Before you go to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Baton Rouge emergency room think.
Jess BarWent here last night via instructions from a nurse I had called that said I needed to be seen within 30 minutes at an ER or I would get worse. I did not follow her recommendation and had a friend drive me instead of taking an ambulance. Boy what a mistake! I had symptoms similar to a stroke and was miserable, couldn’t walk, extremely weak and dizzy. It took 6 HOURS to see a doctor, who just gave me some medicine and referred me to another doctor. I was truly astonished to see an emergency room with 6 hour wait times and only 30 patients at its busiest. They did not even have enough wheelchairs and took it out from under me multiple times to transport other people. Absolutely insane. Never again.KedraBeen in the waiting with my 6 year old for 4 hours and still haven’t seen a doctor yet. I’m never coming back.. are there any better emergency rooms in Baton Rouge smhbhavin desaiMy friend has a big laceration, very bad cut on his middle finger but they make us wait too long even though asked to many time that patient having to much pain and feeling of loosing his consciousness.shaft gaines⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat service checking I’m! they all wanted to help me. The Nurse that checked me in was great at asking questions and trying to make sure that I was okay. My emergency room doctor took her time to make sure that I had the correct medical treatment. I would say “I look forward to coming back” however, who wants to be back in the emergency room?. If I ever need help, I’ll come back to here. I’m now a Our lady of the lake fan!. Bring all your medical services to the lake, it’s worth it!John Hunter⭐️⭐️My wife went in with an extreme toothache at 9:05pm in tears and at 10:30pm she still is setting in a now empty waiting room, now shacking and sobbing from the pain. This is the worst experience we have personally ever had with any place open to the public. I would recommend that if a person is in pain and needs to be seen relatively quickly that they proceed further to another emergency room or clinic. This facility is very very Very slow. Even without the presence of patients. This is completely ridiculous and rudely unprofessional. A bad experience all the way across the board.Peggy GregoryWas there yesterday afternoon with my granddaughter who has systemic jra since she was 11 months old. She is now 24 years old was having a flair up. The nurse practitioner and the doctor was very rude. Only the nurses were helpful. Will not go back again.kylie dersamThe triage nurse was nice, I couldn’t take my children back with me however. Doctors treated me like I was being a big baby just coming in for attention and the nurse was rude. Never going back.Joe Bison⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast for children to get in but not adults. Good service on time and polite.Felisha Gutierrez⭐️⭐️The long blonde curly haired physician’s assistant and the fat triage person beside her seem to think when people are telling what’s wrong and why they are there seem to think something’s funny and we’re laughing I don’t think anything is funny about someone being sick, then we went in the room for 2 hours and that is fine but then they put someone else in the room with us that was very sick running a temperature and has pneumonia and HIV and I have multiple sclerosis and I can’t be around anyone that’s sick because I don’t have an immune system and I told them that and it took them awhile to be able to get him out of the room ..a little too long…that was the 1st time the spouse ever been to an E.R here and our last at OLOL!!Romero WallaceManagement has no loyalty or humanity. Thought employees in hospital take.care of humans. A MHorrible the er staff is so lazy they sit around laughing while patients are waiting up to 2+ hours just to get seen they really need to do betterShane GodsoThe wait time in the ER is horrendous.
