Mount Sinai Morningside – Emergency Medicine Reviews

Before you go to Mount Sinai Morningside – Emergency Medicine, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this New York emergency room think.

Pratt Homicile Really awful place they can’t seem to find people rooms they can never give a proper diagnostic they make you wait 8 hours to say oh well we couldn’t find anything. And they can’t even give a guess as to what you have when you’ve clearly describe the pain areas and the feeling of the pain to them.adam b Extremely slow at the emergency, nurses , doctors etc waste their time walking around instead of taking care of patients, 2hours wait to take a blood test then another 1h30mn waiting on the results, no supervisor around, it feeels like the workers are on training.Ebony Minto⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe ER staff is awesome. My daughter just had her arm casted and the doctor was gentle and kind…and handsome . Thanks guys✌Shanitah Young So, I went to the ER yesterday. After 6 hours there, for my first bout of vertigo, I am surprised I am even willing to give one star. Noone was attentive. They need an operations team to help streamline the orgnanization of things. It was a logistical night mare and the nurses, techs and Dr. were all speaking about the patients as though noone was around. I spent my entire visit in the HALLWAY for crying out loud. They tried to ask me to change into my hospital gown… in the common area with everyone else. Just ludacris. wheni finally made it to the restroom to change, it reaked of stale piss and toilet paper was everywhere. I vomited just from entry. Not to mention, they messed up my hopspital band. Had me listed as a 52 year old woman; not the right month, day or year?! I gave them my ID to fill out the info so Im very confused how this happened. I should have left, but since I was still unwell, I couldnt. When it was time for my Dr. to put an IV in, he told the nurse that he would “try”. A real vote of confidence considering the zoo that was this ER.Olivia Reeves⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSuper friendly staff, best hospital experience I ahve ever had!! Came in to the emerg for viral pharyngitis, was seen right away (Thursday night) they did everything they could for me and more! Super attentive to my concerns and feelings, even the discharge receptionist took care of my insurance perfectly!Kris U⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSuperior care from the moment we arrived until discharged. Visiting from Louisiana when my son was injured – the entire staff was knowledgeable and accommodating and made a stressful situation more manageable. Special thanks to Dr. Daniel!!!Toni Airaksinen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIf you’re having a true medical emergency, they’ll take care of you fast. 10/10.Chaotic Lady_fairy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️They are actually fast when it comes to child side of the emergency room. One of the few places that have a psychiatrist on call at all times of the day. Since its relatively empty any time I’ve gone there with my kid. The adult side on the other hand is always crowded.Bella Rodriguez This is the worst hospital ever! Please do not come here. They take forever to do everything! To take your temperature, to put you in a room, to give you your discharge papers, it’s just ridiculous!! Then they leave you in the room, come back an hour later ask you the some questions, and “apologize” for the long wait. There is no structure and no sense of urgency. So pisses off!Jezebelle Rebel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️While The Wait To Be Seen By The Doctor Was Frustrating..My Treatment By Staff Was Excellent. •Nurse Leilani •Dr. Cheung •An X-Ray Tech Whose Name I Forgot And That Of The Triage Nurse Was So Warm|Attentive|And Professional. Also The EMS (Aries & His Partner) Were AWESOME & Even Made Me Laugh During Such An Unnerving Time. Thank You All So Very Much♥️ Nadia P. This is NOT A HOSPITAL, but a KILL & LEARN CLASSROOM. Rather than admit when they’re unable to do something, they’ll come up with stupid solutions that will just leave you worse than when you came in. I’ve spent 5hrs with a newborn trying to take a blood test, a simple blood test, that took more than 10 needles in a 4 days born baby just because they couldn’t get it right as they didn’t had the right equipment. A transfer to a different Hospital agreed at 9pm didn’t happened until 3am, when I felt hostage and demanded to be let go as a Taxi would’ve taken me there far earlier and had my kid on treatment way in advance. When I requested to speak to a Doctor, a second year Resident, Williams Egan MD, whom I hold responsable for all the malpractice that I occurred last night (as he insisted in torturing a newborn with needles rather than admit he and/or his team weren’t able to perform the task in a professional way) gave me as he only excuse the phrase ‘there’s a protocol’. So don’t even bother coming, they’d rather kill you in this place (happy with the idea of learning something in the process) than admit they can’t save you.Maria Tash Do not come to this emergency room. You will be here for hours waiting for scans with no offering of food or drink. My very sick mother came here and while the doctors seem competent everyone else passes the buck in a state of extreme inefficiency. Go elsewhere and save hours of aggravation.Moon Child Went to the hospital wuth massive stomach pain and because i have a history of avid reflux they assumed that was the issue, gave me something to coat my stomach but as soon as i went home the pain returned which lead me to go back a 3rd time and nothing helped. Imstead of them doing a thorough exam like getting a sonogram done see if I have an infection didn’t do that they checked for other things though like blood work for kidney functions and stuff like that which had nothing to do with my stomach. What they should have done let’s do a sonogram to see if I had everything. To me I don’t understand what’s the purpose of going to the emergency room if you can’t be taken care of properly smhFlip Bundlez I’m currently in the ER as I write this. I’ve been here since 3pm the previous day. I only came here for an X-Ray and a CT Scan. It took almost 7 hours to get an X-Ray done, then an hour to get the results. Only to wait about 5 hours to get a CT Scan done. I came out the CT Scan room at 3:05am and it took them 30 minutes to bring me bac down. In those 30 minutes I saw several patients be taken in and out the rooms with ease as I waited. As I write this I’m still waiting for results. This has been the most egregious, disrespectful, aggravating visit to a hospital I’ve ever encountered. Not once was I offered food or even water for that matter. I’ve never came across a group of doctors and nurses who don’t care for the patients. I was under the impression it was about patient care. If you have any type of dignity, self respect and common sense, you’ll avoid St. Luke’s ER. They don’t care about anyone. Their actions have shown me that they only come to work to collect a paychec and that’s it. There is no compassion or humanity in this place. For the years I have coming to this institution, it’ll be my last time. Never had I dealt with such disregard of one’s health and time until I stepped into this place 10/29/2018 a little over 3pm. I’m upset, disgusted and disappointed. Please read this and headed my warning before stepping foot here.Heath Austin Brown Nice people, but you’ll wait forever even when it’s empty. Not a very efficiently run ER. Best to go to an urgent care.Alex Ko⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went here into an outpatient surgery and had a great experience. Very polite, attentive, professional and courteous staff. Very clean. Definitely recommend. Very grateful.Ashlyn Ririe I’m not one to complain… But similar to a lot of other experiences, I came to the ER and was there from 9PM till 6AM mostly just waiting for nurses and people to help me. They put me in a small room and said a nurse would be right with me… two hours later someone came in to my room and said “have you been helped?” i said no.. and they said they would have someone come help me. another hour passes by… anyway. I’ve been to a different ER before and it was not like this at all – the second i was in that door, i was in a bed, hooked up, doctors coming checking in, and i was out quick. But for some reason things are just really slow around here. I will most likely not be returning.fiamma valli⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Nice hospital, staff very nice and attentive. The doctors almost don’t touch you, I didn’t have a visit like we are used in Italy, where they look to the lungs, belly, liver, and all your organs, but this is America, and after 9 years here I know how is the health care situation, I can’t compare to Europe where is kind of heaven. I am thankful that they accept my insurance and they took care of me.Sheena C DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT come to this Emergency room. I took my 80 year old grandmother here and we spent 6-7 hours waiting on cat scan and x-ray results for her head. Her record was all messed up in their system and if I hadn’t spoken up or been here with her I’m sure she would have spent the afternoon here into the early morning hours. This hospital emergency room is the absolute worst experience of my entire 30 years living in NYC. Take your loved one or yourself to absolutely any other rossetti Hospital is dirty. Yucky not clean. Not enough staff. Majority of staff and nurses are great but some are rushed and don’t attend to details. Had to ask for everything and watch that they did not miss medication times or double medicate inaccurately. Because of the dirty facilities and dusty air system I immediately got an infection post surgery. I kept complaining about how the pain was increasing each day as they said it was healing. Finally after I threw a loud tantrum they attended to the infection with IV antibiotics and increased pain meds after a week of black out pain. Residents think they know it all but lack most in bedside care and listening. Just awful especially on the weekends. After two weeks I finally walked out knowing I could take care of myself better at home rather than be neglected by residents who didn’t want to change my bandages at the normal time and have me wait for another 12 hours before they would. I was appalled at this behaviour and did not trust their care any longer. Many more issues such as filthy bathroom with urine on floor left for me to clean up, had to ask for sheets with blood on them to be changed. One nurse gave me the sheets to change myself as he spent his time shopping on the internet. Bad news. Don’t go here. Had much better experience at Roosevelt / Mount Sinai West.Hagen Hoferichter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedArrived here at 9 am during the week. Was directly served and never had to wait for more than 10 minutes between the different stations. Everybody was very kind. Thank you!Idalia Cajigas 1 Star is too much! This is the worst place ever. You get better service in a rat hole (sorry rats). 11 hours in the ER. 1 woman was there with a broken arm and they did not even sling her. However, a woman comes in that is related to the 1 Ortho Doctor that was on duty and was in and out. Once we started to act like fools and request that I sign myself out did the Doctor miraculously appear. Here is the strategy, they pump you full of Percocet so you do not realize how long you have been there. I cannot comprehend how this facility is still open and operating in this fashion.winter lee I’ve been here at the emergency room with my daughter for 4 hours and 15 minutes now. My daughter was seen by the doctor 2 hours after being put in a room. An hour later she was given meds which she immediately threw right up. An hour later the doctor comes in again and ask me more questions and after being here for 3 hours already, I got so frustrated that I ask if I could just be discharged because the service were just so horrible. Another hour has passed and we have still been sitting alone in the hospital room. Finally someone comes in with discharge papers and no prescriptions for her stomach at all. Highly disappointed with the service.Aristides Hernandez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A special thanks to my Dr David Forsh who did my knee surgery, the hospitality in the 8 floor incredible with the person who took my belongings at the operation room from the young lady that took my food order Nohasha Singh to the cook that his food was 5 Star,to all my RN Angela,Alsbroded ,Erieda Rodriquez ,Adrian Sultan.if I miss your name you are also include Thank you so mush , 5 star i didnt apply because of the pressure of me going home with so mush pain in my knee with a patella fracture the next day .Thank you all that took care of me I will see your guys soon blessingEee Mail This “HOSPITAL” needs to be shut down or new management immediately!!!adalyss ruiz It was absolutely terrible. I went at 11 am came out at 10:30 pm, they put me in a room and made me wait three hours for someone to come back after i asked several staff for assistance. after hours of waiting on a uncomfortable narrow hospital bed they told me I can go home with no medicine or anything to treat what I had. Then the nurse said she will get my discharge papers so i can go home i stood 3 hours waiting for her to come back, I had to go to the front to ask for my papers and she had left home! Never will waste my time there ever again!Amanda Kelly⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHalf of the photos for this place are of some dude’s birthday partyK Castillo My 15month baby has a really high fever and its been 3hrs and they hadnt give her any med. I cant believe how slow they are .hate how the black nurse at night it’s soo rude.only reason I come it’s cuz it’s the closest near my house . I’m like crying because they hadn’t help herPeter Sinclair Campbell This place is a pigsty. The exam room they put me in had used gloves on the floor and looked like it hadn’t been mopped in weeks. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting—used toilet paper on the floor. I now know why “death by hospital” is in our country’s top 10 leading causes of death. Horrible staff. I’m surprised they can legally keep this place running.Johnny Sanchez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFirst time (and hopefully last) coming here! The nurses are very attentive and friendly. The doctors are very knowledgeable and explain well whatever its going with you. Really loved the attention and care I received here!KM Kill Musick They killed my best friend in 2011 due to negligence and incompetence. Recommended to avoid this hospital at any and all costs.Karen Winfield⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMount Sinai St Luke’s Roosevelt hospital morning side. Is a good hospital they have served my hospital needs very well. I live in Brooklyn. And I travel there. The best hospital. And the service there.has my life good.I’m thankful to that hospital.Spooky This is a review from the gyn department. I don’t understand what’s the point of making an appointment if your going to be sitting for 2 hours after your appointment time. There’s is barely anyone in the office and I still haven’t been called. Time needs to be seriously improved in this office. Also avoid Ms. Brenda Brathwaite. As soon as She entered the room She didn’t even introduce herself. She just sat her gigantic butt down and starting writing on her note pad. She has terrible bedside manner. She’s extremely rough and rushed doing the vaginal examination and seems to hate her job. She didn’t even ask about past medical history or asked if there’s any current discomforts.H Brown⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe definition of comprehensive care, they’re so thorough. When I visited today, the first thing they did was take a chest xray for my foot.Leona Schulman After firing that nurse, I will never go to your hospital again. I’m getting sick and tired of Black people getting insulted.Lisa Wilkes I arrived at the ER around 10:45 for asmatha & a knee injury. Was taken in the back at 11:15 and didn’t receive a treatment for my asmatha until 12:05, when I started complaining. Its not even crowded. Staff, very lazy & slow! I will not come here ever again… I will be sending the director of the ER an email.Juan Alvarez The doctor never performed service on me, however, the nurse took over humiliating me and embarrassing me. This was the worst I have ever experienced from a medical staff in my life. The nurse on duty, Sunday April 15th, 2018, was not very easy to talk to; she would respond with sarcasm, rude, and attitude; she was determine to want to start a dispute because she went to medical school. I am 63 years pf age and have done extremely well for myself. I went there for cold, and severe flu symptoms. They wanted me to get xray and bilk my insurance. Why would I want to get into argument in a hospital. I went there for medical attentions not an argument. I walked away from there without getting treatments. That nurse should be dismissed from working with people in need of medical attention. That nurse should reported to the disciplinary dept. I know never to go there again. Even the rest of the staff apologized to for what I went through. Two weeks later I received a bill for medical procedures that were never performed on me. I contact the administration dept, as I was sent to 6 six different dept. Each department sent me to a different departments where no one was able to assist me. I was told by each dept “we don’t handle that here; go here..This was fraudlent and illegal. I seen third world hospital cleaner and with more quality staff. This is ({{PURE GHETTO}})), or what ((GHETTO)) stands for, to the max.. My advice to all who read this posting Please I Urged you folks to stay away from that hospital if you can for the sake of medical sercives; Lenox Hills provides better quality of services and respect you as a patient.Dominique Thomas I came in with severe abdominal pain at 11 am in the morning understandable that it’s an emergency room but I was left waiting for transport for an hour finally someone took me for an ultra sound. After getting my ultrasound I was put back into a wheelchair and left in the hallway for an additional hr only for someone from er to explain to me that in evalution B they often forget about their patients and how he was happy to take me to the waiting area.Eileen Levitan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy 22 year old daughter had a partial mastectomy this morning. Nurses and doctors were all attentive, kind, and caring. An excellent experience.David Fowokan If i have to choose between death and going to st Luke’s i’ll Rather choose death. Ever since mt Sinai took over st Luke’s they have been so incompetent. You really don’t know whose’s taking care of you, they send “pain management” Doctors who are act so retarded and stingy with pain medication. They don’t care if your in pain they just want to run your insurance. I will never go back to that hospital from hell.Russell Rovira The place is filthy and disorganized. I waited an hour for a doctor who was yelling about the nurses and pulled me aside for five minutes so he could explain how he’s cancelling my appointment because it didn’t seem he’d be useful. Didn’t even have any of my information or even examine me. Don’t ever come here.Thomas R⭐️⭐️⭐️I was here for 60 days with a life threatening condition. The ICU units are great, but the regular rooms were a nightmare. They lost my pain prescription once. Some nurses were great others never showed up when you rang the button. I spent one night in a situation that no hospital patient should ever have to endure. I was suprised they didn’t fire the nurses (abscently) on duty that night. So, mixed review. A few rare gem nurses were beautiful, caring people that it, obviously, matter to them, others; you were just another butt to wipe.Thomas Marzigliano⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Full service ED. Has every specialty that you would want.Christine Fernandez This hospital is disgusting filthy. Everywhere from the hallways full of dirty to the bathrooms. The waiting room is dirty the garbage is over flowing. There isn’t hand soap in the bathrooms no hand sanitizer in any of the dispensers. If I could give this hospital a 0 for cleanliness I would. Disgusting disgusting disgusting!!!!!Angela Wright⭐️⭐️Very open triage area not good for hippa. Also have sick people waiting in line to be triaged and that is bad service. The care we received was good in fast track but it took over an hour and a half to discharge us home. Definitely need more staff. Will not come back for an emergency.Hiba Ahmed My visit to the hospital ER for not immediately-life threatening but debilitating pain was a waste of time. First, I received no privacy or respect for communicating what was paining me. The front desk staff were talking among themselves having their own conversations, while I was getting helped. Given that it was a Thursday morning the wait was not bad. The first bizarre and incompetent thing that happened was that my vitals were taken twice becuase the information from the first time was somehow lost within the span of 10 or so minutes. This was the first sign of incompetency. Second, throughout the course of waiting in the room, I was visited by several people, including the administrator who took my information. The man came in several times. What made me feel very uncomfortable is that he came into the room while I was half naked to get more information. Third, the numbing cream i was given for the pain did not help becuase it was not even as strong as the otc cream I was already using. Fourth, and the most telling of incompetency, the staff confused me with another patient. As a result, they asked my partner to leave, even though I had stated I wanted him with me, and they pushed uncomfortable questions on me that were not related to my condition, “do you have anal sex? Ever had anal sex? Any penises around you?” It took Dr. Cheryl Chang and PA Tania Torres a while to figure out that they had MIXED ME UP WITH ANOTHER PATIENT! When they realized this, they just LAUGHED for a while, and then relayed to me what happened, as if it was a joke! Fifth, the staff (including nurse Carrie Burton) stated that the prescriptions they gave me were stronger than the otc stuff…yet when I went to fill them, these medications were all otc, and would cost me more to fill through the pharmacy than if I just bought them myself. Additionally, I had communicated to ER staff that I was allergic to a certain ingredient…and one of the meds they prescribed me had the ingredient…It’s further telling of incompetency that I was not properly advised and given medication. Last, the reason I came in was because my pain was so debilitating, and I got no relief for that. In fact, I left feeling much more pain because when I was briefly examined, the nurse/doctor were mot gentle, and they did not stop the examination when I told them to stop due to the pain they were causing. Overall, my experience here was extremely poor and bizarre. I won’t return and would not recommend to others. *The above is an edited version of what I wrote in their patient survey.Margarita Santiago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedmy son is staying at the hospital saint Luke Mount Clark 5 room 39.all the nurses treated him good.i love the way they took care of my son.they did a good job with Karing for my son.i appreciate all of u who helped take good care of my son.Godbless u all.u did a damn good job in Karing for my son.the only thing I did not like was the house keeping.they didn’t do a good job of house keeping.was not happy their performances in their duties in house keeping.but other then that the ones who help my son thank u all.wish u all the best good job.Lily Taveras⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedvery nice doctor n nursesA.R.D.
