Parkland Medical Center Reviews

Before you go to Parkland Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Derry emergency room think.

Cammi Kotulak⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had surgery at Parkland one week ago. Feeling great! I am so impressed and grateful for the impeccable care I received from the moment I was admitted to my discharge the next day. Love the team of amazing caregivers at Parkland!Lori Beverage⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy whole appointment, from parking to registration/check-in to the appointment and check-out, was wonderful. The Doctor was really personable and made me feel at ease. She answered all my questions, and took her time with me. She never made me feel like she was rushing me to get through things. Great Doctor, great office staff, great location.Jeffery Monti⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEasily setup an appointment via telephone with Dr. Patel for a medical consultation. Dr. Patel came highly rated via online reviews which were right on the money. Dr. Patel along with the medical and office staff were excellent and great to work with. In my opinion they offer a top rate medical center and services. Highly recommended. Thanks for the read.dude bro⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy wife had a broken hip replaced. It was a great experience from her nurse Sarah to Ann who arranged her transfer to a rehab facility. The surgeon was also great as my wife required very little pain medication afterwards. My wife ate just about everything they served her even though the first meals were not of her choice. Family/friends who visited commented favorably on the level of care she received. Overall I would give this five stars. I know I was treated well here also several years ago when I had to stay for care.Loriana Evelyn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy Mom had outpatient foot surgery and we were so impressed by the caring, professional and very courteous staff from the time we entered the building until the very end. We are grateful for having chosen this hospital which reflects the true meaning of healthcare in every little detail, something quite rare nowadays especially in this area. Keep up the great work, Team Amazing, with Nurse Antonella as the very best!!!Jeanine Dexter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The staff was very helpful. They had a sense of making one feel as comfortable as possible. I found them to be caring and professional. Was pleasantly surprised!patricia weir⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff and nurses were very professional, helpful, and kind. They were the whole package. It is obvious this medical organization has done whatever it takes to instill a since of stability and confidence to its patients.Steve Goodwin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe care I received was exceptional as I was being diagnosed. The nursing staff was phenomenal as they were caring and very professional. The food was great with options for any mood.Anthony DeFruscio⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFelt very comfortable for my procedure. The staff made me comfortable and very informative of what was going to be done. I would highly recommend the Parkland Medical center.Paula Concannon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain. Check in was simple and I was taken in within minutes. I received excellent care! Doctor and nurses were very nice and I was quickly diagnosed. Thank you!!!Katie Bergeron⭐️⭐️So sorry to give a poor review. This BUSINESS needs to improve in several ways. You are dealing with people LIVES and word of mouth spreads like wildfire. It’s going to take time to rebuild your business reputation. I’ve had HORRIBLE service in the past. On a positive note; the business HAS IMPROVED SOME recently. Please consider getting more PAID patient advocates. We NEED this for complex cases AND we need someone experienced. Please find me on linked-in if you are interested in more feedback. Katie Bergeron.Judy Thompson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The staff is inexhaustible, up beat, they have humor and patience. The room was cold, but it was March, I was on the west side of the building, and the windows leaked air like a sieve. Food, average. The care, superb. You ask a question, they explain. And you are made to feel part of the process, which is sometimes lacking in a hospital setting, especially when you’re among the over 70 group. I’d recommend them in a heart beat.Windham Academy Being left alone in the room is never comforting, yet having someone come in to take me for a CAT scan and they enter the room with a cold-sounding, “Name?” I guess this was their way of saying, “Hi! How are you feeling today? My name is:__ and I’m here to take you for a CAT scan. Any questions for me before we head out?”… Instead, they asked for my name and didn’t say anything until we reached the room for testing. Great bedside manner…. why work with people if you don’t communicate with them?David Vela⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thankfully it was late night and there wasntbmuch action happening in the E.R. everyone was friendly and attentive. Although in the end it was nothing serious for the visit I truly was impressed with the overall service. Granted I had to wait for lab results but the wait time seemed a bit excessive. Thank you P.M.C.Mary Stirk⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is the best and most wonderful hospital anyone should ever want to be in. They are caring, compassionate and truly miracle workers. I would not go to another hospital now that I have found these wonderful people. God bless each and every one of you for the care and compassion you have shown me and my family.Donna Indelicato⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff at the Parkland/Lahey medical office center on Birch Street is terrific! Hats off to receptionist Deb, who is so genuinely kind, understanding and helpful!Dennis Colameta⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy experience with the surgical team at Parkland was very comforting. The preop and postop team was very nice, explaining as much of the process as I wanted to know, and kept my husband informed of the progress. A very warm and personally attentive team.Robert Yelle⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was fast-tracked for my registration. That was a good thing. Actually, It was all good. The receptionist was very pleasant and prepared to greet me. I was there for an ultrasound and the technician was personable and courteous. I have nothing to complain about for this appointment.Kerry Bacheller⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAll of the staff were Efficient and professional start to finish. They took great care of my husband.Pegabutt Don’t come in with questions or else they’ll give you the boot before you get answers. My boyfriend got stabbed by about 30 needles in both arms in under two days without a clear answer of why. And don’t go there saying you’re a drinker with liver issues as your detox will only be 3 days if even. “Closely monitoring the condition” is recommending AA. Just AA for any situation. Always AA if you drink. Update: My boyfriend is even more unwell after being there. As if I wasn’t already worried and without answers, questioning even the sanitary protocol of their rooms.Nora Marshall⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy Mom was treated like a Queen.. Great passion staff who really love what they do. Food was good and hospital kept clean. Thank you for all your hard work. . DaughterEllen Digby⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have also been treated so well at Parkland Medical Center. The staff is amazing from the front desk to the doctors and nurses. Thank youVilma Gonzalez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOne more time is amazing the change at Parkland medical Center:first the staff;the very helpful and Kind. The doctor and nurses take the time to listen to you and helps in wherever the patient needs.make you feel part off Parkland family.thanks again to all Parkland staffs.melissa addonizio⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedive never had any bad experience with parkland, they took great care of my daughter when she has an acute food reaction and they took all great measures and insuring my daughter will be OK. Thank youKen Hewitt⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSelf check-in tablet, which helped to free up staff to expedite patients in the waiting room to their appointments, in an efficient manner. It was a pleasant experience, more so than years ago, for there was not a long wait time; and the waiting room was more comfortable.Chris D⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedPositive experience, Great staff and medical personnel. Efficient operation.Chuck Zappala⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCheck-in was quick and easy. My appointment started on time and the doctor spent a lot of time with me answering all my questions.Elaine Jordan Went into the ER for a bad rash that would not go away. The ER doctor just looked at it and didn’t even run a culture test. He gave me one dose of prednisone, a antihistamine and a steroid cream. So I followed his institutions, two days later the rash had spread under my bra line, under my arms, all over my stomach and on my inner thighs. It spread so bad my skin is all red, infected with pus, and has blistered in infected areas. I am in extreme pain everytime I move and it is affecting my daily routine at work and at home.Alan Renny⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCheck in was easy. Didn’t have to wait long to be taken in for my scans.Paul Sullivan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIt was a comfortable pleasant experience from being offered coffee and girls at front desk were very friendlySunita Shirodkar I visited Parkland Medical Center in Stiles Road, Salem way back in late spring 2019. I had seasonal allergies and was seen by a nurse practitioner. They took my temperature and checked BP which I could also do at home. They also took a swab test which is a very common and inexpensive test and then gave me a pill for immediate relief. I bought a bottle of pills at the pharmacy later that day for $15. However a month later I got a bill for $812 of which my insurance covered ~$300. I asked for an itemized bill and saw that the visit itself was $440. Anyhow I contacted the billing department to pay the amount and verified that there was nothing else due and paid the total. Now after 5 months of my visit, I got another bill for $512 for the services provided by the nurse practitioner!!!!! I mean honestly this is robbery in broad daylight. I would discourage anyone from going there to treatment unless you can afford their huge bills!!!!!! Seriously if it costs $1300-$1400 for treating season allergies, what must they be doing for something that is severe in nature? I or my family is never going there ever again.Lesli Isaac⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was very impressed by the staff. The care giving was unmatched!Jim Moro⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe Doctor and surgical staff was excellent. I couldn’t believe how many team members cared for me….excellent experience.Haeyoon Jacobus⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis place always has been staffed with very caring people. They may not be the largest hospital in the area, but they will always be my first choice. I gave birth to my two children here over 30 years ago, and I think I’ll have my later years of life needs taken care of here. Absolutely no frequent visits..lolRandolph Carter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The whole process was very vague. How long? Institutional rehab? How long in rehab? Discharge criteria? Home care? Home mods? Talk to your patients!Edward Brady⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNo complaints at all! Clean. Everything done timely. No long waits in ER, Radiology. Cardiology/nuclear medicine super professional and knowledgeable. Nurses, lab staff, dietary and housekeeping all pleasant.Steve Flannigan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad a recent procedure done with Granite State Gastro, Doctor McLean was the attending physician. He and his staff were great to be a part of their work. Fully explained every aspect of the procedure. Friendly crew from start to finish. I received follow up calls and directions on next steps to take during the next couple days. I feel they take a hands on approach to patient care to ensure you are aware of all your options and have the guidance to make the best decision that is right for you.Tom Cooper⭐️⭐️⭐️Sorry to say the ER diagnosis as result of chest X-ray was incorrect. No symptoms of lung congestion was the complaint and reason for visit. Pnumonia diagnosis resulted in strong antibiotics administered. Follow up 2 days later with PCP and another chest X-ray showed no sign of pnumonia. Long time supporter of PMC ER, now much concern.Frank Keane⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Visit and pulmonary test was fantastic. Friendly and pleasant staff. Very efficient. Nice facilities. Would be 5 stars except for sign in. It’s om a tablet that you pick up at reception. No visible instructions and no tablets at time I was checking in. Pleasant staff member noticed my confusion, got me a tablet and rest was easy.Eric Leuteritz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy wife had a procedure at Parkland Medical a few weeks ago. Everyone did a fantastic job. Communication was excellent. The nurses were outstanding. Everything went very well. I highly recommend Parkland!Joe C⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDr. Loosmann and the Nurses in the OR were great. I received exceptional care for my procedure. Everyone was comforting while keeping a great sense of humor.Nick Ferro Went after being diagnosed with diabetes and discovering my levels were extremely high. Several blood tests and urine tests were done and the results were never given to me, I had to go back and demand them and was given an attitude by the staff when doing so. No clear explanation of next steps for me or what to do, nor did they explain what type I was diagnosed with. I will never set foot in this hospital againMarcy McWilliams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe nurses were particularly caring and helpful.J Savy⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI recently had a CT Scan w/contrast. My experience with Ann Marie was phenomenal! She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and a major asset to this facility! She deserves to be recognised and rewarded for her work! Thamk you so much for your kind, considerate and professional attention! Grateful and appreciative- Joanne S.D F⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat diabetes workshop. Very informative.Mitzy Girl Horrible experience. Lack of professionalism at all levels of care. Staff talks about patients and private information at the desk where everyone can hear. My bathroom wasn’t working.. no sink no soap. I wasn’t allowed my own clothing for 2 days because they hadn’t washed it. Was freezing cold and given the same blanket I had in ER. Was throwing up non stop and never checked on even when they did bed checks. Was yelled at and accused of refusing meds because I was throwing up. Doctors over medicated me to the point I collapsed. I was let on the cold floor on a red bean bag in a locked room until the medication started to wear off. I was freezing cold and no one even checked on me except the dr who kept insisting this was what my body needed. They treat you like animals in a cage. Don’t leave your loved ones there. There’s a reason for short visiting hours so you don’t see how bad it isJohn Herrholz I was an ER patient at Parkland Medical Center in Derry on Sunday September 29th. When I arrived at the ER, there was no receptionist to check me in, the self check-in station was broken, so I waited in the waiting area for the triage nurse to finish with a patient ahead of me. Once assigned a room the nurse started off by apologizing for the wait, and for what will be delayed care, as there were only 2 nurses filling a 5 nurse schedule. The provider I saw did not have a name badge on, so I don’t know if she was a Nurse Practitioner, a Physician’s Assistant or an MD. Total time in the ER (with a CT scan) was almost 5 hours. The nurse was rude, and dismissive. He had the treatment skills of a linebacker. The next time I need care of this scale, I will go to a “Real” hospitalMeaghan Casey First of all, 0 stars. Not to be dramatic but I will never in my entire life go here again. If it was a life or death situation, I’d surely be dead. I was rushed in through ambulance for severe back pain. They didn’t look at me nor touch me ONCE the entire time I was there, just shot my up with loads of pain medications then sent me out the door. I physically couldn’t walk and was in agonizing pain. Went to a REAL hospital to find out I have herniated discs that are pressing against my spinal cord….so thanks Parkland !! 🙂Harold Kozlowski⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedImpressed by the level of service and care I received at Parkland. At every level. Nurses especially went out of the their way to ensure I was cared for. Highly recommended.Susan Jannino I entered the ER with a fever and feeling weak at 4PM. Sign out front said 7 minute wait. I sat at the admissions desk and waited to be acknowledged by the dark haired lady behind the computer. I was not. A nice woman behind her told me I needed to sign in at the kiosk. She then asked if I would like help. I said yes and she took my license and then told me the kiosk was broken but that I would be the next one seen. I didn’t have the energy to leave where I was so I put my head on the counter and waited. They called the next patient from behind me in the waiting area and when I said I thought I was next, the lady behind the computer said to me, “I don’t know what your deal is.” The other woman spoke up for me and said I was next. I then waited for another 10 minutes before being moved to the triage nurse. After having my temp and blood pressure taken I was told I’d be waiting in an area outback. I asked if I could possibly lie down as I was not feeling well. After a big huff, Joey got me a room with a gurney. I then said, “I know I’m being a pain but could I please have a blanket.” Joey said, “Yes, you are,” and walked away without giving me a blanket. The treatment beyond that was a lot of waiting with no explanations. I was told at 7PM that I was going to be admitted. I finally was moved to a room at 9PM. Horrible experience and I will drive to Manchester next time I need to be seen in an ER! No one from the hospital called to follow up either or else I would have told them to their face!Hannah Barry⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had both of my children here, and the experience with the nurses and doctors have been wonderful.Paul Quebec⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFriendliest staff I’ve ever dealt with.Don Doughty⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Parkland Medical Center (named after the adjacent Alexander Park) is [ Just the right size ] full service, (ER, Cath-Lab, C-Rehab, Respiratory, Ortho and a full service Caffiteria), HCA Hospital, Unlike several nearby Hospitals I find few ‘traveling’ nurses and they have a strong QA department, (see other reviews), and many of the staff have served for over ten years, which improves the level of care. Every season they have an employee art contests, here are photos from the last one…Lilly Carlson Absolutely horrendous. My family member was bleeding profusely as he cut an artery (a true emergency). My mother was panicked as it was scary and went to the wrong door and instead of helping the receptionist and others inside just watched and laughed, which is disgusting. They then took him and when my mother walked in after the lady at the desk had the audacity to say to my mother “wrong door? tsk tsk tsk”. Even retelling the story horrifies me as this was an EMERGENCY, we had no choice but to go here and this is how they treat my family? Seems like a common theme here patients are disrespected. If we had the time to travel 20 minutes more we would have, but we didn’t. So thank you to those doctors who did care for my family member, but I have no respect for those others.Darlene Beaudry⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDr’s and Nurses were friendly, helpful, did every test they possibly could, I am very please with their help and all they didDavid DesRoches⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedPleasant staff, convenient location, was treated promptly, all good.Joe Chamberlain⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️fast service and friendly Dr and nurses.Keep coming back there which is easy to get there and never a long waitAlfred Lafreniere⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery caring and kept all promises, food needs a lil improvement but hey it’s a hospital not olive gardenMary Manter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedProfessional, caring staff from the office check in all the way up to the doctors. “Going under” even for a short basic procedure can be scary/unsettling, but the anesthesiologist was very compassionate and made me feel safe and well cared for while I was sedated.Denise A⭐️⭐️⭐️My experience was very good. All the nurses except one were fabulous. I felt that the Doctor was caring and thorough. I liked that the nurse leader checked in daily and asked if I had any issues I wanted to discuss. -1 star for the smug nurse and -1 star for my bed lacking a privacy curtain in a shared room which proved to have an embarassing moment for me.Peter Stockbower⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was efficiently and kindly treated: thank youBill Perry⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI am always very pleased at the care at this Parkland Medical Center Urgent Care in Salem NH. Tonight both my mother and I had to go there for care. Melinda at the check in, Holly Cabell the NP and Anna the nurse are super and very highly recommend them. This is not the first time that we have had care from them. Friendly, caring and are always superbly helpful. They are very good at caring for my elderly mother and are extremely patient and helpful with her. There are several Urgent Care centers near by, but would urge anyone in the Methuen MA or southern NH area to come here if care is needed.Gina Vega⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was taken in immediately and administered several tests, had blood taken, and received medication and instructions for further care. The MD who saw me was organized, credible, and pleasant. The RN (Mark) was super…relaxed and competent.Despite my distress, I felt very well cared for.jamie petersen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had an excellent experience here, i havent been here in years and before that it was not good, but i needed to go to the hospital and there wait time online was only a few minutes, from the moment i walked into the hospital i was greeted and taken right back my er nurse was amazing the doctor i had was great the staff were all very nice, they got me comfortable. I ended up being admitted and needing surgery. and from the registration lady down to the housekeeping since i was there 2 day were all amazing, friendly. If i need to ever go back to a hospital i will definitely go back there. They had done a complete 360.katieablez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had the best care starting from coming into the main entrance to leaving after my surgery. Thank You!Anne Mayo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was at the Salem office for an Oncology checkup…everything was fine..steve devine⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was referred to the Parkland Hospital by a surgeon I went to for a followup. I had a huge cyst that was infected and inflamed on my spine. He called ahead to Parkland ER, and when I got there, the Staff got right to work to remove and pack the incision…They recommended I follow up with Wound Care who were also absolutely fantastic! Parkland gets five stars in my book; they took care of that cyst in record time, as opposed to my Primary Care doctor, who kept putting me off…it’s history now, my wound is healing nicely, and God Bless the people at Parkland ER, My Surgeon, and the Wound Center! Highly recomended! and TY all so much…it’s nice to be able to sit back, or lay on my back without intense pain….Gin Sacca⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery kind and caring staff. Kept me informed every step of the way prior to and post procedure.Sharon Barry This place does unnecessary blood work based off of ER PA staff peranoria on opioid addiction. They do not take to time to look at a patients history before jumping the gun and making a judgement call on a patient. They sterio type people. We will never go back to parkland aka park n die as it is known as. No wonder doctor and nursing staff are leaving like crazy…that in it’s its self tells you something. Worst experience ever…..Ed Sherman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDr C, the Phys Asst, the Nurse and administrative reception were all professional and supportive. When you come to the doctor not knowing what to expect, it certainly helps to get reassurance and understanding. Thank you.tracyd1233⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGood experience at Parkland Medical Center radiology services in Salem. Highly recommend for convenience and efficiency.wxdvb⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe entire staff at IMCU were exceptional, constantly letting me know what they were doing, but even better, they all took the time to explain why they were doing it and what we expected to accomplish. I could not have asked for better treatment. The food, while still hospital food and tailored to meet my specific needs, was surprisingly good.Sarah Terban If you want to be treated like you are bothering people by seeking help, this is your spot. If dealing with dismissive or rude staff when you’re injured sounds like fun, this is the place to be! If being subjected to illegal cavity searches against your will sounds like a good time, then head on down! My Nana lived in Derry for many years; in a little wicker basket on her kitchen table, she kept a pill bottle with a note wrapped around it with a rubber band. In big red marker it said “DO NOT TAKE ME TO PARKLAND!!!” I will die there (in regular pen) Enough said.David McSweeney⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis place doesn’t get the credit it truly deserves. You’ve always been good to us when we come there. Awesome staff, not bad on the wait times, and easy to get to. Hopefully nothing happens again, but if it does I’ll definitely always consider this place if I’m in the area.h.n r⭐️⭐️Was there in the morning on 7/8/19 around 11am. The intake nurse in the triage room was so rude and unfriendly. Once inside the ER,all the nurses were great. But seriously I would go to Elliot just to avoid that one nurse. She made an already stressful situation worse.Nikki S Do not use this “medical Center” as a from of emergency help, the wait time is a lie, and the doctors barely speak proper English and wrote out m
