Before you go to NYU Langone Health – Cobble Hill, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Brooklyn emergency room think.
Angie Lieber⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had an exceptional experience here. Staff was kind, even the guards. The bathrooms were clean. In my few hours for an accident I saw two doctors, a PA and a nurse. I rarely write reviews. I was very pleased.Yakima Watkins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Came in with an eye laceration. They were very attentive and efficient. I didn’t have to wait long and was given great care when I seen the Dr. I’m very pleasedOrla McCaffrey⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedTruly the best ER I’ve ever been to. I was in and out within two hours. The nurses and other staff are all very communicative and let you know exactly what’s going on. I saw a physician’s assistant about 30 minutes after arrival and a doctor about an hour later. Really positive experience!Rza Mollaev⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone here was so kind and treated me very well during my visit. I came on a Wednesday night at 11:30pm for severe abdominal pain that lasted for 2 1/2 months and the ER was surprisingly quiet and empty! The RN (Surgeon) and the Tech were cracking jokes and were both very personable. Overall, my stay here was extremely pleasant and quick and I’m glad that I made the trip out here from Manhattan. I will definitely be coming again for future emergencies!Skyla Rayne⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in on a Friday night at 6:30pm. I was in a bed within 5 minutes, had nurses and doctors checking on me regularly. all staff was kind, professional, and friendly. They were super understanding and helpful. NYU is the only chain of hospital locations I trust. I was given a projected time, which ended up being even shorter, text updates about my case, and meds to help me. Thank youKarimat Arogundade⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest ER experience ever…didn’t really think those two statements go together, but it really was. It was clean, prompt, and the staff were extremely attentive. I even got a call from the doctor, who attended to me the very next day to see how I was doing! This is definitely a hidden gem.Erica ByunIf you want proper medical attention, DO NOT GO HERE. After waiting to be checked in for over an hour – which I understand and can tolerate, I was given a chair, and was told I will not be given a bed all night “given the situation.” Ive had a severely herniated disc in the lower back for over 5 years, details of which I provided the moment I saw the first nurse, told them I cant sit or stand and all the physician wanted to do was test me for a UTI and didn’t “see a reason to give me a bed.” The most ridiculous and baffling experience Ive ever had at the ER.D⭐️⭐️⭐️Was treated right away. Zero wait time. Very organized, very structured system. Attentive and pleasant nurses and doctors and very clean and fast facilities. Compared to others. glad i went, however beware of the way they charge you. Received a surprise bill in the thousands and they wont tell you that the doctor on call is out of network. They just ran a few test and was there less than an hour, not sure how it was so expensive.Jeff BowmanI walked in with low grade fever and severe dehydration. They gave me one bag of saline and let me leave with a fever and barely able to walk out of there. almost passed out getting home. Still dehydrated. Go there if you’re having a heart attack, maybe. What a waste of time…If I could give a lower score I would, or a law suit…Bryan Mitchener⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI took my teenage son into the ER last night, as he had fainted a few times. It was a Friday night, so I was expecting a busy situation when we got there but I was pleasantly surprised. While busy, there was a flow of priorities being dealt with in an orderly fashion, from the security guard, nursing staff and doctors. Not saying it was fast, but were never made to feel like we were left in limbo, During our visit there was a situation with an older gentlemen, who maybe had a little too much to drink, and he was getting verbally hostel. The staff handled him with dignity and calmed him down vs having it escalate into having the police involved. The hospital’s NYPD officer was there, but stepped back to allow the staff to manage the situation. I have lived in the neighborhood +10 years and over that time I have seen real improvement since NYU took over the operation. This is a valuable resource to have in our community and I am glad we haven’t lost it to developers. Keep up the good fight!Jacob CohenDisgusting and vile. Staff is rude. Waiting forever with a high fever and severe abdomen pain. How is that triage.Chelsea LaBree⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSuper efficient, friendly, professional care. The nurse took the time to explain every medication, side effect, and procedure to me. I was seen and treated quickly. 10/10 would recommend.Mishele LesserWhat bizarre experience of indifference. As I was discharged, I was told, “A lot of patients leave here without any answers.” I came to ER after 10 hrs of blinding pain on one side of body and left the same. Nobody attempted to figure out what the source of the pain was, once tests things ruled out three things, NO BODY WAS TRYING TO PROBLEM SOLVE WITH ME. I told the technician when she touched me I had searing pain by my kidney, but she said only the doctor can diagnose me. Their sonogram didn’t pick up that it was a kidney stone. If the doctor would have spent time listening to me, we could have figured it out. I told the nurses that the pain over night had traveled from my back to my front, a symptom of kidney stones. Yes most of nurses and techs were nice, and yes it’s clean, but one important key is still the doctors. So they ran their tests but I was there 3 hrs and doctor never examined me, never checked for the pain, and never went over results of tests with me. He spoke to me a few minutes and said he’d come back after lab results, but never did. I stumbled around the unit searching for a second doctor, but there wasn’t one. This is the abc’s of medicine, treat the patient not the disease. All I was told was to take Advil and Tylenol. Leaving the ER with same pain and no answers was a frightening and painful experience. If you’ve had a kidney stone, you know it’s excruciating. I was back in ER the next day but at another hospital and they identified a kidney stone and an infection. Listening to the doctor at NYU Lagone Cobble Hill play flirt with an elderly woman next to me for 20 minutes while she too expressed fear and just wanted him to do his job, was a disconcerting waist of time and resources. No matter your insurance, going to an ER is enormously expensive. In terms of EI, he seemed bizarrely clueless, just loving the sound of his voice, not trying to listen to patients. Ugh. He didn’t even come and go over the results with me. As the place was calm and not busy, I watched him sit behind a computer. Having nurses watch me leave in extreme pain, and fear without any pain medication or plan of next steps was one of the worse experiences.Jessica Cerutti⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSo kind. Pediatrician available! Real quick and an overall great experience. So cleanNovis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent service! Staff and Doctor were nice & fast!Abigail Gibbs⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had the BEST experience here! I was on vacation from out of town and they made me very comfortable. Made sure my friends found me and kept me in the loop. Service was very fast! Can’t thank the staff here enough.Amaala Martinez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest kept secret in Brooklyn. I love this emergency room. In and out and everyone is super attentive and extremely professional. the place is immaculate. I have been here several times and never had any complaints. And….drum roll please…….they always call and follow up to check on you. How are you, how are the symptoms etc- this makes such a difference. Just that they took the time to do it makes a big difference overall. I know my medical is paying for the service but trust me- they go above and beyond. Always smiling and pleasant. And, I swear everyone comes over and asks how are you? This emergency room is so peaceful, every time you speak you want to whisper. How they are and the way they do what they do, I have never been to another hospital in NYC that does this or even heard of any of them doing this. I’ve been to a few. I just wish they had a maternity ward & trauma- imagine that! I would feel like a celebrity while there in labor and after giving birth. This place spoils you & is how all hospitals should be. As long as I live in Brooklyn and they are around- I will never go anyplace else. My 2 year old was sick WOW- just wow! Please never stop treating patients like humans. Because no one wants to go to the emergency room. But, if you have to, you definitely always want to be treated here. Thank you to everyone who works here because it takes all not jut one. I have been going here since 2015 maybe 14′ always pleased. Most recent visit with my toddler- 2/19. They are still on point.Rindala AlAjaji⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came in because of food poisoning and was in insane pain, and while it took 5 hours to get it all sorted — my 5 star review is mostly for the RN on shift, Jessica. She was super attentive and acted like a caring mother towards all her patients. She made my experience incredible and my pain more manageable with her kindness.Marlene Reyes⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWas here last week due to some unexpected pain. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional and made the experience less anxious for me.Zalman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad the best er experience I ever had. Sedrick and Natalie and the rest of the staff were attentive, quick and friendly.Keenina Gaines⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedProfessional,Very compassionate Nurses and Aides I love them, they remember me Matthew Albertell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHands down one of the best ER hospitals I’ve ever been to. Prompt, fast, and professional. In and out in less than 3 hours. Most places would take twice as long. Highly, highly recommend.Jennifer McGoldrickThis was by far the best ER experience I have had in NYC. Fast, friendly, clean. I was in and out in 45 minutes with medication and referrals. I didn’t even have to go to a pharmacy. *Update: I wasn’t given the correct medication for an adult showing symptoms of a children’s illness, ended up back in ER and then hospital four days later and because of the minimal treatment may have a scar across a third of my face for the rest of my life because I ended up with a staph infection that requires three antibiotics and an iv so I regret my positive review!!MFH 2008⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBelieve the great reviews!! This is the best ER i’ve been to and i’ve been to a lot in my lifetime. ! Not a long wait for triage and was seen by a nurse and doctor within 30 min of arrival. And got even luckier to have encountered everyone with GREAT bedside manner. Truly a diamond in the rough!Ruth Reynoso⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedClean, great service and bedside manners, no wait time to be attended when I went. Great network, if they can’t do something in the premises, they will transfer you.Eva & Bart Jansen-Dirix⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAbsolutely fantastic! Quick, humane, kind, professional. No wait time whatsoever when we needed to visit the emergency room for severe stomach ache. The doctor even found time to engage in some personal talk to make us feel better!murad sucess⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery good service highly recommended, Got in and got out quick.Blessed Williams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff is very professional and make you feel comfortable. I appreciated my visitJ V⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAttentive staff extremely polite and non rushed best experience in a hospital everShmuly Engelman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedZero wait time. Very nice staff. I can’t really call an emergency room visit a pleasent experience but this was as close as it gets. Definitely worth the trip from my neighborhood.sea atkins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The staff is super nice and professional, definitely give you the best care . Thanks so much!LiveHappy LiveHappyNightmare!! Night shift experience: Very unprofessional night staff. They treated me like I wasnt human and talked down to me. Really bad experience.Misha Kahn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedShocked at how pleasant an experience that was! Everyone was so sweet.Maria M⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWas there today. As someone who has had health struggles, the hardest thing about going to the ER is not being listened to or believed. This place is not like other ERs. All of the staff (technicians, nurses, and doctors) treated me with kindness and compassion. They listened to me. I highly recommend this ER. These people are incredibly good at what they do.Shah Miah⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came here with my wife for trouble breathing and chest burning,What a excellent emergency service @ NYU lounge cobble hill, staffs are amazing friendly in nyc I never seen emergency rooms service like that I will always recommend if anyone wants to go for an emergency issue just go there to get emergency experience I would have given more than 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ But there is no option compare to any other ER room in NYC you are the best Pura Almanzar⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIt is the best hospital I saw.I Never see an emergency room more capable than NYU langore……Danielia Donohue⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedA wonderful team of professionals! I went in yesterday, was admitted right away, and was treated by a great team from start to finish. Luckily I didn’t have to stay long, but it was fine if I had to stay longer. Everyone listened, had patience, and treated me and everyone else with respect. Going to the ER isn’t the best way to spend an afternoon, but they made a scary experience tolerable. Thank you.M A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe best emergency room. Lovely staff and professional. The most important thing is that they work really fast.Christina BallantyneI went for a kidney stone which I have had before (aka experienced ER treatment before). I was in and out unusually fast compared to my last visit at another clinic which didn’t seem right. I was told the pain should lessen the next day and that I should call if it does not. The next day I had a fever, was vomiting and the pain was significantly worse. I continuously called the number given to me, left voicemails and no one answered. For context, I was one of three total patients in the ER. After calling another doctor I know, he said the antibiotics I was given we’re not strong enough for a kidney stone. Basically I was handed an ER bill and no one will return my calls. Unacceptable. The staff was nice and at the time answered my questions. I’ll give you guys that.Solomon Chan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat workers, nice friendly, quick, and clean they made sure they walked me through every step so I felt comfortable. One of the curses saw I was cold and brought my mother and I warm blankets. Thank you!Shaunda Gilliam⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is the BEST ER in brooklyn! Quick, efficient, humane, and professional.Always come here for amazing service CLEAN and if you need to be admitted they transfer you to Manhattan NYU or Brookyln NYU old Lutheran HospitalBarisal Newsvery friendly staff.joyce kim⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedClean place, friendly staff. Security guard spotted me getting out of the car from inside the building and immediately asked if I needed a wheelchair. Zero wait time. Was taken in and tended to in less than 5 minutes. Everyone was kind and efficient. I was in and out in a little less than 2 hours. I drove 25 minutes out of the way to go here instead of my local ER based on reviews and it was TOTALLY worth it. Only downfall is that they don’t do MRIs here.Petra Peterson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff here are genuinely the most caring doctors I have ever encountered. There was absolutely no waiting, I was seen immediately. The staff was so kind and patient, when I explained that I had a panic disorder they did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and safe. My nurse Elisa was fantastic ditto for the PA and social worker I met with. This is how going to the ER should be.Ellen Gardon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedA well run ERITSJASMIN J⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBEST PLACE EVER !!!! These people are so nice , kind and sweet. My mom has been having pains in her lower back and side for the past three days It’s so bad she cant sleep. As soon……… And I literally mean….AS SOON as we walked in ! This kind lady brought us straight to the back. We immediately saw everyone , the nurse the doctor. No wait ! And they are all so kind . It’s not like other places that have you wait for hours and hours on end They help you immediately and they are super sweet and helpful. I usually hate hospitals or emergency rooms because of the long wait for the nurse or for the doctor to arrive but This place has completely changed my mind.Lisa Collymore⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I went to the Ambulatory center of NYU of Cobble Hill at (73 Amity Street) not specifically the emergency room but I had a doctor’s appointment with my doctor today who just recently moved to the NYU Cobble Hill location this week and the visit went fairly well the space was bigger than the last office and the staff was pleasant..I’m looking forward to my next visit.Quinntarah Maxwell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAMAZING! I had an onyx ring stuck on my finger and the swelling was getting bad. I was in and out in under an hour. The staff are all so courteous, warm, and friendly. They are very reassuring and knowledgeable.David⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing staff amazing serviceAndre Burrell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest ER I’ve ever been to. Came in with an excruciating tension headache and barely had to wait. Was seen pretty much right away and left an hour or two later feeling close to normal again. Extremely professional and good natured staff.Tony Bricktua⭐️⭐️Clean, friendly staff. But I had to wait four hours for a shot and two pills.Ginny Cotto⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest experience ever!!! 10☆ to everybody. Good chemistry between employees, really make you feel betterDavid Sussman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent experience. Very nice staff.Ari Hershkowitz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat medical center! Went there for emergencies a few times. Awesome staff! It’s not a full hospital, just an emergency room. I’m specificaly pleased with their flexibility in policy. Unlike other hospitals and emergency rooms, which did not respect the AMA (against medical advice) rules, the folks here let me leave after signing a responsibility waiver. Something I legally have a right to.Nico Luna⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedUshered into triage with no wait. Saw someone and filled out my chart in under thirty minutes. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. The best ER visit I’ve had in New York.De Janee Janee⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHospital is very good . The staff is very loving , my nurse Christa was the best and very patient, i have a bad fear of needles, and she put my iv in within Seconds , and almost no pain. Didnt spend hours here either , they work very fast and attentively! The only thing I didn’t like was the setup , the spacing between each patient is way too close, and they should use walls instead of curtains in between each patient!Erick Diaz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOther reviews are spot on. Friendly staff, quick triage, nurses and doctors have fantastic bedside manner and communicate to help alleviate any concerns. Was in and out relatively quickly. If you need an ER come here.Mari Luyando⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOne of the Best Hospital Emergency Unit Ever!! Staff and Doctors were Amazing.Tari StarrWhile fast and immediate which is a nice change from other ERs, not one of the doctors or nurses could identify that I had labrynthitis, an inner ear infection that regularly sends people to the ER, worst of all, this can be diagnosed with bedside tests, which they did over and over again only to stick their thumbs up their asses and tell me they don’t know what’s wrong and go see an internal medicine doctor? I had a hunch and so I was asking about seeing an ENT, which the doctors said not that to do, go see internal medicine(who also had no idea what was wrong with me and prescribed me antibiotics because my throat looked red) Until I saw an ENT, every nurse and doctor I saw asked if I was pregnant and then tried to tell me I was anxious or depressed or that my emotions were causing my sickness. Well, no thanks to the “excellent” staff at NYU Langone cobble hill, the nerves that were inflamed between my ear and my brain that made me feel so bad I took two separate trips to the ER are now all better. Why can’t an ER team identify something that often causes people to seek medical attention?D. A. Wagner⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIf you need emergency care, NYU Langone Cobble HIll is the first place I would go. The entire operation is organized, polite and friendly. The doctors, nurses and all the support staff are skilled and listen carefully to you. You’ll never feel rushed or treated rudely. This is about as professional an organization as you’ll ever experience. NYU Langone Cobble Hill is an amazing emergency healthcare facility.Nick Henneni’m regular guy. I didn’t ask for pain meds, I didn’t need ‘em. I went in with chest pain. I think the doctors and nurses are very qualified. I think they’re kind as well. I think the place is a nut house!! like crazy town. Do not go. In fact, run – – run far away. If you have anxiety this experience will take you to the brink. Long rows of gurneys line already crowded hallways. They are too busy to change the sheets in between patients. It is like being inside a circus of sick people. Most ERs are, but this is out of control. People asking to leave left and right. They Have to sign a special waiver that says they’re responsible for their own death – – people sign it willingly just to get the hell out!! You will feel invisible. You will be forgotten. There will be patients that are more important than you, no matter what is wrong with you. (( and that is OK)) But they are overwhelmed. They are very understaffed, and there isn’t nearly enough room. Like they operating at at least 195% capacity — it is like walking into a nightmare. Just trust me. If you’re reading reviews as I did before you go in somewhere – – listen to this guy, me. I’m gonna be honest with you. This is the worst decision you could ever make. Find a different one.israel taichman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBeen there 3 times, all I have to say is that this place is best.Abdulaziz Alesayi⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe best emergency room in nyc excellent service very helpful they love their job and treat patients with loveMr P⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGood service. Very fast overthere.Jennifer MacGregor⭐️⭐️Great experience when took my toddler. No wait, super attentive efficient and helped a lot. Then I go myself for abdominal pain and have a terrible experience- several different ppl ask same questions and mash on my abdomen, run some tests and then leave me there alone writhing in pain another 2 hrs. I’m pretty stoic and not the type to beg for pain medication.. They gave fluids which I said I didn’t need bc I was drinking fluids and keeping much of them down!! I had to carry my own iv to the bathroom and balance it while peeing because no one came to ask or help. A receptionist had to give me my barf bucket. The medication to relax abdominal ‘cramps’ they gave didn’t help at all. Plus I had epigastric pain so that doesn’t make sense anyway. I left without receiving any test results or diagnosis because I would rather be in severe abdominal pain on my own floor with a stomach flu, gastritis, (or whatever it is!) than be left& forgotten pacing through the night in a nasty ER. For all I know I have an ulcer or pancreatitis or something else but these fools didn’t help, didn’t follow up, and left me for so long with escalating pain I had to remove my own IV and leave after 3hoirs… Complete waste. Would have been much better off waiting till morning and giving urgent care a chance. Lesson learned!Audubon D.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNo wait, and great, pleasant, competent staff. So happy I came here; they were thorough and professional and, despite the emergency medical problem, I had a great experience here.Janine Deloatch⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery clean….everyone I seen was very caring and nice…fast service…Camelia Jimenez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOutstanding and excellent service, human quality, speed and very good facilities. The treatment of the doctors was warm and very human!Vivian Iturralde⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve been to this facility for myself and my husband. Top quality professionalism, swift care, and very thorough. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.Elliot Felix⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis place is great. Super fast intake, full of knowledgeable, caring helpful people, and they even followed-up by phone next day.Frank Forte⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFantastic staff that is warm and very attentive. Was in and out rather quickly. Will use againCarmen Pellot⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat attention regarding my health staff from Doctors to the rest of staff and cleanliness. great comfortable bed as well. keep up.Kelly NeunerMy friend crashed in a bike race and 4 hours later, no stitches, no Motrin or water (but it’s “on order). 2 security guards and 2 nurses literally watched me walk up to the entrance door carrying her bike and backpack with no free hands and didn’t open the door. They just stared as a had to kick it open myself. Maybe they should hire more than one doctor. Because what do you need more in an emergency room: doctors who can actually help people with medical problems, or 11 nurses sitting behind computers (booking flights on Jet Blue), flirting with the lone PA, and 2 security guards? There were 5 patients in the room. Seems like a misallocation of staff if 90% of the people working the emergency room are not able to offer any service besides gauze pads.Venessa George⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWhat bad can I say, “no
