Before you go to Northside Hospital Cherokee, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Canton emergency room think.
Dairell DavisI have been to the ER here several times and have always been treated very professionally so this is about a one time visit on the late evening of November first. As usual and thankfully all the nursing and administrative staff were awesome. I waited three hours to see the doctor. I heard just before I went back to a room that the doctor had vowed to clear the lobby of the ones still waiting. Well,, he did. He spent three minutes with me and said my test looked good and there was nothing he could do for me in the ER. I guess their ER no longer treats patients. That’s how he “cleared the lobby” of waiting patients. I will continue to use this hospital as it has been very good in the past but this man shouldn’t be a doctor. I would like to know his name and school so I can write in his book. Not to be forgotten. Will SimmonsTerrible. Just terrible. So, so incredibly slow. Waited over 4 hours to get a reading on 2 X rays. That’s it, just 2 X rays. Never coming back here. Why on earth would we?Melanie McGuire⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWonderful group of medical professionals in the ER. They were so caring and attentive in helping me get better. Thankful to have this hospital so close to my home.Morgen Norwood⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedYesterday I brought my daughter into the ER because she had been bucked off a horse & her arm was partially stepped on. I want to add that when she got hurt, none of the staff at the place where she was injured checked on my child or helped me whatsoever, everyone froze and stared as I had to hop a fence & cross an arena to even reach her, I made it to my car carrying her without so much as a word spoken to her or me, a door held, an offer to call 911, nothing. I shared that part simply so that everyone reading this understands the impact it made on me when I entered the emergency room and FINALLY, was met with some help and people who clearly cared, I’m actually tearing up as I write this. I came in pretty frantic bc so far I hadn’t received any help, I had my “Momma bear” in full force expecting to have to be aggressive to get immediate care (thinking the arm was snapped @ her elbow) but I was immediately met with a wheel chair, several nurses, and a doctor who happened to be standing there. All of them clearly were just as concerned as I was, and any parent reading this knows what an amazing feeling it is to know your kid is safe and cared for. There aren’t words for that feeling of reassurance and relief. Everyone worked together to get her information & then immediately took her back to a room. A nurse who was taking my daughter back reassured her as I ran to park my car & stayed with her until I returned. We had x-rays done in her room within 10 minutes of walking in the building. We had a doctor telling us results within the hour. The doctor (who was not assigned to her) that had been standing up front when we came in, came by her room to tell us he had reviewed the results himself because he was shocked it wasn’t broken and wanted to come by and check on her! WOW. I was stopped in the hallway by the intake nurse who wanted to check on her as well. As we left all of the nurses that had helped us get in told my daughter how brave she was and chatted with us. I understand we came at a time where they were not quite as busy, but the care provided was by far the best medical experience I’ve ever had, and I made sure to tell them that! The kindness they showed me and my daughter made a huge impact on us both. ❤️ THANK YOU!Anastasia FinneganI’ve never seen a staff that’s is so slow and just not in a hurry this bad before! They just don’t care, they are not about to rush for anyone. Staff just strolling along and hanging out at the counters with others, gossiping and hanging out. You’re here to work, step on it, it’s what I pay y’all for. Y’all want my money but don’t wanna actually work for it. Just a bunch of clock riders. The check in staff at the very first er counter was more in a hurry than anyone else and they just check them in to wait! Get on it people! HUSTLE!kimberly AlvaradoIf I could give it no stars I would. First visit here it was post accident. Brought my daughter in with back pains. At the time we had relocated and she was uninsured. Despite severe pain, they did absolutely nothing but give her a dose a pain meds and sent her home. No mri even though she was in tears of pain from her back and neck. Second visit tonight, I brought my highly asthmatic daughter. After waiting two hours, they only came out for her for an X-ray. If I’m telling you she’s asthamtic, her meds aren’t working and she’s run out, why are you making her wait this long just to come back for an X-ray? We didn’t come here with symptoms of a pneumonia but asthma. There’s no reason why she hasn’t gotten a treatment at the very least as we wait. I guess they figured if she goes into true respitory distress, she’s already In the ER? Until then, they will wait until symptoms truly become severe and she’s blue before addressing her. Horrible place to bring your children to, despite being the closest ERCraig Gruber⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to the ER on a Sunday night expecting a long wait. I was seen within 15 minutes, and from there, things went fast. The staff, from the MA’s, the many nurses and the Nurse Practitioner were all very attentive to not only my health concerns, but protocols and procedures. I felt like I was a priority! I was excited to know that this hospital was being built less than 1 1/2 miles from my house, I just figured it would be convenient as I got older, not 49! Great experience! Would go again if I had to, but I have no plans for many years to come!Tony ColmenaresI brought my wife here one night last week because she was having horrible pains. We both expected to wait for an extended period of time, it’s an emergency room. When we finally got placed in a room, a person wearing all black (there are several walking around) came in to have us sign a bill for over $3000. I asked her who she was and why the heck are we being billed right now, we hadn’t even been seen. She was like “oh you haven’t been seen, I’ll come back later then”. ??? How can you bill me when we hadn’t even started to be treated. We walked out. Healthcare is a freaking joke, and it’s very disturbing.Mai BayIt’s a shame when you hear the nurses talking about PATIENTS…WHAT HAPPENED TO HIPPA?? This needs to stop….We listened for almost 20 min about a patient and what they came in for and what the nurses thought personally about this patient…all I could to was get my MINOR CHILD OUT OF THERE….NEEDLESS TO SAY WE DROVE ALL THE WAY TO WELLSTAR KENNESAW….WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCEdavid lawsonHospital care is good. ER doctors billing is not. ER doctors billed “out of network” at this ER that is “in network”!!!!!Beth CainNorthside ER did not but send us bills. My husband went to the ER for a cut finger that needed stitches; 2 hours later he was sent home with a band-aide and two weeks later he received a bill (from a doctor he didn’t see) for $2300.00.Deziray Nunez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOn the past ive had some pretty bad experiences with northside but thursday morning it was close and i had no choice im 23 weeks and 4 days pregnant with twins i told them i was having contractions and thdy didnt hesitate to get me back into a room. The nurse’s and doctors acted fast ontop of letting me know what was going on. One of my nurse’s was crystal. I want tp thank all the safe that helped me that morning and afternoon. They have defiantly changed my put look on northside.Tracey HThe WORST EVER!! Went in for a bad Cortisone Shot from a Doctor, my Shoulder was swelled and bruised , they totally ignored it! The Nurse who works with the Doctor was very Rude, and told me I just had acne from scratching it? Which is not True, then the Dr came in 10 minutes later, and didn’t even look at my Shoulder, my blood pressure was 198/120, he gave me water pills telling me that they would Lower my blood pressure! Which they didn’t, and even tried to give me ANOTHER Cortisone Shot! Which was why I was there for the Last one!! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL !Catherine KendallLast I checked this ER provided “the highest level of care” 24/7 in a comfortable and safe environment with the knowledge to treat everyone. Im guessing that doesn’t apply to a parent who owes a bill and their child who needs to be treated regardless of them having insurance. I rushed my 10yr old daughter to the ER, thinking one of the ” high-quality” staff would take care of my baby wound but that wasn’t the case even at a facility that provides the “highest level of care” I had to put my mommy nurse cap on and clean the blood from my baby feet and look for bandaids to cover her wounds, all to be rushed to the Financial Coordinator for a bill I owed. I felt so disrespected, my baby was lied to and she felt very uncomfortable even tho her foot was hurting she just wanted to go home. I hope I wont ever have to bring my kids here again_ CainDidn’t even see a Dr. only a nurse in the ER but some Dr is sending me a bill on top of the hospital bill.Melissa BerkeyPitiful excuse for knowledgeable nurses n doctors. unreliable for proper concern n care. Anywhere else is a better choice.Kristal Kincaid⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Love the new facility.
