Before you go to North Florida Regional Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Gainesville emergency room think.
Jessica Halbrook⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have had nothing but the best experience when having to visit North Florida Regional Medical Center Freestanding Emergency Room at 43rd and 53rd. My Mom and myself travel across town just to come to this emergency room because of the excellent care that is given. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to see a doctor after check-in. I recently had to get some questions answered and Will (the nurse lead) went above and beyond to help answer my questions. Thank You Will!!!Malissa Clayton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff here is friendly and very caring .. excellent service and my experience being here in their care is the best. That I have had in quite some time now . All of my needs were taking care of. The staff made sure I got the proper treatment . ThanksFarzad Fani Pakdel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe were lucky that Lauren was our nurse. She was very skilled and kind. My wife has fear of needles and Lauren did so well that she did not feel anything. The Dr with White mustache was so nice. So caring and even if they did not find the source of pain but I could see he considered all possible things within his ability and finally sent her to North Florida OBGS TilliHorrible experience the doctor who actually runs this location caused me so much pain when checking me and had no bedside manner. He prescribed me medication that weren’t even for what I needed. A month later and still not better when I went to my primary care doctor I was told the reason I wasn’t getting better was because of the meds and plan of care was completely wrong. This has been my second time coming here since its close to my home but once again just horrible service and management staff/doctors needs to be retrained on bedside manner, etc.Ezekiel McLeskey⭐️⭐️⭐️I hate to give the place 3 stars for one person, but the experience was that bad. First, let me say that the doctor, the intake person, and even the paperwork guy were all great. The doctor was playful, which my son enjoyed. But then we needed a test for strep. The nurse that did the test was extremely pushy toward my son, and even told him to “man up”. I felt like I had to jump in as a barrier to help him process and get through his fears. She had zero bedside manner. She seemed frustrated and impatient from the get go with no concern for his feelings. I’d certainly go back if she stops working there, but I’ll never take that chance.Ramo S. Khan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEvery time we have been we have been in and out in under an hour, closer to 20-30 minutes. Average wait time for us has literally been zero minutes. They will weigh you first and take you directly to a room to be seen. By far the best immdediate care or urgent care facility in Gainesville bar none.Deborah Stowe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone there was so nice. Made me feel so comfortable . Took me in right away. My anxiety level was sky high.. but they were so kind.. explained everything to me. If I could give more stars I would. Thank you!!Garrick SearsWorst ever hospital.. I went there and they did xrays on my foot and they found ankle broken and they put me in splint.. a day or two later I go back complaining of so much pain and told them… they just ignore my request and they just sent me home. I get back to Miami where I’m from and they do xrays and they find something serious wrong and they admitted me to hospital and did surgery and fixed my ankle.. this hospital is a joke and do not care about the paitients.. please be careful coming here.Margaret Tillis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI called around trying to decide where I could go for help, and someone I spoke with at NFRMC (who was extremely nice and helpful) suggested visiting one their freestanding ERs. I went across town, walked right in and was in a room within 10 minutes. Everyone was very kind and knowledgeable here. I was amazed at the efficiency of the entire process. I had every diagnostic test I needed, was diagnosed, treated, and discharged in about 4 hours (sooo much quicker than the 8 hour wait I was quoted just to be seen at other places). This honestly may have been one of the best and quickest ER visits I have ever had.Laura Shedlock⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe were seen immediately and the staff was attentive and friendly.Abigail Poetress⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI brought my husband out to be seen for the first time at this ER and we were greeted by the most amazing registered nurse Stephanie. Though the occasion was not a good one Nurse Stephanie made it really great with her humor and great bed side manner. I definitely recommend this ER and this nurse. Also nurse Sue and Paramedic Leavy was amazing as well.Chris FisherHorrible. Be very careful! Wife went in with a UTI. Was prescribed antibiotics that didn’t clear the infection, so she needed to follow up with “real” doctors at UF. Then the bills started rolling in. Tons of tests (that she never received results for) and questionable, multiple billings. Now the cost stands at $6,000 and counting for a 30 min visit and 5 minutes of face time with a physician. Just entering the door cost $3,000. This place represents the worst of health care in the USA.Chigator⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBeing a long time supporter of avoiding hospitals and doctors in general, imagine the type of physical ailment that was taking place to direct my vehicle into this parking lot. Walking in, there was an empty waiting room and a person at the desk. After being greeted, I asked a very important question, “Is this a real emergency room, and is billed as such.” The kindly desk person answered in the affirmative. This is an emergency room, like those attached to a hospital. I was checked in, lead to a private room, then a barrage of personnel stopped in to take care of all aspects of the visit. This included a blood taking nurse, a general information and consultation nurse, a kindly insurance lady, a nurse for radioactive treatments (x-rays and MRI), and a doctor! This facility is nice, shiny, new, clean, and free of super bugs. I was cold, they provided a pre-warmed blanket. Like a being at a resort. Blood was drawn from one source, not multiple, which has been my experience with other hospital visits (The VA LOVES to take blood). Three hours later the problems were alleviated, prescriptions called in, and I was on my way home. The staff was informative, kind, and professional. Hoping to never have to stop in again, but I’m very happy to know there is a wonderful spot close to home that will help if needed. Cheers to the new emergency room!Christina Ludovici-Benck⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOutstanding staff! We got right in and got my little guy all fixed up and on our way in less than an hour. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this ED.Eric Hollander⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFriendly and Knowledgeable Doctors and Staff. Also it is clean and do not wait long for a bed.Jennifer Wilkison⭐️⭐️⭐️Kind of dirty for an emergency room but staff is nice and attentive.MargaretThey insist on you entering your social security number. When i gently stated, “i do not give that out , i am in your system, i also have my drivers license and insurance card he He said give me you driver’s license and i can pull it up.” i asked, “you can see my full social security number he said yes! ” This is messed up and wrong. Dissapointed NFR! Shands does not ask for it. Their system does not display entire number.Dr. Fawzy Ebrahim⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest service. Professional staff and fast service. Way better than Shands ERs.Raine Myrvold⭐️⭐️⭐️Went in for suspected appendicitis. Staff friendly, but had to wait 5 hours here before they transferred me to the actual hospital.Kristen PenneyWould not go back.
