Before you go to Onslow Memorial Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Jacksonville emergency room think.
Luis Joaquín RojasWithout any doubt, the worst Emergency Room I’ve ever been to. A few months ago, I took my son (20 months old then) with a 3/4 of a inch gash above his left eyebrow. We arrived at 5 pm and they had us waiting for 2 hours just to see a nurse. 2 more hours later, we finally saw a doctor. The staff is friendly, yes, but that E.R. is definitely not children friendly. We got discharged at 10:45 pm. So it took then almost 6 hours to superglue my son’s wound. It only took the doctor 5 minutes to do his work. And I didn’t see anyone with a sense of urgency whatsoever. Everyone was pretty chill, in the meantime you are waiting because they’re “busy”.Amber Pierce⭐️⭐️Last night I stopped in. I was in extreme pain and truly needed a shot. But I just wanted to sit there for a few minutes before I signed myself in because the bill there is SO HIGH. During the 30 minutes i was sitting there all the seats were empty except three other chairs. One elderly man had just been discharged but was sitting there for a second as well as the other man in a cast with a child. They were both told that if they had been discharged it was trespassing for them to sit in the lobby, when they had only been sitting there for a few minutes. All the chairs were empty. They were both probablly still highly medicated. Its so sad that the lack of compassion made me scared to even be treated there.Latosha Faulkner⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNurse S, Bailey was a great traveling nurse, unbelievable she earned all five stars herselfNeil MasonSo slow, I think they have 1 doctor. Absolutely zero effort put in from staff. You are all the worst I have ever seen. The worstKellie HandteRather drive to another hospital than to go here.David BordeauTakes hours with no one in the lobby. As if there was only a single doctor working.Jacob MurrayDrop the “on” and their name will fit. Slow, and seems like they only have one doctor. Came in at 11pm and still here at 4:19 am for a broken arm.Ron ISo i came in after falling out a tree, roughly 20 foot. The people were very nice and rushed me to the back quickly. However, after having an xray and a ct scan they found nothing. My hip isnt sitting straight. I have prior herniated disks in my lower back, were the current pai is, and they found nothing. Not even my previous condition which i have an mri of the issue. The staff have wonderful bedside manor but that doesnt fix the problem. They sent me home telling me to take tylenol. No ice packs, no script for anti inflammatory. Nothing. While the smiling faces were great, I’d rather have an old lady pinching me while she thinks im sleeping but have my back fixed than people smiling and doing a piss poor job. Follow up – After 2 days i went to the ER in New Bern. They told me i had multiple herniated disks and was to follow up with a spinal surgeon. If i dont get this surgery i could loose the feeling or ability in my right leg due to nerve damage.Dutchz Beatz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey got me in and out of the ER quick. Plus everyone was friendly and helpful.Sarah Young⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery pleased with how great the staff was. They were very attentive, helpful, and ensured i was as confortable as possible. My doctor was Ivan and he was definitely the best emergency room physician ive ever seen.Zachary HerreraI would honestly rather die literally die than ever come to this place again. I broke my hand and have been waiting in a waiting room with 7 people for over 6 &$-#-$;$-$$;$-$ hours now haven’t done anything but take my vitals. Will self diagnose from here on or travel for medical care.Gabriel JonesVery slow with getting people back.
