MountainView Hospital Reviews

Before you go to MountainView Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Las Vegas emergency room think.

Bruce Richardson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The staff was courteous and respectful. They made the experience of being in a hospital as good as you can expect a hospital visit to be. The nurses were friendly and answered any questions I had. I really liked the food service. It was very nice to be able to order from a menu and get your meal when you were hungry and not just on an arbitrary, schedule. The food was better than expected.Dee Smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNo one wants to stay at a hospital, well let me speak for myself. I went in for something routine and ended up having to stay 3 days. Needless to say, all of the staff was wonderful; however, Jessica B. who was there my last day in the hospital was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!! She made sure that everything was tended to in a timely fashion and go me out of there so I could take my kids on our Christmas vacation. I love her for that.Kris Williams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe entire Mountain View team has been amazing. I’ve had two surgeries in three months and both were outstanding. The team from billing to pre-op to everyone the day of the surgery was just fantastic. Everyone is so friendly and really works together to make you feel calm and cared for. No question that you’re in the hands of a highly competent people.Sandy Murphy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe team and staff are knowledgeable, professional and caring. Great treatment before surgery and after the surgery. Lauren my discharge nurse kept me as comfortable as she can. Brooke and Steven Kiss were very reassuring and caring. Did not want to be in the hospital, but having the best surgeon Dr. Glickman and all the staff were very comforting. Thank You, Sandy Murphybperreault73⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAfter 3 chest tubes and 8 days at another hospital with a pneumothorax I was transferred to Mt. View evaluated and had video assisted thoracic surgery the next day, I immediately began improvement and recovery. I could not give more praise to the Mt. View team. Dr Chung and his surgical team were exceptional. The nursing staff was incredible, I could not have asked for better care. Thank youAnn Rank⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy husband was treated in the emergency room and the staff were very quick and the care was great. Dr. Dota was his cardiologist and saved his life, he is an amazing and compassionate physician who I know was our angel that night! Thank you to everyone who cared for him during this very scary medical emergency. I will recommend Mountain View to everyone!Lulu Corral⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy favorites Hospital in vegas! My 2 children were born there, Here you have your own room and it is very quiet at night. the only thing to order the food take 45 minutes to be taken to the room. everything else very well almost all the nurses were friendly with me! Also the make this especial dinner for me and my husband it was amazing! They do it for all new mom. thank You! Mountain view HospitalCheri Lyford⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The nursing staff was amazing. They were kind courteous and knowledgeable. The Lab techs were very efficient. The medical. Staff was attentive and showed skill and caring The discharge left me uninformed and feeling I was no longer important. Since having had major surgery no reference or care was given regarding diet or restrictions. I know the Dr gave me basic, however I feel the discharge nurse was useless. I could have signed the papers in my room and not transferred to a less than welcoming discharge room.Linda Hanley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was so impressed with everything. The hospital was clean and every single person I came in contact with exceptional. I especially loved Linda in recovery. What a great RNrunningkirk wa⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe needed to use the ER last night. Waiting room was full at 7 pm when we arrived. Renard greeted us first. He was super nice and professional. He was in the last minute of his shift and still super nice and professional. I wished he did customer service with me at my golf course job. All doctors i met and watched were just nice. Dr. Mohamned seemed awesome and young doctor that looks like NFL player were great. We were there 4 to 4.50 hours, 7pm to 11 30 pm. My wife was the patient. She appreciated the warm blanketsSusannah Carpenter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was extremely impressed by your facility. Everyone was super efficient. I was not judged by my inability to afford insurance, they actually cared and treated me as a human being and not a number. Thank you ! Your staff should be commended !!!Jr Betancourt⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest hospital I have stayed at ever! Every nurse and doctor we had were super nice and caring. It definitely made my labor and delivery so much easier❤Lorne Richardson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is a very modern and clean hospital. The staff was very communicative and helpful, and they made me very comfortable both before and after my procedure. Even though it is not at all close to where I live, it is the best place in which I’ve had a procedure performed since I’ve made the Las Vegas metropolitan area my home. If you need to have a procedure performed, I can think of worse places to have it done. Highly recommended.Melisa D⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’m glad I chose this hospital to have my baby. All my nurses were attentive and accommodating of my needs. They made sure that I wasn’t in so much pain and came to assess my pain frequently. Also, the food was great! You and your spouse also get 1 celebratory dinner for having a baby. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.JG DIaz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis hospital has the most kind staff ever. The nurses are so helpful. Thank you for continuing to make my stepfather’s stay at the hospital comfortable. He has no complaints. We had really sad experiences other times at other hospitals in Nevada . We can definitely feel the differenceJosephine Borja⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy 9-day stay at Mountain View hospital was extremely satisfying. The nurses, Sandel, Dion, Sean, Brittney, Hannah, Girlie, and Rosie provided genuine care, their bed side manners were absolutely outstanding. They made me feel so comfortable. With the pains I was experiencing, the nurses did everything they could do to make me feel much better, they informed my doctors when there was a need. These nurses work so hard that sometimes we tend to forget the kindness they provide and as a patient that made a huge difference for me. KUDOS to the mentioned nurses above.DruFath Atarah⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI highly recommend this hospital. This is where I delivered our baby girl. Staff are very friendly and you can tell they know what they are doing. The celebration dinner and cake for our newborn is good as well. Overall, I am satisfied with Mountain View Hospital. Thank you everyone and keep up the good work.Thee Ebby Show⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe Labor and delivery department is outstanding. I had an amazing experience especially it being my first baby. Everyone was very kind and super informative when I had questions. I will definitely be delivering here again in the future ☺️Stacy Russell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had a great experience at MountainView Hospital for the birth of my beautiful daughter. All the nurses and doctors I came into contact with made my 48 hour induced labor experience as comfortable as possible. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was pretty good too! Would definitely recommend MountainView to anyone getting ready to welcome their own little one.Benjamin Schultz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI recently had a surgery there on my left clavicle. They made the process easy to pre-register and save time. All of the nurses and staff were very friendly and helpful. I would be comfortable coming here again, hopefully I won’t need to, but if I do I know that I would be in good hands.Sysena White⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve been in many hospitals. The environment here was welcoming. I didn’t feel that the doctors were trying to rush me out of the hospital. They seemed genuinely concerned about finding what was causing my issues. The nurses, certified assistants, and the nurses in charge were fabulous. I’m scared to name names because so many of them were great and deserve to be recognized. The singing custodian was amazing. Some of the songs he sang while cleaning my room are still ringing in my ears in a good way. Thank all of you sincerely.Vicky Wilks⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff was awesome from start to finish. From labor and delivery to postpartum, I was in the best of hands. All the nurses were very attentive and supportive throughout my time there and they did it all with smiling faces. They did everything in their power to make sure my husband, baby and I were comfortable. It helped a great deal that there was a lactation specialist on duty. Celebratory dinner after baby was delicious. This would be my 2nd baby I’ve delivered at this Hospital. I have highly recommended it to all my loved ones for the best care. Thank you nurse Wendy for the big hugs after discharge! Keep up the great work and thank you so much again for everything!❤Gina Vallari⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI required surgery for a chronic condition. I considered going back east to former surgeons and familiar hospitals. I am so glad that I decided to remain here in Las Vegas. The care I received at Mountain View Hospital was fabulous. I was cared-for by well-trained, highly-skilled nurses and CNA’s. Every question and concern was addressed. I would not hesitate to return to Mountain View Hospital for care.TWOBLUE777⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad an upper GI done last Thursday. Every single person, from intake -the ladies at the front information desk, do the nurses who transferred me to the Gurnee, and everybody indeed exam room especially the wonderful anesthesiologist all the way through to post office. Everybody did outstanding work! Very caring and totally efficient. That includes the doctor! Very happy with the entire experience! Thank you very much mountain view hospital staff!Tom Solsaa⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedthis hospital is great. any hospital can treat a person but not like this place. extremely knowledgeable and professional staff. that includes everybody from the welcome desk to the discharge room. EVERYBODY treated me kindness and insured that my needs were addressed. if I have to go back into a hospital I hope and pray it is at Mountain View.Peter Raven⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy first time at this hospital. I was in for surgery on my spine at the neck level. My experience here was terrific. The pre-op testing was smooth and had a very short wait time. While I was in my room the nurses were wonderful and took great care of me. The food I was served was very good.Julie Pascua⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy visit was welcoming, i felt at home the staff was very caring, understanding, and they made me forget that i was sick even if i was feeling the pain. Just knowing i had a great staff taking care of me and not forgetting that i was in the room always on time to give my meds and other stuff that i need to get better. I recommend this hospital.Cheryl Kaylor⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I took my husband into emergency on January 9, 2020 with sepsis. The emergency room was a nightmare. No seats. They did get my husband in & start iv’s but he sat in the hallway for 9 hours as they were so busy & over packed. Finally about 9:30 they moved him to a room on the 4 floor 4031. He had great treatment there. All nurses were absolutely wonderful. I can’t stress enough how great the nurses were ! It turned out to be a great experience ❤️Stan Spinrad⭐️⭐️⭐️I arrived on time at 11:30 for a 1:30 TEE. At approx 1:30 a nurse came out to tell me it would be another 3-4 hours or want to reschedule which I chose. By the time I got home the Doctor called to see where I was. The nurse screwed up. I returned to the hospital to have the procedure. Which went fine. Glad it wasn’t serious. Are your nurses overworked? Are instructions unclear or do you need nurses that listen?Claudia Gates⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIt seems at 84 I’ve been spending more time visiting the Emergency Room at the Hospital. The major visit was when I had trouble talking my friends saw this and just said you are going to the hospital. I didn’t realize that my one friend had been an EMT and checked me in and just wheeled me back bypassing everybody waiting and said I think she’s having a stroke. They took me immediately for a scan and when they were wheeling me down the hall I said where are you taking me?I was told to brain surgery. WHAT???? The next memory I have was waking up in ICU, my family was there and I knew I was going to be OK. They got to me in time to save my life. I was doing so well that I went from ICU to rehab just a few nights after surgery. Two weeks after surgery I was released to return home. I could drive and care for myself. Now when I have an emergency I go back to Mountain View. I trust them to know what to do for me.Mike Anderson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The nurses and staff in orthopedic area that i was in are very efficient and are Curtis and well trained the night nurses are awesome everyone is always there if you need them. The only complaint i have at this hospital is there. Food by the time you get what you order it always seems to be ice cold i was there for 3 days and never got a hot mealPappy⭐️⭐️⭐️I would have provided five stars if it wasn’t for the lack of professionalism of a few clerks in the Clinical facility side of the hospital. The medical staff and the clerical staff on the Hospital side of the facility were excellent. Upon checking in there, the Concierge, Admissions Clerk, and Financial clerk were all very professional and very customer relations oriented. The medical staff for my pre-op visit, were also very professional and customer relations oriented. Now, as for the Clinical facility, the entire “Medical” staff were very professional and customer relations oriented. The front desk clerks need to be made aware that their conduct is being observed by the patients waiting to be seen and also those checking in. I am not aware if there is a Customer Service training provided to the clerks, but it would be suggested that the clerks, both “front end and back end”, be made aware that their actions reflect the entire Mountain View staff members, both professional and clerical. I believe that all staff members should be made aware that their actions “do” reflect Mountain View Hospital.Jaclyn Trenary⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have been here 3 times in 7 years. They are the best hospital. We live near Centennial Hills and will drive the extra few miles for better care. It is worth it.Jessica Jackson [Lynch ES]⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedThe hospital was to capacity so I slept in a hallway for 2 days. My nurse button was not working. At one point I had to get up to go and find a nurse because I hadn’t been visited by mine in about 8 hours. Not a good experienceJeffrey Funicello⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedAfter Triage where your told you need medication and are being admitted they leave rotting in the waiting room FOREVER! The only input is some guy yelling to everyone that we were so lucky to be at the finest medical facility possible. (Everyone laughed at his joke). When you asked about when you may receive the meds, the room any care, they get very rude, indignant and combative. Then accuse you being so nervy to complain. Just a bad experience. Uncaring, insensitive and motivated by financial gain not patient welfare. And it keeps getting worse. Why can’t we have 1 decent hospital in a city the size of Las Vegas. Medical service at hospital and teacher salaries are the major reasons why as a community we should be ashamed. Mountain view should be a beacon of community pride not an embarrassing point of needed critical services. I guess it will always be profit over people. Shame on you MountainView.Brittany Paulson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was in and out of the ER with x-rays done in an hour. It was very fast but I never felt rushed. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the Dr told me I needed a MRI done on my shoulder, but couldn’t get one done there because it was not life threaten. So ultimately he was unable to keep me.Maria Rios⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was out of town visiting family members. I had a pain in my right hand and had to go to the emergency. When I arrived at the hospital all the employees that help me where very nice and had a great service. I was treated immediately and they accepted my insurance from out of town. That made things a lot fast and smooth. Thank you to the the staff of Mountains View Hospital Judith Stanford⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent care, as always. The hospital called the day before and pre-registered so when I arrived at my appointment I didn’t have to fill out any paperwork. Mammogram went very well. The technician was caring and gentle, able to put me at ease. The bone scan went just as well. Chris is very, very good.Kathy Cicciarelli⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe nursing staff is the best. They really seem to care about you and your comfort. Food was pretty good, too. I would go back, but its way too far from Sun City Anthem.Ilene Tarsky⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMountain View is a wonderful hospital. I had a colonscopy there as well as a hospital stay prior to that. Both were professionally handles with compassion and warmth. The doctors and nursing staff are excellent. This is the only hospital I will go to in Las Vegas.Georgia Malone⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Registration for my day -surgery was very slow. Sat in the lobby for a least a hour and half, waiting to see the nurse. It was a cold day, and the lobby was very chilling, I was very uncomfortable waiting. ( I would suggest, if possible, register on line). The surgery itself went smoothly, doctors and nurses were great..Bobbi Miracle⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedI would have given 5 stars except for recovery!!!!! I was very impressed with the registration and the entire process up until after my surgery, when ironically the care should have been the best, since I just had surgery! The nurse and CNA that were with me as I was being discharged were rude and actually hurt me. They did not abide by the requests of the doctor and did exactly opposite of what my discharge papers said. The two individuals that assisted me were terrible and definitely tarnished the incredible experience I had up until the end. They actually held the shot, they were told to give me, in front of my face and said once you get dressed and in the wheelchair we will give you this. The shot was for my pain and vomiting! I was physically vomiting and the lady was holding my side (where I had incisions) and shoving my feet into my pants. I have never been literally shoved out of a recovery room and into a car. These ladies were terrible!!!!!!D Lindsley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad an appointment for a cardio stress test. Check-in was at a counter to the right as you enter the front entrance and was using a tablet. There was a nice large seating area. The process was easy and fast and the appointment was on time. All the nurses and technicians were very kind and efficient. The schedule was for about 2 hours, but we finished in about an hour and fifteen minutes, so it went pretty quickly. Parking was tough for my truck. I finally found a space in the far left corner of the lot by Tenaya. They appear to have valet parking, so that might be a better option for many people and you might wish to have some cash on you for tips.Sandra Douglas⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I had cervical neck surgery in August. The nurses and staff were amazing. They time their night visits so that you get some sleep which makes things go so much nicer. Everyone is upbeat and uplifting. The bed was comfy on my very bad back and the room was clean. Room service menu for food was nice and the food was not bad for hospital food.Lee Meekins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDoctors, nurses, and staff were not only impressive in the performance of their assigned duties but were also admirable in their bedside manner. They came correct, and for that I am eternally grateful. I am most pleased!Kathie Robbins⭐️⭐️⭐️Admissions was horrible to have a patient come in to do the same over the phone is terrible . Typically pre-surgical interviews are held over the phone and not inconveniencing the patient to make a extra trip to the hospital. However the outpatient surgical area is wonderful. Staff were great and it was a pleasure to have surgery there.Hannah Arakelian⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI visited the ER last week for a facial x-ray due to an injury received by my dog. I can’t believe how quickly the staff worked to get me in and out. My visit was less than an hour tops, and I received great medical care and friendly faces along the way. Thanks Mountains View!Mildred Walden⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI take pulmonary therapy with Jeremy and I am realizing the benefit of such therapy. The education presentations are priceless and the physical training has helped tremendously. Hopefully this program will be a mainstay at Mountain View so others can reap the benefits I have.Steven Horn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had a great stay at Mt. View considering the circumstance. The check in and check out was a breeze. The staff was extremely professional, polite, courteous, and on point. I would highly recommend Mt. View.Heather Fraley⭐️⭐️I was brought back for intake quickly due to having a heart issue. Testing was also done quickly. The treating PA was very nice. But after testing they made me go back out to the waiting room and wait for 2 hours though there was hardly anyone there. I finally asked what was going on and was told my testing results were back but I had to keep waiting. I saw the dr, was told I was fine, then had to wait another hour to have the iv removed and be discharged. I’ve never had a good experience at this Er.John Johnson⭐️⭐️While the nursing staff was excellent the process of my testing was very poor . I was admitted at 2 am for a potential heart problem though the emergency department. At that time the doctor ordered several tests which I had to wait 20 hours to complete! The most aggravating part was the unwillingness of the test department to communicate and estimate as to when I would be able get the testing. My attending nurse called and got answers like this afternoon sometime. The hospital needs to reevaluate their relationship with the patient. If they were any other business they would be out of business. Only after my wife raised hell did they move. Very poor experience. I will not go back. They need to look in the mirror and as a patient. I come from Wisconsin and patient relationships is much different/ better there.Natalie Bryant⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedI took my mom to this hospitals emergency room on Thursday at 3:30 pm due to labored breathing and confusion. I was told her heart rate was dangerously high and she was in a-fib. It wasn’t until Sunday that I was told she also had a pulmonary embolism as well! They didn’t have any rooms available so she was put in a bed, in the hall of the ER! She was in the hall for 2 days before she got into a room in the ER! She stayed in the ER until Sunday! I picked her up and took her to another hospital!Dan Russo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad outpatient surgery to repair a hernia. Entire staff was caring, efficient and professional. A special kudos to RN Steve in preop who took great care in getting me ready and was nice to exchange common experiences including past medical procedures. Dr. Citro and the hospital staff were all excellent.Sheila Taggart⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff at Mountain was beyond outstanding! Everyone was do respectful and caring. All of my nurses were amazing! Thank you Taylor, Dion, Noemi, Sandel, and Hannah!!!Karri Siv⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was brought into ED by paramedics. The nurses I had was great! They were very kind and empathic towards me. The only thing that turned out bad for me was the wait to be transported to a VHS hospital due to insurance. I was there early only in the morning and didn’t get transferred until about 8pm. But I know it wasn’t their fault so I couldn’t blame them. Otherwise; friendly staffs, it was clean, and quiet. Def recommend!!Kathleen McDowell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery professional and caring staff at the hospital from the reception to discharge. I felt very safe and secure in their care. I thank you from the bottom of my normal beating heart to my normal blood pressure.Patty Teel Russo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was so happy to have had my life brought back to me that night. I received excellent help.flyoverfredusa⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedreally quick check in for pre-op, staff were very polite and courteous. Operation day was just the same, greeted with a smile everywhere and again was quick. Nurses were very good and caring both pre and post op. Unfortunately I’ve been to plenty of hospitals but this place is one of if not the best patient experiences I’ve ever had.Carolyn Boyle⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in for a minor surgery. Every staff person I encountered introduced themselves then clearly stated what they were going to do beforehand. At each step they reinforced the information again. My treatment was excellent overall. I am very impressed with the patient care at Mountain View Hospital.Tina Williams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat L&D staff!! Great rooms, food isn’t that great but overall I love this hospital and I have been to several in the last Vegas area!Jackie Marinoff⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ve only used MT. View Hospital since the day the doors opened. As always I was treated with care and compassion. The nurses and doctors in the ER cared for me immediately as I was having breathing issues. Thanks to everyone at Mt.View I’m doing so much better.valerie morales⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing care from surgery through my stay. The nurses and aides werr very attentive and I never wanted or needed for anything.Vonda Williams-Gustavson⭐️⭐️⭐️Nurses were excellent. It was very noisy. There were 2 people to a room. The other lady in my room fell asleep with her light on and TV on all night. I was told that they could not turn of her TV or light. It was hard for a nurse to reach a Dr. when I ask for something to ease my continued cough, and for something because I felt so bad. I was there for pneumonia, It was over a weekend. I got out as quickly as possible to go home and get some rest.shannon campbell⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedMy mom was in Urgent Care yesterday..(standing room only) she could not breathe..she was stuffed in a ward with tons of other ill people…some vomiting profusely..she asked for ear plugs to avoid hearing this patient vomit! She was finally given an IV to open her airways..then a Dr cane in and said her blood pressure was extremely low 80/55. The nurse was concerned?? She was given paperwork and said she was discharged?? She was then left alone and was not sure where to g
