Northside Hospital Atlanta Reviews

Before you go to Northside Hospital Atlanta, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Atlanta emergency room think.

Cheyenne Cooper Doctor and nurse had worse bedside manner I’ve ever encountered. Rude and cold personality. They help get my pain from Endometriosis under control but I left crying from the way they treated me.Mara Todd⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe doctor and nurse who took care of us were professional and caring, and got us out of the ER in a timely manner despite tests being runKireeti V⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy cousin had a knee cap dislocated and she was treated with great care and continued follow up starting from 3am when we entered and till it was fixed. Christina our nurse kept us updated and made us feel like family with great support. Our doctor Dr. Martrek and his physician Assistant were so friendly did their magic in few minutes. Carlos Trias⭐️⭐️Long time in the waiting room. No explanation whatsoever about the services I was asked to pay for. Registration came when i was feeling the worst, bothered me with a lot of paperwork and didnt provide clear explanation of what 3i was being asked to pay. Registration lady was not very nice nor useful.Paul Covington Horrible experience with contracted doctors/medical staff (a whole separate story) and have spent way too much time dealing with incompetent administrative staff. Sent us an incorrect bill and I sent an e-mail and called the number on the statement. Both the person handling the e-mails and the individual I spoke on the phone told me I had a zero balance as of a date well before the bill. They told me the bill must be from another department and to call the “number on the bill.” I explained that was the number I had called and they were the number on the bill. I explained it was showing a balance. I asked if this was an erroneous statement from the hospital or from another department. She refused to answer that question directly. I then took the time to scan and e-mail the bill to the e-mail address. I sent it in two separate e-mails and clarified multiple times I just wanted to confirm where the statement I was looking at came from. To me, the bill looked like from Northside Hospital but because of the earlier statements that that couldn’t be possibe, I just wanted confirmation. I explained multiple times I needed to know if there was someone else I should reach out to to clarify the bill. 10+ e-mails later and I still haven’t received that confirmation. Frustrated out of my mind.Bianca Rimmer If you’re ready to die in the waiting room, come to this place. Unbelievable!!! This outrageous.Evelyn Today is the third time I had the displeasure of dealing with Northside hospital Atlanta. The first time was about a month ago for an outpatient surgery. I have a port that is used for dispensing medication, IV lines and blood draws. After my surgery, the nurses forgot the IV line in my port and I had to return to the emergency dept. to have it removed. When I returned, a procedure that took less than 10 minutes ended up costing me more than 30 minutes, forcing me to pay $6 for parking. The final straw was today, when I went in with swelling and excruciating pain in my foot. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and if it wasn’t for the EMT that spoke up on my behalf to tell them I was in terrible pain, the staff was going to have me sitting in the waiting room for, I don’t know, how long and yet there were several rooms available!! I do not remember most of my time there because between the pain and the medication I was out of it, but I was finally awakened to be told that I was being discharged. At this point, my foot was still throbbing in pain, I could not bear any weight on it. I tried to explain to them that I did not think I was ready to be discharged, but they did not care. The most insensitive of them all was a nurse called sheila, who would not let me speak to the doctor and was only all too intent in taking me to the waiting room, where I was left in a wheelchair with no way to walk to my uber, when it finally arrived. The only reason I asked to be taken to this hospital is because my doctor is affiliated with them. It always galls me when I pass several hospitals to get to a particular hospital and then they treat me like they are doing me a favor and provide terrible service!!Patricia Isaac⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is by far the best ER in Atlanta. Dr. Waz you are the bomb dot com. Thank you for taking such great care of me. The nurse I had was slow as Molasses. My registration girl from Newark, NJ was awesome as well. I will definitely recommend this ER .Eric Ebron⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This idc not a bad ER. Emergency Rooms aren’t three mossy Finn places to be and are wrought with schedule conflicts and waiting problems… It’s an ER! The staff was friendly and my loved ones were taken care of. I’ve taken my daughter here and one of my god-daughters and both received fair treatment.Angela Harris I had a very bad experience at this emergency department…my family is still being affected by It today and this took place last November… I will never go there again or advise anyone I love to go there for anything!!! It’s a sad day when we lose faith in hospitals.Erin Walton Toni in the ER department is extremely rude & aggressive. Not the kind of staff you need. Everyone has been nothing but professional & helpful. Why tell a pregnant woman who had a stillbirth not even a year ago, that she had a threatened abortion at 15 weeks? Very insensitive & to me a misdiagnosis. Not sure about the place…Nuri Meral If you want to wait forever yes Northside emergency best placeJohn Mcaleer Stay away from this ER! I went in for stomach cramps that ended up being appendicitis. I was taken back after 90 minute wait around 9PM. Was asked kind of rudely if I was there for stomach cramps. I was literally in massive pain and wouldnt have been there unless absolutely necessary. Laid in a bed waiting for pain medication for over 30 minutes until wife went out and stared at nursing staff that was playing with instagram. I get CT scan and around 2:30 in morning am told that my appendix is needing to be removed. Then a crazy doctor comes in and tells me they have found a mass that was cancer and that we should pray that it wasn’t sarcoma. Without a biopsy or any info other than the CT scan I am told this before going into appendix surgery. Send extremely distraught wife home as I wasnt going to be able to have surgery until the morning. Literally kept up all night by constant disruptions before getting a room in the early morning. Worst possible patient care under the circumstances you could possibly imagine.Daniel Quinn My recommendation is to avoid Northside Hospital. We went to the emergency room and received a bill not from the hospital, but from a doctor we never even met with. Given that the doctor, whom we never met at any point, was not in our insurance network — this created a problem with our visit being covered. In the interest of full disclosure, this was eventually settled to our satisfaction, but it involved a time-consuming appeal process.Vris Agu Was here on 2/8/19 10:30 pm… For migraine headache. They have me a room and waited for ever.and when I say waited for ever it was for ever. When Dr.ptl came in, migrane was gone. He wanted to give me meds after migrane was gone. He was rude.and on top of that waited another 40 minutes just for dissmisal papers. I could see all of them walking around with their cups in their hands. Only 3 or 4 that was doing work. No body “doc’s” care to come see me in room or give me meds.Dezarae Jaiteh Don’t go to for emergency’s. They will neglect you, i was in level 10 pain and seen 15 ppl with colds before me. They even took ppl that came in after me before they even looked at what was going on with me. SmhAlise Knight⭐️⭐️I was in a car accident today and drove 30 minutes to come to Northside thinking that it was a better hospital than Kennestone and boy was I wrong! My wait was longer than the actual visit with the doctor and I don’t feel like she gave me a through examination just ensured I didn’t have a concussion by doing a reflex test and then sent a nurse to discharge me. I was on the phone with my mother making sure that I shouldn’t request any additional test before being discharged since this is my first car accident. ER Nurse Jenna (she would not give me her last name) walked in without knocking and said I’m here to give you your discharge papers , I asked her can she give me one second I’m trying to confirm with my mom that I don’t need to request anything else before I’m released and she rudely raised her voice at me and said “No I don’t have to wait on you you can take these papers or go out in the waiting room “ I told her I wasn’t leaving or signing anything before confirming that I was fine and she then yelled that she was going to call security . I have never in life been spoken to like that let alone at a hospital where they are supposed to care for you. I’ve already experienced a traumatic event today you would think a nurse would be compassionate but not Jenna. I called patient relations immediately and reported her because people like that don’t deserve to work with people. I only gave two stars because the registration ladies and the front desk attendants were polite and welcoming and one registration nurse even helped me get my purse since I was injured.George Pappas⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe best. Hospital in town the staff and Doctors are so professionalLaWhoSay Her⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast service and very accommodatingCalamity Jane⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️went in for bleeding/ possible miscarriage. didn’t have to wait for anything except the doctor (for an hour) after the ultrasound. Out within 3 hours. Everyone but one nurse was very nice. Much better than Wellstar, months ago i had the same issue and had to go in twice, each time took 6+ hours and everyone was bitchy.Ramin Zolghadr I was there where with my 4 years old son on 12/09/ son was blinding from his head, we had to wait over 3 hours, very on personal staff, please if you have another choice of ER go for it.Matt Farmer I came in with nerve damage from a sports injury. I stated multiple times what my injury was and my concerns about the lack of feeling in my body. I was not taken seriously, and besides an ultrasound, they did not address the nerve damage. If I come to find that my issue is irreparable due to late treatment, a lawsuit WILL be coming.Justin Burkhaltee Horrible service
