Before you go to Presbyterian Rust Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Rio Rancho emergency room think.
Michele Simonsen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had to go to the emergency room and it was a really busy night. They checked me in quickly and started the necessary procedures. Yes, I did have to go back out to the waiting area between the needed tests however the entire staff was great. They take the sickest patients first which is how it should be. It was a long wait but I wish people would understand that an emergency room is not a first come first served. The staff is busting butt to take care of everyone as fast as possible but please understand you have no idea how many people they are dealing with at the same time and how important their jobs are.Barbara Pebley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis may be a little boring but in my opinion is worth reading. I went to the Mergen see room from the moment I walked through the door and was admitted into the hospital and all through the My five day stay it was beyond first class. Everyone there was caring and attentive and I apologize for not remembering their names. When I was admitted on the fourth for all the nurses, the nurse techs, and the respiratory techs Took such great care of me. Thank you so much Judy, Beverly, floor, Tracy and everyone else whose names I do not remember for all your help and support. I believe part of all their Great work is due to the fact that they enjoy their work and they enjoy working with each other. I’ve read some of the reviews on this hospital and other hospitals as well and was so surprised to see how many negative comments there were. Most of these complaints were about the emergency room. I wondered how many people in the area actually went to a doctor or an urgent care facility first and how many came to the ER because the time was more convenient for them which is usually the most convenient time for everyone else All I can say from my experience from the people that clean the rooms, the people that deliver the food and of course all the great medical staff should get 10 stars. I even asked someone if they had to take a course in hospitality. So thank you presbyterian rust hospital again I am very gratefulJosephine Griego⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAudrey Clark, THANK YOU SO MUCH for being so awesome, patient, and helpful. You were always there when we had questions or needed something. The doctors and nurses at the 5th floor who took care of my mom in room 5109 were amazingly awesome. My mom had the best care ever. Unfortunately she passed away from complications. God took her home. Again, THANK YOU all for making my mom comfortable and giving her the best care ever. God bless you. Josephine GriegoVicki Mayhew⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff is efficient, knowledgeable and skilled. Nurses and doctors couldn’t be any kinder and are genuinely concerned for your well-being . The rooms are private and comfortable for patient and visitors. Emergency room was the quickest I have ever been seen in.Jovannah S⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis hospital is the best! I used to think UNMH was top of the line until I had a critical issue that made me drive to Kaseman and from there I was transported to Rust ICU. I had nurses stationary in my room until I was moved to the general area. Nurses were still attentive and quick to respond to any of my concerns or requests. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.Valerie Duhr⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have been going to Rust since 2014, including the emergency department, and I have ALWAYS been treated kindly and professionally. All of the doctors, nurses, technicians, are friendly. I have NEVER had to wait for a long time to see a doctor for a regular appointment, or in emergency.Steve Bertuca⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone that cared for my mom were very nice and professional would like to recognize Diego and johnny both were very attentive and kind. Bedside manner was excellent great job guys!Damon Larmon⭐️⭐️⭐️The md there’s a saving grace of this emergency room… takes a little time but all in all not a bad placeMaggie IrraReally bad experience today with nurses and doctor, they do not care too much about my situation, they send me home, with the same simptom I came, the excuse was because they not having enough rooms and they need it for the other patients. Great!!!! Next time I will go to another hospital.Julio Cesar Irra⭐️⭐️I been taking my wife to ER many times and always have a really nice experience, except this 02/10/2020 the lady in front desk was so horrible, I asked for a wheel chair, told me she will call someone to get it, a Nurse came with a wheel chair and I ask her if that was for my wife, she didn’t answer me and keeping going, asked the front desk lady about the chair and she gave me attitude, the security guys knows about the help about received and He told me he will find me one, and he did it, the same nurse Alex was the one did saw my wife, given us attitude too. I told her that my wife can not be around about sick people because she has a immune disease, also I told her that my wife was not feeling good and she can have a anaphylactic attack. Ignore us about it we came out in the waiting room and a couples minutes has the anaphylactic attack so I did shoot her the epi pen medicine, and again the security guys were the one has to call the ER personal. I hope not having that problem again.Matt McLaughlinSkip this hospital and go to Lovelace. Night and day difference in how fast you get in at the ER and an even better experience from Lovelace’s Doctors.Averi GleasonI literally sat here for 8 hours to be sent home with nothing for pain or anything. They didn’t even out in an iv and i have kidney infection. Should be medical malpractice. I will never ever be back to a presbyterian facility. They’re a joke.Vicky JojolaMy experience at Rust Medical Center Emergency Room was a harrowing experience. I checked in to the ER after experienig a head injury. The triage nurse was clearly overworked and very unfriendly. As I sat in the ER waiting room, I witnessed people with chest pains being ignored, an elderly woman slumped over a wheelchair, people vomiting and everyone being ignored. I was in excruciating pain! Being ignored, shoved aside, triage and charge nurses lying to us that Dr. Abott was reviewing our tests. On February 10, 2020, I was finally put in a room. There were alot of available empty rooms! Why the long wait? Then I met Dr. Abbot, I have never met such an arrogant Dr. He was rude to me and my husband. There I found out I had a concussion. There I found out no one ever reviewed my tests, I asked all the important questions about medications, treatment etc. My husband and doctor ended up on a shouting match! Dr. Abbott had quite a few shouting matches with all of the staff and other patients. After waiting for several hours I was given acetaminophen for pain, then ignored by nurses and staff for basic needs. I even disconnected all of my vitals monitoring equipment, still no one came to check. My husband helped me get dressed, put me in a wherlchair and we left. Only 1 nurse tried to stop us! I left an emergency room without anyone trying to stop or help us. The next day I was shocked to see on My Chart that the Doctor and nurses claimed that they had given me an after visit summary and discharge papers! It is NOT OK for a Dr. Or nurses to falsify discharge documents! What kind of third world country hospital is Rust emergency room? What kind of staff treats people with such disrespect? What kind of doctor yells at patients and staff? I know I will never go to Rust ER again. Go anywhere else! Being in pain and suffering a concussion was painful enough, but when I was told everyone was too busy to help me, I left! Best decision ever! Dont go there…especially if you are experiecing an emergency! Go somewhere else where you can get decent care.Jannel ChavezThis hospital is a joke. My mom went in 3 days in a row with severe abdominal pain and was throwing up blood in front of the nurses who didn’t care at all. Excessive wait time on all 3 days but waited 7 hours in the waiting room on the 3rd day with no medication whatsoever. The front desk people were getting annoyed that I was asking how much longer since we were told it’d be a 2 hour wait, they also didn’t care since they weren’t the ones in pain. If the staff isn’t going to be helpful at all the least they can be is friendly.Missa KWorst experience I have ever had at an emergency room ever. Went in Saturday at 6pm with severe side pain. Told the triage nurse, the er room nurse and the doctor EXACTLY where the pain was. The doctor chose to do lab work and an ultrasound on the OPPOSITE side of where the pain was. 3 hours later walks in asks if my pain is any better after doing NOTHING and when I said no, he said okay well I’m sending you home if the pain gets worse come back. Which it did i went to a different pres. Emergency room which diagnosed me with 3 kidney stones within 30 minutes of being checked in. Not only did the rust doctor not listen when sending me off without treatment but he cost me an extra $300 er visit because my insurance charges per visit. I would rather die than be seen here again. Negative stars are earned at this establishmentMandy Cakes⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was taken there by ambulance and the nurses, doctors and surgeons were excellent. They saved my life by performing an emergency ileostomy to remove four feet of my small intestine. I spent a month there and nothing is a hundred percent perfect, but they are people I will forever be grateful for.Natasha⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI took my little guy in last night we were pulled in immediately and seen by a Dr. less then 10 minutes after being put in a room. They were very friendly and prompt with treatments. I was very pleased.Abigail Avalos⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Huge, clean, and good service. Sometimes slow service, but I have visited many family members and friends here and even gone here myself for care. Overall, I have been pleased.Laura Lemmo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery nice hospital. Nice kind caring nursesabraham noresNext time I’ll just be better off going to a witch doctor. Don’t go there!!!Lucille Rubio⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIf im asked what hospital I’d like to go to ? My answers is “always” ‘Rust (Where Im sure I’m given the Best of Care ❤Josie Olguin-GonzalesNever have I heard a Dr say “well I don’t know what’s going on” and not continue to run tests!! My husband asked for an MRI & the Dr stated well you know it’s very expensive!! Well it’s sad that the Dr was more concerned about the cost of the MRI rather than the concern of the patient.Anna SchneiderHorrible experience. Waiting room full. Patients with vomit bowls and masks. My husband was in extreme pain. No communication from staff and still waiting after 4 hoursKristie CordovaRust is an awful place to go. I went into the ER i had internal bleeding. The ER doctor was great but after surgery things took a turn for the worst They kicked me out after surgery before i could get woken up. They told my husband come on you got to her up and go. So i was rushed out. I ended up back in the hospital 2 days later with sever pain in my head. I waited hours and no to get pain meds after the doctor ordered them. I asked someone about it and i could hear him ask my nurse and her reply was ugh! She is just going to have to wait . well i had waited 3 hours at that point. I ended up needing a blood transfusion something they would have known right after surgery if that had not rushed me out. At my follow up visit i complained again of pain the doctor said i was fine and I ended up with a very bad infection. This place is a nightmareJulio IrraHorrible service 02/18/2020 this hospital going down in medical services, all the medical personal today were the worse. Last time I’m coming here for emergency.Lisa DukeMy fiance was admited for 3 days for shortness of breath, and chest pain. For 3 days, 8/19/19 thru 8/21/19. He left the 21st which was a wed and they just didnt know what was wrong. Thursday, 8/22/19 he had a heart attack and i took him to lovelace westside where they had him taken by ambulance to the heart hospital right away. He had a blood clot removed and has several more to be removed. He was there 3 days and they didnt find this!!!!!!! Never will i trust Rust with anyone. They are nothing but a pretty buildibg.Bill WillsCancer center. I sure wish I had the perfect cancer that causes no pain and suffering. Unfortunately what’s left of my life will get no help from this outfit. They only look at blood work and completely ignore the patient’s suffering and symptoms. If you have a cancer that causes no pain, this place might be o.k. If your suffering and in mystery don’t bother going here, take your cancer somewhere else. The setting for the cancer center is nice, but that’s where nice ends, MD’s with closed minds.TMC⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My husband recenthlydl day surgery at rustDonovan Kennedy⭐️⭐️⭐️Parking is horrible when it’s busy. The place is clean though. Seems like they are trying to make improvements.Jose Rivera worse place to go. This place is upsetting. GO SOMEWHERE IS IF YOU WANT TO GET TREATED. IF YOU LIKE WAITING HOURS TO BE SEEN GO FOR IT.Elysa Johnson⭐️⭐️⭐️Clean facility. Overbill and take advantage of patients.Orion MurphyER Lobby empty, been here for 2 hours. If you can avoid the Rust ER then do so or go elsewhere.Maria Haberle⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy father went into Rust extremely sick. Unfortunately they were not able to help him anymore in the end and he passed. But I have to say, I know that they did everything they could for him. I watched the nurses, respiratory therapists and doctors all work with care on my father and it was so nice to know he was in good hands. We were kept updated as much as possible and every time a nurse came into the room they asked if I needed anything. They were very supportive and gentle with the situation and I couldn’t be more impressed with the staff there. Obviously losing a loved one is painful, but they did everything they could to make it as easy as possible. Highly recommend.Dennis Winter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBeen to all the big hospitals in Albuquerque, RUST is best #1. Sure there is a long wait in ER but all city hospitals have a long wait and they ALL triage the patients per severity of emergency. Shortage of nurses in the whole country is a problem as well. People seem to think the world revolves just around them, Sad that’s not true huh… that doesn’t excuse the few bad apples with bad attitudes to those of us paying them to take care us. That said, it’s not fun waiting in pain and sickness no matter what.Anais RegoIf I could give this place a 0 I would. ER was as close to a nightmare as a nightmare can get. Worst experience of my life came in with untorable pain at 8 am after 9 hours in the emergency room with little communication from the nurses and never seeing a doctor for those 9 hours my diagnosis was that I had a ruptured cyst and blood had extended to my abdomen(same thing happened last year and I was immediately operated on I was at UNM). After hours of waiting for any type of communication about was going to happen. I get admitted and transferred without even seeing a nurse or any type of explanation. On the new floor the nurse was very polite at this point I was crying from pain and frustration. I explained I wanted to see a doctor and that why was I being admitted ofcourse she didn’t have much of an answer either finally after an hour passes by the GYN stopped by he was already going home so upon my request he decided to introduce himself. He explained to me that I was there for pain management and to keep an eye on my hemoglobin level at this point they were around 12. He told me that if it keeps dropping he would have to operate. Throughout the night it continued to drop by 5 am I was at 9.2. After hours of trying to find out what was happening and not getting any answers I had to call for a patient advocate and the charge nurse( I do not blame the staff as they were very polite I just couldn’t believe how this doctor plays with peoples life) by 10 am I requested another blood work and it has elevated to 10 another doctor comes in and tells me he is discharging me that the blood in my stomach will go away on it’s own to rest and take pain pills. I asked the nurse if I could request a second opinion and she said that they dont do that. I wanted to make sure that my hemoglobin wasnt going to drop again and the test came back I was back at 9.2 the doctor said it was fine and that I could go home with blood in my stomach, low hemoglobin and scrutiaing pain. Please if you find yourself on the way to this hospital change direction. All they did was give me pain pills and never fixing the problem. No communication and the doctors dont care about you.Ferdinand AbaloyanMy daughter waited for 4 hours with her infant child who had a 102 degree fever. They had to give up and go elsewhere. I’d give them zero stars but I need to give at least one star for the system to take my comment.A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI wish I could post my photos of the snow!D J⭐️⭐️⭐️Eh…some good, some bad. ER wait not too bad, ER nurse who filled out paperwork was horrible. She hummed this ugly song while asking questions, you couldn’t understand her. She was completely unprofessional. ER doctors were very good and attentive. Floor 4 LeeAnn is the best! If you get her, you’re lucky! The rest are tossups, the nurses in charge were not reliable. I don’t think that the nurses “in charge ” should be assigned patients because they are too busy helping other nurses and didn’t devote the time in caring for me as I should have been.Jewel VigilMy last few visits to the ER was a nightmare. The doctor treated me like I was less important. First, it would take hours to be seen and when the doctor finally came in a nurse came in and interrupted him and then he ran out of the room “dramatically” he came back an hour later basically telling me “theres more important people who need to be treated than me”. I’ve had a fever and a bad cough for more than two weeks, I actually am running a fever as I type this, and I’ve been miserable and been missing work. He told me I would be fine and had no answers to why I have a sore throat, cough, and fever… but here I am, a week later, still SICK! Not to mention. The nurses are always rude. They act like they don’t want to do their jobs. They will avoid you if you have any questions. Every encounter I’ve had with this hospital has been terrible. I have more stories that I can just on and on. They really need to re-staff the whole hospital.Charlene Atencio⭐️⭐️⭐️Okay… I love this hospital, MOSTLY. It is a beautiful facility, always clean. Most of the employees are amazing. However, the one thing keeping me from giving a 5 star rating (and this might seem silly, buuut…) is I bring my mom for physical therapy twice a week. She had a total knee replacement. They’ve been great. The doctors, nurses and physical therapists- wonderful. During physical therapy, they want her to wear shorts so they can see her knee movement. There is a bathroom just outside of the pt room where she changes into shorts since the weather has been colder. Every single time we go into the bathroom for her to change she has to take the smaller bathroom, instead of the handicap stall, to change. My mom is physically disabled and with her knee replacement, this is not an easy task. Here’s where my “beef” with the hospital comes in- every time the handicap stall is occupied, it literally has been employees for Presbyterian. That do not need to use the handicap stall. I keep thinking maybe it’s just coincidence? Maybe the other stall was occupied when they came in? Maybe I should let it go? But for the amount of times we’ve been here and the length of time we’re in the bathroom, I don’t think that is the case. If you’re not disabled, why use that one? Be considerate. Especially for the people that truly need that stall. Okay, I’ll get off of my soap box now. Just needed to vent. We’re here now and it just happened again -.-maemawyWorthless hospital. Came in at 930pm with my dad for chest pain, 3am and we’re still waiting in the ER. Not staffed, no one cares. Unless you are dying no one will do anything. There goal is to just get people have them wait and then bill their insurance. You can die in the waiting room and no one will know. Millions of dollars are spent to make the hospital pretty, but nothing is spent on patient care. Unless you are absolutely dying don’t bother coming. Even if you are, you should probably go to another hospital.Rocio PadillaHad an appointment at another Presbyterian location the map took me here. The receptionist was extremely rude at Presbyterian rust Hospital. The receptionist is the face of the hospital so if that’s the impression she’s giving I do not ever want to come here for my medical needs.Amy SDont bother with this one. They dont take anything serious over here. I saw them kick a guy out who was bleeding on his hand looked like he severed a finger. All because the lady at the counter didn’t hear him the 1st time so he spoke louder and she felt like he was yelling. And there was a girl on the floor needing help they didnt do anything until somebody yelled for help and they took there time to help her. I’m surprised this place is still opened treating people who need help like this. Its ridiculous. Go somewhere else you will be glad you did. How important is your well being cause this is not the place to go to.Monique Hogan⭐️⭐️⭐️Love my ENT who moved from the main hospital to Rust. Love my Orthopedic surgeon & his nurses. His staff not so much, rude disrespectful and caused me to have a month long anxiety attacks & crying from their lack of putting the request for my knee injections in the correct way to my insurance. 3rd round no issues, but I explained to the schedule person how they needed to send for the script for the Dr to put in my injections, and the PA Mike was awesome. The Urology Dept I’ll stay FAR away from… Hence the 3 stars…oh and their ER is a joke.John ByndasThey have a full waiting room and uncaring medical personnel. They should change their model after the VA because they provide the same type of service to the patient. After some thought I would rate the VA higher then this hospital.Bee SilvaI had the worse experience EVER we took our 10 month old son at 1am to be seen in the ER Upon arrival there was about 5 people in front of us we were still in the waiting room at 5AM! My son was constantly vommiting and choking the staff allowed 5 more people in front of my 10 month old to be seen as they were barely walking not in any shape or form to be getting pulled in front of my son. The staff was rude laughing and giggling. I then told them I was taking him to another hospital. We took him to lovelace at 530 he was seen and released within 30 minuets!! Never will i go back to Presbyterian!Adrian NVery disappointing this place has people here that are not for the patient’s only when they choose too!!!!Kim Michaud⭐️⭐️⭐️As far as the MD Anderson staff and Dr Binder and the urology dept they get 5 stars. Negative review deleted because today’s day and evening staff has been great! Last nights people are not here and the staff that is has been awesome!!!Shoshanah Vialpando⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️By far the best hospital experience I’ve had with my father since his cancer. The staff and nurses are always so nice and quick to help! The doctors can be slow to come and talk to you , and testing can take a lot longer than needed at times. The hospital is clean and very well taken care of and the grounds are beautiful for any one who needs outside time. The food is terrible, but that seems to be a norm among hospital food. When I leave my dad I feel completely confident that his level of care will be excellent.Melanie TrujequeI waited several hours, as the other reviewers have noted, I expected this with an Emergency Room. I am a very patient person and I understand that if someone comes in with a higher priority they go to the front of the line, I kept all of that in mind. With all those things being said. My review is based on when my daughter was taken to a room. After she was taken to a room, it was few and far between that we saw anyone, even though we could see the staff talking at the Nurses station. This was my concern, it was clear that she could have been checked on more, offered a blanket, because the room was freezing and none of this happened. I felt there was a lack of empathy and true care for her. After 12 hours we ended up leaving without finishing her care because she felt ignored, freezing and the whole situation was making her worse. I understand the wait completely but when you are taken to a room next to the Nurses station, they should at least be checking on patients every hour, instead of talking about who is going to date who, where patients can over hear.brandon gutierrez“Not the Patient”, My sister was admitted on 1/29/19 for unknown bleeding. The ER staff was top-notch and did a good job. It wasn’t till I got my own room when I experienced the worst care. The nurses don’t know what’s going on when questions are asked, when told she’s in pain it takes a minimum of an hour for them to get her pain Medication. The nurse came in to give medication an hour later and didn’t administer the Medication because they said my sister was asleep (first of all they wake her up for everything else, but god forbid if she needed pain Medication). When calling for a nurse they ignore the page, and when they answer they are rude as if my sister is inconvenience to their “busy” schedule. There was a huge lack of communication between doctors nurses and the phlebotomist. The phlebotomist drew blood at 1300. At 1430 the nurses came in and didn’t know anything about the blood work or where it was, come to find out the phlebotomist shift ended and didn’t communicate with the nurses. The blood never made to the labs. The nurses didn’t even know they took my sister down to surgery Overall this is the worst experience I have seen from a hospital.Layla Williams 01/02/2019 WHY BE IN THIS FEILD IF YOU’RE GOING TO GET ANNOYED WITH PEOPLE COMING IN & NOT WILLING TO HELP YOU? drove here in the worst weather conditions because of the snow.. I tried avoiding coming but anyways From the girl whom checks people in to the nurses they were all annoyed that they had to do work. I asked questions and there was about 6 people or more just sitting and talking to eachother. Looking at me like I was asking a stupid question. I asked where is my urine cup and finally somebody answered… then i finished and ask where do i place it and the nurse walking by stopped to answer my question while the others just ignored me. Why kind of customer service is that. Why be in this feild if all you wanna do is sit around and talk.. i used to love rust but it finally took 3 more bad experiences to say something.. Lilly HIf I could give a lower rating, I would! I was in for day surgery. When I was in recovery I asked where my family member was told talking to the doctor. The “nurse” handed me a pain pill, told me to swallow it using the ice chips I had, and handed me my clothes. I was still coming out of general anesthesia. No one to help me get dressed, still no family member. After I was dressed, he called transport, they took me out to the curb. Still no family member. What were they gonna do, leave me there and call uber? In the mean time my daughter’s and husband come running to where I was. No one ever went to talk to them, or called the phone number. They were waiting in the waiting room. When my number disappeared from the screen, my daughters asked where I was, they were told I was moved to another room and the doctor would be out to talk to them. They looked down and saw me in a wheelchair sitting at the curb. But it gets even better, no discharge notes, and when I asked about it, I was given a summary of my visit. No instructions on how to care for my surgical site. It clearly stated that I would not be discharged without a family member. Beware, do not go there! The only positive is my doctor was great and so was all the pre-op staffMark BennerI was admitted Friday from the ER. This hospital has no services ove
