Before you go to Northwest Community Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Arlington Heights emergency room think.
Sarosh MajeedStaff is cold and the common answer for most questions is “I don’t know”, especially the staff on ED. What people have posted about long wait times is true. I brought someone in for allergic reaction to a medication. Knowing full well her reaction was worsening and her throat was starting to feel filter fuller, the right thing at this time would have been to treat her asap. Instead we waited and waited while her reaction worsened. The least they could have done was give her the meds if she had to continue waiting in the lobby. Once in the ER room, one of the workers comes in blasting music while bringing a dirty bed in. Nurse left with the computer fully logged in showing all the patients in ED and their personal information there to be seen by everyone. One could have even made changes. It’s just not professional.Recommend trying a different ER.Dave Porter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEmergency room stuff was very friendly, they have a lot of things that helps keep your kids busy while you spends there “half of your life” seriously, it takes toooo much time to go through everything!!! But people who working there are nice, friendly and they are real professionalsruben Villarreal⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedbrought my wife last night a little bit long on the wait time but had the best dr and nurse treated so kindlyJessicaIf you want to pay 1000s of dollars to both the hospital and an independent company for doctor fees because apparently the doctor I saw doesnt work for the hospital, then go right ahead. I’m paying close to $900 (after insurance) for 10 minutes, a benadryl, and a “I’m not 100% sure, but this would be my best guess” then this is the place for you. If you’re not swimming in money then go elsewhere.Lina Zaleska⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWhen I was read reviews it was a shock. I thought it the worst emergency room in the world. But when we bring my 6-years old son in the place it was a wonderful experience. Nurse and Doctor were nice and friendly. It was amazing.Ravin Parekh⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNot sure how this is rated as a 2 star facility, should be more then 5. Excellent staff, amazing knowledge and prompt wait times.Dark RedBloodI took my brother in law tonight to Northwest emergency as he had bad stomach ache and was puking all over. At the desk were these two clowns, who seemed in more pain just to be there as they didn’t bother to assist and said 2-3 hour wait time and suggested to ho some where else. Excuse me, are you kidding me and the guy who seemed more like a roadside shack bartender offered puke bag. Thanks allot. We decided to go to Amita emergency and we did had to wait but were still assisted.Kulin AMean stuff , long wait times ….Nicole ClarkIf I could give this ER 0 stars I would. I have never chosen to go to this hospital for personal reasons, we only go to doctors through other networks as to avoid NCH. However, after hearing how great a lot of the doctors within NCH are, I figured I would give it a shot. Bad mistake on my part. The room was an old storage closet ( remarks of a staff member ) the nurses and doctor seemed rushed. The nurse did a very bad job on the IV and even lied when i questioned her positioning. They diagnosised my issue and prescribed a laundry list of prescriptions for no reason (pain meds when i never complained of pain, Antibiotics when there was no sign of infection) When they took my IV out and putting the bandage on they were too rushed to notice it was still bleeding. I almost left the hospital without realizing my entire arm and sweatshirt was covered in blood. When i brought this to the attention of staff, they barely moved and got annoyed that they had to cover it and waste more gauze. They let me leave with dry blood all over. To top it off ,when i followed up with a doc after the visit, he also questioned ALL of the meds they prescribed and told me to stop all of them. In his words “did they even talk to you?” I suggest you make the treck to a different ER.Fatma KolushiMean stuff to the emergency roomAnna SwiderskiThe rooms are dirty & old, (there was blood/vomit splatters all over our walls) the staff is mean & unwelcoming. The whole time I was there I felt judged, I was not helped at all! The staff doesn’t explain anything, I rather drive a little further & get better service.Rina Baxter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEmergency Room Visit
