NorthBay VacaValley Hospital Reviews

Before you go to NorthBay VacaValley Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Vacaville emergency room think.

Jeff Mech⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have been to the Emergency Department (ED) several times due to a chronic pain condition. The last time I went was Friday afternoon (01/24/2020, around 3:00pm). I was not in very good shape and while I was waiting to get checked in, the clerk (or lack of a better name) noticed I was having problems standing and being in pain. She called a nurse, who brought out a portable computer and got me checked in. The triage nurse made sure I was triaged and taken care of immediately. I apologize, but I didn’t get the names of all the folks that helped me. Every time I have gone to the ED I have always had the greatest of care and have never been left wanting anything. The doctors and nurses are always caring and professional and make sure I am taken care of posthaste. In fact, a couple of months ago, I was brought in by ambulance. I was diagnosed and treated and back out the door in just over three hours. Granted it was about 2:00am when I arrived, but that is amazing. All labs, CT scan etc. were completed, read and treatment administered without delay. Granted, no one likes to go to the ED, but the care I have received has always been wonderful. Thank you to all that work at VacaValley ED. You are all wonderful, caring and professional. I sincerely appreciate what you do.David Garcia Cruz AVOID THIS PLACE!!! THEY CHARGE AND ARM AND A LEG FOR SHOTTY TREATMENT! Took my son because he had a High Fever, the “Doctor” barely even looked at him. They did X-Rays and gave him Tylenol and Motrin. And sent us homes. The fever never went away, so took him to Kaiser after the second day and they treated my son for an infection. DO NOT COME HERE!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO KAISER! If I were to be able to give Negative Stars, I would!!!M.N. Angel It would help to have the hospital staff know that ALL workers’ comp claims need to have a written work status report for their employers. It would also help to know they are LEGALLY allowed to fax/email the note stating, “employee name…may/may not return to full work status”. Sending employees back because they don’t know how to do their job is a waste of time, effort and not to mention would be unnecessary if they did their job correctly in the first place! But it’s North Bay…shouldn’t expect any different.Don Tidwell I took my girlfriend to get checked for severe stomach pains and they took blood samples and did a cat scan. The doctor returned and said the cat scan was good and blood worn was great. She never returned to explain anything else about maybe why or anything. And before we left a guy had told us to read the papers and didn’t explain them to us. We we’re left in the dark about everything and i feel like they chose to ignore us because my girlfriend is Mexican. This feels like racism. I will never return unless im literally dying. Very poor on communicating with patients.Abdy Gabriel Beltran Hernandez⭐️⭐️⭐️Taken care of it within a short time hopefully that will be just that .Gary Ash⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Each time we have ever needed the services of the ER, we were treated quickly and with respect. The nursing staff has always been caring and attentive. My late wife was gently cared for last August. She was transferred to another hospital where she eventually succumbed to the devil we call cancer. Thank you for the love! One critical item… the physicians are not considered Preferred Providers even though the hospital is… PLEASE get associated with Blue Cross / Blue Shield.Joe Adams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedTook our foster (hopefully adoptive) daughter to this site this afternoon to get her checked out after she took a nasty fall (she’s just learning to walk). The staff was on the ball from beginning to end. We were not waiting more than ten minutes at a stretch and the entire process was finished in under an hour. Nice to be looked after by consummate professionals. Very impressed.John Fritch⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was there on a Friday afternoon and the E.R. was packed. It took nearly 3 hours before I was seen obviously this was no fault of the hospital. The professional people I encountered were absolutely terrific as was the rest of the staff.Michael Nau⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedUNBELIEVABLE!! My wife and I spent 6 days in the hospital due to a SUPER PAINFUL Kidney stone that wouldn’t pass. During this time, my mom had a scheduled knee replacement at the same hospital and had to stay for 3 nights. I slept in my wife’s room every night and conveniently my mom was a few doors down so I could check on her recovery frequently. I have been to several hospitals and through several procedures and surgerys with my mom. The level of care that was provided to both my mom AND my wife were unheard of for a hospital. Due to the overnight stays and two different types of patient procedures, we encountered several RN’s, CNA’s and Physical Therpasists there, not to mention the great doctors that performed the procedures. Every one of them were the best we’ve ever encountered. They were all so happy, so caring, and so compassionate that they felt like family. You walk through the halls in the early morning and everyone you pass by says Good Morning. You walk through the halls at night an everyone says Good Night. These wonderful people did everything in their power to make sure they both were so comfortable as painless as possible. They have both recovered and been released this morning and believe it or not, I’m kind of sad that we don’t get to see all our family(hospital employees) anymore. It’s that kind of care!!! Whoever is leading this place has to be to extremely proud! Thank you to all the great staff! We will never forget all you have done for our family!!Amber Gonzales Went into the ER because my toddler and I were not able to be seen by our doctors that day. At first we walked in there was a couple at the counter and that was all. We waited for 10 minutes to be greeted and helped by someone else. They got my daughter and my vitals and sent us back to the waiting room, came back 10 min later and took my daughter for chest X-ray (which was great the lady was so helpful and informative) went back to waiting room, then got a room after another 10min. Sat in our room for about an hour and a half before someone came in to let us know they were waiting on our labs and X-rays and that she would get us medicine. A nice man gave us our meds (which my toddler wouldn’t take from the cup) we waited and waited for another 2hours and still nothing or no Dr to inform us of anything. Mind you my toddler is past nap time, hungry and overwhelmed with the entire hospital stay. We ended up walking out and leaving before discharge. I call the next day to get information and the lady was so rude and not helpful. I called back to talk to someone else whom was very helpful. I know ER takes hours but it’s frustrating and overwhelming to me when i have a toddler and am waiting and no Dr in site to give any information or acknowledge me. I will not be back to this hospital.Mandy Kepner⭐️⭐️I went into VacaValley with a chief complaint of pain in my chest a few seconds after swallowing and that it felt like something was stuck. The provider, who was contracted in, was wearing jeans, a T-shirt with suspenders and work boots. While getting my history someone else came in and gave him a fist bump and then left… which I thought was pretty strange? Anyways, he ordered a soft tissue X-ray of the neck, even though I insisted the issue was not my throat but my chest. When I spoke with the X-ray tech and told her what was going on she even noted “oh that’s more of your esophagus… but we are doing an image of your throat..” X-ray came back normal, which I knew it would, & he quickly diagnosed me with acid reflux and sent me home with a prescription for Prilosec. But I insisted it wasn’t acid reflux and they just kept telling me it was. Although the nurse and X-ray technician were very nice, I felt like they could have advocated for me better. I really just don’t feel like my concerns were listened to.. and after telling a different hospital the same story, I was correctly diagnosed with steak syndrome (which is where a small piece of food gets stuck in your esophagus) … I was just very displeased with the bedside manner from the doctor and the hospital staff bit listening to my concerns. Waste of time and money.shethy smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy family had the flu. 3 of us got better. My husband did not. An er visit turned from flu to flu complications for my husband. It turned into double pneumonia. My husband was placed on life support. They saved his life. No joke, his actual life. Great staff. They remember your face and they work hard around the clock. A++ hospitalHannah Tran⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThank you all doctor and nurse special thank you nurse her name steperni HoIsabell Love i would rate this zero stars when i was having both my daughter here for birth and delivery they were the worst staff ever. rude and not caring at i had to the worst experince ever at this hospital, especially when giving birth should be a beautiful thing thumb downs. this birthing center is worst. only one who actually care for me was.the cna who wouldnhelo clean me up.Keri Lozier⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery short wait time in ER and thorough care once roomed. The staff was very kind and caring and made what could’ve been a very miserable experience as comfortable as possible.Kelly Bezz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVacaValley Hospital is part of the Northbay Medical Center including Northbay Hospital in Fairfield, CA. I have been coming here for 30+ years. I always get prompt, courteous, compassionate care from all involved in treatment of medical and surgical conditions. I just had another surgery at the Same Day Surgery Center in VVH (there is another Same Day Surgery building on the same campus which is excellent as well) and was professionally cared for by Jennifer, a RN I have had the pleasure of working with numerous times. I had efficient, wonderful care from Same Day, PreOp, in the OR suite, and in the Recovery Room. Dr. Dominguez was my anesthesiologist for this case and again he gave me great care. I fully trust my care at VVH and NBMC. Dr. James Long is my oncologist and I could not ask for a more loving, caring, extremely competent physician. Dr. Robert Peterson did my surgery last week and he again did a phenomenal job in all areas of patient care. Dr. Andrew Brooks did a THA (total hip) last year and the team of him, Dr. Chow, and Dr. Bunuan gave me first class treatment. I was in the medical profession and know firsthand what makes a good physician and NBMC (and VacaValley Hospital) has many excellent physicians including those I mentioned here. The ER, should you require emergent care, offers “On-line check-in” where you can see the wait time and wait as comfortably as possible at home. Of course they will treat you right away if you walk in with a life-threatening Emergency. But for potential fractures and other non-lethal injuries the “On-line check-in” option is very nice. I hope no one requires the services offered here but should you need it I recommend it highly.360 Shotz.com⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat place to work! Place is clean and staff is very caringkay minnow It’s frustrating when all I wanted was an appointment. I have a referral for my daughter and called this number only to be told they didn’t know the department I was asking for but will transfer me to their Fairfield clinic because maybe they would have it there. The women who picked up at Fairfield was so rude. I’m sure she was just having a bad day but all I wanted was to make an appointment for my child. Again she told me they didn’t have what I was looking for and would transfer me to Vacaville, to which I replied that that’s who transferred me here. She let out a loud sigh and told me they didn’t know what they were doing. So she gave me the seven digit number. I’m not from the local area so I asked to be sure it was a 707 number. Again she sighed loudly and said yes as she hung up. At this point, I’d just given up. I called my insurance company back and asked for a different location. I would rather drive further out for better service and care. If this is how they are over the phone, why would I trust them with my child. We’ll be driving down to the Children’s hospital in Walnut Creek instead.sarah gibson⭐️⭐️Honestly, hit or miss with these people. They sure don’t know crap about spider bites, and it’s frustrating having to explain why it’s not hot, but cold…. kidney stones though, they are definitely on it. I’d rather be here than kaiser but that’s not saying much.Danielle Rubio⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLast night i had sprained my ankle. I decided to use their in quicker sign in online. Made my ER appointment at 7pm to be seen at 9pm. Waited at home until then I showed up at about 8:55pm checked in up front. Within 5 minutes of being there i was taken to x-ray then back to the lobby. 10 mins later taken into triage while in there the doctor comes in with my x-ray results had no fractures only a sprain so they wrapped my foot gave me crutches. They wheeled me into the hallway within 10 mins had my discharge paperwork ready to leave. The whole thing took 35 mins. People were looking at me like how did I get in and out so quickly who were waiting when i had first arrived. Their in quicker sign in is amazing it allows you to wait at home rather than in the ER. I will continue to recommend this service. Thank you Vaca Valley for taking care of me in a timely and caring professional manner.Tiff C⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey’ve always taken great care of my family in times of medical emergencies! jessika cervantes⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGood careAnwar Puebla⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedPeople that do care Victor Mejia⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedhelpfulNatalie Pauline⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️it was slow
