Before you go to OSF Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Peoria emergency room think.
Brandon Kohtz⭐️⭐️⭐️Have been here 5 hours and counting still in the waiting room. Not to mention it smells like a zoo in here. Doesn’t seem like this place is very organized and they need to do some evaluating on how to make some improvements! Surprised no one has coded yet in the waiting room with these wait times. However once we finally got in all the nurses and physicians were excellent especially Dr. Chan!!!Ryan MitacekWent into the waiting room complaining of Chest Pain (Yes, the URGENT THING). Sat in the waiting room for 2 hours, not a single patient including myself was let in to see a doctor. On trying to speak with the staff to confirm what the wait might be since I was concerned about LITERALLY DYING, I felt their attitude was extremely unprofessional. Was not that clean either. Drove myself across the street to the other hospital, was hooked up to a machine and tested within 5 minutes. If I had a choice there is no way I would ever return to OSF.Constance Lucia⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAlexis was so fantastic and patient getting my IV in even though I have a horrible fear of needles. Got seen right away and finally got diagnosed with mono after being sent away at the prompt care.Joshua BurchSat in er waiting room for 3 hours pretty dead no real traffic had multiple people go ahead of me they deem what things are a priority most of the staff sat around sleeping I’m sure I have an infection but I left none the less to be treated so trivially by a service that demands the kind of money they do is rediculousMrSupersaiyanguyWhatever you do DO NOT come here, I came to follow up after I was assaulted and was forced into a restraining neck brace for over 8 hours that apparently I never needed in to begin with, i was refused pain medicine for 8 hours when it was at it’s worst, staff repeatedly lie about things and mistreat patients, and I was admitted to psyche for literally no reason because I was previously admitted over a year ago at Methodist, forcing my fiance to go back to a home she doesn’t feel safe in anymore which didn’t help my anxiety any, whatever you do DON’T come here, anywhere else is betterBTOOK MY DAUGHTER IN A THE DOCTOR PUT A BAND AID ON THE SYMPTOMS AND WATCH HER FOR 1/2 HOUR . HAD TO TAKE HER SOME WHERE ELSE TO GET A CORRECT DIAGNOSIS . NEVER TAKE ANYONE THERE AGAIN NOT EVEN MY DOG. SOUNDED LIKE THEY WHERE HAVING A PARTY IN THE ROOM WHERE THEY CAME OUT OF WHEN THE YCAOME IN THE ROOM .Rick HippI took my 80 year old Uncle to the ER for stroke tests. He sat for 3 hours and was discharged without being seen…he didn’t hear his name called. I advised them that he was still waiting. It would help if they would actually step into the waiting area and speak up. They simply called out a name from next to the desk. They put him back in the rotation. Inept is the word. This is the absolute worst place a person can go. I know Unity Point Methodist is much better. Had I not been told by my Uncle, I would have gone there. Been 6 .5 hours now. Not noticeably closer. Does not even rate one star. Once you get past the waiting room, it’s ok.Eric Scovill⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe took our daughter to the ER last night. AMT’s staff was great on the ride there. Once we arrived, OSF’s ER staff got us right in. Nurses were helping us right away. Everyone was friendly, kind, and professional. We expressed our desire to use as little medication as possible, while still being medically responsible. They accommodated that too. They thought we’d be there over night, but after the right treatment and some powerful prayer, we were on our way home within 3-4 hours. She is completely back to normal today. Can’t thank you enough. Great job everyone.Marlene Harris⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery good care! I got right in.Tanya Wills⭐️⭐️My boyfriend came into the osf emergency room in a lot of pain and the doctors made the pain 50 times worse by examining him and all they gave him for the pain was tylenol… I realize that some people Are druggies and go to the hospital just looking for pain killers, but when the pain is so bad Its raising your blood pressure there’s a problem and the doctors should more to help try to ease the pain level… not everyone is hooked on pain killers!!!Jaymie Gordon-TownzenLost complete feeling and couldn’t lift my arms and was brought by ambulance. I sat in a wheelchair in the lobby part of the e r for over 7 hours. No neurology evaluation til I got feeling back. Absolutely awful experiencejessica mansmithI was sent away still horribly crying I’m pain I left 2 hours ago and I’m still balling. I’d rather suffer than go back there for how horribly I was taken care of.Militza Nieves6 hrs in ER with chest pain and shortness of breath… and they still dont have room so a Doctor can see us… Worst service ever… Tjey should have more room and mire staff.Jess HarrisonVery unprofessional. Staff is unpleasant.Sherrie CorderWaiting in er still with severe lower right abdominal pain. Radiating to back..started last nite..gas meds not working..feels like something bursted.has almost been two hours.william dorseyThis is one of the worst hospitals in Illinois. My wife have server back pain and cannot walk but there are people who have gone back with lesser problems. There was a lady that just got here and they let her back there. The staff is clueless and they need more training and a better attitude. You should not have to wait for hours and hours to receive care. The next time I will go to another hospital. This makes no sense having to wait here for so long and the staff is either joking or sitting around. This place is a joke and they should be ashamed of themselves. By the time we get to a room it will be sunrise. Your better if treating yourself than to come to OSF. This is why people don’t come here and get treatedRhonda Howard⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThere was a very long wait but everyone was kind and caring and definitely did their best for me in spite of all the grief they were getting from other patients.Amiyaa EllaThis Is the Worst Hospital to go to for an Emergency! I went 3 Different Times 3Days in a row I left The third time Cause of the Long wait And rude Staff. I went To Proctor Hospital They had got me to A room Quickly and They actually Found Out was Wrong with With me Unlike Osf who I had already been to Twice ♀️ ♀️Hailey Peterson8 hours in the Er just for pneumonia, and I had my toddler with me. Just to get a chest X-ray, and antibiotics like I knew I would. I could have been in an out if they got X-ray while I was waiting, and someone just told me they got me meds. Parking lot was full when first tried coming so had to wait and keep trying.Dana GrossDr. Wohl, er dr at osf ottawa is the worst dr I have ever delt with. He is so unprofessional, inappropriate with female patients, and does not even touch/assess other patients. I will be calling state and OSCHA and hope he loses his job and dr degree.Sarah DarlingDirty!!! Literally saw a toilet that had black on the bowl . The bed in the room we were put in had a bloody Band-Aid on it from someone else. One of the nurses literally told us about why another patient was in there and why she didn’t want her as a patient . Violation of hippa !!the form I was told was consent to treat was actually abpaper that authorized involuntary care taking away our refusal. This was not explained nor was I given time to read it. Hate this horrible place never ever going again .Christy MataykaPut a patient with severe panic disorder and PTSD in physical arm and leg restraints because she was upset with a security guard who then stood over her and taunted her. Never asked her preferred method of restraint. Used adhesive tape after verifying the patient was allergic to adhesive. Did not switch to paper tape after the patient and her advocate reminded them of this.: DBeen here several hours. Son came in with bad pain in his chest; EMT ruled it a panic attack, yet he had no fear, panic, or anxiety with it, tho admittedly it had calmed down once he got here, but still they did not treat it as anything serious. I think they have a total of three rooms, maybe one doctor. They say it will “be a while yet” before he can be seen. God help anyone who needs to be seen quickly, or is in great pain!! I think it would have been faster to go to Springfield, at least they have more rooms and doctors! Sadly, a call to Unity told me that their wait is 4-4.5 hours. I guess there is just no good place in the Peoria area!!Benjamin Clark⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSincerely thankful for the care provided to my son, Samuel. Forever grateful to everyone at OSF and the NICU. God bless you all.Grenoshi⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is one of the best hospitals in Illinois. Even though it’s very cramped, it’s still the best.Lori P.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIt’s a good hospital. It also has a St.Judes children’s hospital in it.Darrin PullleyI have made 3 trips to the osf er. On all 3 occasion my family member was park in a lobby that was overcrowded and left to sit for hours. You come to get help and are left in a waiting room where you pick up a second issue. Feel like I am in a 3rd world country. Th ey don’t deserve one starDawn VietaWaited 6+ hours with shortness of breath while patients that arrive to the ER after me got to see a doctor first. While they kept saying theyre still waiting on beds in the back. Seen them let patients leave who were mentally unfit. You be the judge.Anthony Lee⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent for swelling. They were kind. I don’t like needles and ivs and made sure I had a spray for my arm so I don’t feel anything. All I felt was prick. Casey the nurse did my iv.Betty KeithleyWas there 4 hours Thursday and never saw anyone. Was told it would probably be at least another few hours. I came home. Well the problem is worse now so I have to go back. Not fun.Alex HolmesThe worst hospital in Peoria my pregnant girlfriend has been up here for 3 hours with complication with the baby and she has not been seen at all. The receptionist told her over an hour ago that she only had 3 people ahead of her and then when I approached the desk she stated it was 10 people ahead of her.
