Before you go to Park West, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Jacksonville emergency room think.
Cheneva Calloway⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAs soon as I walked in the building they were very nice I met a nice young lady named Jade at the front desk she help me she was very kind and sweet and nice and very helpful wish there were more people like her to help people in need very clean hospital very polite people you get in and out pretty quick love itAaliyah Gonzalez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI took my son to the hospital for a head laceration and they took great care of him. I needed additional assistance and spoke to the supervisor who’s name was Ali and he went above and beyond for me. I highly recommend this facility !Anthony HenryI wanna give a negative star. I myself have a throat and lympnodes infection. They are terrible the doctor was young and took a glance at my throat and say it’s swollen on side even that he looked over everything and I didn’t not get the necessary prescription for antibiotics to FIGHT A INFECTION NO PRESCRIPTION AT ALL WOW HOW AM I GONNA MAKE THE SWELLING GO DOWN THIS PLACE DOESNT TAKE the time to do things properly. Or correct I’m gonna be fighting this on my own.jonae’ jackson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMS.JADE WAS AMAZING! She really CARES for the patient! She has a beautiful soul , very patient and kind , I recently came in with the stomach virus and it was really hard not to focus on the pain , she came in with BIG SMILES , made me forget all about the pain . Please keep her!!! (Blonde streaks , pretty makeup, & glasses)alondra villarreal⭐️⭐️I’ve had never had a bad experience here, until I had a horrible nurse with smart comments toward me. Other than that everyone was friendly and was greeted well.Troy Waiters⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI Love My Visit Every time! Very Nice and Caring Staff!L A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast, friendly, compassionate, caring. From the RN that checks you in, to Steve, the ER nurse, & Erica, the ARNP…their amazing calming bedside manner with my anxious child was so helpful & calming. Jacob who handles the paperwork was professional & very nice. This has to be one of the best experiences ever in a medical facility! Thank you!!jovon JacksonThis was the worst place to go to , I came In because my head was throbbing very badly. Atleast 6 nurses came to my room and asked the exact same question and I waited a hour just to get a morpheme shot that didn’t even work . I automatically felt my head throbbing again soon as I walked out . I woke up this morning in very bad painTracy Allen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This time our visit was amazing. Our RN was Jennifer Meggs. She took such great care of my boyfriend who stepped on a rusty roofing nail. She made sure he was comfortable, we had drunks, gave him a snack to take his meds . she is an amazing nurse ans a very caring person. Thank you Jennifer. You need a raisePhil HintonThe wait was fine and I got in there quickly but however when the doctor finally showed up he made me feel like a crackhead and like I was pain pill searching with a torn ACL that has been confirmed by two other Doctors… all I was trying to do is get some pain medication to last for 2 days until I went to Jacksonville orthopedic and I work for the government but he made me feel like I was searching for pills and talked to me horribly and made me feel like an idiot and then with the nurse returns she was not very nice at all like I did something wrong!!! I guess that’s what I get for going somewhere on the West side anymoreRaven ElderIf I could rate this place ZERO stars I would!! The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a medical center. They get you in a room quick just to satisfy you and make you think you will be quickly taken care of. Far from the truth! After your put in a room you are there for an hour before talked to, then it takes 3 hours for anything to be done. Not only that, I overheard some of the doctors talking poorly about some of the older patients! I was shocked!! The most unprofessional facility I’ve been to!!Margery Flannagan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThank you Caroline Smith, PA, for taking such great care of my husband last week.Eric Sanchez⭐️⭐️I will never go to park west is the worst hospital in jacksonvilleShakira ColemanI will not be back here. I had to go to Baptist North. This hospital is full of unhappy nurses and doctors. They just want to push you out the door. I can in for chest pain, shortness of breath, head tightening and real bad abdominal pain. The Doctor told me they DO NOT to test to check your abdomen which is a complete lie! They refuse me services and I just walked out without speaking to registration. They always tell you what they can’t do in the ER and I’m just baffled that she told me they don’t scan your abdomen, when I have a friend who went to a different hospital and they scan and checked her abdomen in the ER. They just lie out the side of their mouths and talk sh*t. They will say anything to get you out the door.adfasdfas sdfasdfsadf⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad dizziness, and palpitations. They gave me an iv on suspicion that I wad dehydrated. All day I couldnt stand for long with out getting dizzy and heart spiraling out of control. Ive been pacing the waiting room waiting for my ride. I am just happy Im not feeling like falling over.Dynetta John⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff was awesome they showed me that they care and was concerned. 2 upMel A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My wife and I went in because I was having some chest pains and I was thoroughly impressed was how we were treated up until it was time to depart. At that point the discharge nurse was very rude and I almost want to say racist but I don’t know how she reacts with other people. But I found everyone else to be accommodating and they calmed my fears quickly and we’re very professional about finding out my problem. Like I said, the only problem I had was with the discharge nurse and I won’t say her name on a public platform.Dianne Holloway⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBy far the best ER experience ever. Timing was awesome. The staff was very nice. Thank you for taking good care of my grandson. For The Love Of SoccerWas in a serious car accident and the ambulance brought me here. As soon as I came in on the stretcher they flashed a light in my eyes and literally 15 minutes later discharged me without any other workup. My friend picked me up in the parking lot and took me to an actual hospital and my injuries were found on X-ray. I’m convinced this place just wanted the insurance money because that’s all they asked me about. They didn’t seem to realize I had been in a head on collisionYaqub Battle⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery fast, friendly and helpfulTammy Brown⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️By far the best ER experience ever. Timing was awesome. The staff was very nice. Thank you for tking care of my son.Terriare Coster⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy wife went in for abdominal pain, in the ER 15 minutes before taking her back for ultrasound. Staff very friendly and Dr was great! Thanks for caring.O2⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had a great experience at this facility. I went in for a car accident and waited no more than 10 minutes. The doctor informed me about possible injuries and next steps. I was given heater blankets and was checked on periodically. I stayed a total of 3 hours and was well taken care of.Michael Mewhorter⭐️⭐️⭐️Front staff was fairly unwelcoming and slightly rude. Unprofessional. Nurse who took me in was much better. Doctor seemed knowledgeable and friendly. Would be a 4.5 if front staff didn’t remind me of a fast food restaurant.#dronelifejose #dronelifejoseJust as bad as orange park hospital they have plenty of staff but all they do is sit and dont tend to the patients if i could i would sue them just wish someone or the bbb would do something..Johnny Lammons⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI found the posted wait times based upon my arrival time to be accurate. Parking lot was nearly full, but adequate to the task. Waiting room was noisy, but safe. There is a friendly Police Officer on duty and visible. I was greeted within 30 seconds upon my arrival. Check in was extremely simple. I was made VERY comfortable (a bed with warmed blankets) and being attended to within 25 minutes after check-in. I was immediately impressed by the attentiveness and number of staff that smoothly coordinated efforts in a flowing and continually moving effort. EACH, let me reiterate that, EACH AND EVERY STAFF MEMBER performed a superb and professional job. I do not think more than twenty minutes went by at any time that someone did not check on me or update me as things proceeded smoothly forward. I never felt rushed, but I did feel like, wow! I am a priority at being taken care of here! At each point, what was being done was explained to me so that I was not left in the dark. It is to my regret that my physical state at the time left me with less than a perfect review in my minds eye of the names of the wonderful healthcare workers at this facility. For that I apologize to this SUPERB staff. I can say that Denise I think was one, yes one of the numerous RN’s…………..and she diligently performed the run of the mill line work. I think Amber was the kindly Physician’s Assistant who was especially caring and kind. I tried to remember the Doctor’s name, but again, I was not at my best. I will say he had the best bedside demeanor of any Doctor that I have ever met in my life. It is to my regret that I cannot remember his name. He has a comfortable, down to earth manner and is an excellent communicator. The CT Technician was also someone who explained everything and had his own professional and caring personality. I was the recipient of multiple tests, and the beneficiary of what was learned from those tests, and yet, I think I was there for a scant 3.5 hours. Checkout was simply done from my room. I even asked didn’t they forget anything, and the reply was what? And I said payment! And the reply was Patient Services came by, right? They will send it to you in the mail! In the end I was given the diagnosis, a referral, prescriptions, and left the Park West ER feeling that this was the best medical facility I have every been to. Then, the following day, I received a follow-up telephone call checking on me from Park ER West! It left me wondering why are not all medical facilities following the premier example of Park ER West?Shawn CrawfordMy wife dislocated her arm on Christmas Day, only a few days ago. I called rescue as there was nothing I could do and she was brought here to have it reset. This is a 1 star review because of what they put her through. She has a history of having it dislocate and every time in the past it has been simple to reset, put her to sleep, and it goes back in place in minutes. I don’t know if they gave her anything to deaden the pain, but who could tell when she’s screaming bloody murder? Don’t get this confused, this is not a “they didn’t give us any pain medicine” type of review, by all means, keep reading. She screamed in ways I did not know was possible. I could understand if it took 5 minutes. It’s a dislocation, you’re gonna feel pain. I could maybe understand 10 minutes. But it took 45 MINUTES while she screamed unimaginable noises. People were coming by and looking as I stood outside the room. That’s way too long. Without any context, I would’ve thought they were removing her arm! Words cannot describe to you what I heard that day, in my worst nightmares about being tortured, I sound just like my wife did that day. Not just as the husband, but as a fellow medical professional, this pains me to no end. We are sworn to the hippocratic oath to do no harm. In the end he reset the shoulder. But at what cost? If the harm done makes me seriously question the procedure, you’re doing something wrong. Why not stop and figure out a better way? Why not take a few minutes to rethink your approach and try again? This is modern medicine, not the 1700s. We don’t butcher people! Dr King should lose his license for what he did. And if you think the Joint Commission won’t hear about this, you got another thing coming.Kissy MackeySteve will be so rude and sarcastic. Spoke to my child with total disrespect. No bedside manner at this place AT ALL!!!!!!Tammy CarterWorst ER around! They refuse my 8 year old child treatment after his doctors sent him straight to the emergency room for possible life threatening conditions. On the way to another hospital now, I will be filing a lawsuit against Orange Park medical for refusal of care. This place needs to be shut down!Allie Theobald⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey were so good with my husband this evening Dr Davis and nurse Janine were fantastic. They took a lot of time to explain everything answered all of our questions never seemed rushed. I would recommend this er to anyone we felt very well cared forPower Wagon BrianMy wife came in for a 5 day old migraine. She checked in around 4:30 she went to do a urine sample and she heard them call her name. She came out of the restroom went to the front desk and said she heard someone call her name. The lady at the front desk told her it was probably registration. Well over a hour later after several people that came in after her where getting called back she went back up and asked what was taking so long. Come to find out they did call her and the thought she had left when she was in the restroom giving a urine sample. So we finally get in a room see the Dr and the order her four medications. Well over a hour later still had yet to get her medicine. Then they switched shifts and put someone else’s in on our screen in the room we where in. While the are switching shifts or whatever several employees where yelling about drinking whiskey and everything else and they had half the patients in the wrong rooms. I’m not saying it’s not ok to have fun at work but when it sounds like a circus show there has to be a line drawn somewhere. So finally over 3 hrs later she got her meds. Will not be back here agin.Jennifer Peterson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat staff, Kim was awesome. Dr. King was great too! All the staff was attentive and expedient to my son’s sliced finger. I would recommend this place in any emergency situation. X-ray & 6 stitches in less than an hour and 15min. Thank you for your hard work & dedication to helping others. Christina PenceStaff was very efficient. In and out in an hour only talked to nurses. Place is a bandage station. They will stabilize the patient and send them on to their primary. Beware if you hurt yourself or really need help medically. They don’t want to spend a lot of time with you. Especially if you are uninsured. They don’t care if your blood pressure is high or there is blood in your urine. They just tell you to see your primary.Yarsnia BellamyRecently visited Park West . About lower Back Pain , and lower abdominal pain, sharp pain in my left side, very late menstrual cycle almost 4weeks now and the test was negative . everything WAS NORMAL but how when im in so much pain still , i really feel as if they are not helping i was there from 12-4:30 just to be told i was (FINE) with a prescription of ibuprofen 800 … CAT scan and Blood work but Everything was fine i just don’t understandLa’Kesha Lou’s Diaries⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLet me just say that i absolutely love this emergency room!!! I had to take my step son there and every single person was soooo kind to us and treated my lil baby so sweet! One lady tgat really stood out to me was and older woman mrs. Patty i belive omg!!! Super sweet just like a momma would treat you. Loved her!!! And the officer even came in to see mason and i got a really sweet picture of them two togeather. Just love seeing our officers show kids the tender side. Loved it!!! Definitely recommend it to anyone in need of some good help Nisha LewisThese people horrible attitudes. They are extremely racist here just like orange park medical! They treat you like animals. I’d rather die on the way to baptist than be rushed here! Never again!Miss EvaI presented with chest pain (intermittent), which gave way to a full blown blood pressure emergency while in their care ( BP 200/100 and 190/100 I had to ask for the BP reading). I also had severe anxiety, a bad headache, sweating, and shortness of breath in addition to the chest pain. They told me that the chest pain “could have been caused by the BP spike” and I should see my primary care physician to get on meds for my BP. I also have an ICD/pacemaker and I was referred to my cardiologist. This took hours (too long) for them to brush me out the door, never once checking on me to see if I had chest pain again (which I did multiple times while I was sitting there many hours, for the most part…. unattended). So instead of admitting me to the ICU and doing further testing (something all websites state they should have done) they decreased my blood pressure rapidly (another thing they shouldn’t have done in a hypertensive emergency) with Metropol, gave me chewable asprin and sent me out the door with a referral to my PCP and cardiologist. They didn’t even show me the exit, just said have a nice day hope you feel better. Also, I’m not sure if they are aware of this or not but patients are people who have feelings. Talking badly about them behind their back to where they can hear almost every word they’re gossiping about them and other patients around them is not only highly unprofessional, but unethical too. Won’t be back. I give them zero stars! Note to owner: I write this review not as an invitation to apologize or refer me to the number to call to discuss this experience further (as I noticed you do in most cases of bad reviews), but as a warning to other people to stay away from this ER.Tim RossStay away …they will lie right to your face.Michelle Gipe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe greatest staff, very prompt n caringwould recommend to everyonrMike’s cannabis reviews in Florida⭐️⭐️⭐️My autistic brother went their tonight to get a ring removed that was stuck on his finger, they took 4 hours to get it off, they said why did we bring him their the ambulance has tools on board to cut rings off but the ambulance that came out didn’t have the tool they apparently forgot to back it from what the driver said and so we had to go to the er and I will say they did a ok job because my brother has the mind of a child and can be handful at times but they should totally be prepared for stuff like this.one more thing my mother had to argue with the nurse because they was trying to give him a tranquilizer instead of something to just help him relax so after a hour of that they finally gave him ativan and he was relaxed enough to get the ring cut off but I had to finish cutting the ring for the doctorJakyia AlayjaThis place has horrible service. They act like they don’t care about the patient if it isn’t to their importance level. They sit around the desk and talk and laugh. They don’t act with a sense of urgency at all. I don’t recommend this place.Darrell Ashley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDarrell Ashley visited Park West er 32210 on Wednesday December 26,2018 for a life and death asthma attack woke up chest felt really tight as hell too the point where I couldn’t talk or walk and I came in to this facility at 10:00 a.m. signed in too the kiosk system and described what kind of asthma attack I was having and I was in the back in room number 2 under six minutes and had been taken care of resoectly by the staff and i i receiv the correct amount of treatment here as well and I highly recommend this facility too anyone who has a emergency because we as the patients make a difference and the doctors and nurses also makes a huge difference by treating each patient to the best of the knowledge and this is way better location for me than orange Park medical center because I live like 13 minutes from this place and people this is not a bad emergency room whatsoever and yes this location is always open which is good so please be patient when yoi vsiit this location because the staff always has more than oje patient too attend too and I can keep going but going too leave it like this and this location is always busy and people don’t be getting mad if you are not taken care of right then because they try hard too see everyone that comes in there doors and Jacksonville sheriff’s office is always here so there is protection if you a victim of any crime and people if yoir rude with the staff they always can turn you away as each business has legal rights too refuse any patient anytime anywhere….Robert Bodiford⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy grandson is 25 days old and was running a 101 degree fever. I have never seen doctors and nurses react and act so fast to help someone as they did my grandson. Within 30 minutes they had an ambulance on the way, tests being ran, him stabilized, and him admitted into the hospital so that when the ambulance go us to the hospital we went straight to the PICU. I would like to say thank you to the entire staff there.Patrice Woodson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad an excellent care experience here at park west ER. On my second visit I got to the right Provider AND SHE ROCKED all the nurses were amazing and I feel 100% better.Thank you soo much ladies keep it up. Will definitely return if I need to.Richard F.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great people, fast service, high volumeJennifer Parker⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy fiance has several chronic issues. We came here because he was vomiting for 15 hours straight. We were checked in, and in a room in 15 minutes. We saw the doctor within 45 minutes. Everyone was kind and patient. He is a hard stick, but they managed to get the IV inserted on just the second try even with him severely dehydrated. The doctor ACTUALLY LISTENED to him. We live on the other side of the city, but we’ll be coming back here next time he needs help. Also, the charge nurse, Leilani, is awesome. She swooped in, and trained another nurse on a procedure being done. She knows her stuff.Kay Jay⭐️⭐️Came in at 2 AM after a car accident and waited by the glass, staff looked at me and looked away and continued talking. Checked in at the kiosk after ringing the bell multiple times and being ignored. Another staff member came in the front door and walked past us and got on her cell phone. Finally an officer leaving the facility told them on their way out that they have a patient waiting and all they said bluntly “We know. I see 2 people out there and only 1 check in”. The second person was my wife who was there as support. After they took me back the woman checking me in was very rude and made comments about “if you’re only sore then you can still go to your orientation for work, you’d only be sitting if it’s orientation, right?” My wife informed her that my car is not in good enough condition to make that trip. Then as the doctor asked me what medication I’m taking and I was in the middle of answering him, she cut us both off and very rudely asked me “well what is that for?!” The doctor and X-ray tech have been great. But given the opportunity and the car, I’d rather have driven the distance with my wrecked car to a different er. If it weren’t for the doctor and the X-ray tech I would’ve walked out and dealt with the painSabrina Smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThay r wonderfulAndrea YoungI wish that I could give this place zero stars. The staff at this ER are the most unprofessional, unsympathetic, miserable, and I could go on and on. When someone is going through a traumatic experience, the last thing a medical staff should do is make jokes about their patients and belittle them. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. You have left emotional scars on my loved one. I have been here myself for stomach issues and when I tried letting the nurse know what I thought was going on, she had an attitude and asked if I had actually heard that from a doctor or the internet. No, I have an extensive family history of the same issue. And I was right! But anyways, if you care about yourself or your loved one, go somewhere else. Oh, and to the nurse that made the joke about the great full dead, you are a miserable person and I don’t understand why you are in this profession if you feel the need to make fun of your patients to staff where they can clearly hear you. My loved one was very aware of everything that went on during her stay. She cried for days and couldn’t understand that when she went to this place for help, why she was treated so badly. No wonder why your ratings are so bad. This place is a JOKE. I warn everyone to stay away from this ER. I would take my complaint further in this situation but I know that nothing would come of it. So, people of Jacksonville, stay away from this hell hole. If you’re gonna get charged an arm and a leg for medical care, might as well be at a place that treats you like a human being.lisa LarsonMy son was seen by PA Caroline Smith for back pain & bruising, NOT trsuna-related. She fought doing anything for him, even labs, despite the fact that he & his girlfriend told her head been taking massive amounts of Tylenol. All she did was an x-ray & a urinalysis. The UA showed BLOOD in his urine, but she NEVER addressed this with him! She merely told him he had s back sprain, gave him muscle relaxers & sent him on his way. She said that he probably needed more labs done & an MRI, but he would have to take that up with his Primsry Physician. This DESPITE the fact she was told numerous times that he DOESN’T HAVE a PCP. No matter what they said, she brushed them off. NEVER did they see a REAL DOCTOR, despite asking numerous times. We WILL be filing s formal complaint against the PA, the ER & whatever Doctor was supposedly overseeing her. DO NOT go there EVER!!!! STAY AWAY!!!Alexis ShanteThe worst Place To Take Someone I don’t get a What was The point In building It Here . Brought My Brother Here And I Will never Bring Any Of My Family Or Kids Here So unprofessional they just want you in and out they don’t care if you get better or notJennifer WilliamsThis place needs to be torn down they have no idea what they are doing will def not go backBria Joyce⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff and nurses were great. Nurse Trishann is amazing and explains everything before she does it. She even gave my daughter a doll to take home.vanessa rossHorrible bedside manner. They just want to get u out the door. Been here 2 times with my daughter they said she was fine both times wound up having strep throat and hand foot mouthmike StanleyExtremely slow, and poorly managed.. was called 3 separate times before I was given a room. Then waited another 2 and a half hours.. meth heads got their days fiend faster than I was seen.. 5 in a half hrs total still sitting in roomGloria Turner⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ve had 4 family members go thru there. They offer very quick service. There is some waiting but nothing like other ERs. Just know if you have to be transported to a hospital they will only take you to Orange Park Medical Center. (they are a part of that hospital)Amy Thompson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came here some time last year.come to find out I didn’t know that I had a UTI.The Dr told me I was a very sick girl, and if I hadcof waited any longer I could have been dead.come to find out I also had Ecoli. They transported me to Orange Park medical center to a floor just above the icu.they took care of me very well at 103rd.and at Orange park medical center orange park.I’d choose them over Babyish north any day of the week.they suck 100%Ian Dale⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff was very pleasant and handled my situation direct and gave me all the information I needed.
