A lot of the negative reviews are from people that weren’t even having a legitimate medical emergency – so yes, you are going to have to wait on people that are having one! Some of the best doctors and nurses I’ve ever interacted with, and they comforted me when I was very emotionally distressed. Absolutely great staff, and I am so grateful for them.Tiffany Gaskins This Emergency Room is trash. Triage gets their job done. Can’t say the same for the rest. Wait times are way off. They don’t ask if you’re in pain or what symptoms you’re having. They just take your vitals and keep it moving. They are very inattentive of each person’s needs and doing their job is more of a priority than caring for the patients in a timely manner. He was apprehensive because he never sees a doctor—he hasn’t been to a doctor in the last 10 years. Christiana, NP was fantastic!!! She was so thorough at explaining what was going on and she was so careful and great with the stitches. She answered every question we had and also was very personable and friendly. Probably the best provider I’ve ever met! Thanks Christiana for all that you do—keep up the great work!SHARON WHITE I went here this past Friday. I had severe neck pain. I checked in. I waited 5 hours to be seen. When I finally made it to the back, the doctor took 2 minutes and said my pain was muscular. DUH!!!!! He prescribed me some pain and muscle relaxers. Okay, no problem. But then the nurse comes in with an 800 motrin. I take it thinking something else was coming behind it. But no, they discharged me! Now, needless to say I had been distressed, in pain and tired from the waiting and had fallen asleep and was groggy waiting on the doctor to come in. But by the time I walk out the emergency room I am fully awake and aware of what just happened. I am walking out to my car after 2 am in the morning in 30+ degree weather and my neck literally feels like it’s locking up! So basically I got billed for a $150 copay for a 2 minute visit and a motrin! I went back in and asked if there was anything else they could do because there was no way I could drive an hour with my neck hurting as bad as it did. Atlanta streets are mad bumpy. They told me without anyone accompanying me they couldn’t give me anything stronger than a motrin and since I already left out the doors I would have to be seen again. So what makes me ANGRY is that NO ONE EVEN ASKED IF I COULD HAVE SOMEONE PICK ME UP OR IF I COULD UBER/LFYT HOME!!!!! Even if I couldn’t, they also didn’t ask me if I tried anything for pain; they would’ve found out I took 2 800 motrins and they didn’t help!!! They could’ve at least given me something and kept me for observation until I was able to drive. So I left WORSE than when I came in!!!!!!!! I cried until I could get a friend of mine to wake up and bring me a muscle relaxer. Needless to say I slept in the parking lot until a pharmacy opened so I could get some medicine. THEY COMPLETELY DROPPED THE BALL AND IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND HOSPITALITY! All my previous experiences with them had been relatively ok but their hiring pools quality has become increasingly more and more unprofessional and lackadaisical.Lakendra Huff Today is the day where I went into the hospital because I was feeling pain because I’m pregnant. I sit beside a woman or elderly woman that said her doctor sent her to the hospital because of internal bleeding and that she had been there for seven hours waiting on a room. As I was waiting to be seen I observe that the majority of the staff at the front is very inefficient and lacks professionalism in every manner. Either way by the time I was done being seen as I got ready to walk out the door the lady collapsed on the floor and died in a puddle of blood because of their lack of common courtesy their lack of professionalism and their lack of Common Sense. My Spirit told me to go to Piedmont Henry with the hope that she would get the best care and experience and my wishes cane true. The hospital was nice, neat, orderly and clean. It was not crowded and it was not a very long wait. The hospital administration and nurses were very proactive and attentive to my mothers needs. We did have to wait a couple of hours but you could tell that they were on top of everything. My mother was very pleased and impressed with the service and doctor care she received. She only had a bad bruise – Thank God – that is healable with some tender love and care. Today she reflected on her hospital experience positively. And if she ever needs s doctor or hospital in the future. She is going to To this one for sure. Thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and hospital administration for all their help in making my Mother well❤️ ‼️samantha williams Absolutely ridiculous, I have been here with my 1 1/2 yr old grand daughter since 4:30p.m , it is now 7:20p.m and we still have not been seen, she has a head injury, some lady that said she is the doctor but refused to give me her name acted as if I was bothering her by asking her her name , I asked for her name several times but she refused, o definitely will be going to higher up yo find out who she is and mark my words I will be contacting the board of nursing or who ever I have to to ensure something is done.Susan Jones My 92 year old father fell, thought it prudent to have him checked out, as he was complaining of back and neck pain as well as both elbows scraped and bleeding. Should have made the longer drive to Emory!! The clerk who checked us in was polite enough as was the triage nurse. That’s just about where it ended. ER nurse never cleaned up his elbows, he left a trail of blood everywhere went! The CT tech did finally place some gauze over them, guess they didn’t want the blood on their equipment!! I will say the xray tech Alex (?) was great with daddy!! The big kick in the teeth for me was upon release… Nurse cones in and says, ok you can go. No wheelchair, nothing!! Remember, 92, here because he fell!!! I had to tell her my father was not walking out of that hospital!!! At this point he was doing good to take two steps!!! Both the ER Dr and the nurse acted as though our being there was a complete inconvenience to them!! I had to ask the ER Dr if he could give daddy something for pain, as we both knew the pain was only going to increase over the next few days. Someone then came in and ask if he was still taking a certain med for pain, told her, I supplied the burse with a complete med list when we got here!! Disgusted to say the least and will not go back;!! This facility is also clean and quiet. Perfect thank you night staff Jabber Wocky 6.5 hrs later still sitting here. 3 hrs in the main waiting room, 3.5 hrs in the exam room- still no Dr. No answers either. Just a bunch of excuses about how busy they are, yet the main waiting room was all but empty maybe 2-3 here before us, but as i sit and wait i’m comforted by the sounds of jovial laughter and general merriment by the ER staff. At least they seem to be in good spirits. Dont be in a hurry if your headed this way. Better off with duct tape and whiskey.
