Before you go to Naval Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Camp Lejeune emergency room think.
Chances JamesLiterally one the worst hospitals I’ve been to in my entire life. Came in at 8³⁰ with chest pains, currently still sitting here at 1²⁴. Asked for papers to go to a different ER at 1⁰⁰, and apparently no one can give them to me but the doctor. They would rather have me suffer here in their care, then allow me to go somewhere else and actually be helped. If I could give less than 1 star, I absolutely would. Definitely would not recommend.ZektzeriteOne of the worst experiences dealing with medical at Naval. The doctor that came in was dismissive and made us feel like we were wasting his time. Medical advice given from the doctor verbally, directly contradicted advice on the discharge paperwork given to us upon leaving the ER.Tabytha WilsonIt is so comforting to know someone with a chest pain at a 9 has a 6 hour wait. There are protocols and they surely did not follow them. I would rather have a heart attack in the comfort of my own home than to come back to this ER for my chest pains.Kevin PaceBy far one of the worst hospital experiences ever. Took 3 hours for my kid to get seen and alls they did was give him a few small bandaids on his face. Then an hour to get discharged. This place sucks!Josie MooreA woman working at the front was super rude, I was in a stressful situation dropping off a friend who needed help. I was on the phone with her husband who was on the way trying to get the needed information to check her in and I repeated what the lady had told me to him and she interrupted me very rudely insisting that’s not what she said. I followed up asking what exactly she meant. I’m never rude to anyone in public but this lady was super hateful. I even apologized in front of all the front desk if I had been rude, but no one seemed to care. I realize they have bigger issues but I couldn’t believe she’d speak to me like that. I hope I never have to step foot in there again. Sorry for any ignorance I had going in, I just wish she hadnt been so rude right off the bat. To follow up, this lady was getting off and she apologized to the girl at the computer, like I was super belligerent and she felt sorry she had to deal with me. I could not believe this lady. How rude. I never am intentionally unkind to anyone, this lady showed me no respect and I really couldn’t find any other response but to response with the same rudeness. Super petty to mention it in a review, I just felt like she should be held accountable.Aliana Cherpitel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHusband decided to put his foot into a hole while trail running with the pooch the other day. Possible fracture was a concern and we opted for professional advice over Motrin and water. After intial check in and scanning of the waiting room we knew we’d be a minute… Around 15 ahead of us. Took about an hour for triage. Then another for the X-ray tech to take him back for scans. Taken back for a room after 3 hours. Out of there after 4 hours in all. No complaints here as this is what is expected unless someone has a life threatening condition. A lot of the patients there that day ahead of us and after appeared to be sick. A few injured were spotted. Staff was exceptional. Super friendly and upbeat given it was closing time when we were seen. Everyone was very helpful and respectful. Most people on post don’t have a choice where they are seen… But I’d still recommend the Naval hospital over the economy if you are a tricare member. As for my husband… He’s Lucky he will live w/only swelling and fun colors to show for the playtime and long afternoon hanging out in the hospital.
