MVHS – St. Luke’s Campus Reviews

Before you go to MVHS – St. Luke’s Campus, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Utica emergency room think.

Disappointed Patient I am extremely embarrassed by the care I recently received in the ED at St. Lukes. Staff is arrogant, not interested in helping patients or even making them feel better. Went for abdominal pain, wasnt treated for pain, discharged with uncontrolled htn. Seems like mvhs should get in the business of becoming travel agents and offer all expenses paid, one way trips to the morgue!Nick Bello Very very long wait, severely understaffed. Don’t go here. The staff that is here is good, but just way too long. Hopefully the new hospital coming is better. Waited 9 hours total.jenjen jack there is a nurse on your staff Jennie Jacquyas who is very mean, rude, dismissive and nasty. She shouldn’t be allowed to work with patients she is disingenuous. Why be a nurse if you don’t care for people? if i could leave no stars i would and it’s all because of HER.Prolordn This place blows, you get here and wait 3-4 hours while everyone else gets called in ahead of you, the priority system here is terrible, its always freezing in the waiting room and ER, so make sure you bring something warm, my advice is, i wouldnt waste any time coming here if your seeking quick medical attention, id recconmend urgent care or upstate medical university in Syracuse. I’m sure people at st lukes works hard and its sad to say it doesnt cut it, nobody should be in a waiting room for 4+ hours with only 5 people total in here (my exact situation). Especially the children that come in here. St lukes has always had a bad reputation for a hospital, you cant change something that doesnt wanna change.Dan Frick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent to the ER with a case of Diverticulitis. Staff was absolutely WONDERFUL. They were extremely professional and very caring. They remained helpful, friendly, and upbeat even while tending to whiny, cranky patients all day and night. I am very grateful!Candace DeMattio⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️They got us in quickly, very nice staff. I think it depends how busy they are if you wait or not. I am sorry to the people who are leaving reviews that have had to wait long sometimes they can’t help it. We were at ER yesterday and it was not busy so we were seen right away as well. The only complaint I have as of right now is the bed my husband is in doesn’t sit up it’s broke, one of the nurses expressed to me that they keep trying to get rid of the defaulted bed and it finds it’s way back. We will not complain though atleast we got a bed and they began treating him right away. I can honestly say that as long as the staff are nice and the place is not packed it isn’t so bad here.Daboy KEY⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEverything s goes fast now don’t have to wait longer no moreThe Legend This ER visit is garbage. I waited over 3 hrs with a severe injury and the only person I saw was the billing lady to bill my insurance. Place is ridiculous they don’t care about the patients in the waiting room. It’s like they have 6 beds back there because the waiting room was full. People waiting since 3pm and it’s after midnight as I write this. St E’s is way better you go in and they actually allow you a room. No way every room is just filled with all these patients. Seems they only want the money or whatever the case may be because you sign paperwork saying consent to treat and they don’t even call you back up to see a doctor. It’s sad. All this money these people get here and can’t even be seen to help with an medical emergency.Bronwyn Davis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe have had three trips to the St. Luke’s ER over the past three years, one for myself with heart issues, one for my grandson with a seizure, and one for my husband who was having TIA symptoms. In all three cases, we received excellent, very professional care. The staff were pleasant and very efficient, tests were performed and good medical treatment was provided. Yes, the wait to be discharged was a bit lengthy, but that is the reality of ER’s. It’s possible that the people complaining were very rude themselves and that their behavior was the cause of any problems.Tammy Inslee I arrived at the ER… didn’t wait long in the waiting room. I got a room , saw a Dr within like 10 minutes.. he listened for maybe 3 minutes and dint even examine my surgical incisions, just touched my stomach once. I had my blood drawn, a ct scan .. left with no pain meds at all. I came back from my scan and was given a TON of fluids .. My blood pressure became really elevated and it was not even looked at. My nurse didn’t check on me, she just left me with a iv pole going off for over 40 minutes..I understand emergencies happen, but don’t leave a patient feeling alone, forgotten, with not even a are you okay. I will never go to this emergency room again.rockman hills⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Very busy place. Dr. Anara was very thorough. The staff was friendly and supportive. After being there 1.6 hours and we got a room they offered us something to drink.Mark Boise⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNice people. Tough job, everything depends on the emergency load.Matt Ellis Rude call tellers!!!! Hung up on 6 times!!!!!! Did t get an answer till I spoke very firm and said who I was. Feel sorry for the employed people here:(Sandy Brooke It wont talk to me.
