Before you go to Perdido Bay, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Pensacola emergency room think.
Roger ProdacterThese people do not have very good people skills at all. When I called to inquire about how many rooms they had available they responded in a very smart way and said WE HAVE 3 but we can’t guarantee anything. Then I asked if they had the equipment to help with severe vertigo and nausea and they were very short with me. I ended up not taking my family member to this place. Avoid this place at all costs. Very unprofessional/uncaring acting people. One more thing. My grandmother came to this facility and she had a very bad cold with sinus pressure. She waited easily 2 hours as the other reviewers noted. Then when the doctor finally did “SEE” her he popped his head in the door and didn’t even sit down to exam her. He simply said to buy over the counter decongestants and tylenol. From now on we will drive across town to a REAL urgent care facility with REAL doctors.Ashley Renee⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAwesome ER! Tonight marks the 3rd visit to this emergency room and having the experiences I’ve had all 3 visits I pray I never have to use Sacred Heart or Baptist Er again. It’s always quick, the staff is so respectful and nice and the treatment and discharge are hassle free and speedy! I hope that is stays this way. It’s so convenient because it’s right around the corner from home and it is such an awesome alternative than having to go to the crowded nasty waiting rooms in the bigger hospitals !! Thanks for all you do to make it easy for the people in need of your services !Hailey NorthamI went in, in early May for what i thought to be a spider bite. They got me back rather quickly. Doctor stood in doorway (didn’t even walk in the tiny jail cell like room), and told me it looks to be non venomous to take Benadryl. Saw the bite from a distance, didn’t even do anything but charges me $970 for the visit? For what? To sit and chat?? Do not go there. They didn’t even send an itemized receipt, but i surely get a call daily for the $970.Nicole Duckworth⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe doctor and the nursing staff that was working on 12/7/2019 at 2 A.M. had the best bedside manner I have ever, seen and have been in nursing 22 years, they were so helpful and nice , Dr Gary Wright, Nurse Judy and one more that helped are the best thoughtful and kindJuleah HudsonWaited for 2 hours with a broke foot and they straight out told me “I dont think its broken”.. No X-rays, just a condensing expression and a long wait for nothing. I now know why there are so many bad reviews here.Katoshia SteeleThe doctor literally yelled at me because I asked him to take a deeper look. I’m having excruciating pain and he yells at me and says I’m not a medical emergency and I can leave. I just needed help. I have never in my life been treated so poorly EVER! He treated me as if I’m seeking drugs when in all reality I just need help. That’s all. I would never recommend ANYONE to go here EVER! I’m so hurt, I’m humiliated and I’m still in pain and he says I owe HIM an apology!!! I’m appalled.Courtney Jacobus⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHands down one of the best experiences I’ve had with an ER. They were there to help my baby in what was a very scary incident. She’s ok and I have them to thank for all their work and kindness. Dr Navarro and the team of nurses were amazing.Sara Prete⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had the best experience here a few months ago when I was having really bad rib pain. The doctor had great bed side manor and fun personality, the nurses were great. No wait. Best ER experience.Stephanie Nicholson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy kids, husband and I have been to this ER many times. Love itt! Very clean, nice and professional staff. Easy to talk and explain things to the DR’s/nurses. Very convenient and would recommend this ER to anyone in the area. Thank you! 5 stars!!Donnie Hall⭐️⭐️Do not know what they are doing! Very rude staff. And some staff are not rude. But the ones that are its seriously pathetic theway the act towards a mother and 2 sick children.Elizabeth Michael-Sorensen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIt’s unfortunate that people leave these poor reviews considering that when they call and ask questions, they must realize they are pulling staff away from patient care. How do you know if that person answering the phone was just dealing with a life saving emergency? They’re not going to necessarily have time to answer silly questions like “how long is the wait” “how much does it cost”. If the cost or wait has any baring on whether or not you come to the ER-than it’s not an emergency and you should go to an urgent care. This staff is always prompt and helpful. As an ER physician myself-I saw how hard the staff worked to balance a heavy workload and overheard them often getting phone calls asking about hours, prices, and wait times. They need support staff to answer these calls that is not needed for bedside care.Christy OliverThe experience with the ER and the staff was fine. We were seen quickly but then had a very long wait time for treatment. Went Oct 3rd. My daughter had a pimple on her bum and I was worried it was infected. Doctor put gel on it. Left and returned and hour later. He squeezed the pimple and some clear fluid came out. Doctor said she was fine and put some ointment and a piece of gauze and tape over it. I got a bill 2 months later from the ER and the Dr. The price was almost 4K! I was able to work with the hospital and paid a fair amount. The doctor bill is $1800. They will not work with me on trying to find out why a pimple pop cost so much! I don’t have insurance and said so repeatedly at the time! I never would have gone to this place if I had known they would charge so much for a pimple! I have been trying to work with them for a fair bill for 9 months! Stay away. The physicians over charge!Pete⭐️⭐️I went one night in this week with a very severe ankle injury. I understand how triage works, and understand that an ankle injury isn’t life threatening and will be low on the totem pole, so I expected some wait. However, during the *three* hours I was there, not one person offered to help elevate my leg or give me an ice pack for the swelling, which is “sprain 101.” My ankle was so swollen, it looked like someone glued half a grapefruit to my foot. My discharge papers also did not list how long to use the crutches (even though the NP told me a week), nor did they even list that they wanted me to use the crutches. So now, I have no documentation for work to prove that I might need to park closer or limit my movement. Now that I’ve been to this ER more than once (unrelated incident a while back) I can say, if you are literally the only person in the waiting room, you will get adequate attention. Otherwise, try for an urgent care center instead of this place. I would have had it not been after hours.Corey Eberhardt⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone involved in my care were amazing!! Made me very comfortable@Kenneth York⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedPrompt, professional, courteous and thorough. Highly recommend for ER need.Andrew Talbot⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNot that I want to go to the ER, but that is the BEST ER!!! Staff was….unbelievable! So nice, friendly and personal! Dr. Z, hard to believe he is a doctor with such a great personality! Staff, were, all friendly, kind and I cannot say enough good things about them!!!Shannon BooneWish i could rate this place a 0! If you want quick this is the place to go, if you want thorough and accurate it’s definitely not the place! Yes you are in and out in less than 30 mins but they misdiagnosed my daughter saying she had a stomache virus when in fact she had the flu AND strep! No tests were ran they said they try to save those tests for infants and the elderly. Then they misdiagnosed me as well on another visit. They don’t rin tests or xrays they give you a zofran and send you home then have the collection agency call saying you owe the physician almost $3,000 for a 5 minute look over and a misdiagnosis! This placd is a joke snd a money racket! The Dr.s seem like they have no clue. I knew my baby had the flu i even told them that but they still diagnosed her with the stomache virus.ray sibley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI took a bad fall and was taken to ER at Perdido Bay ER. A very caring staff greeted me and took me to x-ray almost immediately. I had fractured my large femur bone as it goes into the hip socket. Dr. Morrison attended to me. He brought his teenage son in to meet me as well. They transferred me to West Florida Hospital where I underwent surgery. Dr. Morrison took time out to call over to the hospital after my surgery to see how I was doing. I would highly recommend the staff and Doctors at Perdido Bay ER, they’re the best and well qualified having worked years in other facilities throughout the Pensacola, Fl area.. A+ rating from me.Sarah S⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExpected the worst, received the best! In from out of state with my toddler and several extended family members, the last place I wanted to spend any time was an ER. However, when my toddler got rapidly ill, and no outpatient practice would see her and the closest urgent care recommended an ER for us, I felt this was the best option despite my expectations (overworked therefore abrupt/rude staff, extremely long wait, etc). (I’m a physician, so I am speaking about myself as well when I say that overworked personnel just don’t perform as well.) What a lovely surprise!! The triage nurse, both room nurses, and the treating PA were all personable, compassionate with my screaming toddler and my anxious self, and competent. The wait was minimal. The staff didn’t force anything on my daughter but tried to wait for good intervals and to use me to help, and did a great job of respecting the mother-toddler bond. The facility was obviously new — I care much less about shiny walls than I do good clinicians — but it didn’t hurt that the place was very clean. Thank you to all the professionals — nurses Casi, Sherri, and Susi, and PA Kevin — for making me feel like we were cared for, not just treated. God bless you all as you care for your future patients.Rebecca KrawitzSpoke with a female named Jenny who had a horrible, condescending attitude which really ruined my whole first impression. I called to find out more information about pricing as I do not want to walk into an ER blind and get ripped off. She was very rude and very much what I call a smart a**. I will avoid this place due to the impression I got from Jenny. Thanks but no thanks.Jeannie Bodie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Fast in and out. Everyone was friendly only concern is referal. The staff was awesome. I broke my foot according to dr. Paper work says sprained ankle no mention bone chip Also say i need to see primary dr, or dr on call. Called dr office on papers and ortho department said i needed to see dr on call. In order to do i needed to go to main hospital.. i know it was friday after 4 but rudeness unnecessary. Also dr on papers isnt the dr on call. Scheduler at west florida was rude. No one wants to pay er room deductible twice…Sara Sirchia⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedUnfortunately, we’ve been to this ER three times since they’ve been open. Once for a severe ear infection, once for complications after an auto accident, and once for wound care that required stitches. Every time, the care has been wonderful, the staff has been nothing but polite and friendly, and Dr. Seaman is absolutely a joy to work with, especially with children. I am so glad to have this facility down the street from us, for when the inevitable happens. Every time I’ve walked in, we’ve never had to stay for longer than an hour before getting complete care. Of course, this is a standalone small building, so not the place to go if you require surgery or know you will need to be admitted or have extensive lab testing. But their triage game is on point. Highly, highly recommended!Andy StevensHorrible the abosulte worst doctor so rude I would not send anyone thereella MillerFront desk staff if very unfriendly and not helpful. My husband came in on Tuesday April 16th due to falling 10 feet to the ground. He was bleeding internally with low blood pressure. The receptionist was very rude to everyone he saw. 2 non emergency people went back before us ( one being a tooth ache, and we were there before him, and the other a pain meds refill) I even went and told the man my husband was not doing well and needed to do back. He told me there were no rooms, I then asked him do they not take patients back on an emergency basis, he responded yes. We waited an hour and 15 mins to go back. Once we were back there though, the Dr. and the nurse were very fast acting. My husband lacerated his spleen and had to be transferred by ambulance to sacred heart hospital for the trauma team to handle him. I would recommend a new receptionist man and a new security officer, who also sat on his butt looking at his phone and sharing whatever he was watching with the other receptionist who didn’t help us. These two men were the ones on duty Tuesday morning of April 16th.Nisha PowellI see my review was deleted so i will post another one !!! I will start off by saying i have been here multiple time an after my last incident it was definitely my last. I brought my daughter (7 months) in April 8th at about 1am with a temp of 104.9 , To begin she had this 104.9 fever from the time we arrived till we were discharged ( why discharge a 7 month old with a high temp after giving Tylenol and Motrin didn’t work). When she was hooked up to the machines they noticed her hear rate was also high 190-210 ( also stayed high an still was released). I told the nurses all her symptom’s an recommended they run test for the flu , which they didn’t an only ran it for RSV. To test if you have the flu or rsv they stick a q-tip in your nose so when you take the sample why not run it for every illness possible ? After being their a hour they came an told me she didnt have rsv an thought maybe she was just dehydrated . She wouldnt eat or drink an not one time did they suggest fluids for her after i asked again . Doctor came in said she looked fine just was running a virus but wanted to keep her for another hour or so to monitor. After them checking her temp over the next 2 hours it never went down but still no answers or anything was done . When the nurse brought in my discharge papers i asked him so whats the solution ? My baby has had this high temp for hours , not eating/dehydrated ,high heart rate so whats wrong ? His response was the doctor has been doing this for many years an is sure she will be okay / WTF!!! if this was your child you would accept this so why should i ? I took my baby to her pediatrician when they finally opened an test came back she had the Flu !!!My baby didn’t get any medicine until 8pm that night when all of this could’ve been avoided . Not only did you all disappoint me you made a baby suffer without medication. Instead of rushing in and out of the patients rooms actually take time to LISTEN .Jamie GoodwinAwful. Experience in itself was good at the ER. However, was there for not even 90 minutes – drove myself – got CT scans and talked to nurse and a month later they charged me for over 19k dollars without EVER sending me a bill, then six months later I get a notice about going to collections for an additional $2k bill that was unpaid but had never seen. No one I could talk to regarding the charges. Complete rip off. Will NEVER re-visit. Customer service was unbelievably rude.Haleigh Knight⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExtremely friendly staff took excellent care of my mom; in and out quick; clean facility.. We are so thankful we chose Perdido Bay ER !Casey White⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe were treated like royalty. All questions answered completely.Chris M⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’m glad that this place had opened up and so much convenient since we live on the west side. We had taken our daughter to be seen and check a rash that has been infected. The staff are very friendly and seem to be stress free and not so much trying to rush. We didn’t wait long since when we got there it was empty and no patients waiting. The place is very clean and smells clean for being brand new building.Michael Hampe⭐️⭐️This place try’s to claim they are an ER Trauma center to make themselves feel good. They are not an accredited ER in Florida… it takes more than a building and some nurses… the real definition of a trauma center is clearly defined and they don’t meet it. Face it, all they can do is stabilize any patients they can before transferring them to the big boys… you won’t find any lifeline or other helicopters bringing them life threatening patients… it’d be a waste of time and resources and possibly patients life. Chest pain strokes and tooth aches… they are ok… gunshot, bad accidents, etc you better go to a real ER Trauma Center…Noah KellyThis is place IS HELL. Rather die then get seen by a doctor here. Never again!!! Lol they dont even know who the doctors are…. This place is a horrible joke to man kind…Seirra Polk⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedJust left this hospital and I was only there for about 15 mins. Very great and caring staff. Gave me exactly what I needed. Definitely will be my new go to for an emergency.Catherine Mitchell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe care and attention in the E/R in Perdido Bay is Super Fabulous. I appreciated The Outstanding Job by The Doctor and His stuff They All to be commended for Their Knowledge, Professionalism, Great Attitudes, Kindnesses, Caring (the warm blanket was Superb) The Whole Place was Clean and Neat so I knew that I was getting The Best Care. E/R in Perdido Bay is A Wonderful place to go when You need Medical Attention ❤️ A Big to All.Jennifer Rae Fuchek⭐️⭐️Literally less than 12 chairs in waiting room. Was there for at least 45 minutes before they called my daughter to even triage her. The screen with peoples’ names & statuses showed some people have been here at LEAST 4 hours (2) some 3 hours (2) and some others (8). So far I’m not impressed.MacLean Kumi⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy wife had an excellent emergency services at perdido key emergency hospital operated by West Florida. Friendly staff and emergency medicine MD, Stephanie. Rooms and environment are very clean.Kortney Pope⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery clean ER. We went in the morning and had no wait. The doctors and nurses were amazing.Christa Kiefer⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe ppl here are really sweet they take really good care of u they r fastDawn Aycock⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLoved this place, medical staff kind, caring staff. The G4S guard at the front desk, rude, insensitive. However, the actual facility is top notch.holly martrainMy mother went in with severe stomach pains. They diagnosed her with an UTI and refused an X Ray that she requested. Next day she went to Baptist and had to have emergency surgery from an abscess on her appendix. Very unsatisfied with the care at Perdido Bay ER. Don’t waste your time and money!Jessica Kinney⭐️⭐️Nurses were very sweet. Doctor was rude. I’m giving 2 stars because they almost made up for his condiscending attitude. His tone and demeanor made me feel like a piece of trash. I worked in a doctors office and managed the lab – I know what they deal with and I was just looking for stronger antibiotics for my now double internal and external ear infection – by the way, you are instructed to go back if your condition worsens or is not better in a certain amount of days. The parking lot and lobby were empty – I was not trying to take priority over any one else. Had it been during normal hours I would have gone to urgent care or my primary but I couldn’t wait for my 2nd ear to get worse. Nurses are angels! This 2 Star rating is an average for the rude doc and kind nurses.Jacquelyn GarsideVery clean facility. However, will not return because of my experience with Dr. Zavoral. My 6 month old had been being treated for thrush and my primary care physician failed to put in medication for myself. I went to the ER early one morning in great pain. I let Dr. Zavoral know all of this. He briefly looked at the baby and said “that’s not thrush.” Ok? He then proceeded to need to do a breast exam? Um, ok? My pain was piercing and burning on the inside after breastfeeding, nothing you’re gonna see externally… as he didn’t. After waiting an hour or so and he and I going round and round about what I had going on (in his opinion it was a latching issue. Mind you, I have two children under two and have been breastfeeding almost the entire time. I THINK I’ve got the latch down.) He left the room and a short while later my nurse came in and I asked if I could leave because I didn’t feel like I was being heard, and my concerns weren’t being addressed. My nurse said he had my discharge paperwork and a prescription, and a huge stack of printout information in thrush. Come to find out Dr. Google went and actually did some research to find out that all of my symptoms, and my child’s, pointed directly to thrush. I thanked my nurse and on my way out Dr. Zavoral came towards my room, yet still in the hallway, (HIPPA) states that I was correct “I’m just a Dr. I can’t know everything.” Ok, sir. I understand that, but you can listen to your patients a little bit better next time… and maybe before the ABSOLUTLEY unnecessary breast exam!Dorian Sumpter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDoctors and staff were very pleasant and a joy to be around.Karyn Lowe!I regret going here, what a waste of time. I didn’t even get the help I needed!Ernie Martinez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery good place to go. Doctors listen and staff very friendly.jacqueline averhartI went to the ER because of a infected finger on 5/21.Dr Morrison came in looked at and said it didn’t need to be lanced, but I went to another Dr on the following day. He x-rayed it and I had surgery the following morning. Not only was my finger infected by I had mrsa and eventually on 6/11I had to have part of my finger amputated. If I ever have to go back there I don’t want him to look at me at all!!!!!Dixie BullardI will not go back to perdido emergency room bc they don’t take care of there patients and there needs. They treat everybody like they are drug addicts.Markesha DeedsSo on today we sat in the waiting room for 3 hrs with my 7 year old son he throwing up everywhere and everyone that signed in after us got called before us. I had to go off in order for my son to be seen!! I do not appreciate this at all!!!william rabeYou are greeted by security gaurd with minimal medical experience they don’t have anyone up front they don’t even ask for your information or what problems you may be having avoid this place drive to a different hospitalCrystal Toudt⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast and friendly peopleTare Allen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️efficient, respectful, quik in and out, clean,Sharon Blom⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest ER in town!Randall Haney⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast, efficient, compassionate, and friendly
