still sore and bleeding from labor. I am not giving birth here ever again.Kasi Cora This hospital kills people. They murdered my mother in law today 12.14.18. Wish i could give a 0 for the review. She went in to get a simple procedure done and she never came out. The doctors are incompetent and have no idea what they are doing and have no compassion for people. The staff in the ICU were practically pushing us out the door telling us not to come back and all we could do is find a funeral home asap so they can transfer her to them quickly. So many questions left un answered. Doctors and nurses half answered our questions.Even still we have no idea what happened from the time they took her to the OR till she died. How does a healthy women enter a hospital for a simple knee surgery and the ends up dead.?!!! Its crominal. I DO NOT recommend this hospital if you value your health or life.Kesha Tiktok Atrocious hospital and atrocious service. Literally no doctor exists in this hospital, all they currently have are just wannabe doctors otherwise known as “P.A’s-Physician Assistants” who barely put in any effort towards properly and accurately diagnosing you. Much less even provide any sort of comfort whatsoever. The patient rooms are rarely put into use and instead they make you wait and get treated IN A WAITING ROOM CHAIR. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL, ESPECIALLY FOR WHAT MY CO-PAY IS AND WHAT INSURANCE IS PAYING FOR. This hospital is literally MUCH WORSE than a third world country hospital, and this is coming from someone who has ACTUALLY BEEN TO a third world country hospital. To think that I was tragically born in this hospital, beyond sickens me. It surprises me that I didn’t die during my birth. But my mother almost did so during my birth, due to none other than medical negligence…unsurprisingly of course.Boa Storm We came because my boyfriend had a growth in his hand that caused him extreme pain. For some reason they told us to make an appointment for Dr. Insul. We made an appointment at 8AM because we both have to go to work afterwards. The guy at the sign in desk told us that it’s first come first serve even if you have an appointment. He then decides to tell us that Dr. Insul doesn’t even decide to come in until 9AM (Mind you, he only works one day a week). We finally got into the “doctors office”, which is just a converted patient room, we waited about 30 minutes for the doctors assistant to come in. He was helpful enough, gave us a prescription but then told us that the doctor was still not in “due to the snow”. By this time it was past 9 and sunny outside. We were told we could wait for him but they didn’t know when he would come in. UPDATE: We got our records from the hospital and the “doctor” never even bothered to specify which hand was in the most pain on the chart. I would literally rather die than go back to this hospital again.Silvia D A few years ago, i was suffering through some abdominal pain doctors here told me it was because of my period & released me home after that. I woke up the next morning feeling worse, My face was literally a greenish – yellow color , so i rushed to Valhalla & they told me my liver was swollen and i was really sick. Stayed in valhalla for a week and they treated me properly the way Montefiore should’ve.A G Horrible. Came in an ambulance after glass cut my face at work. Doctor didnt even look at it. My boss had already put ointment on it and a bandaid. The doctor did not clean it off. He just glanced and wrote it down as a “contusion”. But I was given a tetanus shot. So how could it be a “bruise with blood under the skin” if it was cut by glass and bleeding? And my papers dont say anything about how it was bleeding or how i got a tetanus shot. When I questioned Doctor Jansen Tiongson (i think his name was. I honestly dont care. Whoever he was he was a horrible person), when i questioned him he yelled at me to get away from his desk “now” and “sit down”. So i spoke to the nurses and they argued with me that it was a contusion but also that “your medical record will show that it wasnt just a contusion”. Which i highly doubt is the case and doesnt make any damn sense anyway. So now Im going to see another doctor in the morning to treat my laceration. And the ambulance was a waste of time and the whole visit was too. My laceration is still bleeding and i hope it actually doesnt need stitches. So yeah thanks for completely nothing.Anthony Camaj⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My daughter was born premature on February 6th at this hospital. I would like to say that the entire staff in NICU is unbelievable. Being a first time parent it’s a pretty scary feeling when your baby needs to be in there but everyone from the neonatal doctors to the nurses made sure we knew that the baby is in good hands. The entire maternity ward nursing staff deserves a huge huge round of applause and there are a few that personally stand out. Katherine Tully and Lisa. I could go on but I just want to thank you all. The review would be a 5 star but the overnight shift needs a little polishing (they weren’t as pleasant to deal with as the morning staff). Btw baby was discharged 6 days later and is doing great.Amelia Cason⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI gave birth to pre-term twins unexpectedly last week. Though I’d received my prenatal care at Greenwich and was planning to deliver there, there was no time. The ambulance took us to Montefiore New Rochelle. My first baby (born accidentally at home) was admitted to the NICU and I received an emergency C-section. The care the babies and I received has been wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for a more skilled and kind group of doctors and nurses. No, they don’t have all glowing screens and fancy food that Greenwich has but we discovered that none of that really matters; it’s all about the quality of the care. We are so glad to have such good hospital in our backyard.sweetie sweetie Horrible place I’ve been there twice, made. appointment I was. told to be. there 8 am, i had been waiting to be seen 4 hours latter both time, finally they made the ultrasound then never let me see it, just told me I had to do surgery to wait for 3 month and came. back , How can i make. a C section surgery based on nothing, i want to see what is inside of me and what options do i have, they refused to show me.Note: after 4 hours waiting doc spent 10 minutos with me in such a hurry, but the bill came $ 1,800 dollars, plus doc consultation, interesting. Never going to came back.Kelly Florant⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I gave birth here and the nurses were amazing . The dr who delivered my baby was amazing. Everything was good except two doctors. I got 5 star treatment from many of the staff.Earl Mary⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFirst time there. We waited for hours but, you what we have good help from the staff and the doctors. They explained to my husband and they are taking very care of him. He liked the hospital and so do I. If anything happens to me I hope to be taking to this hospital. Thank you for taking special care of my husband. I am very graceful.Thali Ani Outdated and unprofessional. This place exemplified the deprivations within a larger model of the healthcare system. I have been to other Montefiore institutions and the New Rochelle location really tarnished their name. Maybe it was because everyone is a Med Student without experience and we are all subject to being a live cadaver lab for their experimenting. Everyone is a student. The triage nurse couldn’t read my name correctly and had it printed incorrectly on all my documents. When the issue was addressed it was saddening to hear the displacement, especially with such an easy and common name. I hope someone sends funding to New Ro Hospital to help them out. It’s such a eye sore. They apologized for “not having fancy equipment”. I felt like I would have a better experience during an apocalypse. The room I was in was run down and without a nurses button so I suffered in silence, just to get a debriefing 4hrs later, with an apology stating “sorry, our computers crashed.” Ummmm…. yeah, not cool. At least they were apologetic about that and tried to fake the funk. A for effort? Bottom line— DON’T GO HEREDeja Lawrence I took my infant son(2 months old) to montifiore new Rochelle on 9/3 around 6pm because I felt he was in pain and he also had a temp of 104. They ran test, took blood, and did a x Ray , they told me he had pneumonia but he had no signs of illness whatsoever then they gave him medicine to treat it. After being in the emergency room all night they transferred him to the children’s hospital in the Bronx. The next morning I was told by the staff from the children’s hospital that he does not have pneumonia and that new Rochelle made a mistake. When you’re dealing with a infant there’s no room for mistakes. He was given medicine he didn’t need and was poked with needles and had to sleep With an IV in his arm all night for no reason. This is unacceptable!! No baby should be put through all the BS that my son had to go through because the hospital that’s supposed to help just made things stressful. By far the worst experience I’ve had from this place.Nicole Evangalique Bar none the worst Emergency Room ever! Do not go. I had an incident when I could not breathe and was saying over and over that I could not breathe and no one came to assist me. The dr I had seen however said “that is why you are in the hospital” and we are ordering more breathing application. Everyone actually sat a at their computers typing away. True, I had come in for difficulty catching my breath after coughing but this episode was not brought on by coughing and additionally I had just vomited prior and was drenched in sweat which could have meant heart attack. No one came to my assistance. Cold, calloused, seemingly non caring people who should not be serving the public and certainly not the ill. In the 6 hours it took to put me in a room no one offered fluids which I needed with my diagnosis. I am a former nurse and I know what the behavior should be in an ER. They do not . The star goes to the floor nurses who are lovely on the fifth floor. Actually they deserve 5 stars .Brincando com Palavras⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedKathy was the best nurse! The place was efficient and clean!Sammy Daco⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommended
