Before you go to North Colorado Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Greeley emergency room think.
Karen Van Engelenburg⭐️⭐️Going to the Dr office was easy and their staff were caring and competent. Our problem was after. I was given orders for a blood draw. We went after getting multiple directions to the lab and no one was there. We called the number provided and was told to go to the registration desk. So, we went and waited for someone to show up and was told to sit and wait. After a few minutes we had to go to another person to get registered. Then off to the lab again and no one was there. Had to call the front desk again to get someone to show.up. Why, when the Dr has put lab orders in must we register. I have to come back in 6 weeks to do x-rays. Have to register again. Seems redundant.Nathaniel DeVries⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy mom had a total knee replacement on 1/30 and the staff was all amazing and very professional from the pre-OP team to the recovery and the post OP nurses made her feel the best they could by managing her anxiety, pain and taking the time to listen to her concerns and even my concerns, taking it all in and finding the best possible solution. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a procedure. It makes me feel better for my upcoming surgery next month knowing I’ll have an amazing team working at my side. Thank you from the both of us for all that you guys did.Sierras Blaze⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe ER is the best. Dr. Comfort was excellent. Excellent, caring staff. Of course the wait may be a bit longer then you are used to, but they have many, many other patients also.amber bruntzI had a miscarriage. First I called an ambulance and they told me as I was screaming and writhing in pain that I could get up on my own, mind you, and walk to the gurney outside. Then when I arrived they actually put me in the waiting room for 40 minutes on the Gurney screaming in pain and no one trying to save my baby. So no surprise I had a miscarriage and no one even comfoted or asked if I was ok. Nothing. I have been terrified to go to the hospital after that. So I’d recommend the new one out on the highway. They are very nice and understanding and do what they can to help.Ricky ValdesI went here for cardiac stress and potentially a cardiac emergency. I am a 28 year old Male who was presenting with chest pains who has also gone to college for emergency medicine. I feel like they did not even pay attention to my EKG or my complaint of having chest pains. That instead they looked at me as a drug addict who was on a quest for meds. My chest still hurts a month later. In the event anything happens to me or anyone else I hope you guys get sued. I’ve heard colorado has some of the best heart technicians in the country. I would say you guys saw me and my chest issues as a joke and shame on you all for that. Take peoples illness or injuries seriously. You guys are a joke.Marianne Chadwick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent ER care. We are on vacation and my husband injured his back. From the second we walked in the door, we were warmly greeted by security, registration and went right to see the nurse. We then were fortunate to be under care of Chuck, PA who is professional, knowledgeable and personable. We felt very safe and comfortable with his expertise and the plan of care. Gerri, RN is very caring and efficient and really helped my husband to feel better. It was so unfortunate that we ended up in the hospital during our vacation but so glad that this wonderful staff was working so hard on a Saturday to care for us! Thank you, NCMC!Tessa GoldsberryI thought the doctors were supposed to listen to the patient. So much for that. Let’s just hope when I go back to work it doesn’t cause more damage because your doctor’s refuse to listen. This hospital also did my son’s circumcision wrong and now is having problems with it and banner refuses to fix it!Woke_And_Free HoneyBeeI took screenshots for remainder of post since it was way to long! I am a wife and caregiver to my disabled husband who is disabled and is in an out of the hospital on a regular basis. Today I just walked up to the hospital from my house because we live that close and my husband went into the ER this morning with chest pains ( emergency open heart 4 months ago) and was admitted! All that being said after I got there My husband called me and told me they were taking him to do some tests for the next hour probably so I decide just to sit in the stairwell for a few minutes make a couple phone calls and check my email before I go upstairs this is a normal thing for me to do well not just today but on another separate occasion I was approached by a security officers with muzzled attacked dogs. Not only was I completely baffled that I was being approached this way being a 5 foot six blonde hair blue-eyed girl with a backpack on and a jacket clearly I was not a threat or doing anything suspicious I was sitting down in the stairwell next to the charger charging my phone and calling my dad because my phone doesn’t get good service in the hospital in the room that we are in. He told me that I was not allowed to be there unless I had some in the hospital. He didn’t ask me if I was working th someone in the hospital impatiens nor did he ask me if I was with somebody that was an appointment he didn’t care what I said he didn’t wanna hear what I had to say and everything that he assumed was wrong so not wanting to cause an even bigger fuss I just told him fine I’ll leave and I’ll wait for my husband to call me when he gets back in the room to come back up here and then I’m going to file a report he laughed at me and then followed me clear off the property even onto the sidewalk the PUBLIC SIDEWALK outside the property and I was going to try just to wait outside until my husband got back up in the room but then he threatens and said he was going to call the police I am not the kind of person that likes any kind of altercation I am not confrontational I literally am a caregiver for my disabled husband and a five-year-old son that is my life that is my livelihood I don’t understand how hospital can treat people that way it’s a palling . I should’ve stayed my ground I should’ve put my foot down and told him to kiss it but at that point in time he was literally not going to take anything that I said seriously and I was a little you know I was a little afraid to be honest I was afraid that if I argued with him that he was gonna or if I got loud with him the dog would jump on me here so I just left but this is not acceptable I don’t know how or what I’m supposed to do except talk to the case manager at the hospital this is not the first time that they have done this to me this is the second time the first time I had attended a doctors office right across the street from the hospital and I had walked back over through the hospital to walk home which is what I always do every day for the last three years I would even go on there and buy a soda and food sometimes spent money in there they don’t teach their security officers to handle things appropriately and when people are at the hospital chances are there going through a very difficult time in their life and they don’t teach their security officers to approach situations right way he didn’t even ask either time he didn’t ask he told me I was homeless and wasn’t allowed to be there he didn’t ask if I was with anyone he didn’t ask ANYTHING!Art ArtWorst hospital I have ever been in the worst. If i could give negative stars i would. Horrible experience.Paola MartinezI’ve been sitting in the waiting room for an hour and a half. My dad has an accident at work and they have taken other patients before him even though he has been here. If it wasn’t for his job making come to this one we would be at UChealth where they actually care and do a good job.Briana Van NostrandIf I could leave no stars, I would. Spent five hours in the ER with zero communication from nursing staff; no hourly rounds were performed to check on me, my IV ran dry and remained hooked up. I waited 15 minutes for someone to answer my call light so I could be disconnected from the IV line to use the bathroom. I should mention that I was sent to the ER with suspected appendicitis by my GP, and yet my CT scan wasn’t performed until almost two hours into my ER visit. I waited another two hours to get my results, and then another hour to be discharged. I had to use my call button to ask about being discharged, as no nurse came in to speak with me until an hour after the doctor left. Needless to say, I will never return to Banner Health and will be making the switch to UCHealth!Anon A. Miss⭐️⭐️I am disgusted that the sidewalks around the hospital have the sprinklers angled to soak handicapped people, and others who need to use sidewalks. Spoke to several staff, including the information desk, but pretty sure I was ignored. It speaks volumes about how they feel about their patients, and the public in general.Mr. Joseph⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy girlfriend was having severe pains so we went to the ER and appreciate the parking lot right there out front. We registered, seen a doctor, given an IV with medication in less then an hour. Remarkable. Within four hours she was in surgery. The nurses went out of their way to get me to the surgery waiting room. We our very fortunate to have a hospital like NCMC and with a great staff that was there for us when we needed them.Darkstar MobileWhen my dad passed away last Friday, the ER staff, House Manager, and Chaplain we’re all indifferent to the significant blow that my family sustained. Do not go here unless you enjoy being treated like garbage by the staff that is supposed to care. Also, the ER department is dark, and not comforting at all. I rate this place a 0 out of 10, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Also, if an ambulance crew ever attempts to take you here, demand to be taken to UC Health Greeley, or MCR in Loveland. Your chances of getting the proper care and respect are 100% higher.Jolene VigilI don’t have the energy to write out all the things I want to say. Horrible staff. Horrible service. Didn’t receive proper care in the ER!!!! Will NEVER return to this hospital.Darlene DeichertMy daughter was in a motorcycle accident and has horrible road rash. From what I can tell, the doc didn’t give her any advise on pain management. When I called the emergency room hours later because she was in so much pain, the nurse told me what she could take, but then laughed a couple of times and said, she’s going to be really sore for the next couple of days. LAUGHED. Absolutely abhorrant for me as a parent to hear someone laughing about my daughter’s pain.Joan Lips⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFROM MY EXPERIENCES WITH MANY HOSPITALS, I RATE NCMC AS THE BEST OF THE BEST.; FROM SURGERY TO WOUND CARE TO EMERGENCY CARE. OF COURSE EMERGENCY ROOM CARE IS SOMEWHAT TEDIOUS, AS STAFF ARE TAKEN BY SURPRISE WHEN YOU ARRIVE, AND IT DOES TAKE TIME TO BE EVALUATED. ( I WILL SAY THAT THE BEDS IN EMERGENCY ARE PURE TORTURE FOR ANYONE WHO HAS TO BE THERE FOR HOURS). I HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THE STAFF TO BE CARING , COURTEOUS., AND EFFICIENT. PERHAPS THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE SUCH HORRENDOUS RATINGS SHOULD TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR OWN ATTITUDES, AND ASK IF THEY HAVE BEEN RUDE AND DEMANDING !!!!Nay⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had to have a couple different procedures done one morning. Came in and they couldn’t find me in their system. After a few minutes of waiting, they finally found me. While sitting with the lady at registration, the lady at check in came back and thanked me for being so patient and nice. I appreciated her doing that. They took me back to the waiting room and didn’t even take long anyway. The nurses were so very nice. My drs that did my procedure la were so very nice and made me feel comfortable.adrian carrionIf you want to die this is the place. Slow lazy incompetent staff. The facility as a whole is trash.beth devine⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have had possibly the BEST care from every single person in this hospital. They have turned a stressful and painful surgery stay into a comfortable experience!Maryann Mechem⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have had so many Surgeries at not so good places! These people that work here are the kindest humans I’ve ever seen ! Thank you so much for being amazing !I know I can trust for sure! Again thank you for all you do.v very good people and work here! thank you Greeley for helping me get through this!Tara Thomas⭐️⭐️Will never use you guys again. leave 2 stars just because you still took care of my mom.Mikaela SmithThey said they tried to contact us whdn my mom was there but when i called they couldn’t tell me if she was there. Then weld xoynt jail said she was in ferlow but they couldn’t tell me where. The doc took it upon my self to disconect life support. Idk how they couldn’t contact us they had my uncles address and his work my work and home adress ,my cell number,my sisters cell snd her work address, my brother who was in prisonNikkita Eklund⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEverybody was awesome the factor that they don’t do certain things here was kind of frustrating but other than that the nursing staff and the doctor was awesome they were very cooperative and I really appreciate the patienceSarah Sneed⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’m very pleased with the service I received during my stay for an outpatient procedure. Doctors Gengler and Dong were very caring and compassionate toward their patients. They were thorough with explaining, in great detail, any questions or concerns I had. The nurses and other staff were just as compassionate and caring. I had a great experience here. Thank you ALL. I’m sorry I can’t recall everyone’s names. Robby/ie is a FANTASTIC nurse with a great sense of humor and a heart for helping his patients. Again, everyone I met was great. I can’t thank you all enough for easing my anxiety. (Nickie, Matt, et al…) THANK YOU.Adventures of Babee and fun videos CancholaWent to ER per my regular doctor’s advice. Was treated so rudely by the medical staff upon checki . The nicest person was the security guard who got me a wheelchair, checked on me, HE put my ID bracelet on! Have a possible lower lumbar disc tear or slip/bulging disc. Numbness down right leg and excruciating pain. Had is wait a ridiculous amount of time then was taken to a room in an area that wasn’t even staffed. Forgotten abou . Janitor brought me a blanke . Will NEVER go back to this ED at this hospital. it only got worse from there.Evelyn LiebowitzHad to take my child here recently, unfortunately the staff was very unprofessional and seemed like that did not care about their patients at all. Because of the reason of our ER visit I felt it required some kind of attention since were told by another physician to go to the ER and sat there in the room for 1 1/2 hours without a soul to come in and check on my child. After that I requested to leave and to sign proper paperwork for discharge to take my child elsewhere as we were recommend by our specialist who is in Denver and knew of the situation, a doctor magically became available. He seemed rushed which is understandable of an ER but the medication that was provided to my child was incorrect according to our specialist. To also add insult to injury the RN I was dealing to sign discharge papers proceeded to tell me how many patients she had left before she got to us and also told me the procedure that was being done on the other patients and their gender. Which is obviously a violation of HIPPA. As someone who has worked in a hospital on the floor I was extremely disappointing in the service and care that was provided here and will NEVER return to this hospital. I should have gone to UChealth as usual but lesson learned.Margo Agens⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe always get the best professional care and yet they are all so compassionate caregivers. Thank you .I believe in NCMC… I will always be grateful for the care you have given to my whole family. You are all angels…Andrew SanchezI am here in the emergency medical room now and its unbelievable how unprofessional all these people are. Smirking at me and giving me glares for simply asking questions. I dont understand why any of these workers are even working in a hospital they all deserve a job in walmart customer serviceRay SmithAbsolutley unprofessional to not release some.staff prior and during the storm. Piss poor management and planning.plan ahead instead of endangering people’s lives. Now there are no snow plows even able to keep roads clear. Is the hospital going to let them stay there?I highly doubt it. Lick them out he door in the worst storm in 100 years You people are.are not ethical nor care for your employees….sad part is your employees are treated terribly and there awesome.Dam Yank⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I am surprised and extremely impressed by all of the changes and upgrades in staff and procedure that this hospital has done recently! I had a terrible experience here at the ER about 6 months ago and ended up being taken here by ambulance yesterday. The staff was thorough and very friendly! Complete opposite of last time. They ended up admitting me and the Cardiology, Radiology, and nursing (staff) department was ON IT! Keep up the great work whomever is making these changes! A scary experience, but one I felt secure and safe in.Debbie BartZero stars. If they can’t fix a billing error, then they have a ‘no confidence’ vote for fixing my body. This hospital scares the heck out of me. My husband has been through hell and back after surgeries there.Melva RuyleThis hospital is ridiculous!! NO ONE knows what they are doing or what to do. At 9:00am a test was ordered and the Dr said it SHOULD be done today!!! Really are you sure you can get one test done in 12 hours?? Sure hope that doesn’t rush you . DO NOT come here if you are sick. Go to Loveland or anywhere elae.Dannielle RadinI overheard some of the front desk staff joking loudly about patients’ personal situations and I told them that it was inappropriate. They responded by telling me that they weren’t talking to me so their conversation was not my concern. They never apologized for being unprofessional. They simply acknowledged that I had heard them correctly. I spoke with the charge nurse about this interaction and despite appearing somewhat concerned she felt that I was angry for no good reason. Additionally, the employees here treat people in inhumane ways. During one visit I was told by a nurse that if I didn’t stop complaining I would be restrained and knocked out. They also held me over night and refused to give me food aside from cups of jello. Lastly, a social worker I spoke with about scheduling an appointment with a primary care physician insinuated that because I gave her the name of the Nurse Practitioner who prescribes my daily medications that I must not be trying to cheat the system and get controlled medications from just any doctor I encounter. Man, Greeley and North Colorado Medical Center have got some problems. If you have a choice in which hospital you receive care choose somewhere else where you will be treated with dignity.Karla VelazquezHave been waiting here for more than an hour, their front desk staff is very unfriendly and incompetent! Truly need to work on their bedside manner… say they don’t have enough rooms, and the rooms that are available are dirty… hire more staff to clean them! People can’t wait if it’s an emergency!!!MichelleHad so many bad times. I was employee for 8 years. When I was off for back surgery for a month and returned to work found out boss and employees were looking into my records to see what was going on. I lodged complaint with pt. advocate and in the end was told I should’ve lodged complaint with boss. Really? I was chastised for it. Hey I was a pt. not employee. I heard other employees talking while getting into other pts. records also. Another time took son in er for an earing that fell into ear at night with stem against eardrum. The er dr. couldn’t figure out how to remove it after messing with it for 30 min. at least and told us to call ENT dr. the next day. He was in pain lady. Well we drove straight to MCR and they removed it in like seconds. Wow! Another time my hip replacement dislocated and I had to wait 2 days to get O.R. to put it back in. One of the nurses on ortho floor was so sweet she didn’t understand why they were waiting so long either and she helped me as much as she could. It was the stupid drs. fault I guess Dr Grossnickle the ortho on call. We had had disagreements before.Taelynn CayaI was restrained for two days and not given food because i had a panic attack when I was taken to the hospital against my will for literally no reason and was assaulted by nurses, police, and security throughout my stay. Forced to take addictive medications that I repeatedly refused. Never saw a doctor, counselor, social worker or therapist even though I requested for one multiple times. Then was discharged to another facility near denver without being told where I was going and left with no way to get back to Greeley after being discharged there due to the fact that they broke my glasses, took my phone, and refused to let me contact anyone during my stay, saying my phone privileges were gone. Then was charged for services I never even received at the hospital, including urinalysis and blood work even though I never gave urine (I was restrained and not allowed to use the restroom) and never had any blood drawn. Tried to make a complaint after my stay about being held illegally and assaulted then kidnapped to denver and left there to fend for myself and no one ever contacted me back. In a previous stay, I had an infection (I get chronic kidney infections so I KNOW when I have one) and they didnt believe that I was sick. Had to go to the ER three times until someone looked at my white blood cell count and noticed it was ridiculously high and said I should never have been discharged the first two times considering my health history and the blood cell count. Then was held in the hospital with no updates on my health or when i was being discharged, after five days of hearing nothing from no one i discharged myself against medical advice because i can treat my kidney infections better than they were, they gave me no medication and couldn’t even figure out it was my kidneysJaqueline TorresI took my 1 yr old because hes had a 104 fever since his vaccinations, I get there they check his vitals, and the Male nurse tells me hes gonna check his temperature, these where his words ” I’m gonna put the thermometer up his butt” when he did it he had the nerve to say ” awe I didn’t even take him out for dinner” and started laughing. I personally find that very inappropriate and offensive. I hated our visit there.Curtis SIf I could give 0 stars I would. The billing here is a complete joke. I take my daughter to a pediatrician for a wellness visit. The MD states there is an ear infection prescribes meds and sends me on way then come to find out she billed an extra $167 because she saw some redness in her ear. This company just defrauds people.Bobbie ArmstrongThis place is a nightmare. The nurses are nice, which is great, but everyone is horrible with communicating anything whatsoever. Why these tests, why these meds? Who knows! And speaking of tests and meds, why aren’t you communicating what the results of these tests are? I’d be better off going to the humane society for my grandfather’s medical care, at least I might get a straight answer there. we asked to speak to a nurse as well as a case manager or hospital social worker multiple times and they never showed up. we were told my grandfather would be discharged the day before yesterday but here we are, still trying to figure out when is he going to be discharged? why hasn’t he been discharged yet? If he needs to stay that’s fine, but why? What is the plan? my grandfather has a sign right above his bed that says that he needs to have his pills crushed and put into a soft food like applesauce (a sign that the staff put there). Why does the nurse come in and try to feed him huge pills? I mean really? Can we read? I don’t even know what else to say. Terrible experience. And God only knows how much this bill is going to be. The best part of this hospital? The valet parking service down front ***Update: the medical center responded to me on here and asked for me to email them. I did, I provided them my contact informing so they could review my grandfathers situation and contact me to “discuss my concerns”. It’s been 4 days since I gave them my contact information, including my phone number, and II hav not heard a word from anyone.Darrah C⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had surgery here to have my gallbladder removed. The staff were all WONDERFUL and the surgery went well! They went out of their way to accommodate my family and I. They’re very kind people. I would definitely come back for another surgery or whatever else is needed at this hospital. Thanks so much!!!Dart Horne⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have read a lot of the negative reviews and had none of those experiences. On Christmas Eve, I had gone to Banner Urgent Care who immediately sent me to the ER, even calling ahead. I checked in with the receptionist and they took me back immediately. I had a infection that was blocking my airway. I reported to the nurse or CNA that I thought I was going to throw up. I didn’t say so, but I was so afraid I was going to throw up and aspirate because I was unable to swallow,. Immediately they were back and gave me a shot to stop the nausea. An ears, nose and throat doctor was called and came right away to determine if surgery was needed. I spent 10 days in the hospital and was pretty miserable most of the time. The nurses were AWESOME. So sweet and attentive and contacted the doctor immediately with any situation that arose. I only had to turn my call light on maybe three times the entire time I was there because someone was always coming by to ask if I needed anything. When the nurses would come with medication, they also asked if I needed anything and no matter what the request was, they would take care of it themselves. One nurse helped me wash up and changed my bed in the middle of the night after my surgery. I really expected her to call a CNA to help, but she took care of it herself. The doctors were also serious about my care. There were three specialists and one of the doctors asked for a second opinion when he wasn’t satisfied with the response of one of the other specialists. I was impressed that he wasn’t afraid to step on anyone’s toes. I should have written down the names of the nurses that were more than exceptional, but I am planning a trip back up to that unit to give them a big thank you. I’m not sure they will recognize me with clothes on and my hair combed!Lauren Travis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy father had a heart attack and came here from the emergency room and the staff has been nothing short of AMAZING. He was in the ICU then moved to cardiac care 2 days after his triple bypass and every nurse CNA and doctor has been beyond wonderful and accommodating and so great with helping him get back to normal!Michael SalazarWas born from this hospital I’m 29 now and even I know better to even come back to this place especially the ER it’s very slow even when it’s not busy. The staff act like it’s high school again attitudes gossip favoritism’s I’ve never complained but for this place I had too because It’s a huge disappointment from what NCMC use to be full of nice people and good experiences don’t expect that now wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!Rachel Ortega⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe had to bring my son in to the ER for chest pain on 2/9/18. The ER staff was helpful and thorough. They gave my son wonderful care. When we were admitted to the pediatric room, we had the most amazing staff. The nurses were attentive, friendly and caring. They were accommodating and attentive. I can not say enough great things about the care my son received on the pediatric ward. The night nurses went above and beyond, and the nurses during the day were great too. They made a traumatic situation for out of town people, bearable. Thank you pediatric staff, and NCMC for taking care of us like family.Jacob Ritchie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Such a good staff and nurses were great. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is after my lythotripsy I had to return because the stint caused a lot of pain and blood. that doctor was a real jerk, even the nurses didn’t like how I was treated. Any other time they have been great.Cory WilliamsEmergency staff is a joke! Disrespectful and Don’t care about their patients.Josh Taddicken⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe a
